  • Oct 21, 2026In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.4, a user that holds a role with the preview_data_management_pipeline capability or edit_data_management_pipeline_job cCVE-2026-76287 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 5.4

In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.4, a user that holds a role with the preview_data_management_pipeline capability or edit_data_management_pipeline_job capability could read or delete Data Management SPL2 preview jobs and results outside their ownership scope. The vulnerability is possible because the Data Management Representational State Transfer (REST) API verifies the required capability but does not verify that the requested preview job belongs to the requester. The affected Data Management REST API is available only when the Edge Processor feature is turned on. The Edge Processor feature is turned off by default. • Oct 8, 2026Malcolm's upload-processing pipeline (scripts/safe-extract.py) enforces entry-count, nesting-depth, and total-uncompressed-byte limits when extracting containerCVE-2026-107335 · Other software · CISA · reported by ics-cert@hq.dhs.govMedium 6.5

Malcolm's upload-processing pipeline (scripts/safe-extract.py) enforces entry-count, nesting-depth, and total-uncompressed-byte limits when extracting container archives (zip/tar/rar/7z via libarchive), but those limits are not applied when the uploaded file is a single-stream compressed format (.gz, .bz2, .xz, .lzma, .lz) that isn't a .tar.*-style archive. Any authenticated user permitted to upload PCAP/log files can upload a small, highly compressible file (e.g. a gzip bomb) that decompresses to an effectively unbounded size on disk, exhausting the shared Docker volume used by OpenSearch, Logstash, Arkime, and Zeek, and disrupting the platform for all users.

  • Sep 22, 2026Vector is a high-performance observability data pipeline.CVE-2026-77621 · Other software · vectordotdev · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3

Vector is a high-performance observability data pipeline. From 0.10.0 until 0.57.0, the file sink renders its templated path from event fields and opens the result without confining it to an intended directory. When an untrusted source supplies an event field used by the path template, the value can contain an absolute path or parent-directory traversal, causing Vector to create parent directories and create or overwrite files outside the intended location with the Vector process privileges. The resulting file write can modify sensitive files and can lead to code execution when a scheduled task, authorization file, or subsequently executed script is targeted. This issue is fixed in version 0.57.0.

  • Sep 22, 2026Vector is a high-performance observability data pipeline.CVE-2026-77620 · Other software · vectordotdev · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

Vector is a high-performance observability data pipeline. From 0.15.0 until 0.57.0, the logstash source feeds each decompressed frame back into its decoder without limiting nested compression depth. An unauthenticated remote peer that can reach the default 0.0.0.0:5044 listener can send many nested compressed frames, causing recursive decoding that exhausts the worker thread stack and aborts the process. The same nested construction amplifies decompressed input, and process termination can halt log ingestion for every tenant on a shared pipeline. This issue is fixed in version 0.57.0.

  • Sep 22, 2026Vector is a high-performance observability data pipeline.CVE-2026-77619 · Other software · vectordotdev · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

Vector is a high-performance observability data pipeline. From 0.15.0 until 0.57.0, the logstash source reads a 32-bit compressed-frame length from the network and uses it to size an in-memory buffer without an upper bound. An unauthenticated remote peer that can reach the default 0.0.0.0:5044 listener can send a minimal frame declaring a multi-gigabyte payload, causing an excessive allocation that can abort Vector or invoke the host OOM killer. Because the allocation follows the declared length rather than bytes transmitted, the attacker has low resource cost, and process termination can halt log ingestion for every tenant on a shared pipeline. This issue is fixed in version 0.57.0.

