  • Sep 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: memcg: make the v1 soft limit knob inert The v1 soft limit has been deprecated since v6.12CVE-2026-93240 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: memcg: make the v1 soft limit knob inert The v1 soft limit has been deprecated since v6.12 and nobody has reported depending on it. Start the removal by decoupling the interface from the implementation: keep memory.soft_limit_in_bytes, but ignore writes to it and always report the maximum value on read similar to what memory.kmem.limit_in_bytes already does. Writes are still parsed, so malformed input keeps returning -EINVAL. The knob now also behaves the same everywhere: it used to return -EOPNOTSUPP on PREEMPT_RT, where soft limit reclaim has always been disabled. This also fixes the syzbot report linked below. Soft limit reclaim is the only caller that runs shrink_lruvec() from kswapd against a specific memcg, so it is the only way to reach lru_gen_shrink_lruvec() and in turn set_mm_walk(), which warns when called from kswapd.

  • Jul 17, 2026@hapi/inert provides static file and directory handlers for hapi.js.CVE-2026-48049 · Other software · hapijs · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

@hapi/inert provides static file and directory handlers for hapi.js. From 4.0.0 to 7.1.0, @hapi/inert serves static files from a directory configured with path in the directory or file handlers or relativeTo for h.file(), with confinement enforced by the confine option, but the confinement check compared the resolved absolute path against the confine directory using a raw string-prefix test, so a sibling directory such as /app/static-secret next to /app/static was incorrectly accepted and could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to read files via /..%2fstatic-secret/secret.txt. This issue is fixed in version 7.1.1.

  • Jul 29, 2025The Amazon Q Developer Visual Studio Code (VS Code) extension v1.84.0 contains inert, injected code designed to call the Q Developer CLI.CVE-2025-8217 · Other software · Amazon · reported by ff89ba41-3aa1-4d27-914a-91399e9639e5Medium 5.1

The Amazon Q Developer Visual Studio Code (VS Code) extension v1.84.0 contains inert, injected code designed to call the Q Developer CLI. The code executes when the extension is launched within the VS Code environment; however the injected code contains a syntax error which prevents it from making a successful API call to the Q Developer CLI. To mitigate this issue, users should upgrade to version v1.85.0. All installations of v1.84.0 should be removed from use.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
