  • Oct 19, 2026The SCIM endpoint does not sufficiently validate authorization for federated users when performing operations against the local user store.CVE-2025-10149 · Other software · WSO2 · reported by ed10eef1-636d-4fbe-9993-6890dfa878f8High 8.2

    The SCIM endpoint does not sufficiently validate authorization for federated users when performing operations against the local user store. This occurs when a local and a federated user share the same username, allowing a federated user to perform actions intended for a local user, including arbitrary operations. A malicious actor authenticated as a federated user may perform arbitrary operations on local user accounts via the SCIM 2.0 or SCIM 1.1 endpoints when local and federated users share the same username. This could lead to user account takeover. Deployments that do not support user self-registration are considered medium severity.

    Perforce Helix Authentication Service (HAS) deployments that retain the shipped default SCIM bearer token are vulnerable to unauthorized access when the SCIM endpoint is reachable by an attacker. In affected versions of HAS, the installation templates contain a default credential which the installer copies into the active configuration; the installer and configuration script do not automatically replace that value with a random token. An attacker who knows the default token can authenticate to the SCIM API and perform user and group operations allowed by the configured provisioning backend. This issue can be chained with CVE-2026-61834 in affected releases of the scim-patch dependency. This vulnerability exists in version 2022.1 - 2025.2 of HAS however the underlying defect was removed in version 2026.1 which was released July 17th 2026. The vulnerability was identified in older versions of HAS after version 2026.1 was released.

  • Sep 23, 2026scim-patch is a library for applying SCIM patch operations.CVE-2026-61834 · Other software · thomaspoignant · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3

    scim-patch is a library for applying SCIM patch operations. Prior to 0.9.2, navigate() reads inherited properties and assign() uses prototype-chain membership checks while resolving attacker-controlled SCIM PATCH paths. A path or one of the dotted value keys beginning with an inherited property such as toString can therefore traverse into a shared built-in function object and add attacker-controlled properties, causing process-global mutation that may affect application logic reading inherited-method properties. This issue is fixed in version 0.9.2.

    A privilege escalation vulnerability in Authentik Security authentik through 2026.5.6 allows an attacker with a source-scoped SCIM provisioning token to take over any user account including superusers by provisioning a SCIM user that matches an existing local user by username. The SCIM user ingest function adopts pre-existing local accounts by username without validating scope boundaries. An attacker can rewrite or delete any account, including the superuser, using only a limited provisioning credential.

    A privilege escalation vulnerability in Authentik Security authentik through 2026.5.6 allows an attacker with a source-scoped SCIM provisioning token to gain superuser privileges by provisioning a SCIM group that matches an existing administrator group by name. The SCIM group ingest function adopts any existing group by name and replaces its membership without validating the source scope against the target group. An attacker can grant their provisioning token full IdP superuser access and lock out all existing administrators.

  • Aug 7, 2026`scim-patch`, a library to perform SCIM patch, prior to version 0.9.1 performs prototype pollution when applying a SCIM PATCH operation whose `value` object conCVE-2026-48170 · Other software · thomaspoignant · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1

    `scim-patch`, a library to perform SCIM patch, prior to version 0.9.1 performs prototype pollution when applying a SCIM PATCH operation whose `value` object contains a key like `"__proto__.someProp"`. After one such patch, `Object.prototype.someProp` is set process-wide, affecting every plain object in the Node process. Any service that calls `scimPatch()` on attacker-controlled JSON (i.e. any SCIM endpoint accepting `PATCH` from an external IdP) is exploitable on a stock Node runtime. Version 0.9.1 contains a patch. A workaround is available. Calling `Object.freeze(Object.prototype)` (and the same on `Array.prototype`, `Function.prototype`) at process startup neutralizes this class of bug — assignment to a frozen prototype becomes a silent no-op in sloppy mode or a `TypeError` in strict mode. Node's `--frozen-intrinsics` flag does this for built-ins automatically.

  • Aug 1, 2026@better-auth/scim (a better-auth plugin) versions >= 1.4.0-beta.27 through <= 1.6.21 and >= 1.7.0-beta.0 through <= 1.7.0-beta.9 contain an authorization bypassCVE-2026-67330 · Other software · better-auth · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.4

    @better-auth/scim (a better-auth plugin) versions >= 1.4.0-beta.27 through <= 1.6.21 and >= 1.7.0-beta.0 through <= 1.7.0-beta.9 contain an authorization bypass. SCIM token issuance did not reject provider IDs already used by existing SSO, SAML, OIDC, generic OAuth, or social account providers, and the same logical provider ID was used for both SCIM provider configuration and account ownership. An authenticated user could mint a SCIM token whose provider ID collided with an existing provider namespace, causing SCIM user routes to resolve account rows the token never provisioned. This allowed listing, reading, updating (including rewriting global profile/email fields without uniqueness checks), and deleting global user accounts and sessions, resulting in account takeover and unauthorized deprovisioning. Fixed in 1.6.22 and 1.7.0-beta.10 (1.7.0-rc.0).

  • Nov 21, 2025SCIM provisioning was introduced in Grafana Enterprise and Grafana Cloud in April to improve how organizations manage users and teams in Grafana by introducing CVE-2025-41115 · Other software · Grafana · reported by security@grafana.comCritical 10

    SCIM provisioning was introduced in Grafana Enterprise and Grafana Cloud in April to improve how organizations manage users and teams in Grafana by introducing automated user lifecycle management. In Grafana versions 12.x where SCIM provisioning is enabled and configured, a vulnerability in user identity handling allows a malicious or compromised SCIM client to provision a user with a numeric externalId, which in turn could allow to override internal user IDs and lead to impersonation or privilege escalation. This vulnerability applies only if all of the following conditions are met: - `enableSCIM` feature flag set to true - `user_sync_enabled` config option in the `[auth.scim]` block set to true