  • Sep 15, 2026Pipelines-as-Code is a CI/CD system that lets users define Tekton pipelines in source code repositories.CVE-2026-54168 · Other software · tektoncd · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

Pipelines-as-Code is a CI/CD system that lets users define Tekton pipelines in source code repositories. Prior to 0.37.8, 0.39.6, 0.42.1, and 0.48.0, a GitHub App installation token created during webhook processing is not scoped to the repository that triggered the event when the App is installed across multiple repositories. A user with push access to one repository can submit a PipelineRun containing a pipelinesascode.tekton.dev/task remote task annotation that targets a private repository in the same installation. When ScopeTokenToListOfRepos returns no explicit scope, the missing triggering repository ID leaves the token able to access the entire installation. Pipelines-as-Code resolves and inlines the remote private task with that token, disclosing the repository's Tekton definitions. The demonstrated impact is read-only and does not provide write access. This issue is fixed in versions 0.37.8, 0.39.6, 0.42.1, and 0.48.0.

Pipelines-as-Code is a CI/CD system that lets users define Tekton pipelines in source code repositories. Prior to 0.37.8, 0.39.6, 0.42.1, and 0.48.0, the GitHub App provider accepts X-GitHub-Enterprise-Host as the API host while processing webhook events containing an installation.id, before webhook signature validation or confirmation that the host matches the repository URL in the signed payload. An unauthenticated attacker who can reach the webhook endpoint can select an attacker-controlled host and cause the controller to send a locally signed GitHub App JWT to that service. The exposed JWT may be used to attempt to mint installation access tokens during its validity window, subject to the GitHub App installation and permissions. The incoming webhook installation-lookup path is also affected, but exploitation of that path requires the valid incoming webhook secret for the target Repository CR. This issue is fixed in versions 0.37.8, 0.39.6, 0.42.1, and 0.48.0.

  • Sep 15, 2026Nextflow is a DSL for data-driven computational pipelines.CVE-2026-48722 · Other software · nextflow-io · reported by GitHubMedium 5.5

Nextflow is a DSL for data-driven computational pipelines. From 25.09.2-edge until 25.10.6 and 26.04.3, nextflow auth login writes Seqera Platform OIDC bearer tokens to ${NXF_HOME:-~/.nextflow}/seqera-auth.config through AuthCommandImpl.writeConfig in plugins/nf-tower/src/main/io/seqera/tower/plugin/auth/AuthCommandImpl.groovy without setting restrictive file permissions, allowing the default umask 022 to create the file with mode 0644. On a multi-user POSIX host, a local user who can traverse the victim's home directory can read seqera-auth.config and impersonate the victim against Seqera Platform within the token's scope. • Sep 14, 2026blaze is a Scala library for building asynchronous pipelines, with a focus on network IO.CVE-2026-73494 · Other software · http4s · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4

blaze is a Scala library for building asynchronous pipelines, with a focus on network IO. Prior to 0.23.18 and from 1.0.0-M1 until 1.0.0-M42, five HTTP/1.1 conformance laxities in the hand-written Java parser under http/src/main/java/org/http4s/blaze/http/parser/ can cause blaze to derive a different request boundary than a stricter fronting intermediary. A default BlazeServerBuilder accepts invalid or valueless header field names that violate tchar syntax, obsolete folded field lines (obs-fold), unsupported Transfer-Encoding values, duplicate Content-Length fields, and requests containing both Transfer-Encoding and Content-Length. If a lenient or legacy proxy forwards the malformed bytes but interprets them differently, the disagreement can permit front-end authorization bypass, response-queue poisoning on pooled backend connections, or cache poisoning. Exploitation requires a pair of disagreeing parsers; no non-default blaze configuration is required. The affected checks are enforced in BodyAndHeaderParser and Http1ServerParser. This issue is fixed in versions 0.23.18 and 1.0.0-M42.

