  • Oct 28, 2026Echo Knowledge Base – Documentation, FAQs, Chat & Smart Search: Reflected Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-101935 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.1

The Echo Knowledge Base – Documentation, FAQs, Chat & Smart Search plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'new_kb_config' parameter (specifically the article-mobile-break-point-v2 key, among other config keys interpolated into the <style> element) in versions up to, and including, 17.214.0 This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in EPKB_Frontend_Editor::fe_preview_config() and EPKB_Articles_Setup: on every knowledge base article page view, when the request supplies epkb_fe_reload_mode=on, an attacker-controlled JSON blob is merged over the stored KB configuration and several values are concatenated directly into a stylesheet emitted inside a literal <style> element without escaping (minify_css() does not strip <, > or /). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user (with Editor-level access or above, holding the manage_categories capability, or an Administrator) into performing an action such as clicking on a specially crafted link.

  • Oct 27, 2026### Summary `qs.stringify` with `allowEmptyArrays: true` writes the key of an empty array without encoding it, even though keys are encoded by default.CVE-2026-110910 · Other software · ljharb · reported by 7ffcee3d-2c14-4c3e-b844-86c6a321a158Medium 6.3

    ### Summary `qs.stringify` with `allowEmptyArrays: true` writes the key of an empty array without encoding it, even though keys are encoded by default. A key that contains `&` (or the configured `delimiter`), `=`, or `#` therefore becomes query string syntax instead of data, so a caller-supplied key name can add parameters to the serialized query string, or cut it short. ### Details In `lib/stringify.js`, the `allowEmptyArrays` branch returns `adjustedPrefix + '[]'` early, before the code that passes every other key through `encoder` and `formatter`. So `{ "x&k=v": ["1"] }` serializes as `x%26k%3Dv%5B0%5D=1`, but `{ "x&k=v": [] }` serializes as `x&k=v[]`. The early return applies at any depth (`{ "a": { "b&k=v": [] } }` gives `a[b&k=v][]`), under every `arrayFormat`, with `allowDots`, and with a custom `encoder`, which is never called for that key. With `encode: false` or `encodeValuesOnly: true`, keys are intentionally left unencoded on every path; those configurations are not affected. #### PoC ```js var qs = require("qs"); var query = qs.stringify({ q: "hi", "x&apiKey=evil&y": [] }, { allowEmptyArrays: true }); // "q=hi&x&apiKey=evil&y[]" qs.parse(quer

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxgb4/ch_ktls: disable softirqs around tid_list erases chcr_ktls_cpl_act_open_rpl() inserts into tid_list from the receive path using xa_insert_bh(). The array is shared by the adapter's connections and initialized with XA_FLAGS_LOCK_BH. However, chcr_ktls_dev_del() and the chcr_ktls_dev_add() error path use xa_erase(), which takes the XArray lock without disabling softirqs. When cleanup runs with softirqs enabled, a receive softirq for another connection on the same CPU can interrupt the erase and spin on the lock held by the interrupted task. Use xa_erase_bh() at both sites to match the insertion path.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: vgic: Take a refcount on IRQs referenced by last_lr_irq Referencing the last interrupt inserted in an LR is rather fragile, as this interrupt can vanish if a concurrently unmapped LPI. • Oct 14, 2026### Summary `qs.stringify` with `arrayFormat: 'comma'` throws `TypeError: Cannot convert object to primitive value` when an array element cannot be coerced tCVE-2026-110816 · Other software · ljharb · reported by 7ffcee3d-2c14-4c3e-b844-86c6a321a158Medium 6.3

    ### Summary `qs.stringify` with `arrayFormat: 'comma'` throws `TypeError: Cannot convert object to primitive value` when an array element cannot be coerced to a string, such as an object with an own non-callable `toString` (`{ "toString": "x" }`) or a null-prototype object. The comma format joins array elements with `Array.prototype.join` and, under `encodeValuesOnly`, first passes each element through `String()` in `utils.encode`; neither guards against an element whose string coercion fails. ### Details In `lib/stringify.js`, the comma branch collapses the array with `obj.join(',')`. For an element whose own `toString` is not callable, `ToPrimitive` skips it, falls through to `Object.prototype.valueOf` (which returns the object itself), and throws. Under `encodeValuesOnly: true`, the same element first reaches `String(str)` in `utils.encode` (`lib/utils.js`) and throws there. Nested arrays (`{ "a": [[{ "toString": "x" }]] }`) throw the same way, through `Array.prototype.toString`. The `indices`, `brackets`, and `repeat` formats walk into object elements instead of coercing them, and are not affected. Such elements can come from untrusted input. `JSON.parse` produces `

