CVE-2026-9067

Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP: Does not check user capabilities on its frontend AJAX file-upload handlers and does not validate the actual content of uploaded files against the endpoint's intended media type

The Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP WordPress plugin before 1.60 does not check user capabilities on its frontend AJAX file-upload handlers and does not validate the actual content of uploaded files against the endpoint's intended media type, allowing unauthenticated users to upload any file type accepted by WordPress's media library through endpoints that should only accept images or videos.

Description from the National Vulnerability Database, published by WPScan

What to do: Update Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP to 1.60 or newer.

What it means for a small business

Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP is a WordPress plugin. If your website uses it, the flaw is on your site whether or not anyone has noticed yet: attackers scan the whole internet for the plugins with published flaws, usually within days of a record like this one going public.

Most small-business sites run 15 to 40 plugins, and few owners know the list. You can check from WordPress itself (Plugins, then Installed Plugins), or let our free plugin check look it up by name.