  • Sep 14, 2026Description The worker's Netty message decoder is installed ahead of the SASL authentication handlers in the pipeline and acts on frames before any authenticatCVE-2026-82435 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.8

Description The worker's Netty message decoder is installed ahead of the SASL authentication handlers in the pipeline and acts on frames before any authentication has taken place. It allocated buffers sized from a length field carried in the frame, so a single frame from an unauthenticated peer able to reach a worker slot port could drive a large allocation. `storm.messaging.netty.authentication` defaults to false, and the decoder runs before the handler that enforces it in any case, so no credentials are required. The attacker needs only TCP reachability to a worker port. The effect of a single frame at the default 768 MB worker heap has not been measured to distinguish sustained worker loss from transient garbage-collection pressure. The severity assigned to this advisory reflects the more conservative reading; consumers who require a precise figure should test against their own worker heap configuration. Mitigation Upgrade to 3.1.0, where frames are decoded only after the handshake completes. Users who cannot upgrade immediately should ensure that worker slot ports are reachable only from within the cluster, as the security model already recommends, and should enable `stor

melange allows users to build apk packages using declarative pipelines. Apko prior to version 1.2.9, corresponding to melange prior to version 0.50.4, verified the control section hash (`.PKGINFO` etc.) against the signed `APKINDEX`, but never verified the data section hash (the actual package files that get installed). • Sep 10, 2026An authorization bypass vulnerability exists in the Countly Server DBViewer due to flawed sub-pipeline detection in the aggregation stage sanitizer.CVE-2026-87803 · Other software · Countly · reported by report@snyk.ioHigh 7.1

An authorization bypass vulnerability exists in the Countly Server DBViewer due to flawed sub-pipeline detection in the aggregation stage sanitizer. The /o/db aggregation endpoint parses user-controlled aggregation JSON and passes it through a stage sanitizer that determines whether a nested array is a sub-pipeline by checking if every element contains a key present in a hardcoded KNOWN_STAGE_OPERATORS set. If any element contains an unrecognized stage key, such as the undocumented MongoDB-internal $_internalInhibitOptimization, the sanitizer misclassifies the entire branch as a generic array and skips stage-level stripping for all sibling stages. This allows a non-admin user with DBViewer read permission to inject forbidden operators like $lookup inside $facet sub-pipelines, performing cross-collection joins into restricted collections. This leads to unauthorized read access to sensitive data including password-reset tokens (prid), enabling account takeover.

  • Aug 28, 2026Kubeflow Pipelines enables users to build and deploy portable, scalable machine learning workflows.CVE-2026-54745 · Other software · kubeflow · reported by GitHubCritical 10

Kubeflow Pipelines enables users to build and deploy portable, scalable machine learning workflows. Prior to 2.17.0, the Kubeflow Pipelines frontend exposes an unauthenticated server-side request forgery vulnerability through the /_proxy/ route in frontend/server/proxy-middleware.ts. The _routePathWithReferer() function accepts an arbitrary attacker-controlled HTTP or HTTPS target and passes its origin to createProxyMiddleware without a host allowlist or filtering for loopback, link-local, RFC1918, or cluster-local addresses. The route remains outside the authorization middleware when ENABLE_AUTHZ=true and is reachable through /apis/v1beta1/_proxy/, /apis/v2beta1/_proxy/, /pipeline/apis/v1beta1/_proxy/, and /pipeline/apis/v2beta1/_proxy/, including through a crafted Referer header. Requests can forward attacker-controlled methods, headers such as Authorization, Cookie, and X-Forwarded-For, and POST bodies to reachable internal services, while returning the upstream response to the unauthenticated client. This can expose cloud metadata credentials, Kubernetes or service APIs, and other cluster-internal endpoints to unauthorized read or modification. This issue is fixed in version 2.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: SOF: ipc4-pcm: Continue the pipeline trigger in case of IPC timeout Ignore IPC errors for pipeline state change if the firmware state is crashed or the IPC has timed out. If the firmware has crashed the kernel still needs to go through the state changes to reset its internal to be able to correctly work the next time the DSP is booted up. The case with IPC timeout is a bit more problematic, but it has been rootcaused to be the result of system scheduling blockage and the firmware did actually received and handled the message, but the reply handling got blocked by issues outside of the SOF stack. So far the best way to handle this is to continue with setting the state.

