  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/rds: don't let the rdma_cm destroy an id RDS still owns on route failure rds_rdma_cm_eCVE-2026-99212 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/rds: don't let the rdma_cm destroy an id RDS still owns on route failure rds_rdma_cm_event_handler_cmn() hands the return value of rdma_resolve_route() straight back to the rdma_cm on RDMA_CM_EVENT_ADDR_RESOLVED. A synchronous failure there - -ENOMEM from the route work allocation, an SA query that cannot be set up, a RoCE route with no usable device - makes addr_handler() destroy the id the event was delivered on. That id is ic->i_cm_id, and nothing clears the pointer: the connection sits in RDS_CONN_CONNECTING with a freed id until its shutdown calls rdma_disconnect() and rdma_destroy_id() on it. The ROUTE_RESOLVED case already avoids this: rds_ib_cm_initiate_connect() forces a zero return while ic->i_cm_id == cm_id, as the comment there explains. Do the same here - drop the connection and return 0 - so the id stays RDS's to destroy from the shutdown, and the reconnect gets a fresh one.

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: rds: fix uninitialized trans dereference in CM event handler rds_rdma_cm_event_handleCVE-2026-99166 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: rds: fix uninitialized trans dereference in CM event handler rds_rdma_cm_event_handler_cmn() assigns trans only when the RDMA device is an InfiniBand CA (RDMA_NODE_IB_CA). On any other device type, e.g. an iWARP RNIC such as siw, trans stays uninitialized, but the event switch dereferences it: unconditionally in the RDMA_CM_EVENT_CONNECT_REQUEST case via trans->cm_handle_connect(), and (with a connection context) in the ROUTE_RESOLVED and ESTABLISHED cases. An RDS listener on an iWARP device therefore crashes the kernel as soon as a connect request arrives: with CONFIG_INIT_STACK_ALL_ZERO the wild load becomes a NULL dereference at offset 0xa0 (&trans->cm_handle_connect) in the iw_cm_wq workqueue. GCC masks the bug in default builds by folding the uninitialized load into &rds_ib_transport; Clang-built kernels take the real uninitialized path and oops. The active side can land on a non-IB device too: the id that rds_ib_conn_path_connect() creates is not restricted to a node type, so rdma_resolve_addr() binds it to whichever device serves the local address, and an iWARP RNIC on the same netdev qualifies.

  • Oct 21, 2026A data race in the RDMA transport of Apache bRPC (versions < 1.18.0) allows a remote client to crash the server process (denial of service) when RDMA is enabledCVE-2026-82942 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.org

A data race in the RDMA transport of Apache bRPC (versions < 1.18.0) allows a remote client to crash the server process (denial of service) when RDMA is enabled at build time and runtime. Root Cause: When a bRPC server negotiates RDMA with a client, the handshake completes on the TCP fd, but the server kept parsing that fd afterwards as if it were still an RPC channel. The TCP-fd input stream and the RDMA QP input stream (driven by CQ events) shared the same Socket::_read_buf, preferred_index and parsing_context without synchronization. In addition, CQ event processing could start while the handshake parsing was still in progress, and the handshake ACK phase could consume bytes belonging to the next protocol. A remote, unauthenticated client that has completed the RDMA handshake can send data on the TCP fd at the same time RDMA messages are being processed, corrupting the shared input buffer and parser state and crashing the server process (CWE-362, availability impact). Affected Scenarios: Use a bRPC server with RDMA support enabled (built with BRPC_WITH_RDMA and serving rdma:// / SOCKET_MODE_RDMA sockets) and accept connections from untrusted clients. Deployments without RDMA a

