e621ng versions before 26.09.16 pass untrusted request parameters directly to Rails url_for in PaginatorComponent and controller navigation links, allowing attackers to redirect pagination and navigation controls to attacker-controlled origins. Attackers can supply host, protocol, and port query parameters that are interpreted as URL generation options, causing pagination links to point to malicious domains while the initial page loads from the legitimate site.

  • Sep 22, 2026Spree is an open source e-commerce solution built with Ruby on Rails.CVE-2026-94462 · Other software · spree · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

Spree is an open source e-commerce solution built with Ruby on Rails. From 5.4.0 until 5.4.4 and 5.5.4, PATCH /api/v3/store/carts/:id/associate in Spree::Api::V3::Store::CartsController#associate uses find_cart_for_association to locate a cart by prefixed_id but does not require a cart token or otherwise verify possession of the selected guest cart. An authenticated customer can derive reversible prefixed cart IDs, associate an eligible guest cart with the attacker's account, and receive billing and shipping address data from the cart. Exploitation requires a guest cart with address data on a store that does not require login for checkout, and reassignment can also disrupt the guest's in-progress cart. This issue is fixed in versions 5.4.4 and 5.5.4.

  • Sep 14, 2026Pay is a payments engine for Ruby on Rails 6.0 and higher.CVE-2026-70658 · Other software · pay-rails · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4

Pay is a payments engine for Ruby on Rails 6.0 and higher. Prior to 11.6.2, Pay::Webhooks::PaddleBillingController#valid_signature? in app/controllers/pay/webhooks/paddle_billing_controller.rb compares the computed 64-character SHA-256 HMAC with the attacker-controlled h1 token from the Paddle-Signature header using Ruby String#==. An unauthenticated remote attacker who can repeatedly submit requests to /pay/webhooks/paddle_billing and obtain sufficiently precise timing measurements can infer matching digest prefixes and recover a valid signature. A forged accepted webhook is enqueued through Pay::Webhooks::ProcessJob and can cause a host application to update billing state, provision paid features, record refunds, or trigger customer notifications. This issue is fixed in version 11.6.2.

  • Sep 14, 2026Alchemy is an open source content management system engine written in Ruby on Rails.CVE-2026-57579 · Other software · AlchemyCMS · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

Alchemy is an open source content management system engine written in Ruby on Rails. Prior to 7.4.15, 8.0.15, 8.1.14, and 8.2.6, the unauthenticated GET /api/pages/nested endpoint implemented by Api::PagesController#nested in app/controllers/alchemy/api/pages_controller.rb returns an unfiltered page tree because it performs no authorization and does not scope descendants by the caller's ability. Anonymous callers can retrieve restricted and unpublished page metadata that the sibling show action denies. When elements=true is supplied, PageTreeSerializer also returns element and ingredient content from restricted pages because PageTreePreloader and the serializer do not apply an ability check to those records. This issue is fixed in versions 7.4.15, 8.0.15, 8.1.14, and 8.2.6.

  • Sep 14, 2026ContextForge is an AI gateway, registry, and proxy that provides centralized discovery, guardrails, and management for MCP, A2A, and REST or gRPC APIs.CVE-2026-53708 · Other software · IBM · reported by GitHubMedium 6.6

ContextForge is an AI gateway, registry, and proxy that provides centralized discovery, guardrails, and management for MCP, A2A, and REST or gRPC APIs. Prior to 1.0.3, the /admin/gateways/test call site in mcpgateway/admin.py calls validate_gateway_test_url() in mcpgateway/common/validators.py to resolve and reject private, loopback, link-local, and cloud-metadata addresses, but ResilientHttpClient later resolves the original hostname again without binding the validated address. When MCPGATEWAY_ADMIN_API_ENABLED is enabled, an attacker with a database-backed role containing explicit gateways.read permission can use DNS rebinding to return a public address during validation and a private or metadata address during connection, bypassing ssrf_blocked_networks and ssrf_dns_fail_closed because those controls apply only to the validation-time result. The endpoint's allow_admin_bypass=False setting means a bootstrap-only virtual platform-admin identity without a database role is not sufficient. Successful exploitation can reach internal services and cloud metadata, expose cloud credentials, access internal APIs, or probe internal network ports. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.3.

  • Sep 4, 2026Avo is a framework to create admin panels for Ruby on Rails apps.CVE-2026-53769 · Other software · avo-hq · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

Avo is a framework to create admin panels for Ruby on Rails apps. From version 2.28.0 to before version 3.32.0, Avo's direct attachment upload endpoint lacks server-side upload authorization and bypasses the documented field-level upload policy methods such as upload_{FIELD_ID}?. An authenticated Avo user who can reach the Avo attachment upload endpoint can replace or add attachment content, including binary content, filename, and content-type metadata, on a resolved record even when both update? and upload_<field>? policies deny the operation. This primarily affects multi-role Avo Pro/Advanced-style deployments where non-administrator or restricted operator users can reach Avo and per-record or per-field operations are expected to be enforced by policies. This issue has been patched in version 3.32.0.

