In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched/core: Call wakeup_preempt() for queued tasks during class change Paul reported recent RCU changes exposed a lost resched where CPU idles with a rcutorture thread waiting while being completely runnable. Dumping the rq state at the time of idling with runnable tasks showed the following: rq->next_class = &fair_sched_class rq->nr_running = 1 rq->cfs.h_nr_queued = 0 rq->rt.rt_nr_running = 1 Although the waiting task was an RT task, "rq->next_class" did not point to rt_sched_class and was stuck at the lower priority fair_sched_class. Inspecting sched_change_end() revealed the following race with __sched_setscheduler() for queued, but non-running tasks: CPU0 CPU1 ==== ==== __schedule() /* * rq->donor is a fair task that blocks. * rq->next_class = &fair_sched_class */ rq_lock(rq0) pick_next_task() /* nr_running = 0 */ pick_task_fair() sched_balance_newidle() raw_spin_rq_unlock(rq0) rq_lock(rq0)

Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: watch_queue: Fix note pool publication race in watch_queue_set_size() There is a race betwCVE-2026-99179 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: watch_queue: Fix note pool publication race in watch_queue_set_size() There is a race between watch_queue_set_size() and post_one_notification(). watch_queue_set_size() publishes wqueue->notes, notes_bitmap, nr_pages and nr_notes with plain stores, and post_one_notification() reads them with plain loads under a different lock, so nothing orders the four stores against the poster's loads: depending on the build, notes can be stored last (gcc 14 on x86-64 does this). Since keyctl_watch_key() lets a watch attach to a queue before it is sized, post_one_notification() can already be running on another CPU at that moment: it reads nr_notes > 0, passes its bounds check, and then reads notes while it is still NULL, dereferencing notes[0]. An unprivileged user triggers this reliably by watching one of its own keys through a notification pipe and racing ioctl(IOC_WATCH_QUEUE_SET_SIZE) on that pipe against keyctl(KEYCTL_SETPERM) on the key from another CPU, triggering: BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000000 RIP: 0010:post_one_notification.isra.0+0xa2/0x1e0 Call Trace: __post_watch_notifi

Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipc: drop the mqueue mount with kern_unmount() on setup failure mq_init_ns() creates the mCVE-2026-99172 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipc: drop the mqueue mount with kern_unmount() on setup failure mq_init_ns() creates the mqueue mount with fc_mount_longterm(), so its ->mnt_ns is MNT_NS_INTERNAL. When setting up the mqueue or ipc sysctls or msg_init_ns() fails afterwards, create_ipc_ns() drops it with a plain mntput(). With ->mnt_ns set that takes the fast path of mntput_no_expire(). The count drops to zero and nothing ever kills the mount, so the mount and the mqueue superblock are leaked. Commit dc55e35f9e81 ("ipc: Store mqueue sysctls in the ipc namespace") added the first failure path after mq_init_ns() and never dropped the mount. Commit 7229d74e5e8c ("ipc: create_ipc_ns: drop mqueue mount on sysctl setup failure") tried to fix that with a mntput() but that doesn't help for a long-term mount. Use kern_unmount(). free_ipc() open-codes the same thing for a namespace that made it.

Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: bsg: Pass reply_len to bsg_setup_queue() to fit UFS ARPMB replies bsg-lib allocates CVE-2026-99157 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: bsg: Pass reply_len to bsg_setup_queue() to fit UFS ARPMB replies bsg-lib allocates a 96-byte (SCSI_SENSE_BUFFERSIZE) reply buffer per job, but struct ufs_rpmb_reply is 104 bytes: a 40-byte struct ufs_bsg_reply followed by a 64-byte EHS. When an Advanced RPMB command returns an EHS, ufshcd_advanced_rpmb_req_handler() copies it right after the 40-byte header and writes 8 bytes past the end of the buffer. Let each BSG transport pass its reply buffer size to bsg_setup_queue() and have ufs_bsg request sizeof(struct ufs_rpmb_reply), so the full reply reaches user space. Other transports keep SCSI_SENSE_BUFFERSIZE.

Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Fix use-after-free of a destroyed user DSQ by a deferred reenqueue A deferred rCVE-2026-99144 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Fix use-after-free of a destroyed user DSQ by a deferred reenqueue A deferred reenqueue can read a freed user DSQ. The request stays on its CPU's deferred list until run_deferred() takes it, and the RCU callback that frees the DSQ assumes that the grace period has flushed it, so exit_dsq() checks the per-CPU node without the deferred list lock. A grace period waits for readers in flight, not for a pending run_deferred(). A run_deferred() which starts after the grace period began can detach the request right before the callback looks and then read the freed DSQ's id. Cancel the pending requests before the grace period instead. The irq work that frees the DSQ unlinks every CPU's request under the per-CPU deferred list lock, and schedule_dsq_reenq() ignores a new request under the same lock once the id is invalid. Only a run_deferred() that started before the grace period can hold a request, and it runs with IRQs disabled, so the grace period waits for it and nothing touches the DSQ after the callback.

Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: validate chunk length in the inqueue parser SCTP chunks always include a four-byte gCVE-2026-99128 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: validate chunk length in the inqueue parser SCTP chunks always include a four-byte generic header, but sctp_inq_pop() currently accepts shorter declared lengths. A zero-length chunk leaves chunk_end at the current header. When ASCONF is covered by the association's SCTP-AUTH policy, sctp_assoc_bh_rcv() can continue before the state machine performs its normal chunk-length check. sctp_inq_pop() then returns the same malformed chunk repeatedly and the receive softirq can lock up. A remote SCTP peer can trigger this after establishing an association on a kernel built with CONFIG_IP_SCTP and configured with net.sctp.addip_enable=1 and net.sctp.auth_enable=1. The reproducer did not require application credentials, a shared SCTP AUTH key, or net.sctp.addip_noauth_enable=1. On commit f967455fb2a5 ("seg6: reset IP6CB after IPv6 decapsulation"), one zero-length ASCONF caused repeated watchdog soft-lockup reports in a two-vCPU KVM guest. All 3 pre-trigger health probes succeeded, while 36 of 37 post-trigger probes failed. With this change, all 37 post-trigger probes succeeded and no equivalent soft-lockup signatur

Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Fix stall when a task enqueued with SCX_ENQ_LAST lands back on its CPU's local DCVE-2026-99105 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Fix stall when a task enqueued with SCX_ENQ_LAST lands back on its CPU's local DSQ With SCX_OPS_ENQ_LAST, the last runnable task on a CPU is passed to ops.enqueue() instead of being kept running. Exiting tasks without SCX_OPS_ENQ_EXITING, migration disabled tasks without SCX_OPS_ENQ_MIGRATION_DISABLED and tasks on an offline rq skip ops.enqueue() and go straight to the local DSQ. This happens in put_prev_task_scx() after the pick has settled on idle, so nothing reschedules the CPU, which idles with the task queued until an unrelated wakeup lands on it or the watchdog fires. scx_mitosis, which sets SCX_OPS_ENQ_LAST without SCX_OPS_ENQ_EXITING, hit this during mass cgroup teardown: exiting tasks stuck in exit_mmap() for over 40 seconds. A task put on the local DSQ runs, as anywhere else. If the SCX_ENQ_LAST enqueue left the task on this CPU's local DSQ, set need_resched on the task being switched in, as proxy_resched_idle() does. resched_curr() would flag the task being put instead, and __schedule() clears that right after the pick.

Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: workqueue: Fix NULL current_pwq deref in chained work check current_wq_worker() only tellsCVE-2026-99058 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: workqueue: Fix NULL current_pwq deref in chained work check current_wq_worker() only tells us that %current is a kworker. It does not guarantee that the worker is currently executing a work item, as worker->current_pwq is populated only while process_one_work() is running the work function. is_chained_work() can be reached while queueing on a draining or destroying workqueue. If a kworker outside work-item execution reaches that path, current_wq_worker() returns a worker but worker->current_pwq is NULL, and the chained-work test can fault before it emits the intended warning. Guard the chained-work test with worker->current_pwq. A kworker without current_pwq is not executing work on the target workqueue, so the helper should return false and let the draining/destroying warning fire.

Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: destroy topsrv workqueues before closing connections tipc_topsrv_stop() closed subscCVE-2026-99054 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: destroy topsrv workqueues before closing connections tipc_topsrv_stop() closed subscriber connections while the topology server's send and receive workqueues were still running. Socket callbacks and subscription events could then queue more work, and in-flight send/recv work could drop the last connection reference during the conn_idr walk. That race produced several teardown failures: refcount_t addition on 0 from conn_get() on a connection whose release was blocked on idr_lock, a subsequent use-after-free in tipc_conn_close(), queue_work() on an already destroyed workqueue from the listener data-ready callback, and an RCU stall in tipc_topsrv_exit_net() while the walk spun under idr_lock. Clear srv->listener under idr_lock so it acts as a shutdown flag, skip queue_work() once it is NULL, destroy the workqueues to flush in-flight work, and only then close the remaining connections. Refuse tipc_conn_lookup() after that flag is cleared, and drop idr_lock when the teardown walk finds no connection, so an in-flight subscription event cannot pin idr_in_use while the walk holds the lock. v3 supersedes the nar

Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: mtk-sd: Cancel request timeout work on remove The driver queues req_timeout while a rCVE-2026-99035 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: mtk-sd: Cancel request timeout work on remove The driver queues req_timeout while a request is active. msdc_request_done() uses cancel_delayed_work(), which does not wait for a timeout callback that has already started. The timeout callback calls mmc_request_done(), which wakes the request waiter, and then continues to use host->dev_comp and check the SDIO IRQ. During unbind, msdc_drv_remove() can return and the managed mmc_host can be freed before the callback finishes. KASAN reported use-after-free accesses in msdc_request_done() and msdc_recheck_sdio_irq() in each of three unbind tests. The same tests completed without a kernel diagnostic after this change. Call cancel_delayed_work_sync() after mmc_remove_host() has stopped new requests and before the driver releases the host resources.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/panthor: validate userspace queue count against initialized firmware slot count In panthor_drv.c:panthor_ioctl_group_create(), the queue count is validated against the hardcoded maximum: if (!args->queues.count || args->queues.count > MAX_CS_PER_CSG) return -EINVAL; However, if the firmware reports fewer slots than MAX_CS_PER_CSG, panthor_fw_init_ifaces() will only initialize that smaller number of stream interfaces. If unprivileged userspace requests more queues than the firmware reported (but no more than MAX_CS_PER_CSG), cs_slot_prog_locked() fetches an uninitialized stream interface and may crash when dereferencing cs_iface->input->ringbuf_base.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: namespace: queue a mount only once for mount notifications mnt_notify_add() puts a mount on notify_list. It doesn't check whether the mount is on the list already. That's fine as long as every mount is queued at most once per namespace_sem hold. It isn't. propagate_umount() moves a surviving overmount off a stack of mounts that are going away and queues it as moved. shrink_submounts() and mark_mounts_for_expiry() call umount_tree() for several mounts under a single namespace_sem hold. So the second umount_tree() can take down exactly the mount the first one reparented, reparent it once more and so end up queueing it a second time. The second list_add_tail() cuts the mounts queued in between out of the list while the head still points at the last of them. notify_mnt_list() then only visits that one mount and the others are freed after the grace period with notify_list still pointing at them. Motor.NET before 0.19.0 contains a denial of service vulnerability that allows a remote attacker who can publish to a consumed queue to crash the service permanently by sending a message with crafted cloudEvents headers. Attackers can supply an invalid cloudEvents:motorversion, a single double-quote header value, or an unparsable typed attribute such as cloudEvents:time to trigger an unhandled exception in ExtractCloudEvent that is treated as fatal, causing the application to stop and the unacknowledged message to be redelivered on restart, resulting in a permanent crash-loop.

