  • Oct 28, 2026decode-uri-component provides a more robust alternative to decodeURIComponent.CVE-2026-118664 · Other software · SamVerschueren · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

decode-uri-component provides a more robust alternative to decodeURIComponent. Prior to 0.5.1, decodeUriComponent in index.js falls back to customDecodeURIComponent after native decoding throws, and the fallback collects every distinct percent-encoded run before performing a full-string regular-expression replacement for each entry. Malformed input containing many distinct runs can therefore make both the number of replacements and the scanned input length grow together, causing quadratic CPU consumption and blocking the Node.js event loop; request-body inputs can reach the demonstrated size, while ordinary URL header limits reduce the practical delay. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.1.

  • Oct 28, 2026identrail is a machine identity security platform for AWS, GitHub/OIDC, and Kubernetes.CVE-2026-59185 · Other software · identrail · reported by GitHubHigh 8.5

identrail is a machine identity security platform for AWS, GitHub/OIDC, and Kubernetes. Prior to 1.0.2, the default-on `POST /v1/workspaces/:workspace_id/projects/:project_id/github/connect/complete` endpoint in `internal/api/router.go` accepts `installation_id` from the request body or `X-GitHub-Installation-ID` header without verifying the installation belongs to the caller's workspace. `CompleteGitHubConnection` in `internal/api/github_connect.go` rigorously binds `state` to the caller's tenant, workspace, and project, but checks only that the installation ID is positive before persisting it as the caller's connection. `ListInstallationRepositories` in `internal/connectors/github/repositories.go` invokes token creation through `internal/connectors/github/app.go` and `POST /app/installations/{installationId}/access_tokens`, using the application's JWT. An authenticated tenant who starts a legitimate connection can supply another customer's non-secret installation ID to read the victim organization's private repository inventory, content, and metadata or drive posture scans, provided identrail's GitHub App is installed there. Dumping the rq state at the time of idling with runnable tasks showed the following: rq->next_class = &fair_sched_class rq->nr_running = 1 rq->cfs.h_nr_queued = 0 rq->rt.rt_nr_running = 1 Although the waiting task was an RT task, "rq->next_class" did not point to rt_sched_class and was stuck at the lower priority fair_sched_class. • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2/dlm: Protect the recovery list during debugfs reads Recovery participant records musCVE-2026-99204 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2/dlm: Protect the recovery list during debugfs reads Recovery participant records must remain alive while debug_state_print() walks reco.node_data and formats their fields. The formatter holds dlm->spinlock, but the recovery participant list is protected by dlm_reco_state_lock. In particular, dlm_destroy_recovery_area() detaches the list under dlm_reco_state_lock and frees the detached records after releasing it. A concurrent debugfs open can therefore read freed memory. Protect the participant traversal and field reads in debug_state_print() with dlm_reco_state_lock, matching the existing list writers. This also serializes the traversal against list_add_tail() during recovery-area initialization. Make the existing lock available to the debug code through dlmcommon.h; the lock remains internal to the OCFS2 DLM module. Release dlm->spinlock after formatting the other domain state and before acquiring dlm_reco_state_lock, so the debug reader does not nest the two locks. Leave recovery list insertion, detachment and freeing unchanged. KASAN report as below: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in debug_state

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: libsas: Fix SMP IO deadlock during HA resume smp_execute_task_sg() calls pm_runtime_CVE-2026-99202 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: libsas: Fix SMP IO deadlock during HA resume smp_execute_task_sg() calls pm_runtime_get_sync() on the host before issuing an SMP command. When that command is itself issued from the HA resume path, the get_sync() deadlocks: it waits for the ongoing resume (the device is RPM_RESUMING), while the resume is blocked in sas_drain_work() waiting for that same SMP IO to complete. The deadlock needs an expander-attached SATA disk. During sas_resume_ha() -> sas_drain_work(), DISCE_RESUME -> sas_resume_sata() -> ata_sas_port_resume() requests ATA_EH_RESET, and the hard reset for such a disk is done via SMP PHY CONTROL (sas_ata_hard_reset() -> sas_phy_reset() -> sas_smp_phy_control() -> smp_execute_task_sg()). Direct-attached SATA resets through lldd_control_phy() and SSP devices use TMFs, so neither hits this. Replace the get_sync()/put_sync() pair with pm_runtime_get_noresume()/pm_runtime_put(). smp_execute_task_sg() only needs to hold off autosuspend while the SMP is in flight, and it must not try to resume the host: a sync resume issued from the HA resume path itself is what deadlocks, and by the time sas_resume