The execute_ruby tool is documented as a read-only Ruby sandbox and is enforced by a pattern denylist together with replacements for the process-spawning methods on Kernel. The pseudo-terminal library's spawn entry points are neither in the denylist nor replaced, so a normal tool call could reach them and start a shell, executing commands as the account running the server and outside the guarded methods. The denylist was introduced with the tool in 1.4.0 and never covered those entry points through 1.6.0. Version 1.6.1 restricts the requires the sandbox permits to a data-only list and blocks dynamic dispatch to execution entry points; 2.0.0 removes the tool.

  • Aug 25, 2026Doorkeeper OpenID Connect implements an OpenID Connect authentication provider for Rails applications on top of Doorkeeper.CVE-2026-70665 · Other software · doorkeeper-gem · reported by GitHubMedium 4.2

Doorkeeper OpenID Connect implements an OpenID Connect authentication provider for Rails applications on top of Doorkeeper. Prior to 1.10.4, the Dynamic Client Registration (DCR) endpoint persists client-supplied scopes without validating them against the server's configured scope set. Under certain conditions, this allows a self-registered client to obtain scopes beyond what the server intended to grant. In DynamicClientRegistrationController#application_params, the scopes attribute is assigned directly from params[:scope] with no validation against Doorkeeper.configuration.scopes or optional_scopes. Combined with enforce_configured_scopes being off by default and Doorkeeper's ScopeChecker prioritizing application-level scopes over server-level scopes, this creates a privilege escalation path. This issue is fixed in version 1.10.4.

  • Aug 25, 2026Doorkeeper is an OAuth 2 provider for Ruby on Rails.CVE-2026-44476 · Other software · doorkeeper-gem · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3

Doorkeeper is an OAuth 2 provider for Ruby on Rails. In version 1.9.0, an attacker who knows only a dynamically registered client's client_id, which is public information, can authenticate as that client at the token endpoint and obtain an access token without providing its client_secret. This occurs because the Dynamic Client Registration feature creates applications with confidential: false hard-coded, even though the registration response returns a client_secret and advertises support for the client_secret_basic and client_secret_post authentication methods; since Doorkeeper treats a blank or missing secret as valid for non-confidential (public) clients, the secret is never verified. Only projects that have explicitly enabled Dynamic Client Registration, which is disabled by default, are affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.10.0.

  • Aug 13, 2026rails-html-sanitizer is responsible for sanitizing HTML fragments in Rails applications.CVE-2026-73648 · Other software · rails · reported by GitHubMedium 5.1

rails-html-sanitizer is responsible for sanitizing HTML fragments in Rails applications. From 1.0.3 until 1.7.1, Rails::HTML::PermitScrubber restricted SVG reference elements in SVG_ALLOW_LOCAL_HREF only when they used xlink:href, even though browsers also accept the plain href attribute. Applications with non-default allowed tags that included SVG use or feImage elements could therefore permit external references; a same-origin external SVG referenced by use could execute scripts in the sanitized document's context, while feImage could load external images for tracking. Applications using the default allowed tags are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.7.1.

  • Jul 30, 2026Action Pack is a framework for handling and responding to web requests.CVE-2026-66066 · Other software · rails · reported by GitHubCritical 9.5

Action Pack is a framework for handling and responding to web requests. In versions prior to 7.2.3.2, 8.0.5.1 and 8.1.3.1, Active Storage does not disable libvips operations marked unsafe for untrusted content, allowing a crafted upload to invoke such an operation. Consuming applications are affected when configured to use libvips and accept image uploads from untrusted users. An unauthenticated attacker may exploit this behavior to read arbitrary files accessible to the Rails process, including environment variables and application secrets. Exposure of credentials such as secret_key_base or external-service tokens may enable remote code execution or lateral movement. This issue has been fixed in versions 7.2.3.2, 8.0.5.1 and 8.1.3.1.