  • Aug 18, 2026Hugo 0.161.0 placed the Node asset pipelines behind the Node.js permission model so that code running through PostCSS, Babel, or TailwindCSS could not reach theCVE-2026-75926 · Other software · gohugoio · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.3

Hugo 0.161.0 placed the Node asset pipelines behind the Node.js permission model so that code running through PostCSS, Babel, or TailwindCSS could not reach the file system outside the project directory. Hugo 0.162.0 added tailwindcss to the AllowChildProcess default in config/security/securityConfig.go, which makes nodePermissionArgs in common/hexec/exec.go append --allow-child-process whenever the tool being launched is named tailwindcss. TailwindCSS loads the site's tailwind.config.js through require at startup, so top-level code in that file executes inside the permitted Node process and can call child_process to spawn a shell. The spawned process is not a Node process and inherits none of the permission flags, so it runs with the full privileges of the account performing the build. Building a site whose theme, module, or starter template supplies the Tailwind configuration therefore yields arbitrary command execution rather than the confined file access the permission model was introduced to enforce. Hugo 0.165.0 removes tailwindcss from the default security.exec.allow list, so the tool is no longer launched under the default configuration.

  • Aug 12, 2026blaze is a Scala library for building asynchronous pipelines, with a focus on network IO.CVE-2026-73495 · Other software · http4s · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4

blaze is a Scala library for building asynchronous pipelines, with a focus on network IO. Prior to 0.23.18 and 1.0.0-M42, blaze-server can merge HTTP/1.1 chunked-body trailer fields into Request.headers. Because trailer fields are attacker-controlled, an unauthenticated remote client can inject arbitrary header names and values, including X-Forwarded-For and internal authorization headers, that a fronting proxy sanitized from the request-header section, bypassing header-based trust decisions in the application. Any http4s application using BlazeServerBuilder over HTTP/1.1 whose routes or middleware trust proxy-set headers, including X-Forwarded-For, X-Real-IP, and X-Forwarded-Host, is affected. If a fronting proxy strips or normalizes those headers but forwards chunked bodies with trailers intact, an attacker can spoof client IP for allow-lists, rate limits, or auditing, forge the https scheme, or inject internal authorization headers. A promoted Connection: close trailer is also honored, allowing attacker-controlled termination of pooled backend connections. This issue is fixed in versions 0.23.18 and 1.0.0-M42.

A flaw was found in Data Science Pipelines (DSP). An attacker with namespace editor privileges can bypass security hardening by submitting a malicious Argo Workflow through the V1 API path. This allows the API server to create pods with elevated privileges, acting as a 'confused deputy' on behalf of the attacker. Successful exploitation grants the attacker node-root access, enabling arbitrary code execution and full control over the underlying node.

A flaw was found in Data Science Pipelines. A restricted user, or tenant, can exploit an improper authorization vulnerability in the setDefaultServiceAccount function. By specifying a more privileged ServiceAccount (SA) during a CreateRun request, an attacker can bypass authorization checks. This allows the tenant to run their containers with elevated privileges, potentially leading to the disclosure of sensitive information (secrets) and the ability to execute commands within other users' pods.

A flaw was found in the Data Science Pipelines Operator (DSPO). A namespace editor can exploit a vulnerability in the spec.database.customExtraParams field, which allows for the injection of dangerous parameters into the MySQL Data Source Name (DSN) string. By manipulating these parameters, an attacker can enable LOCAL INFILE functionality and exfiltrate sensitive files, such as the service account token, from the operator pod. This can lead to privilege escalation, allowing a namespace editor to gain cluster-admin privileges.

A flaw was found in the Data Science Pipelines Operator. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to derive sensitive credentials, such as MariaDB root/user passwords and MinIO access/secret keys, if they can access the MinIO Route or MariaDB Service. The flaw occurs because the operator uses a cryptographically weak pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) to generate these credentials, making them predictable. Successful exploitation could lead to unauthorized access to all pipeline artifacts and metadata, resulting in significant information disclosure.