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/efa: Keep admin queues alive while IRQ is registered The management IRQ handler accesses both the admin completion queue and the async event queue. The driver registered the IRQ before constructing these queues and destroyed them before freeing the IRQ, so the handler's lifetime was not contained by the resources it accesses. Initialize the queues with interrupts masked, request the IRQ, and then switch to interrupt mode. On removal, reset the device and free the IRQ before destroying the queues. Also reset the device before destroying the queues if IRQ registration fails, because the device already has their DMA addresses.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: validate access flags before swapping the MR's PD rxe_rereg_user_mr() reassigns mr->ibmr.pd first and only then validates the IB_MR_REREG_ACCESS argument: if (flags & IB_MR_REREG_PD) { rxe_put(old_pd); rxe_get(pd); mr->ibmr.pd = ibpd; } if (flags & IB_MR_REREG_ACCESS) { if (access & ~RXE_ACCESS_SUPPORTED_MR) return ERR_PTR(-EOPNOTSUPP); mr->access = access; } Both flags pass the entry check because RXE_MR_REREG_SUPPORTED is IB_MR_REREG_PD | IB_MR_REREG_ACCESS, so a caller can reach the access check with mr->ibmr.pd already reassigned. mr->ibmr.pd is owned by the core, which adjusts pd->usecnt only on the success path: ib_uverbs_rereg_mr() jumps to put_new_uobj on a driver error without undoing the reassignment, so mr->pd == new_pd while the usecnts still charge the MR to orig_pd. ib_dereg_mr_user() then decrements new_pd, whose count can reach zero while a memory window still references it; uverbs_free_pd() frees the PD on that count alone and rxe_mw_cleanup() writes to freed memory: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __rxe_put+0x31/0xa0 Write of size 4 at addr ffff8881301dd690

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Fix integer overflow in mr_check_range() leading to OOB access mr_check_range() validates that [iova, iova+length) falls within the registered MR range using wraparound-prone arithmetic: if (iova < mr->ibmr.iova || iova + length > mr->ibmr.iova + mr->ibmr.length) A remote peer can craft an RDMA-Write/Read RETH so that iova + length wraps to 0 (e.g. iova=0xfffffffffffffff8, length=8), bypassing the check. rxe_mr_iova_to_index() then computes a huge index (int idx, only guarded by WARN_ON) and rxe_mr_copy_xarray() dereferences mr->page_info[huge], causing an out-of-bounds read/write and a kernel oops that is triggerable by an unauthenticated remote peer. Rewrite the check in overflow-safe form; the first two clauses guarantee that the subsequent subtractions do not underflow: if (iova < mr->ibmr.iova || length > mr->ibmr.length || iova - mr->ibmr.iova > mr->ibmr.length - length) With the fix, mr_check_range() returns -EINVAL for the crafted iova and the responder reports REMOTE_ACCESS_ERROR instead of triggering the OOB.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Restore HMM_PFN_WRITE check in ODP write paths Commit 0b261d7c1cd3 ("RDMA/rxe: Break endless pagefault loop for RO pages") dropped the access permission test from rxe_check_pagefault() and left only HMM_PFN_VALID. A page faulted in read-only, for example a page-cache folio behind a PROT_READ file mapping, then satisfies the check and ODP write operations (RDMA WRITE, RDMA READ response, SEND payload, atomics) modify it through kmap without ever breaking CoW. An unprivileged user can register an ODP MR over such a mapping and have incoming RDMA traffic overwrite the page cache of a file it only holds O_RDONLY, including /etc/passwd or setuid binaries. This is the same primitive class as Dirty COW and CVE-2022-2590. mlx5 has the missing invariant: its ODP path sets the device write bit only for pfns that carry HMM_PFN_WRITE. Restore it in rxe by requiring HMM_PFN_WRITE in rxe_check_pagefault() for every operation except RXE_PAGEFAULT_RDONLY. A write to a non-writable VMA now fails the one fault attempt with -EPERM from hmm_vma_fault() instead of re-faulting forever. For a writable VMA the fault breaks C

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: insert mcg into mcg_tree only after rxe_mcast_add() succeeds rxe_get_mcg() publishes a newly allocated multicast group in rxe->mcg_tree before programming the backing Ethernet multicast address with rxe_mcast_add(), which runs outside mcg_lock. A local userspace RDMA client reaches this path with ATTACH_MCAST on a UD QP; if rxe_mcast_add() then returns an error (for example -ENODEV when the backing netdev has been removed, or a propagated dev_mc_add() error), the unwind frees the published group without removing it from the tree. A later lookup of the same MGID dereferences the freed struct rxe_mcg from __rxe_lookup_mcg(). Fix this by keeping the new mcg private until rxe_mcast_add() succeeds. Split the tree publication into __rxe_publish_mcg(), call rxe_mcast_add() before taking the tree reference, and free the still-private mcg on failure. Because the group is never visible in mcg_tree until the multicast address is programmed, no concurrent caller can look it up or attach a QP to a group that is about to be torn down, so the error path needs no conditional unwind. If another caller publishes the sam

