  • Oct 26, 2026Insufficient Session Expiration vulnerability in Apache Camel Keycloak component.CVE-2026-95663 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 4.8

Insufficient Session Expiration vulnerability in Apache Camel Keycloak component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.16.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.2. When token introspection is enabled on the camel-keycloak KeycloakSecurityPolicy (useTokenIntrospection=true), the security processor validates the access token of a request by sending it to Keycloak's OAuth 2.0 token introspection endpoint, and accepts the token while the response reports it as active. The introspection endpoint reports a token as inactive once its exp (expiration) time has passed, so on this path the active flag is what enforces token expiry. Introspection results are cached by default (introspectionCacheEnabled=true, introspectionCacheTtl=60 seconds), and both cache implementations shipped with the component, ConcurrentMapTokenCache and CaffeineTokenCache, expired an entry a fixed time after it was inserted, without bounding that lifetime by the exp claim that the cached response already carried. KeycloakSecurityProcessor in turn checked only the active flag of the result, on every path that uses introspection, and never compared exp with the current time. A response cached shortly before t

  • Oct 19, 2026Improper Authentication vulnerability in Apache Camel Keycloak component.CVE-2026-85301 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 4.8

Improper Authentication vulnerability in Apache Camel Keycloak component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.15.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1. The security processor validated the issuer of an introspected token only when the introspection response actually carried an iss claim. When the claim was absent the check was skipped rather than treated as a failure, so a token that the configured issuer did not mint could be accepted provided the introspection endpoint answered without naming an issuer. Reaching this requires an introspection endpoint that omits iss and accepts tokens from more than one issuer, which is not the default Keycloak arrangement, hence the low severity; where that arrangement exists the consequence is that the deployment authenticates a caller it should have rejected. Upgrade to Apache Camel 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. Users on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.18.5. Users on the 4.22.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.22.1. An absent iss claim is now treated as a validation failure rather than as a reason to skip the check. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, ensure the introspection endpoint retu

The Apache Airflow Keycloak auth manager did not end the session on logout: the logout route revoked the presented token, but `KeycloakJWTMiddleware` then issued a new, unrevoked token on the same response, so the user stayed logged in. Deployments using the Keycloak auth manager are affected: after a user logs out, anyone with later access to the same browser (for example on a shared workstation) can continue to act as that user. A flaw was found in the Dynamic Client Registration flow of the Keycloak identity and access management server. The issue occurs because the registration process fails to filter security-sensitive client attributes when a new client is created. An attacker with a valid Initial Access Token can register a client that bypasses audience checks during token introspection. This allows the attacker to view sensitive identity information, roles, and session details from access tokens belonging to other applications in the same realm.

A flaw was found in the User Session Note mapper of the Keycloak identity and access management solution. The issue occurs because the mapper does not validate whether a requested session note contains sensitive internal credentials, such as federated access tokens from external identity providers. This allows a delegated client administrator to leak a user's upstream bearer tokens into the tokens issued to their managed application, potentially leading to unauthorized access to the user's data on external platforms.

A flaw was found in the Fine-Grained Admin Permissions (FGAP v2) feature of Keycloak, an identity and access management solution. The issue occurs when the system checks if a delegated administrator has permission to assign a specific role to a user. Because the check does not look inside composite roles to see what other permissions they contain, an administrator with limited rights can assign a role that secretly includes full administrative control. This allows the attacker to gain complete management access over the entire realm.

A flaw was found in the Pushed Authorization Request PAR implementation of Keycloak. The issue occurs when the silent authentication path prompt=none is used, which allows the authorization process to skip certain steps if a user is already logged in. Due to this bypass, the security rule that ensures a pushed request URI is used only once is not enforced. An attacker could potentially reuse a request URI to obtain multiple authorization codes for a user who is already signed in, violating security standards like FAPI-2.

An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this by sending repeated malformed SAML requests, leading to native memory exhaustion and a denial of service.

  • Sep 16, 2026Apache Airflow Keycloak provider: the unauthenticated token endpoint accepts a client-credentials grant for any confidential client registered in the Keycloak rCVE-2026-76187 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.8

Apache Airflow Keycloak provider: the unauthenticated token endpoint accepts a client-credentials grant for any confidential client registered in the Keycloak realm, not only the client configured for Airflow. No allowlist restricts which client ids may authenticate, so the credentials of an unrelated application that happens to share the realm are valid Airflow login credentials, and Airflow mints a signed session token for that application's service account. The endpoint also answers unauthenticated credential guesses against Keycloak under Airflow's identity. Affects deployments using the Keycloak auth manager whose realm is shared with other confidential clients. The attacker needs valid credentials for any one of those clients, not for Airflow. Resource authorization is still evaluated per subject, so the access gained is whatever that service account holds, plus any endpoint gated only on being authenticated. Users of apache-airflow-providers-keycloak are recommended to upgrade to version 0.10.0 or later, which accepts only the configured client on that grant.

