Domain recovery and forensic review, Myrtle Beach, SC

Your old web address is showing someone else's site. We find out exactly how.

A business sells, a renewal email goes to an inbox nobody checks, and years of your name end up pointing at a stranger's website, still linked from every directory and flyer that ever listed you. We reconstruct what happened to the domain, day by day, preserve every piece of evidence, and hand you and your attorney a clear path to getting it back.

What the review covers

Every record that matters, rebuilt into one timeline.

Registration history

The authoritative records from the domain registry and the registrar: when it was created, when it changed, where it is registered today, and whether it was ever deleted and re-registered. That last one changes everything about how it was lost.

Ownership over the years

Historical ownership records going back as far as they exist, showing whose name the domain was in and when the details went private or changed hands.

Every server it ever pointed to

DNS and address history from independent archives, so we can see the day your settings disappeared, when it was parked, and when someone else switched a site on.

Archived copies of your website

Years of saved versions of your site, showing how long the name was yours, when your content was last seen, and what replaced it.

What's on it now, and who benefits

The current site captured as evidence, where it sends your customers, and the network behind it. Plus every directory and listing still sending people there.

Evidence that holds up

Every source preserved and sealed with a SHA-256 fingerprint, and every finding graded by how strongly the record supports it, so your attorney knows what is proven and what still needs a document behind it.

Recovery options for your attorney

Registrar recovery, a negotiated buy-back through escrow, a formal domain dispute (UDRP) and the federal anti-cybersquatting law, each laid out with the facts for and against, so counsel starts with a case file instead of a blank page.

Domain protection, so it never happens again

Expiry and auto-renew watched, alerts the moment a domain's settings change, registrar locks checked, and your domains confirmed to be in your own account, not a former owner's or an old web designer's. From $29 a month per domain, and included in our care plans.

Who it's for

Business owners whose name isn't pointing home anymore.

Most lost domains aren't stolen in the movie sense. They expire in an account nobody is watching, often after a business changes hands, and get picked up within weeks by buyers who want the years of links and listings that come with an established address. The new owner rarely cares about you; they care about the traffic you built.

That's why the details matter. Whether the domain expired, was transferred, or was moved without permission decides which way of getting it back is realistic, and what it's worth paying. Our domain forensic review answers that from the record, so you and your attorney decide with facts instead of guesses.

We work from public records only. We don't contact the current owner, a registrar or anyone else without your written OK, and we are not attorneys: we hand your counsel the technical case and work alongside them.

Questions

Straight answers.

How much does a domain forensic review cost?

A standard review of one domain starts at $1,500, fixed and quoted in writing. Cases with several domains, a business sale in the middle, or paid historical data run higher, and the quote says so up front.

Can you get my domain back?

Nobody honest can promise that. What we can do is show exactly how it was lost and which routes are realistic, from registrar recovery to a negotiated buy-back or a formal dispute, so you don't spend money on the wrong one.

Do I need an attorney?

For a formal dispute, usually yes, and the review is built to hand to one. Many owners start with the review to find out whether a lawyer is even needed.

Will you contact whoever has my domain?

Not without your written permission. If you want to try buying it back, we can approach them anonymously and run the purchase through escrow, so they never learn how much the name matters to you.

What does domain protection cost?

From $29 a month per domain, and it's included in our care plans. It watches expiry and renewals, alerts on any change to the domain's settings, and makes sure the domain sits in your own account.