  • Oct 10, 2026Quiz and Survey Master (QSM) – Quiz Maker & Survey Maker: Stored DOM-Based Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-96558 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2

The Quiz and Survey Master (QSM) – Quiz Maker & Survey Maker plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored DOM-Based Cross-Site Scripting via the 'qsm_hidden_questions' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 11.2.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This requires the attacker to force the mlw_results INSERT to fail by submitting an over-length or duplicate qsm_unique_key value, which triggers the audit trail code branch that writes the unescaped payload to wp_mlw_qm_audit_trail.form_data.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: spi-qcom-qspi: Fix incomplete error handling in runtime PM The runtime PM functions had incomplete error handling that could leave the system in an inconsistent state. If any operation failed midway through suspend or resume, some resources would be left in the wrong state while others were already changed, leading to potential clock/power imbalances. Reorder the suspend/resume sequences to avoid brownout risk by ensuring the performance state is set appropriately before clocks are enabled and clocks are disabled before dropping the performance state. Fix by adding proper error checking for all operations and using goto-based cleanup to ensure all successfully acquired resources are properly released on any error.

  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio-fs: avoid double-free on failed queue setup virtio_fs_setup_vqs() allocates fs->vqsCVE-2026-93827 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.4

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio-fs: avoid double-free on failed queue setup virtio_fs_setup_vqs() allocates fs->vqs and fs->mq_map before calling virtio_find_vqs(). If virtio_find_vqs() fails, the error path frees both pointers and returns an error to virtio_fs_probe(). virtio_fs_probe() then drops the last kobject reference, and virtio_fs_ktype_release() frees fs->vqs and fs->mq_map again. This leaves dangling pointers in struct virtio_fs and can trigger a double-free during probe failure cleanup. Set fs->vqs and fs->mq_map to NULL immediately after kfree() in the virtio_fs_setup_vqs() error path so that the later kobject release sees an uninitialized state and kfree(NULL) becomes harmless. This can be reproduced when a broken virtio-fs device advertises more request queues than the transport actually provides. In that case virtio_find_vqs() fails while setting up the extra queue, and the probe path reaches the double-free cleanup sequence.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: coresight: etm4x: fix underflow for usage of (nrseqstate - 1) According to IHI006H Embedded Trace Macrocell Architecture Specification[0], TRCSEQEVR<n> is implemented only when TRCIDR5.NUMSEQSTATE is 0b100, in which case n ranges from 0 to 2; otherwise, TRCIDR5.NUMSEQSTATE is 0b000. IOW, the number of usage in the initialisation or setting TRCSEQEVR<n> with drvdata->nrseqstate - 1 in the loop could make underflow issue when TRCIDR5.NUMSEQSTATE is 0b000. Therefore, introduce nr_seq_ctrls field and untie it from nrseqstate. As part of this introduce ETM_MAX_SEQ_TRANSITIONS macro and apply nr_seq_ctrls and above macro to TRCSEQEVR<n> relevant fields setup.

  • Sep 16, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: midi2: Fix null-pointer dereference in f_midi2_free_ep_reqs A null-pointer deCVE-2026-90024 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: midi2: Fix null-pointer dereference in f_midi2_free_ep_reqs A null-pointer dereference occurs in f_midi2_free_ep_reqs() when attempting to clean up an endpoint that was never initialized. When configuring the MIDI 2.0 gadget via configfs and setting the block direction to SNDRV_UMP_DIR_INPUT, the initialization of the midi1_ep_out endpoint is explicitly skipped during the gadget bind phase (f_midi2_bind()). As a result, the usb_ep->card field remains NULL. Later, when the host sets the alternate setting, f_midi2_set_alt() unconditionally stops both the IN and OUT endpoints by calling f_midi2_stop_eps(), which in turn calls f_midi2_free_ep_reqs() for both endpoints. When f_midi2_free_ep_reqs() is called for the uninitialized midi1_ep_out, it attempts to dereference usb_ep->card to determine the number of requests to free, leading to a crash. Fix this by using usb_ep->num_reqs instead of usb_ep->card->info.num_reqs in f_midi2_free_ep_reqs(). usb_ep->num_reqs is correctly set during f_midi2_init_ep() and remains 0 if the endpoint was never initialized, safely avoiding the loop. • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: widen nfsd_genl_rqstp address fields to sockaddr_storage struct nfsd_genl_rqstp declCVE-2026-89698 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: widen nfsd_genl_rqstp address fields to sockaddr_storage struct nfsd_genl_rqstp declares rq_daddr and rq_saddr as plain "struct sockaddr" (16 bytes). When an IPv6 NFS client is connected, nfsd_genl_rpc_status_compose_msg() casts these fields to "struct sockaddr_in6 *" (28 bytes) and reads sin6_addr at offset 8..24, which extends 8 bytes past the end of the 16-byte sockaddr field into the adjacent rq_flags member. The 16-byte nla_put_in6_addr then ships 8 bytes of truncated IPv6 address followed by 8 bytes of rq_flags to userspace via the NFSD_A_RPC_STATUS_SADDR6/DADDR6 netlink attributes. This is reachable by any unprivileged process in the network namespace because NFSD_CMD_RPC_STATUS_GET uses GENL_CMD_CAP_DUMP without GENL_ADMIN_PERM. Fix by widening rq_daddr and rq_saddr to struct sockaddr_storage so the IPv6 casts operate within bounds, copying sizeof(struct sockaddr_storage) bytes in the memcpy calls so the full address is captured, and zero-initializing the genl_rqstp stack variable to prevent leaking uninitialized tail bytes through netlink.