Apache Airflow Keycloak provider: from Airflow 3.3 the Keycloak auth manager takes a user's identity from the signed Airflow session token but takes the Keycloak access and refresh tokens used for every authorization decision from separate, unauthenticated cookies, and never checks that the two describe the same subject. A user who holds any valid Airflow login of their own, together with another subject's Keycloak access or refresh token obtained out of band, can pair the two: Airflow then authorizes requests with the foreign token's privileges while the session identity, audit log and cache keys continue to name the attacker's own account. The refresh path re-issues an Airflow session token for the original identity carrying the foreign tokens, so the mismatched pairing survives across sessions. Affects deployments running Airflow 3.3 or later with the Keycloak auth manager. Earlier versions carried the Keycloak tokens inside the signed session token, so the binding existed and was lost when they moved into separate cookies. Users of apache-airflow-providers-keycloak are recommended to upgrade to version 0.10.0 or later, which binds the cookie-supplied tokens to the session ide

  • Sep 16, 2026A flaw was found in the first broker login flow of Keycloak.CVE-2026-92358 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.4

A flaw was found in the first broker login flow of Keycloak. When a user confirms an account-linking request from a different browser, a temporary proof is created to validate the link. However, this proof is not properly cleared after the link is established or when the user later manually removes the link. An attacker who controls the external identity can exploit this leftover proof to silently re-establish the link and gain unauthorized access to the victims account without any further confirmation.

A flaw was found in the Dynamic Client Registration service of Keycloak, an open-source identity and access management solution. The issue occurs when a user with the view-clients role accesses the client registration endpoint to retrieve client details. Due to a failure to mask sensitive information, the service returns the client's confidential secret in cleartext. This could allow a read-only administrator to obtain full access to the affected client's account and potentially escalate their privileges within the realm.

  • Sep 10, 2026A flaw was found in the Device Authorization Grant flow of Keycloak, an identity and access management solution.CVE-2026-88770 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.5

A flaw was found in the Device Authorization Grant flow of Keycloak, an identity and access management solution. The issue occurs because the token redemption process fails to check if a user account is currently locked due to brute-force protection. If an attacker has an active session for a locked account, they can complete the device login process and receive new security tokens. This allows the attacker to maintain access to the account even when it should be temporarily disabled to prevent unauthorized entry.

A flaw was found in the key provider component of the keycloak-services library, which is the core engine for the Red Hat Build of Keycloak. The issue occurs because a previous fix for path probing was incomplete, allowing a realm administrator to still submit arbitrary filesystem paths as keystore parameters. This can be used to determine the existence and readability of files on the server, potentially exposing sensitive system information.

A flaw was found in the first-broker-login flow of the Keycloak identity management service. When a user links a social identity provider account to their local account, the verification proof generated is not strictly bound to the specific upstream identity being verified. This allows an attacker with a different account on the same social provider to intercept the process and link their own account to the victim's local profile, gaining unauthorized access.

  • Aug 25, 2026A flaw was found in the JWT Bearer authorization grant implementation within the keycloak-services component of Red Hat Build of Keycloak.CVE-2026-79652 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.9

A flaw was found in the JWT Bearer authorization grant implementation within the keycloak-services component of Red Hat Build of Keycloak. This component handles various OAuth2 and OpenID Connect grant types used for issuing access tokens. The issue occurs because the JWT Bearer grant fails to check if a client requires user consent before issuing a token. This allows an authenticated attacker with valid client credentials and a trusted identity provider assertion to bypass the consent requirement and obtain unauthorized access to a user account at a consent-gated client.

  • Aug 18, 2026A flaw was found in the legacy client-initiated account-linking endpoint of Keycloak, a widely used open-source identity and access management solution.CVE-2026-15571 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.3

A flaw was found in the legacy client-initiated account-linking endpoint of Keycloak, a widely used open-source identity and access management solution. The mechanism used to protect the account-linking process from unauthorized requests relies on a hash that can be predicted by a malicious OIDC client. By tricking a user into authenticating, an attacker-controlled client can forge a valid linking URL to connect the victim's account to an attacker's external identity. This results in a full account takeover, allowing the attacker to log in as the victim.
