Oct 13, 2026SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution.CVE-2026-77375 · Other software · drakkan · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution. Prior to 2.7.5, an authenticated SSH user can send a malformed protocol message while opening a channel, causing an unhandled error that terminates the server process and affects all connected users until restart. No confidentiality or integrity impact has been identified. This issue is fixed in 2.7.5.

Oct 13, 2026SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution.CVE-2026-103028 · Other software · drakkan · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3
SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution. From 2.5.0 until 2.7.6, an authenticated user with copy permission can copy a source file denied by denied_patterns or outside allowed_patterns to an allowed destination name because file-pattern filters are evaluated only on the destination. The user can then read the denied file contents. Recursive directory copies can reproduce restricted contents under an allowed path, and the hide policy is bypassed because files that appear missing to stat and directory listings can still be copied. Home-directory boundaries, virtual-folder layout, per-directory permissions, access to other accounts, and administrative authorization remain enforced. This issue is fixed in 2.7.6.

Aug 20, 2026SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution.CVE-2026-49245 · Other software · drakkan · reported by GitHubLow 3.7
SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution. From 2.2.0 until 2.7.3, the inline query parameter on browsable-share file downloads and authenticated user-file downloads suppresses Content-Disposition: attachment, allowing an attacker-controlled HTML file stored in a share or home directory to be served as text/html in the SFTPGo web origin. An attacker who can place the file can send a crafted link to a victim, and opening that link executes the stored content in the victim's browser context. Exploitation requires social engineering and suitable share or shared-folder access, while HttpOnly session cookies limit direct cookie theft. This issue is fixed in version 2.7.3.

Aug 20, 2026SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution.CVE-2026-49244 · Other software · drakkan · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9
SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution. From 2.2.0 until 2.7.3, the public web-client partial ZIP download endpoint for a browsable share validates client-supplied files entries with a raw byte-prefix comparison rather than a directory-boundary-aware check. An unauthenticated requester who can reach a public share can select a canonical path outside the shared directory when the target path begins with the shared directory's name, such as a sibling path that shares the same prefix. The endpoint then includes the out-of-scope file in the generated download, disclosing its contents. This issue is fixed in version 2.7.3.

Jul 30, 2026SFTPGo prior to 2.7.4 contains a permission bypass vulnerability that allows authenticated users to circumvent per-directory access controls by creating symboliCVE-2026-10031 · Other software · drakkan · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.3
SFTPGo prior to 2.7.4 contains a permission bypass vulnerability that allows authenticated users to circumvent per-directory access controls by creating symbolic links in a permitted directory that point to files in directories where download, upload, or overwrite permissions are denied. Attackers can exploit the create_symlinks permission combined with read and write access in one directory to read or modify files in restricted directories, as operations are authorized against the link's directory permissions rather than the dereferenced target's directory permissions.

Mar 13, 2026SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution.CVE-2026-30915 · Other software · drakkan · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution. SFTPGo versions before v2.7.1 contain an input validation issue in the handling of dynamic group paths, for example, home directories or key prefixes. When a group is configured with a dynamic home directory or key prefix using placeholders like %username%, the value replacing the placeholder is not strictly sanitized against relative path components. Consequently, if a user is created with a specially crafted username the resulting path may resolve to a parent directory instead of the intended sub-directory. This issue is fixed in version v2.7.1

Mar 13, 2026SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution.CVE-2026-30914 · Other software · drakkan · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution. In SFTPGo versions prior to 2.7.1, a path normalization discrepancy between the protocol handlers and the internal Virtual Filesystem routing can lead to an authorization bypass. An authenticated attacker can craft specific file paths to bypass folder-level permissions or escape the boundaries of a configured Virtual Folder. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.7.1.

Feb 7, 2025SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution.CVE-2025-24366 · Other software · drakkan · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
SFTPGo is an open source, event-driven file transfer solution. SFTPGo supports execution of a defined set of commands via SSH. Besides a set of default commands some optional commands can be activated, one of them being `rsync`. It is disabled in the default configuration and it is limited to the local filesystem, it does not work with cloud/remote storage backends. Due to missing sanitization of the client provided `rsync` command, an authenticated remote user can use some options of the rsync command to read or write files with the permissions of the SFTPGo server process. This issue was fixed in version v2.6.5 by checking the client provided arguments. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

Nov 29, 2024sftpgo is a full-featured and highly configurable event-driven file transfer solution.CVE-2024-52801 · Other software · drakkan · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
sftpgo is a full-featured and highly configurable event-driven file transfer solution. Server protocols: SFTP, HTTP/S, FTP/S, WebDAV. The OpenID Connect implementation allows authenticated users to brute force session cookies and thereby gain access to other users' data, since the cookies are generated predictably using the xid library and are therefore unique but not cryptographically secure. This issue was fixed in version v2.6.4, where cookies are opaque and cryptographically secure strings. All users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

Nov 21, 2024SFTPGo is a full-featured and highly configurable SFTP, HTTP/S, FTP/S and WebDAV server - S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob.CVE-2024-52309 · Other software · drakkan · reported by GitHubMedium 5.1
SFTPGo is a full-featured and highly configurable SFTP, HTTP/S, FTP/S and WebDAV server - S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob. One powerful feature of SFTPGo is the ability to have the EventManager execute scripts or run applications in response to certain events. This feature is very common in all software similar to SFTPGo and is generally unrestricted. However, any SFTPGo administrator with permission to run a script has access to the underlying OS/container with the same permissions as the user running SFTPGo. This is unexpected for some SFTPGo administrators who think that there is a clear distinction between accessing the system shell and accessing the SFTPGo WebAdmin UI. To avoid this confusion, running system commands is disabled by default in 2.6.3, and an allow list has been added so that system administrators configuring SFTPGo must explicitly define which commands are allowed to be configured from the WebAdmin UI.

Jun 20, 2024SFTPGo is a full-featured and highly configurable SFTP, HTTP/S, FTP/S and WebDAV server - S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob.CVE-2024-37897 · Other software · drakkan · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4
SFTPGo is a full-featured and highly configurable SFTP, HTTP/S, FTP/S and WebDAV server - S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob. SFTPGo WebAdmin and WebClient support password reset. This feature is disabled in the default configuration. In SFTPGo versions prior to v2.6.1, if the feature is enabled, even users with access restrictions (e.g. expired) can reset their password and log in. Users are advised to upgrade to version 2.6.1. Users unable to upgrade may keep the password reset feature disabled or set a blank email address for users and admins with access restrictions so they cannot receive the email with the reset code and exploit the vulnerability.

Sep 2, 2022SFTPGo is configurable SFTP server with optional HTTP/S, FTP/S and WebDAV support.CVE-2022-36071 · Other software · drakkan · reported by GitHubHigh 8.3
SFTPGo is configurable SFTP server with optional HTTP/S, FTP/S and WebDAV support. SFTPGo WebAdmin and WebClient support login using TOTP (Time-based One Time Passwords) as a secondary authentication factor. Because TOTPs are often configured on mobile devices that can be lost, stolen or damaged, SFTPGo also supports recovery codes. These are a set of one time use codes that can be used instead of the TOTP. In SFTPGo versions from version 2.2.0 to 2.3.3 recovery codes can be generated before enabling two-factor authentication. An attacker who knows the user's password could potentially generate some recovery codes and then bypass two-factor authentication after it is enabled on the account at a later time. This issue has been fixed in version 2.3.4. Recovery codes can now only be generated after enabling two-factor authentication and are deleted after disabling it.