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sunrpc: defer rq_argp and rq_resp free until after RCU grace period svc_rqst_free() frees CVE-2026-89545 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sunrpc: defer rq_argp and rq_resp free until after RCU grace period svc_rqst_free() frees rqstp->rq_argp and rqstp->rq_resp synchronously via kfree(), but defers the rqstp struct free via kfree_rcu(). After svc_exit_thread() calls list_del_rcu() and svc_rqst_free(), there is a window where RCU readers that started before list_del_rcu() can still traverse the thread list and find the rqstp. These readers (e.g. nfsd_nl_rpc_status_get_dumpit()) dereference rqstp->rq_argp, which has already been freed — a use-after-free. Fix this by moving the kfree of rq_argp and rq_resp into an explicit call_rcu() callback alongside the struct free. Resources not accessed by RCU readers (bvec, buffer pages, scratch folio, auth_data) remain synchronously freed.

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI: plda: Fix use-after-free of event IRQs during teardown plda_pcie_irq_domain_deinit() CVE-2026-89455 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI: plda: Fix use-after-free of event IRQs during teardown plda_pcie_irq_domain_deinit() removes pcie->event_domain via irq_domain_remove(), but the per-event IRQs mapped from that domain are requested with devm_request_irq() in plda_init_interrupts(). The actual free_irq() for a devm-managed IRQ is deferred by devres until after the calling probe()/remove() function returns. This means irq_domain_remove() can free the domain's internal data before the deferred free_irq() for IRQs still mapped into it has run. When devres later processes that deferred cleanup, it can end up dereferencing the already-freed domain. Free each event IRQ explicitly with devm_free_irq() before removing the domain. This triggers the free immediately and removes the IRQ from the devres tracking list, so devres will not attempt to free it a second time later. Also dispose of the event, INTx, and MSI IRQ mappings with irq_dispose_mapping() before their owning domains are removed. Finally, guard the calls to irq_set_chained_handler_and_data() for pcie->irq, pcie->msi_irq, and pcie->intx_irq so they only run when those fields hold a val

    ### Summary When `qs.parse` is called with `comma: true` and `throwOnLimitExceeded: true`, a comma-separated value under a bracket-push key (`a[]=1,2,3,4`) is split into an array without being compared against `arrayLimit`, while the same value under a flat key (`a=1,2,3,4`), an indexed key (`a[0]=`), a nested key (`a[b]=`), or a dotted key (`a.b=` with `allowDots`) throws the documented `RangeError`. A single parameter such as `a[]=1,2,2,...` therefore produces an inner array of arbitrary length even though the caller opted into the hard limit. This is the `[]=` key form that the fix for CVE-2026-2391 (qs 6.14.2) did not cover. ### Details In `lib/parse.js`, a comma-separated value under a `[]=` key is split and then wrapped as a single nested element (`val = [val]`, so that each `a[]=x,y` group counts as one element of the outer array). The `arrayLimit` check that 6.14.2 added for comma values runs after that wrap, so for `[]=` parts it only ever saw the wrapper of length 1. 6.15.3 added a pre-split comma count so that an oversized value throws before it is allocated, but gated it on an `isFlatArrayValue` flag that `parseValues` set to `false` for any part containing `[]