  • Jul 17, 2026Avo is a framework to create admin panels for Ruby on Rails apps.CVE-2026-55518 · Other software · avo-hq · reported by GitHubCritical 9.6

Avo is a framework to create admin panels for Ruby on Rails apps. Prior to 3.32.1 and 4.0.0.beta.51, Avo's association attach workflow checks attach_<association>? in the UI and GET /resources/:resource/:id/:related/new path, but the actual write endpoint, POST /resources/:resource/:id/:related, does not run the same authorization check before mutating the association through Avo::AssociationsController#create. An authenticated low-privileged Avo user can bypass hidden or disabled attach controls and directly attach related records to a parent record by sending a crafted POST request, which can lead to privilege escalation and cross-tenant data exposure where associations represent authorization-bearing relationships. This issue is fixed in versions 3.32.1 and 4.0.0.beta.51.

  • Jul 17, 2026view_component is a framework for building reusable, testable, and encapsulated view components in Ruby on Rails.CVE-2026-54498 · Other software · ViewComponent · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

view_component is a framework for building reusable, testable, and encapsulated view components in Ruby on Rails. From 4.0.0 until 4.12.0, ViewComponent::Base#around_render can return HTML-unsafe strings that bypass the escaping behavior applied to normal #call return values. This creates an XSS risk when downstream applications use around_render to wrap, replace, instrument, or conditionally return content that includes user-controlled data, and ViewComponent::Collection#render_in can amplify the issue by joining per-item results and marking the entire output html_safe, converting raw unsafe output into an ActiveSupport::SafeBuffer. • Jul 17, 2026view_component is a framework for building reusable, testable, and encapsulated view components in Ruby on Rails.CVE-2026-54497 · Other software · ViewComponent · reported by GitHubMedium 6.8

view_component is a framework for building reusable, testable, and encapsulated view components in Ruby on Rails. From 4.0.0 until 4.12.0, ViewComponent::Base instances retain render-scoped objects across calls to render_in; if the same component, collection, or spacer component instance is reused across requests, users, tenants, or threads, later renders can use stale helpers, controller, request, view_flow, format/variant details, and slot child context from an earlier render. This can cause authorization-aware components to render privileged UI for a lower-privileged user, generate links using a stale Host header, leak slot/helper state, and mix request context under concurrent rendering. This issue is fixed in version 4.12.0.

Guardrails AI is a Python framework that helps build AI applications. On May 11, 2026 at approximately 6:00 PM Pacific, an attacker published a malicious version of `guardrails-ai` (0.10.1) to PyPI. Aany user who installed `guardrails-ai==0.10.1` from PyPI on May 11, 2026 may be affected. Security researchers identified the malicious package within approximately 2 hours of publication, and PyPI quarantined the repository. Based on our telemetry, Guardrails AI maintainers have observed no requests to Guardrails AI infrastructure originating from the malicious 0.10.1 version, and a review of system and access logs has produced no evidence of user data exfiltration through their systems. Users should upgrade to version 0.10.2 or downgrade to version 0.10.0, both of which are unaffected. Those who installed version 0.10.1 should rotate any credentials accessible from their machine (GitHub PATs, cloud provider keys, package registry tokens, API keys) and audit their GitHub account for unauthorized workflows or repositories.

view_component is a framework for building reusable, testable, and encapsulated view components in Ruby on Rails. From 3.0.0 to 4.9.0, the system test entrypoint canonicalizes a user-controlled file path with File.realpath, then checks whether the resolved path starts with the temp directory path. • May 26, 2026view_component is a framework for building reusable, testable, and encapsulated view components in Ruby on Rails.CVE-2026-44836 · Other software · ViewComponent · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

view_component is a framework for building reusable, testable, and encapsulated view components in Ruby on Rails. From 3.0.0 to 4.9.0, the preview route derives an example name from the URL and calls it with public_send. The code does not verify that the requested method is one of the preview examples explicitly defined by the preview class. As a result, inherited public methods on ViewComponent::Preview are route-reachable. The most important one is render_with_template, which accepts template: and locals:. Those values can come from request params and are later passed to Rails as render template:. If previews are exposed, an attacker can render internal Rails templates that are not otherwise routable. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.9.0.

  • May 22, 2026Devise is an authentication solution for Rails based on Warden.CVE-2026-40295 · Other software · heartcombo · reported by GitHubMedium 6.1

Devise is an authentication solution for Rails based on Warden. In versions 5.0.3 and below, when the Timeoutable module is enabled in Devise, the FailureApp#redirect_url method returns request.referrer — the HTTP Referer header, which is attacker-controllable — without validation for any non-GET request that results in a session timeout. An attacker who hosts a page with an auto-submitting cross-origin form can cause a victim with an expired Devise session to be redirected to an arbitrary external URL. This contrasts with the GET timeout path (which uses server-side attempted_path) and Devise's own store_location_for mechanism (which strips external hosts via extract_path_from_location), both of which are protected; only the non-GET timeout redirect path is unprotected. Expired-session users can be silently redirected from the trusted app domain to attacker-controlled URLs, enabling phishing and malware delivery while bypassing browser warnings. Note: Rails' built-in open-redirect protection does not mitigate this issue. Devise::FailureApp is an ActionController::Metal app with its own isolated copy of the relevant redirect configuration, so config.action_controller.action_on_open