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/core: Reject unregistering netdevs in ib_get_eth_speed ib_device_get_netdev() intentionally returns a referenced net_device even when it is unregistering, so matching and cleanup callers can still find the association. The reference keeps struct net_device allocated, but does not guarantee that the device remains operational. ib_get_eth_speed() uses the returned device operationally by invoking its ethtool callback. Although that call is made under RTNL, the function does not verify the registration state first. An asynchronous RDMA port query can therefore call into a netdev after NETDEV_UNREGISTER and ndo_uninit have completed. Check for NETREG_REGISTERED while holding RTNL and return -ENODEV for a device which is being unregistered. Keeping RTNL across the check and the ethtool operation prevents unregister from starting between them. Keep the speed fallback and warning under RTNL as well, so the warning can safely read netdev->name. Drop the netdev reference before releasing RTNL once all accesses to the device are complete.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/mad: Fix receive buffer leak when PKey enforcement fails ib_mad_complete_recv() initializes mad_recv_wc->rmpp_list and then runs ib_mad_enforce_security() before linking recv_buf onto that list. On failure it calls ib_free_recv_mad(), which only walks rmpp_list and frees the ib_mad_private of every buffer found there. As the list is still empty at that point, nothing is freed at all. The caller cannot clean up either: ib_mad_recv_done() sets recv to NULL right after ib_mad_complete_recv() returns, assuming the MAD layer took ownership of the buffer. Every MAD that fails the PKey check therefore leaks one ib_mad_private (about 300 bytes per IB port MAD, ~2K for OPA), and a remote node can trigger this repeatedly by sending MADs with a wrong PKey. Link recv_buf onto rmpp_list right after the list is initialized, so the error path has something to free.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rtrs-clt: Fix CQ pool leak when connect is interrupted The client borrows shared CQ credits in the ADDR_RESOLVED handler via ib_cq_pool_get(), before the peer is connected. create_cm() can return -ERESTARTSYS from wait_event_interruptible_timeout() without destroying the CM ID. The init_conns() and stop-and-destroy paths then call destroy_con_cq_qp() while cq is still NULL (no PUT) and only afterwards rdma_destroy_id(). CMA serializes the handler against rdma_destroy_id() with handler_mutex, but that does not order the GET against destroy_con_cq_qp(). If ADDR_RESOLVED has already passed the DESTROYING check, it can take con_mutex, GET credits, and then lose the con to kfree. Device unregister later hits WARN_ON(cq->cqe_used) in ib_cq_pool_cleanup(). Set a per-connection flag under con_mutex before CQ/QP teardown so a racing ADDR_RESOLVED cannot borrow credits after teardown has begun.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/siw: Bound fragmented header copies by the remaining length siw_get_hdr() can receive an extended DDP/RDMAP header across more than one TCP callback. The first callback may receive most of the header, while the next one still limits the copy to hdrlen - MIN_DDP_HDR instead of the number of missing bytes. This makes the destination move past the end of the header and overwrite the receive state, including fpdu_part_rcvd. A later callback can then use a negative fpdu_part_rcvd value as a copy offset, which creates an OOB write. Use the number of header bytes already received when calculating the next copy length.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/ucma: Serialize join and leave on copy_to_user failure rdma_join_multicast() queues RoCE work that later reads the ucma_multicast through event->param.ud.private_data, then list_add()s the CMA multicast at the head of id_priv->mc_list. rdma_leave_multicast() matches only by sockaddr and destroys the first hit. ucma_process_join() used to drop ctx->mutex after a successful join and retake it only if copy_to_user() failed. Two concurrent JOIN_MCAST calls with the same address can therefore insert a second CMA entry before the first thread's leave. leave then cancels the newer work and the older worker still dereferences the ucma_multicast that the first thread frees. Keep ctx->mutex held from rdma_join_multicast() through copy_to_user() and, on -EFAULT, through rdma_leave_multicast() so leave cannot miss this join. Do not leave if join itself failed: that path never published this address on mc_list, and a leave-by-addr would destroy an earlier successful join.