Jul 1, 2026Slim SEO – A Fast & Automated SEO Plugin For: Unauthorized Private Content DisclosureCVE-2026-12408 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The Slim SEO – A Fast & Automated SEO Plugin For WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Unauthorized Private Content Disclosure in all versions up to, and including, 4.9.8 via the `/wp-json/slim-seo/meta-tags/ai` REST API endpoint. This is due to the endpoint's `permission_callback` performing only a top-level `edit_posts` capability check without verifying that the requesting user has read access to the specific post supplied via the `object.ID` parameter, allowing the `generate` function to pass the attacker-controlled post ID to `Data::get_post_content()`, which calls `get_post()` regardless of post status or ownership. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to retrieve AI-generated summaries of the raw `post_content` of arbitrary posts they are not authorized to view — including private posts, drafts, pending, future, and password-protected content authored by other users — with the substance of the protected content disclosed via the HTTP response.

Apr 17, 2026Tutor LMS – eLearning and online course solution: Unauthorized course content manipulationCVE-2026-5502 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3
The Tutor LMS – eLearning and online course solution plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized course content manipulation in versions up to and including 3.9.8. This is due to a missing authorization check in the tutor_update_course_content_order() function. The function only validates the nonce (CSRF protection) but does not verify whether the user has permission to manage course content. The can_user_manage() authorization check only executes when the 'content_parent' parameter is present in the request. When this parameter is omitted, the function proceeds directly to save_course_content_order() which manipulates the wp_posts table without any authorization validation. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access and above to detach all lessons from any topic, move lessons between topics, and modify the menu_order of course content, effectively allowing them to disrupt the structure of any course on the site.

This is due to the 'process_checkout' function not properly enforcing the plan active status check when a 'change_plan_sub_id' parameter is provided. The PrivateContent Free plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'align' shortcode attribute in the [pc-login-form] shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 1.2.0. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on the 'align' attribute. Specifically, the attribute value flows from the shortcode through pc_login_form() to pc_static::form_align(), where it is directly concatenated into an HTML class attribute without esc_attr() or any escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Mar 21, 2026Content Syndication Toolkit: Server-Side Request ForgeryCVE-2026-3478 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2
The Content Syndication Toolkit plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 1.3 via the redux_p AJAX action in the bundled ReduxFramework library. The plugin registers a proxy endpoint (wp_ajax_nopriv_redux_p) that is accessible to unauthenticated users. The proxy() method in the Redux_P class takes a URL directly from $_GET['url'] without any validation (the regex is set to /.*/ which matches all URLs) and passes it to wp_remote_request(), which does not have built-in SSRF protection like wp_safe_remote_request(). There is no authentication check, no nonce verification, and no URL restriction. The response from the requested URL is then returned to the attacker, making this a full-read SSRF. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to make web requests to arbitrary locations originating from the web application, which can be used to query and modify information from internal services, scan internal network ports, or interact with cloud metadata endpoints.

Mar 5, 2026Membership Plugin – Restrict Content: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-1321 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1
The Membership Plugin – Restrict Content plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 3.2.20. This is due to the `rcp_setup_registration_init()` function accepting any membership level ID via the `rcp_level` POST parameter without validating that the level is active or that payment is required. Combined with the `add_user_role()` method which assigns the WordPress role configured on the membership level without status checks, this makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to register with any membership level, including inactive levels that grant privileged WordPress roles such as Administrator, or paid levels that charge a sign-up fee. The vulnerability was partially patched in version 3.2.18.
