  • Oct 14, 2026Tinyexr through 3.2.0 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in ParseEXRMultipartHeaderFromMemory() that allows attackers to read beyond buffers due tCVE-2026-110597 · Other software · syoyo · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9

Tinyexr through 3.2.0 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in ParseEXRMultipartHeaderFromMemory() that allows attackers to read beyond buffers due to a stale remaining-size value. Attackers can supply a crafted multi-part EXR file whose later part headers bypass ReadAttribute() bounds checks, crashing applications or leaking adjacent heap memory into attribute values.

RomM (ROM Manager) allows users to scan, enrich, browse and play their game collections with a clean and responsive interface. RomM contains multiple unrestricted file upload vulnerabilities that allow authenticated users to upload malicious SVG or HTML files. When these files are accessed the browser executes embedded JavaScript, leading to stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) which when combined with a CSRF misconfiguration they lead to achieve full administrative account takeover, creating a rogue admin account, escalating the attacker account role to admin, and much more. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.4.1 and 4.4.1-beta.2.

RomM (ROM Manager) allows users to scan, enrich, browse and play their game collections with a clean and responsive interface. In versions 4.0.0-beta.3 and below, an authenticated arbitrary file write vulnerability exists in the /api/saves endpoint. This can lead to Remote Code Execution on the system. The vulnerability permits arbitrary file write operations, allowing attackers to create or modify files at any filesystem location with user-supplied content. A user with viewer role or Scope.ASSETS_WRITE permission or above is required to pass authentication checks. The vulnerability is fixed in version 4.0.0-beta.4.

  • Jul 16, 2025RomM is a self-hosted rom manager and player.CVE-2025-53908 · Other software · rommapp · reported by GitHubHigh 8.3

RomM is a self-hosted rom manager and player. Versions prior to 3.10.3 and 4.0.0-beta.3 have an authenticated path traversal vulnerability in the `/api/raw` endpoint. Anyone running the latest version of RomM and has multiple users, even unprivileged users, such as the kiosk user in the official implementation, may be affected. This allows the leakage of passwords and users that may be stored on the system. Versions 3.10.3 and 4.0.0-beta.3 contain a patch.

A vulnerability in Cisco IOS XE Software for Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series Switches could allow an authenticated, local attacker with level-15 privileges or an unauthenticated attacker with physical access to the device to execute persistent code at boot time and break the chain of trust. This vulnerability is due to errors that occur when retrieving the public release key that is used for image signature verification. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by modifying specific variables in the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) flash memory of an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute persistent code on the underlying operating system. Note: In Cisco IOS XE Software releases 16.11.1 and later, the complexity of an attack using this vulnerability is high. However, an attacker with level-15 privileges could easily downgrade the Cisco IOS XE Software on a device to a release that would lower the attack complexity.

  • Mar 24, 2021A vulnerability in the ROM Monitor (ROMMON) of Cisco IOS XE Software for Cisco Catalyst IE3200, IE3300, and IE3400 Rugged Series Switches, Cisco Catalyst IE3400CVE-2021-1452 · Network & remote access · Cisco · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 6.8

A vulnerability in the ROM Monitor (ROMMON) of Cisco IOS XE Software for Cisco Catalyst IE3200, IE3300, and IE3400 Rugged Series Switches, Cisco Catalyst IE3400 Heavy Duty Series Switches, and Cisco Embedded Services 3300 Series Switches could allow an unauthenticated, physical attacker to execute unsigned code at system boot time. This vulnerability is due to incorrect validations of specific function arguments passed to a boot script when specific ROMMON variables are set. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by setting malicious values for a specific ROMMON variable. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute unsigned code and bypass the image verification check during the secure boot process of an affected device. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker would need to have unauthenticated, physical access to the device or obtain privileged access to the root shell on the device.