The kernel helper z_waitq_head() (kernel/include/wait_q.h) reads the head of a thread wait queue, but on SMP systems it was called from several places without holding the scheduler spinlock _sched_spinlock that serializes wait-queue mutation. The consequential call site is z_timer_expiration_handler() in kernel/timer.c, which held only the timer subsystem lock timer_lock while reading timer->wait_q and then unpending, setting the return value of, and readying the thread it obtained. halt_thread() in kernel/sched.c removes an aborted thread from its wait queue while holding only _sched_spinlock, so the two paths are not mutually exclusive. When the last waiter is removed on another CPU inside that window, sys_dlist_peek_head() can return the list sentinel — a pointer into the k_timer object itself — typed as a struct k_thread * (with CONFIG_WAITQ_SCALABLE, rb_get_min() can return an arbitrary node of a tree being restructured), or it can return a pointer to a thread that has already been unpended and, for dynamically allocated threads, freed. The handler then calls unpend_thread_no_timeout(), which performs a sys_dlist_remove() through pointers read from that object, and arch_threa

A memory-protected ThreadX module's queue request reaches the Module Manager's dispatch layer, which decides how much of the module's buffer the privileged queue copy may touch and hands that extent to the module port's range check. A queue's `tx_queue_message_size` is a count of `ULONG`s and the copy moves that many words, so the extent is `message_size * sizeof(ULONG)` bytes. The front-send dispatcher passed the word count itself. `tx_queue_send` and `tx_queue_receive`, either side of it in the same header, have always multiplied. A source buffer ending `message_size` bytes into memory the module may read was therefore accepted, and `_txe_queue_front_send` then read `message_size * sizeof(ULONG)` bytes from it in privileged mode — `3 * message_size` bytes past the end of what the module is allowed to read. The words are written into the queue's message area, so a module that can receive from that queue reads them back.

Oct 19, 2026The Bluetooth Classic Hands-Free Profile HF role in subsys/bluetooth/host/classic/hfp_hf.c does not release the AT command buffers that are still queued on hf->CVE-2026-77684 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 5.7
The Bluetooth Classic Hands-Free Profile HF role in subsys/bluetooth/host/classic/hfp_hf.c does not release the AT command buffers that are still queued on hf->tx_pending when the RFCOMM DLC goes down. hfp_hf_disconnected() only cancelled the work items and cleared hf->acl, and no other code path ever dequeues those buffers, so each one is permanently lost from the fixed hf_pool (CONFIG_BT_MAX_CONN + 1 buffers, i.e. two in the default configuration). The same function also left BT_HFP_HF_FLAG_CONNECTED set, and hfp_hf_create() wiped the object with memset() as soon as hf->acl was NULL, without checking whether hf->work, hf->slc_work or hf->deferred_work was still pending or running. The remote Audio Gateway peer controls the trigger end to end and needs no application involvement: an unsolicited +BCS: 1 response makes bcs_handle() call bt_hfp_hf_select_codec() and queue an AT+BCS buffer, which cannot be transmitted while BT_HFP_HF_FLAG_RX_ONGOING is set, and an immediately following RFCOMM DISC strands that buffer. Repeating the connect / +BCS / disconnect cycle a couple of times empties hf_pool for good. With the pool exhausted, HFP command sending fails permanently, and because