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/counter: Fix num_counters leak on bind_qp failure in alloc_and_bind() When __rdma_counter_bind_qp() fails in alloc_and_bind(), the error path jumps to err_mode which frees the counter without decrementing port_counter->num_counters. The only place that decrements is rdma_counter_free(), which is unreachable since the counter was never successfully bound. This leak accumulates across repeated failures, permanently preventing the port from switching to AUTO mode (-EBUSY in __counter_set_mode()) and blocking the MANUAL→NONE auto-revert in rdma_counter_free(). When the mode was NONE before the call, the MANUAL mode set by __counter_set_mode() also leaks since the revert logic is never reached. Add an err_bind label between the num_counters increment and the existing err_mode label. It decrements num_counters and mirrors the MANUAL→NONE revert from rdma_counter_free(), ensuring the port state is fully restored on bind failure.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/bnxt_re: Validate udata before executing commands The destroy callbacks currently zero the udata output after tearing down driver resources. If the userspace access fails, uverbs preserves the uobject and allows the destroy callback to run again, even though the driver resource has already been freed. Call ib_no_udata_io() before teardown so udata failures are detected while the resource is still intact, then return success after teardown completes. As part of this change, move ib_respond_empty_udata() to the start of the create and modify flows. While this is not strictly required for general create flows, as the core layer unwinds uobjects on failure, it is necessary for create AH. In _rdma_create_ah(), the HW object is otherwise leaked.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/core: Fix potential use after free in uverbs_free_dmah() When accessing a dmah via the netlink path the only synchronization mechanism for the said dmah is rdma_restrack_get(). Currently, rdma_restrack_del() is invoked at the end of uverbs_free_dmah(), which is too late, since by that point vendor-specific resources associated with the dmah might already be freed. This can leave a short window where the dmah remains accessible through restrack, leading to a potential use-after-free. Fix this by moving the rdma_restrack_begin_del() call to the start of uverbs_free_dmah(), ensuring that the dmah is removed from restrack before its internal resources are released. This guarantees that no new users hold references to a dmah that is in the process of destruction. In addition, this change preserves the intended inverted order between create and destroy routines: resources are added to restrack at the end of successful creation, and hence shall be removed from the restrack first thing during the destruction flow, which keeps the lifecycle management consistent and predictable.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/efa: Fix PBL chunk length computation On register MR, when creating the PBL, if it's an indirect PBL we create a chunk list to hold the PBL pages pointers. Each chunk is 4KB in size and can hold 510 addresses (EFA_PTRS_PER_CHUNK) and has a 12-byte control buffer at the end of it holding the next chunk's pointer and its length. If the PBL number of pages is a multiple of EFA_PTRS_PER_CHUNK, the calculated last chunk length is wrongly computed as 0, even though that chunk is fully populated with 510 real page pointers. This wrong length is used both to DMA map the chunk and is propagated to the device, causing the device to see the chunk as empty and reject the memory registration. Fix the calculation so it will be performed only if the number of pages isn't a multiple of EFA_PTRS_PER_CHUNK, if it is, its already handled in the above loop correctly. Also prevent out-of-bounds reach in the chunks array in such scenario.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: svcrdma: Reject Write/Reply chunks with segcount 0 A peer can send a Write or Reply chunk whose segcount field is zero. xdr_check_write_chunk() only rejects segcount > rc_maxpages, so zero passes the range check, and xdr_inline_decode(stream, 0) returns the current (non-NULL) cursor without advancing. The function returns true and pcl_alloc_write() then links a struct svc_rdma_chunk with ch_segcount == 0 onto rc_write_pcl or rc_reply_pcl. An earlier patch in this series made pcl_for_each_segment() safe for ch_segcount == 0, so this no longer drives the memory walk it used to. Rejecting the malformed frame at the decode boundary is still worthwhile as defense in depth: it keeps degenerate zero-segment chunks off the parsed chunk lists entirely, so any future consumer that walks ch_segments directly cannot observe one, and it makes the zero-floor easy to backport to trees where the macro change is more intrusive. RFC 8166 has no meaning for a Write/Reply chunk that describes no remote buffer, so no legitimate client is affected. xdr_check_reply_chunk() funnels Reply chunks through xdr_check_write_chunk() and inhe