Prior to versions 8.1.2.1, 8.0.4.1, and 7.2.3.1, when serving files through Active Storage's proxy delivery mode, the proxy controller loads the entire requested byte range into memory before sending it. A request with a large or unbounded Range header (e.g. `bytes=0-`) could cause the server to allocate memory proportional to the file size, possibly resulting in a DoS vulnerability through memory exhaustion. Versions 8.1.2.1, 8.0.4.1, and 7.2.3.1 contain a patch.

  • Mar 23, 2026Active Storage allows users to attach cloud and local files in Rails applications.CVE-2026-33173 · Other software · rails · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

Active Storage allows users to attach cloud and local files in Rails applications. Prior to versions 8.1.2.1, 8.0.4.1, and 7.2.3.1, `DirectUploadsController` accepts arbitrary metadata from the client and persists it on the blob. Because internal flags like `identified` and `analyzed` are stored in the same metadata hash, a direct-upload client can set these flags to skip MIME detection and analysis. This allows an attacker to upload arbitrary content while claiming a safe `content_type`, bypassing any validations that rely on Active Storage's automatic content type identification. Versions 8.1.2.1, 8.0.4.1, and 7.2.3.1 contain a patch.

Active Support is a toolkit of support libraries and Ruby core extensions extracted from the Rails framework. Prior to versions 8.1.2.1, 8.0.4.1, and 7.2.3.1, `SafeBuffer#%` does not propagate the `@html_unsafe` flag to the newly created buffer. If a `SafeBuffer` is mutated in place (e.g. via `gsub!`) and then formatted with `%` using untrusted arguments, the result incorrectly reports `html_safe? == true`, bypassing ERB auto-escaping and possibly leading to XSS. Versions 8.1.2.1, 8.0.4.1, and 7.2.3.1 contain a patch.

Action View provides conventions and helpers for building web pages with the Rails framework. Prior to versions 8.1.2.1, 8.0.4.1, and 7.2.3.1, when a blank string is used as an HTML attribute name in Action View tag helpers, the attribute escaping is bypassed, producing malformed HTML. A carefully crafted attribute value could then be misinterpreted by the browser as a separate attribute name, possibly leading to XSS. Applications that allow users to specify custom HTML attributes are affected. Versions 8.1.2.1, 8.0.4.1, and 7.2.3.1 contain a patch.

  • Mar 18, 2026Devise is an authentication solution for Rails based on Warden.CVE-2026-32700 · Other software · heartcombo · reported by GitHubMedium 6

Devise is an authentication solution for Rails based on Warden. Prior to version 5.0.3, a race condition in Devise's Confirmable module allows an attacker to confirm an email address they do not own. This affects any Devise application using the `reconfirmable` option (the default when using Confirmable with email changes). By sending two concurrent email change requests, an attacker can desynchronize the `confirmation_token` and `unconfirmed_email` fields. The confirmation token is sent to an email the attacker controls, but the `unconfirmed_email` in the database points to a victim's email address. When the attacker uses the token, the victim's email is confirmed on the attacker's account. This is patched in Devise v5.0.3. Users should upgrade as soon as possible. As a workaround, applications can override a specific method from Devise models to force `unconfirmed_email` to be persisted when unchanged. Note that Mongoid does not seem to respect that `will_change!` should force the attribute to be persisted, even if it did not really change, so the user might have to implement a workaround similar to Devise by setting `changed_attributes["unconfirmed_email"] = nil` as well.

  • Jan 19, 2026Alchemy is an open source content management system engine written in Ruby on Rails.CVE-2026-23885 · Other software · AlchemyCMS · reported by GitHubMedium 6.4

Alchemy is an open source content management system engine written in Ruby on Rails. Prior to versions 7.4.12 and 8.0.3, the application uses the Ruby `eval()` function to dynamically execute a string provided by the `resource_handler.engine_name` attribute in `Alchemy::ResourcesHelper#resource_url_proxy`. The vulnerability exists in `app/helpers/alchemy/resources_helper.rb` at line 28. The code explicitly bypasses security linting with `# rubocop:disable Security/Eval`, indicating that the use of a dangerous function was known but not properly mitigated. Since `engine_name` is sourced from module definitions that can be influenced by administrative configurations, it allows an authenticated attacker to escape the Ruby sandbox and execute arbitrary system commands on the host OS. Versions 7.4.12 and 8.0.3 fix the issue by replacing `eval()` with `send()`.
