    When the `allowed_scopes` configuration is enabled, the OAuth2 token introspection mechanism does not immediately invalidate a token in the cache after a revocation request. This results in a scenario where an access token that was introspected immediately before a revocation request may be returned again to the client after revocation, until the relevant cache entry is cleared. The security consequence is that a revoked access token may be re-issued to the client during the cache lifetime. While the re-issued token is not treated as valid for API authorization, affected users may be unable to obtain a new valid access token until the cache is cleared, which can disrupt authentication flows.

  • Oct 12, 2026Parse Server 8.2.2 before 8.6.94 and 9.0.0 before 9.10.1-alpha.14 applies its GraphQL introspection control only to operation text sent directly with a request,CVE-2026-109302 · Other software · parse-community · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.3

    Parse Server 8.2.2 before 8.6.94 and 9.0.0 before 9.10.1-alpha.14 applies its GraphQL introspection control only to operation text sent directly with a request, not to operations resolved from Apollo Server's automatic persisted query cache. Unauthenticated attackers holding the public Application Id and client key can replay an introspection query previously cached by a master or maintenance key client to retrieve the schema, including private class and field names.

    n8n versions before 2.39.6 and 2.40.0 before 2.40.1 fail to validate credential ownership during inline agent node-tool introspection. Attackers can reference arbitrary credential IDs to decrypt and exfiltrate plaintext secrets to attacker-controlled hosts without ownership verification.

  • Sep 24, 2026Lemonldap::NG::Portal versions from 2.20.0 before 2.21.6, from 2.22.0 before 2.23.4 for Perl allow unauthenticated OAuth2 token introspection because checkEndPoCVE-2026-92288 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eCritical 9.1

    Lemonldap::NG::Portal versions from 2.20.0 before 2.21.6, from 2.22.0 before 2.23.4 for Perl allow unauthenticated OAuth2 token introspection because checkEndPointAuthenticationCredentials does not verify the client secret of a public Relying Party. checkEndPointAuthenticationCredentials() skips the secret comparison for a Relying Party marked public and still returns the authentication method deduced from the request, client_secret_basic or client_secret_post. introspection() rejects a caller only when that method is missing or none, so a request carrying a public client_id and an arbitrary or empty secret passes the endpoint's authentication check. An attacker who holds an access token and knows the client_id of any public Relying Party can confirm the token is active and read its metadata, including scope, audience, expiry and the sub claim. The sub claim is computed with the calling Relying Party's user identifier attribute, so an attacker can translate a user identifier from one Relying Party to another, defeating per-client and pseudonymous identifiers.

  • Sep 11, 2026Requests from the reverse proxy to the identity-provider service for token discovery, introspection, and credential exchange do not verify the identity providerCVE-2026-90452 · Other software · CISA · reported by ics-cert@hq.dhs.govMedium 6

    Requests from the reverse proxy to the identity-provider service for token discovery, introspection, and credential exchange do not verify the identity provider's server certificate. An attacker positioned on the network path between the proxy and the identity provider could impersonate the identity provider and issue forged authentication tokens accepted by the deployment.

    In Apache CXF's DefaultEncryptingOAuthDataProvider, revoked access tokens still decrypt successfully, and TokenIntrospectionService reports active:true. The same applies to refresh tokens. This violates the RFC stipulations that 'The authorization server MUST invalidate the token.' and 'introspection of a revoked token MUST return {"active":false}'. • Jul 31, 2026A flaw was found in the OIDC token introspection endpoint of the keycloak-services component.CVE-2026-18208 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.5

    A flaw was found in the OIDC token introspection endpoint of the keycloak-services component. Keycloak is an open-source identity and access management solution used to secure modern applications and services. The issue occurs when a confidential client, configured to receive signed JWT introspection responses, attempts to introspect a token issued for a different audience. Although the endpoint correctly identifies the token as inactive for that client, it still returns the full set of token claims within a signed JWT field. This allows an unauthorized client to bypass audience-based restrictions and access sensitive information contained in the token.

  • Jun 12, 2026An authentication bypass vulnerability exists in the OAuth2 TokenIntrospectionService in Apache CXF.CVE-2026-50623 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 4.8

    An authentication bypass vulnerability exists in the OAuth2 TokenIntrospectionService in Apache CXF. Due to a missing 'throw' keyword in the security context check, the introspection endpoint (/services/oauth2/introspect) can be accessed by any unauthenticated network attacker. However note that this is a safeguard only in the case that someone forgot to enable authentication on the service. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.2.2 or 4.1.7 or 3.6.12, which fixes this issue.

    The "profiling.sampling" module (Python 3.15+) and "asyncio introspection capabilities" (3.14+, "python -m asyncio ps" and "python -m asyncio pstree") features could be used to read and write addresses in a privileged process if that process connected to a malicious or "infected" Python process via the remote debugging feature. This vulnerability requires persistently and repeatedly connecting to the process to be exploited, even after the connecting process crashes with high likelihood due to ASLR.

    We identified an issue in the Amazon ECS agent where, under certain conditions, an introspection server could be accessed off-host by another instance if the instances are in the same security group or if their security groups allow incoming connections that include the port where the server is hosted. This issue does not affect instances where the option to allow off-host access to the introspection server is set to 'false'. This issue has been addressed in ECS agent version 1.97.1. We recommend upgrading to the latest version and ensuring any forked or derivative code is patched to incorporate the new fixes. If customers cannot update to the latest AMI, they can modify the Amazon EC2 security groups to restrict incoming access to the introspection server port (51678).

    Compiler Optimization Removal or Modification of Security-critical Code vulnerability in IntPeParseUnwindData() results in multiple dereferences to the same pointer. If the pointer is located in memory-mapped from the guest space, this may cause a race-condition where the generated code would dereference the same address twice, thus obtaining different values, which may lead to arbitrary code execution.
