  • Oct 9, 2026dynamic_object_create() in kernel/userspace/userspace.c computed the backing allocation for a dynamically allocated kernel object as obj_size_get(otype) + size,CVE-2026-19569 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 8.8

    dynamic_object_create() in kernel/userspace/userspace.c computed the backing allocation for a dynamically allocated kernel object as obj_size_get(otype) + size, and for thread stack elements as STACK_ELEMENT_DATA_SIZE(size) (a round-up plus fixed overhead), without checking either expression for unsigned wrap-around. A size close to SIZE_MAX makes the computed total wrap to a very small value, so the heap chunk handed out is a few bytes while the object descriptor is still tagged with the full requested type and registered in the kernel object table. The size argument reaches that arithmetic directly from user mode. k_object_alloc_size() is declared __syscall in include/zephyr/sys/kobject.h, its verifier z_vrfy_k_object_alloc_size() in kernel/userspace/userspace_handler.c is a bare pass-through, and z_object_alloc() only range-checks otype — nothing bounds size. The stack-element branch is additionally reachable through the k_thread_stack_alloc() syscall via kernel/dynamic.c. Because subsequent kernel-object validation checks only the object's type and initialization state, the undersized handle passes K_SYSCALL_OBJ_INIT()/K_SYSCALL_OBJ_NEVER_INIT(), and the matching init syscall

    Improperly Controlled Modification of Dynamically-Determined Object Attributes vulnerability in ash-project ash allows a user to set the value of a private action argument on the bulk destroy and bulk update paths. Action arguments declared with public?: false are meant to be set only by trusted server-side code (for example via Ash.Changeset.set_private_argument/3) and must not be settable from end-user input. CVE-2026-55736 fixed the non-bulk changeset path to strip private arguments from user-supplied parameter maps, but the bulk destroy and bulk update paths were not covered. Ash.Actions.Destroy.Bulk.base_changeset/5 and Ash.Actions.Update.Bulk.base_changeset/5 match every key in the caller-supplied parameter map against all of the action's arguments with no public? check, then apply the matches to the base changeset. A caller who can submit parameters to a bulk destroy or bulk update action (for example through AshJsonApi, AshGraphql, or a controller that forwards request parameters to Ash.bulk_destroy/4 or Ash.bulk_update/4) can therefore set any private argument of that action, including one referenced by an arg(...) template in the action's changes or validations. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: dat: atomically update mac addresses When a MAC address is updated in batadv_dat_entry_add(), it is done using a simple copy function. A parallel reader might only see parts of this update. In worst case, the reader is transporting the half updated MAC address over the network or is creating an ARP response using it - poisoning the ARP cache. atomic64_t can be used to store the 48 bit of a mac address. A reader will then either see the old mac address or the new one - never a mixture of both.

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: chemical: atlas-sensor: use iio_trigger_poll_nested() to fix remove UAF The atlas driver requests its hardware data-ready IRQ with devm_request_threaded_irq(); its threaded handler queues an irq_work, atlas_work_handler(), that calls iio_trigger_poll(data->trig). The IRQ is devm-managed, so free_irq() runs from the devres unwind after atlas_remove() returns without flushing that irq_work. Once a buffer is enabled, conversion-complete IRQs keep firing and queueing it; a pending irq_work can therefore run after the unwind has freed atlas_data/indio_dev and the trigger, when atlas_work_handler() derives the atlas_data pointer via container_of() and dereferences data->trig, a use-after-free. Call iio_trigger_poll_nested() directly from the threaded handler instead of bouncing through irq_work. free_irq() then drains the threaded handler, closing the window; other iio drivers with a threaded data-ready IRQ do the same (e.g. bmi270). This issue was found by an in-house static analysis tool.

    MCPHub is a unified hub for centrally managing and dynamically orchestrating multiple MCP servers/APIs into separate endpoints with flexible routing strategies. Prior to version 1.0.30, MCPHub scopes non-admin users to servers they own (list views and config edits enforce ownership), but the tool-execution API does not. Any authenticated non-admin user can invoke tools on MCP servers owned by other users — servers they cannot even see in GET /api/servers. Because connected MCP servers carry real capability (filesystem, HTTP fetch, cloud APIs with the owner's keys), this is cross-tenant compromise: demonstrated arbitrary host file read (/etc/passwd, another user's secrets) and SSRF. This issue has been patched in version 1.0.30.