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: svcrdma: Fix unmatched rn_unregister on failed accept When svc_rdma_accept() takes the errout path before rpcrdma_rn_register() has succeeded, the existing cleanup block calls rpcrdma_rn_unregister(dev, &newxprt->sc_rn) unconditionally. svcxprt_rdma is kzalloc'd, so on that path sc_rn.rn_index is 0 and sc_rn.rn_done is NULL; the unregister therefore xa_erase()s another caller's slot 0 and performs an unmatched kref_put() on the rpcrdma_device's rd_kref. The same errout also brackets the cleanup with svc_xprt_get()/ svc_xprt_put() around the kref_init() birth reference. The kref goes 1 -> 2 -> 1 and never reaches 0, so the svcxprt_rdma (and the net/ns_tracker it pinned) is leaked on every failed accept. rpcrdma_rn_register() writes rn->rn_done last, only after xa_alloc() and kref_get() have both succeeded, so rn_done == NULL is a natural "never registered" sentinel. Guard rpcrdma_rn_unregister() with an early return when rn_done is NULL, and clear rn_done before the matching xa_erase() so a repeated unregister is also a no-op. With that guard in place, the accept errout drops the kref_init() birth reference via

Before commit 49dc9c1f0c7e ("RDMA/rxe: Cleanup reset state handling in rxe_resp.c") this was the flush loop: check_resource() had an error-state branch that fetched each remaining recv WQE and completed it with IB_WC_WR_FLUSH_ERR, without touching the current packet. That commit removed the error-state branch from check_resource() (draining is now done at rxe_receiver() entry) but kept the do_complete() error-state return. As a result, when a QP moves to the error state while a packet is being completed - e.g. an rdma_cm disconnect racing with receive processing - the responder state machine loops back into the request processing chain with the already-completed packet still in hand: check_resource() fetches a fresh recv WQE, execute()/send_data_in() copies the same packet payload again, do_complete() posts another IB_WC_SUCCESS CQE (qp->resp.status is still 0), and control returns to the error-state check. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Validate num_sge/cur_sge before indexing wqe->dma.sge[] For a user QP, qp->sq.queue is a ring the application writes directly, so rxe_post_send() takes the is_user branch and only schedules send_task without validating the WQE. rxe_requester() consumes it in place via req_next_wqe() and calls copy_data(), which indexes &wqe->dma.sge[cur_sge] with the attacker-controlled num_sge/cur_sge. Only the kernel path bounds num_sge (validate_send_wr()); the user WQE is never checked, so a local unprivileged user can post a WQE with an out-of-range cur_sge or oversized num_sge and force an out-of-bounds read of the per-WQE sge array in copy_data() (vmalloc OOB read, local DoS). Bound num_sge to qp->sq.max_sge in rxe_requester() before use, the way get_srq_wqe() already guards SRQ entries, and bound cur_sge only when the WQE carries payload (dma.resid): copy_data() returns early on a zero-length copy before touching dma->sge[], so a zero-payload WQE -- the only kind a max_sge == 0 QP can post -- stays valid. Reproduced under KASAN; the vmalloc-out-of-bounds in copy_data() is gone.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/nldev: validate dynamic counter attribute length RDMA_NLDEV_ATTR_STAT_HWCOUNTERS is aCVE-2026-92523 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/nldev: validate dynamic counter attribute length RDMA_NLDEV_ATTR_STAT_HWCOUNTERS is a nested attribute whose children are consumed directly with nla_get_u32(). The top-level policy validates only the container, so it does not establish the fixed shape of each child. Require every child payload to be exactly one u32 before reading it.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/erdma: Fix CEQ tasklet use-after-free on removal Each CEQ interrupt handler only scheCVE-2026-92514 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/erdma: Fix CEQ tasklet use-after-free on removal Each CEQ interrupt handler only schedules eqc->tasklet. The tasklet calls erdma_ceq_completion_handler(), which reads the DMA-coherent EQ ring through get_next_valid_eqe() and updates eq->dbrec through notify_eq(). erdma_ceqs_uninit() frees each CEQ IRQ and then destroys its EQ. free_irq() prevents another hard IRQ and waits for an in-flight handler, but it does not drain a tasklet that the handler already scheduled. The tasklet can therefore access eq->qbuf or eq->dbrec after erdma_eq_destroy() frees them. Clearing ceq_cb->ready does not synchronize with a tasklet that already passed the check at the start of erdma_ceq_completion_handler(). Kill the tasklet after free_irq(), when no handler can schedule it again, and before erdma_ceq_uninit_one() releases the EQ buffers.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/mana_ib: drain QP references after partial table insertion mana_table_store_ud_qp() pCVE-2026-92513 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/mana_ib: drain QP references after partial table insertion mana_table_store_ud_qp() publishes a QP at its send-queue id before inserting the receive-queue id, dropping the XArray lock between the two xa_insert_irq() calls. A concurrent completion handler can look up the QP and take a transient reference. When the second insertion fails, the rollback erased only the send-queue entry and returned, leaving both the initial table reference and the transient reference outstanding while RDMA core frees the QP, causing a use-after-free. Drain the reference as normal destruction does: drop the initial reference and wait for qp->free, releasing the QP only after every concurrent lookup returns its reference.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