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Don't run ops.dequeue() with a DSQ lock held ops.dequeue() is invoked with the source user DSQ's lock still held on the consume and move paths (scx_consume_dispatch_q(), move_task_between_dsqs()). A BPF scheduler which locks the source user DSQ from ops.dequeue() - e.g. by iterating it with bpf_iter_scx_dsq - self-deadlocks. ops.dequeue() can only call the "any" kfuncs and none of them can lock a builtin DSQ, so the global and bypass paths can't deadlock; however, all DSQ locks share one lockdep class, so iterating any user DSQ from ops.dequeue() on those paths trips the recursion check. Move the invocation after the DSQ unlock on all three paths. SCX_TASK_IN_CUSTODY is cleared under the lock serializing the transfer so that the callback is invoked exactly once.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Wait for SCX_OPSS_DISPATCHING before reenqueueing a task ebf1ccff79c4 ("sched_ext: Fix ops.dequeue() semantics") moved the final ops_state store in scx_dispatch_enqueue() after the DSQ unlock so that the custody update and ops.dequeue() precede it. A task can thus be found on a DSQ while still SCX_OPSS_DISPATCHING. The dequeue and core-sched pick paths wait for the state to clear in ops_dequeue() but the reenqueue paths don't. A reenqueue in that window runs ops.enqueue() and sets SCX_OPSS_QUEUED before the dispatch has completed. The dispatcher's final store then overwrites it with SCX_OPSS_NONE and finish_dispatch() drops every later dispatch of the task. Wait for SCX_OPSS_DISPATCHING to clear before dequeueing a task for reenqueue, the same way ops_dequeue() does.

Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k_htc: bound TX aggregation to MAX_TX_BUF_SIZE __hif_usb_tx() dequeues up to MAXCVE-2026-98827 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath9k_htc: bound TX aggregation to MAX_TX_BUF_SIZE __hif_usb_tx() dequeues up to MAX_TX_AGGR_NUM (20) frames into a single tx_buf of MAX_TX_BUF_SIZE (32768) bytes, limiting the batch by record count but never by cumulative byte length. With large frames (MTU 2304), 20 aggregated frames of 2292 bytes each exceed the allocation (20 * 2296 = 45920 bytes), so the memcpy() in the loop writes up to 13152 bytes past tx_buf->buf before usb_submit_urb(). Peek the queue head and stop before copying any record that would cross MAX_TX_BUF_SIZE, then dispatch the current batch. Leftover skbs remain queued and are drained on the next URB completion. The byte bound changes the loop's exit semantics: it can now exit before i == tx_skb_cnt - 1. Stock only finalized tx_buf->len on that last index (len += offset), so an early break would submit a URB holding only the last record's length while every dequeued skb is freed on completion, silently dropping frames. Make tx_buf->len a running total and advance tx_buf->offset per record instead; the stride round_up(nskb->len + 4, 4) is identical to the stock stride when the loop

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: fix slab-out-of-bounds read in ieee80211_monitor_select_queue() ieee80211_monitor_select_queue() validates the skb length using skb->len before dereferencing pointers into skb->data to access the 802.11 header. However, skb->len includes data in both the linear head buffer and non-linear fragments/pages. When AF_PACKET sends a packet large enough to become non-linear, the 802.11 header at skb->data + len_rthdr may extend past the linear head buffer even though skb->len appears sufficient. This leads to a slab-out-of-bounds read when accessing hdr->frame_control, as the kernel reads beyond the allocated skb head buffer: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in ieee80211_monitor_select_queue+0x1ed/0x220 syzbot has hit the same issues. Fix this by checking skb_headlen(skb) (which gives the length of the linear data region) instead of skb->len before dereferencing skb->data pointers. This ensures the required bytes are actually present in the linear portion of the skb. Apply the same fix to ieee80211_validate_radiotap_len() which has the same class of bug: it uses skb->len to validate accesses to skb-