    MCPHub is a unified hub for centrally managing and dynamically orchestrating multiple MCP servers/APIs into separate endpoints with flexible routing strategies. Prior to version 1.0.32, MCPHub's SSRF guard in src/utils/ssrf.ts uses a custom isBlockedIpv6 function that only checks for loopback, link-local, unique-local, IPv4-mapped, and IPv4-compatible IPv6 addresses. IPv6 transition address families -- NAT64 (64:ff9b::/96), 6to4 (2002::/16), and Teredo (2001::/32) -- are not checked. An attacker who can specify a URL for an MCP server connection can encode a private IPv4 address inside one of these IPv6 forms to bypass the SSRF guard and reach internal infrastructure. MCPHub is a unified hub for centrally managing and dynamically orchestrating multiple MCP servers/APIs into separate endpoints with flexible routing strategies. Prior to version 0.12.15, the POST /api/servers and PUT /api/servers/:name endpoints in MCPHub create/update MCP server configurations and then immediately spawn the configured stdio process via child_process.spawn. Authentication is required, but there is no authorization check restricting these endpoints to admins, and there is no allowlist/sanitization on the command and args fields. As a result, any authenticated non-admin user can submit a server configuration with command:"/bin/sh" (or any other binary) and arbitrary args, causing MCPHub to execute the attacker-controlled process as the MCPHub server's OS user (commonly root in the published Docker image and in npx/systemd deployments). Prior to version 1.0.31, when a bearer key with accessType: 'servers' (or 'custom') is used against a group route, isBearerKeyAllowedForRequest grants access to the entire group as long as any single server in that group appears in the key's allowedServers list — not only when every server the key is scoped to matches, and critically, without ever re-checking allowedServers again once the group-level connection is authorized. A key explicitly scoped to one specific server therefore also grants full access to every other server that happens to share a group with it, including servers the key was never authorized for. MCPHub is a unified hub for centrally managing and dynamically orchestrating multiple MCP servers/APIs into separate endpoints with flexible routing strategies. Prior to version 1.0.32, the built-in prompt and resource controllers perform no role checking. The mutating POST/PUT /api/prompts* and POST/PUT /api/resources* routes are attached to the authenticated router with no admin gate, and the handlers never read req.user. The DAO singletons they write are consulted first — ahead of any connected MCP server — for every session in handleGetPromptRequest / handleReadResourceRequest. A non-admin can therefore create, overwrite, and shadow global prompt templates and resources that all other users are served. The scored impact is the unauthorized integrity violation (creation/tampering/shadowing of globally-served records); stored prompt injection into other users' LLM sessions is a downstream consequence of that tampering. This issue has been patched in version 1.0.32.

    Improperly Controlled Modification of Dynamically-Determined Object Attributes vulnerability in ash-project ash_oban allows a user whose input reaches the :args option of AshOban.build_trigger/3 to retarget an update or destroy trigger at another record, including across tenants. build_trigger/3 builds the trusted job arguments with atom keys (:primary_key, :tenant, :action_arguments) and merges the caller's :args underneath so the trusted values win on collision. Because Oban job arguments round-trip through JSON, the caller's keys arrive as strings, so Map.merge sees no collision and both keys survive. When the job is persisted the JSON object is de-duplicated keeping the last (string) key, and the worker reads the caller's value. The documentation describes :args as unable to affect the action, so an application that forwards user input into it for uniqueness scoping is exposed to authorization bypass and tenant isolation breaks. This issue affects ash_oban: from 0.2.5 before 0.8.14.

    cJSON through 1.7.19 applies RFC 6902 JSON Patch operations non-atomically in apply_patch() in cJSON_Utils.c. For a replace operation that is missing its value member, or a move operation whose destination path cannot be resolved, the existing target member is detached and deleted before the operation is fully validated, so the target document is mutated while cJSONUtils_ApplyPatches() or cJSONUtils_ApplyPatchesCaseSensitive() returns a failure status. An attacker who can supply the patch document can destroy addressable members of the target document even though the API reports that the patch failed, defeating the all-or-nothing behavior callers rely on to reject bad patches.

Create new macros for bit manipulation in combination with manual bit manipulation being replaced with FIELD_GET(). The current variable declaration and initializations are barely readable and use comma separations across multiple lines. Refactor the initializations so that mantissa and exp have separate declarations and sign gets initialized later. In addition (and due to the nature of the cleanup), fix a sign-extension bug where, float32 would get bitwise anded with ~BIT(31) (which is 0xFFFFFFFF7FFFFFFF) which corrupted the exponent.

  • Jul 18, 2026uproot dynamically generates Python class source code from ROOT TStreamerInfo records in a file and compiles it at runtime.CVE-2026-9147 · Other software · scikit-hep · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.5

    uproot dynamically generates Python class source code from ROOT TStreamerInfo records in a file and compiles it at runtime. Some file-controlled streamer metadata fields (for example, streamer element names) are interpolated into the generated Python source without safe quoting via repr() or the !r format specifier. An attacker who can supply a crafted ROOT file can place Python expression-breaking content into a streamer metadata field. When uproot generates and invokes the corresponding reader method, the injected Python expression is evaluated in the context of the process opening the file, resulting in arbitrary Python code execution in applications that open or process attacker-controlled ROOT files with affected uproot code paths.

    Zephyr's dynamic kernel-object tracking (kernel/userspace/userspace.c, formerly kernel/userspace.c) maintains a doubly-linked list (obj_list) of dynamically allocated kernel objects. Iteration over this list in k_object_wordlist_foreach() was performed under lists_lock using the SAFE iterator (which caches the next node), but list removal and freeing of nodes was performed under different, disjoint spinlocks: objfree_lock in k_object_free() and obj_lock in unref_check(). On an SMP system, while one CPU iterated obj_list under lists_lock, another CPU could unlink and k_free() the dyn_obj node that the iterator had cached as its next pointer, causing the iterator to dereference freed kernel memory (use-after-free / dangling list traversal). All of the racing operations are reachable from unprivileged user-mode threads via system calls: k_object_alloc/k_object_alloc_size and k_object_release drive removals through unref_check() (under obj_lock), while k_thread_abort and thread creation drive the iteration through k_thread_perms_all_clear()/k_thread_perms_inherit() (under lists_lock). A deprivileged user thread on a CONFIG_SMP + CONFIG_USERSPACE build can therefore corrupt the kernel's