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fsnotify: prevent mark additions during connector teardown fsnotify_destroy_marks() keeps CVE-2026-99175 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fsnotify: prevent mark additions during connector teardown fsnotify_destroy_marks() keeps a reference to its current mark while it drops conn->lock to destroy the mark. This stabilizes the forward-walk cursor, but does not prevent a new mark from being inserted before it. For example, an inotify watch re-added after IN_IGNORED sorts before the old, detached mark for the same group. The walk can miss the replacement and then detach the entire connector from the object. The replacement is still on its group's marks_list and, for inotify, in the watch IDR. The group mutex no longer protects the connector's object from disappearing. An unprivileged fdinfo read racing the final detach can consequently call igrab(NULL): BUG: KASAN: null-ptr-deref in igrab+0x24/0x100 Write of size 4 at addr 0000000000000148 Call Trace: igrab+0x24/0x100 inotify_show_fdinfo+0x1dc/0x5e0 seq_show+0x397/0x690 Set a DESTROYING flag under conn->lock before starting the walk, and reject new marks on that connector with -ENOENT. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/cancel: don't spin on local work the task can't run io_uring_cancel_generic() refuses to sleep while any ring on the exiting task's tctx has local work pending. It assumes the task is that ring's submitter and that the next io_uring_try_cancel_requests() pass will run the work. This does not hold for a ring that was still IORING_SETUP_R_DISABLED when the task got its tctx node from io_uring_create() or io_ringfd_register(). The submitter is set later by IORING_REGISTER_ENABLE_RINGS, possibly from another task, and only the submitter may run local work on an IORING_SETUP_DEFER_TASKRUN ring. To the exiting task the work stays pending forever, the loop never reaches schedule(), and the task trips the WARN_ON_ONCE() once and then spins in do_exit(). An unprivileged user can set this up at will by creating a disabled ring, having a child enable it and stop, posting to the ring with IORING_OP_MSG_RING and exiting with a request in flight that only the child can complete. The exiting thread burns a CPU until the child runs or dies, and with panic_on_warn set the WARN panics the kernel. Fix by skipping the sle

The mechanism binding files generated during a shredding process to the authentication method is not working correctly and the same session token is used for all token-based API users. This is similar to an issue fixed in 2026.7.1 but was missed while creating the fix. When looking for calendars in a directory on a server, during account setup or when adding a new network calendar, Thunderbird accepted calendar locations pointing to other servers, local files or network shares. A malicious server, or a network attacker when the lookup used plain HTTP, could make Thunderbird subscribe to such a location. On Windows this could leak the user's NTLM credentials to an attacker-controlled host on every calendar refresh, and changes to the calendar could be written to the attacker's share or overwrite a local file. • Oct 27, 2026MISP Guard, a proxy that enforces security policies on MISP feed data, contained an incomplete validation check for required taxonomy tags.CVE-2026-118173 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 6.1

MISP Guard, a proxy that enforces security policies on MISP feed data, contained an incomplete validation check for required taxonomy tags. When a feed event or its attributes carried tags belonging to a required taxonomy (for example, TLP), the guard only verified that at least one tag of that taxonomy matched the configured allowed list. It did not verify that every tag of the required taxonomy present on the event or attribute was in the allowed list. As a result, an event or attribute could simultaneously carry an allowed tag (e.g., tlp:clear) and a non-allowed tag (e.g., tlp:red or tlp:amber) and still pass the guard's policy check. This allowed data marked with a higher classification or sensitivity level to be distributed through feeds configured to only distribute lower-classification data, effectively bypassing the intended data-handling restrictions. The vulnerability affected both event-level and attribute-level tag validation, including attributes nested within objects and shadow attributes. An attacker with the ability to author or modify MISP events in a feed source could include non-allowed taxonomy tags alongside allowed ones to exfiltrate more sensitive data to fee

Psono Server CE && EE versions 0.1.0 through 7.2.3 accepted a user-controlled host when configuring a personal Duo device and passed it to the Duo client without an allowlist or explicit timeout. An authenticated remote attacker could cause the server to connect to selected hosts over HTTPS on port 443 and distinguish failure modes, providing an internal DNS and service-reachability oracle. Connections still required TLS certificate validation, and the flaw did not provide arbitrary protocol or port access. Unresponsive targets could also occupy a server worker until the operating-system timeout.