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: cap skb->queue_mapping when the tx queue is picked skbedit can set skb->queue_mapping and raise the per-CPU skip_txqueue flag so __dev_queue_xmit() honours the mapping. __dev_queue_xmit() cleared the flag before sch_handle_egress() and only read it afterwards, so the flag was not confined to the xmit that set it: a nested xmit (mirred redirect or mirror, or a drop after skbedit) could set the flag and the outer xmit would consume it for an skb that never went through skbedit. A forwarded packet still carries the ingress NIC's rx_queue + 1 in skb->queue_mapping, so the outer device then indexes its tx queue state with that stale value. Taprio's child array q->qdiscs[] is sized to the device's queue count, so taprio_enqueue() indexes past its allocation and dereferences the result as a struct Qdisc *. We (ab)use the skb->nf_skip_egress which means "skip netfilter egress for this packet" to tag to "am I in tc egress?". Despite the overload I dont see it as a conflict since the marker is set only around the single sch_handle_egress() call and ingress path is guarded by tc_at_ingress. I will send a followup(net

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: mgmt: Dequeue pending mesh_send_sync entries on cancel In send_cancel(), pending mesh_tx objects are removed from the hdev->mesh_pending list and freed via mesh_send_complete(). However, if a mesh transmission was already queued onto hdev->cmd_sync_work_list via mesh_next(), the queued entry retains a raw pointer to mesh_tx. When hci_cmd_sync_work later processes the entry, it attempts to execute mesh_send_sync and its destroy callback mesh_send_start_complete using the already freed mesh_tx pointer, leading to a use-after-free. Fix this by invoking hci_cmd_sync_dequeue() for mesh_send_sync on the target mesh_tx before completing it. If the entry is found and dequeued, its destroy callback will complete and free the object; otherwise, mesh_send_complete() is called directly. Additionally, ensure the transmission queue advances after cancellation or errors. In mesh_send_start_complete(), call mesh_next() on error unless err is -ECANCELED, because hci_cmd_sync_dequeue() holds hdev->cmd_sync_work_lock and calling mesh_next() synchronously would deadlock. Instead, advance the queue in send_cancel()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: eth: fbnic: use the Rx queue napi pointer to find the napi vector The queue management ndos pick the napi vector for an Rx queue with: nv = fbn->napi[idx % fbn->num_napi]; The issue is this is only correct in the cases where there are no standalone Tx vectors. In those cases we were allocating the Tx vectors first and then the Rx so the queues would be pointing to Tx NAPI vectors instead of the Rx ones. The mapping the ndos want is already recorded. fbnic_set_netif_napi() publishes it with netif_queue_set_napi(), which stores the napi pointer in netdev_rx_queue.napi, and fbnic_reset_netif_napi() clears it again. Both run under the netdev instance lock that the queue management ndos also hold, so the pointer can be read directly. Use it and drop the divide. The pointer is NULL exactly while the datapath is down, so fbnic_queue_mem_alloc() can reject that case rather than reaching into freed state: netdev_rx_queue_restart() calls it before it tests netif_running(), and fbnic_pm_suspend() leaves netif_running() true across a PCIe recovery that never completes, so a queue restart can arrive after fbnic_stop() h

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: llcp: Fix race condition in accept_queue lifecycle In nfc_llcp_socket_release(), sockets and listener accept queues are walked under the local sockets rwlock and bh_lock_sock(). However, bh_lock_sock() does not synchronise against process-context lock_sock() held by nfc_llcp_accept_dequeue() during accept(). Because socket_release() does not check sock_owned_by_user(), both paths can concurrently unlink and release the same child socket, resulting in use-after-free or a NULL pointer dereference of child->parent in nfc_llcp_accept_unlink(). Fix this synchronisation race by having nfc_llcp_socket_release() use process-context lock_sock() instead of bh_lock_sock(): 1. Pop sockets from the local sockets list under the write lock using nfc_llcp_sock_list_pop() so lock_sock() can be acquired without holding the rwlock. 2. Because lock_sock() can sleep, defer the final release of the nfc_llcp_local structure to a workqueue (release_work). This avoids a sleeping-in-atomic bug when the last local reference is dropped from softirq context. Additionally, hold a single device reference on local

Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: prevent collapsing skbs across boundary in rtx queue tcp_write_collapse_fence() sets CVE-2026-98549 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: prevent collapsing skbs across boundary in rtx queue tcp_write_collapse_fence() sets TCP_SKB_CB(skb)->eor = 1 on tcp_write_queue_tail(sk) to prevent skbs queued after a switch to device encryption from being collapsed into earlier skbs. The fence is a no-op if all earlier data has already been transmitted when the switch happens: sk->sk_write_queue is empty. The not yet acknowledged earlier skbs wait in sk->tcp_rtx_queue with eor 0. On a subsequent retransmit or SACK shift, tcp_retrans_try_collapse() or tcp_shift_skb_data() can then merge an skb queued after the switch into one queued before it. Both users of the fence are affected: - psp: devices only encrypt skbs with skb->decrypted set. The merged skb keeps decrypted = 0 from the earlier skb, so merged data sent after psp_sock_assoc_set_tx() is retransmitted in cleartext. - tls device offload: the merged skb straddles the start marker set in tls_set_device_offload(). The software fallback (fill_sg_in() returns -EINVAL) and the mlx5, nfp and funeth drivers cannot handle such an skb and drop it. Every retransmit rebuilds the same skb, so the

Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: workqueue: Fix NULL current_pwq deref in flush dependency check check_flush_dependency() uCVE-2026-98537 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: workqueue: Fix NULL current_pwq deref in flush dependency check check_flush_dependency() uses current_wq_worker() to determine whether the caller is a workqueue worker and then dereferences worker->current_pwq to test whether the current workqueue is WQ_MEM_RECLAIM. current_wq_worker() only means that %current has PF_WQ_WORKER set. A kworker can reach check_flush_dependency() while it is not executing a work item. One such path is worker_thread() acting as the pool manager, where create_worker() does GFP_KERNEL allocation and the allocation path invokes the OOM notifier. In that state worker->current_pwq is NULL because current_pwq is set only by process_one_work() and cleared again after the work function returns. Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/vfio-ap: fix KVM GISC and page leak when queue removed from host config Three relatedCVE-2026-98473 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/vfio-ap: fix KVM GISC and page leak when queue removed from host config Three related problems exist in the handling of KVM interrupt and page resources when a queue is removed from the host's AP configuration while assigned to a mediated device (mdev). Problem 1: ~~~~~~~~~ AP_RESPONSE_Q_NOT_AVAIL not handled in vfio_ap_mdev_reset_queue() When the AP bus removes a queue device whose adapter or domain has been removed from the host's AP configuration, vfio_ap_mdev_remove_queue() is called. If the queue is still in the host's AP configuration at that point, it calls vfio_ap_mdev_reset_queue(), which issues a PQAP(ZAPQ). Since the adapter is already gone from the host configuration, ap_zapq() returns AP_RESPONSE_Q_NOT_AVAIL (0x01). This response code is not handled in vfio_ap_mdev_reset_queue()'s switch statement and falls through to the default case, which issues a WARN but does not call vfio_ap_free_aqic_resources(). As a result, if IRQ handling was enabled for the queue by the guest, the KVM GISC registration and the pinned guest page holding the notification indicator byte (NIB) are both leaked. This is

Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Derive SCX_RQ_IN_WAKEUP from the core enqueue flags schedule_deferred_locked() CVE-2026-98463 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Derive SCX_RQ_IN_WAKEUP from the core enqueue flags schedule_deferred_locked() skips scheduling a deferred action while SCX_RQ_IN_WAKEUP is set and relies on the task_woken_scx() call that follows a wakeup enqueue to run it. enqueue_task_scx() sets the flag from the merged enqueue flags, which include the flags stashed for a remote activation. move_remote_task_to_local_dsq() thus sets SCX_RQ_IN_WAKEUP on the destination rq when the moved task was woken up, although no task_woken_scx() follows that activation. An IMMED insert into a busy destination requests a local reenqueue during that enqueue. The request gets linked but not scheduled and stays pending until an unrelated wakeup or preemption on that CPU runs the deferred actions. The IMMED task sits behind the running task in the meantime. If nothing runs them before the scheduler is disabled, the request outlives the scheduler and points into its freed per-cpu area, which the next scheduler dereferences from run_deferred(). Test the core enqueue flags for the wakeup bit. Only the core's wakeup path is followed by task_woken_scx().