    ### Summary `qs.stringify` throws a `TypeError` when it serializes an object whose own `constructor` property has a truthy, non-callable `isBuffer` member. `utils.isBuffer` duck-types buffers by calling `obj.constructor.isBuffer(obj)` after checking only that the property is truthy, so a value such as `{ constructor: { isBuffer: "x" } }` makes the call throw `TypeError: obj.constructor.isBuffer is not a function`. ### Details `lib/stringify.js:127` calls `utils.isBuffer` on every non-primitive value it serializes. `utils.isBuffer` (`lib/utils.js:332`) reads `obj.constructor.isBuffer` and invokes it without verifying that it is a function. `constructor` and `isBuffer` are ordinary property names, so any object carrying them as own properties reaches the unchecked call. Such an object can be built from untrusted input. `qs.parse("x[constructor][isBuffer]=y", { plainObjects: true })` or `{ allowPrototypes: true }` keeps the `constructor` key as an own property (the default parse options drop it), and `JSON.parse("{\"a\":{\"constructor\":{\"isBuffer\":\"x\"}}}")` produces the same shape with no qs option involved. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: rqspinlock: Reset tail when preserving queue on deadlock Currently, the destruction of the waiter queue is suppressed for rqspinlock in cases where a deadlock is detected. Deadlock checks happen relatively frequently (on entry for AA, within 1ms for ABBA), and waiter threads may not be involved in locking scenarios involving deadlocks. Thus, it is useful to not flush the queue and let other waiters take a stab at acquiring the lock after we detect a deadlock and exit. However, we need to follow the same logic as what we did previously for the waitq_timeout label: reset the tail, and if we cannot, signal the next waiter appropriately. In case of deadlocks, this signal would just mark the MCS node as unlocked, and in case of timeouts, it would signal RES_TIMEOUT_VAL. The difference thus is in the value propagated, which decides whether the queue remains active or gets flushed. Not doing the tail reset, and waiting for the next waiter can lead to cases where we are the final waiter, and thus no next waiter arrives, leading to intermittent stalls in this path. Once the next waiter does join, we will be unblocked. I

A peer that sends a well-formed reply carrying an unknown XID and an inflated credit grant therefore drives rep allocation and Receive posting past re_max_requests on every such reply. Move the clamp to immediately after the credit field is parsed, ahead of the first branch that can reach out_post, so every later consumer sees a sanitized value. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sunrpc: harden rq_procinfo lifecycle to prevent double-free The svc_release_rqst() function executes the callback inside rqstp->rq_procinfo->pc_release. However, if a worker thread begins processing a new request and encounters an early error path (e.g., unsupported protocol, short frame, or bad auth) before a valid rq_procinfo is installed, a stale release hook can be re-triggered against reused state from the previous RPC, resulting in a double-free or use-after-free vulnerability. Harden the lifecycle of rq_procinfo by: 1. Ensuring svc_release_rqst() always clears rq_procinfo after the optional pc_release() call, regardless of whether the hook exists. 2. Explicitly clearing rq_procinfo at request entry in svc_process() before any early decode or drop paths. 3. Ensuring svc_process_bc() does the same at backchannel entry. This guarantees that error flows will not encounter a non-NULL stale rq_procinfo pointer when there is nothing to release.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: prevent tstamp ring allocation for non-PF VSI types The pf->txtime_txqs bitmap tracks which Tx queues have ETF (Earliest TxTime First) offload enabled. This bitmap is indexed by queue number and is set by ice_offload_txtime(), which only operates on PF VSI queues. However, ice_is_txtime_ena() does not check the VSI type before consulting the bitmap. When ETF offload is enabled on PF Tx queue 0, bit 0 is set in pf->txtime_txqs. During a subsequent PCI reset rebuild, the CTRL VSI's Tx queue 0 is reconfigured and ice_is_txtime_ena() is called for that ring. Since it only checks pf->txtime_txqs by queue index without distinguishing VSI type, it finds bit 0 set and returns true, matching the PF VSI's ETF queue, not the CTRL VSI's. This causes ice_vsi_cfg_txq() to spuriously allocate a tstamp_ring for the CTRL VSI ring. Since CTRL VSI rings have no associated netdev, ice_clean_tx_ring() takes an early return at the !netdev check before reaching ice_free_tx_tstamp_ring(), leaking the allocation. Each PCI reset leaks one 64-byte tstamp_ring. Fix this by restricting ice_is_txtime_ena() to return true only for PF V
