  • Oct 28, 2026Unverified ownership of the default query result location in the Athena module in AWS SDK for pandas (awswrangler) before 3.16.1 might allow remote actors to reCVE-2026-118029 · Other software · aws · reported by ff89ba41-3aa1-4d27-914a-91399e9639e5Medium 5.9

Unverified ownership of the default query result location in the Athena module in AWS SDK for pandas (awswrangler) before 3.16.1 might allow remote actors to read Athena query results and tamper with result sets returned to the caller via a pre-created S3 bucket.  To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 3.16.1 or later. Users should also verify that the default Athena result bucket in each account and region is owned by their own account, and set an explicit result location or enforce a workgroup result configuration.

  • Aug 16, 2026Query Wrangler: Remote Code ExecutionCVE-2026-14498 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The Query Wrangler plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 1.5.57 via the 'options' parameter parameter. This is due to missing capability check and nonce verification on the wp_ajax_qw_form_ajax handler, combined with unsanitized attacker-controlled options fully replacing saved query options and being passed directly to call_user_func_array() guarded only by function_exists(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to execute code on the server. Exploitation requires only that at least one query row exists in the database, as the query_id is a small enumerable integer with no further access control.

  • Jan 20, 2026SummaryA command injection vulnerability (CWE-78) has been found to exist in the `wrangler pages deploy` command.CVE-2026-0933 · Other software · Cloudflare · reported by cna@cloudflare.comHigh 7.7

SummaryA command injection vulnerability (CWE-78) has been found to exist in the `wrangler pages deploy` command. The issue occurs because the `--commit-hash` parameter is passed directly to a shell command without proper validation or sanitization, allowing an attacker with control of `--commit-hash` to execute arbitrary commands on the system running Wrangler. Root causeThe commitHash variable, derived from user input via the --commit-hash CLI argument, is interpolated directly into a shell command using template literals (e.g.,  execSync(`git show -s --format=%B ${commitHash}`)). Shell metacharacters are interpreted by the shell, enabling command execution. ImpactThis vulnerability is generally hard to exploit, as it requires --commit-hash to be attacker controlled. The vulnerability primarily affects CI/CD environments where `wrangler pages deploy` is used in automated pipelines and the --commit-hash parameter is populated from external, potentially untrusted sources. An attacker could exploit this to: * Run any shell command. * Exfiltrate environment variables. * Compromise the CI runner to install backdoors or modify build artifacts. Credits Disclosed r

  • Aug 20, 2025FileWrangler <= 5.30 suffers from a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability when parsing directory listings from an FTP server.CVE-2010-20045 · Other software · CursorArts · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.5

FileWrangler <= 5.30 suffers from a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability when parsing directory listings from an FTP server. A malicious server can send an overlong folder name in response to a LIST command, triggering memory corruption during client-side rendering. Exploitation requires passive user interaction—simply connecting to the server—without further input. Successful exploitation may lead to arbitrary code execution.

  • Dec 29, 2023The V8 inspector intentionally allows arbitrary code execution within the Workers sandbox for debugging.CVE-2023-7080 · Other software · Cloudflare · reported by cna@cloudflare.comHigh 8.5

The V8 inspector intentionally allows arbitrary code execution within the Workers sandbox for debugging. wrangler dev would previously start an inspector server listening on all network interfaces. This would allow an attacker on the local network to connect to the inspector and run arbitrary code. Additionally, the inspector server did not validate Origin/Host headers, granting an attacker that can trick any user on the local network into opening a malicious website the ability to run code. If wrangler dev --remote was being used, an attacker could access production resources if they were bound to the worker. This issue was fixed in wrangler@3.19.0 and wrangler@2.20.2. Whilst wrangler dev's inspector server listens on local interfaces by default as of wrangler@3.16.0, an SSRF vulnerability in miniflare https://github.com/cloudflare/workers-sdk/security/advisories/GHSA-fwvg-2739-22v7  (CVE-2023-7078) allowed access from the local network until wrangler@3.18.0. wrangler@3.19.0 and wrangler@2.20.2 introduced validation for the Origin/Host headers.