Oct 15, 2026FreeRDP from 3.29.0 before 3.32.0 contains an integer overflow in the Apple audin backends (audin_mac.m, audin_ios.m), which compute the audio queue buffer sizeCVE-2026-111380 · Other software · FreeRDP · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7
FreeRDP from 3.29.0 before 3.32.0 contains an integer overflow in the Apple audin backends (audin_mac.m, audin_ios.m), which compute the audio queue buffer size as FramesPerPacket * 2 * nChannels in UINT32 arithmetic, bypassing the CVE-2026-91962 fix. A malicious RDP server can send FramesPerPacket of 2^30 in the audin Open PDU to wrap the multiplication, causing undersized AudioQueueAllocateBuffer allocations and a heap out-of-bounds write in macOS and iOS clients.

Oct 15, 2026kqueue_fork_copy_knote() indexed into the child's file descriptor table using a knote's file descriptor number without a bounds check.CVE-2026-58100 · Other software · FreeBSD · reported by secteam@freebsd.orgHigh 7
kqueue_fork_copy_knote() indexed into the child's file descriptor table using a knote's file descriptor number without a bounds check. Because the child's table is copied before knotes are transferred, a concurrent thread in the parent could grow the parent's table and register knotes with file descriptor numbers beyond the end of the child's table, causing an out-of-bounds read. An unprivileged local user may be able to exploit these races to escalate privileges.

Oct 15, 2026When copying knotes from a parent kqueue to a child, the copy code did not correctly exclude marker knotes (used internally to track list traversal position) beCVE-2026-58099 · Other software · FreeBSD · reported by secteam@freebsd.orgHigh 7
When copying knotes from a parent kqueue to a child, the copy code did not correctly exclude marker knotes (used internally to track list traversal position) before marking them as in-flux and releasing the kqueue lock. If another thread freed a marker while the lock was dropped, the subsequent in-flux decrement operated on freed memory. An unprivileged local user may be able to exploit these races to escalate privileges.

Oct 14, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/efa: Keep admin queues alive while IRQ is registered The management IRQ handler accesCVE-2026-98430 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/efa: Keep admin queues alive while IRQ is registered The management IRQ handler accesses both the admin completion queue and the async event queue. The driver registered the IRQ before constructing these queues and destroyed them before freeing the IRQ, so the handler's lifetime was not contained by the resources it accesses. Initialize the queues with interrupts masked, request the IRQ, and then switch to interrupt mode. On removal, reset the device and free the IRQ before destroying the queues. Also reset the device before destroying the queues if IRQ registration fails, because the device already has their DMA addresses.

Oct 14, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: codel: bound the dropping loop per dequeue call The CoDel control law schedulesCVE-2026-98427 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: codel: bound the dropping loop per dequeue call The CoDel control law schedules the next drop one interval/sqrt(count) after the previous drop, using the configured interval (codel_params.interval). For very small intervals the scheduled step rounds down to zero, so the dropping loop in codel_dequeue() never advances and drains the entire backlog under the qdisc lock in one call - an unprivileged user can trigger a soft lockup this way. Fix in the shared codel code used by both codel and fq_codel: 1. Make the control-law step at least 1 tick so the dropping loop always moves forward. 2. Cap the dropping loop at CODEL_MAX_DROPS_PER_DEQUEUE (256) drops per codel_dequeue() call, resyncing drop_next to now when the cap is hit: the catch-up owed to the loop grows with the idle gap and the backlog, which no interval threshold can bound. This is a deliberate behaviour change after long idle gaps. The cap applies to fq_codel (4b549a2ef4be) and the mac80211 TXQ path (fixed interval, cap only). The target sojourn delay (codel_params.target) is not validated: it does not feed the control law,
