  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: skip eviction of a BO with no resource xe_evict_flags() switches on tbo->resource-CVE-2026-99209 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: skip eviction of a BO with no resource xe_evict_flags() switches on tbo->resource->mem_type to choose an eviction placement. An xe BO can reach eviction with no ttm.resource, e.g. an imported dma-buf BO whose resource was freed during teardown while its attachment is still live: the exporter then invalidates it via xe_dma_buf_move_notify() -> xe_bo_evict(), and the switch dereferences a NULL resource and faults. A BO with no resource has nothing placed or mapped, so there is nothing to evict. Return an empty placement (num_placement = 0), mirroring the handling already used for non-xe scatter-gather BOs just above; ttm_bo_validate() then takes the pipeline-gutting path and returns 0. Without the fix the xe_dma_buf@xe_test_dmabuf_move_notify_no_resource dynamic live selftest will fail with below stack. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/kvm: Don't consume async #PF flags on a kernel #PF in NMI context An async #PF "page not present" event arrives through the #PF vector, and its reason sits in the per-CPU apf_reason.flags until __kvm_handle_async_pf() reads and clears it. If an NMI arrives after the event is injected and before the #PF handler reads the flags, and the NMI handler itself takes a #PF, that fault reads and clears the flags belonging to the #PF it interrupted. • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Fix crash in print_graph_function_event() tracing_set_tracer() assigns the flags CVE-2026-99141 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Fix crash in print_graph_function_event() tracing_set_tracer() assigns the flags of the newly selected tracer with: tr->current_trace_flags = t->flags ? : t->tracer->flags; If the new tracer defines neither static flags nor default flags, like hwlat, irqsoff or wakeup, add_tracer() has no per instance flags copy for it, and both operands are NULL, so tr->current_trace_flags ends up being NULL as well. The ring buffer is not cleared when switching tracers: it is reset inside tracer_init(), after current_trace_flags was already assigned. If the buffer still holds function_graph entries of the previous tracer, printing one of them dereferences the NULL pointer. This was hit by cat trace during an ftrace stress test: BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000000 #PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode RIP: 0010:print_graph_function_event+0xe/0x20 Call Trace: s_show+0x4d/0x110 seq_read_iter+0x2d4/0x490 seq_read+0x130/0x170 vfs_read+0xb5/0x370 ksys_read+0x6d/0xe0 do_syscall_64+0xbc/0x450 The snapshot buffer is not reset at all, so this can be reproduced with

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: initialize FileSystemControlFlags in FS_CONTROL_INFORMATION smb2_get_info_filesysteCVE-2026-99114 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: initialize FileSystemControlFlags in FS_CONTROL_INFORMATION smb2_get_info_filesystem() reports 48 bytes for FS_CONTROL_INFORMATION, that is the whole of struct smb2_fs_control_info, but never assigns FileSystemControlFlags. Those four bytes go to the client as they are found in the response buffer. The buffer is zeroed on allocation, so a standalone request leaks nothing. A compound request can leak: the offset of the next response is advanced by the length pinned for the previous one, so a reply that was written into the buffer and then dropped in favour of the short error response of smb2_set_err_rsp() stays there, and the next reply is laid over it with only the header cleared. ksmbd does not implement quota tracking, so report no control flags.

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: move attribute payload before shrinking its record ntfs_new_attr_flags() resizes theCVE-2026-99101 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: move attribute payload before shrinking its record ntfs_new_attr_flags() resizes the non-resident attribute record before moving its name and mapping pairs to their shorter-header offsets when compression or sparse state is cleared. Shrinking the record first moves the following attribute over the tail of the old record. The subsequent memmove() therefore copies bytes from that following attribute instead of the old mapping pairs. Re-enabling compression on an empty file persists those bytes as a malformed mapping pairs array, which ntfsck reports as a missing or invalid run length. Move the payload before shrinking the record, while retaining the existing resize-before-move ordering when growing it.

  • Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: do not warn on route notification size race fib6_info_hw_flags_set() sizes the skb wCVE-2026-99070 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: do not warn on route notification size race fib6_info_hw_flags_set() sizes the skb with rt6_nlmsg_size() and later fills it with rt6_fill_node(). With nexthop compatibility mode enabled, a concurrent replacement can grow the group between these independent snapshots. rt6_fill_node() can then legitimately return -EMSGSIZE, so the warning does not prove a sizing bug. Remove the warning. The existing error path still frees the skb and reports the error to listeners.

  • Oct 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: stop exchanging reflink flags when exchanging mappings When an exchange covers both fCVE-2026-98975 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: stop exchanging reflink flags when exchanging mappings When an exchange covers both files from offset 0 to i_disk_size, xmi_can_exchange_reflink_flags() assumes every mapping moved and hands the reflink flag over to the other file. That assumption is wrong. A file can still own shared blocks past i_disk_size, e.g. after EXCHANGE_RANGE_TO_EOF sets a smaller size without unmapping anything. The flag is cleared anyway, and the next write to such a block happens in place instead of CoW, corrupting the other file that shares it. Commit a23eca88448e ("xfs: fix exchange-range reflink flag clearing issue with INO1_WRITTEN") fixed one instance of this. Rather than add another special case, stop moving the flags. xfs_exchmaps_ensure_reflink() already sets the flag on both inodes before the exchange, so both just keep it. Nothing sets CLEAR_INO{1,2}_REFLINK anymore. Intents logged by older kernels may still carry them; recovery already masks them off, so they stay in the log format mask and are ignored. XFS_IOC_SWAPEXT has the same problem: it moves the reflink flag from one inode to the other along with the ex

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipvs: filter some flags received in the backup server While the IPVS SYNC protocol is not secure by design we can still protect the backup server from messages that can wreak havoc. This commit addresses problems from received connection flags or their combinations. We now drop messages as follows: 1. the NO_CPORT+TEMPLATE combination allows lookups for normal connections to hit template which can break in many ways. While the master does not sync connections with NO_CPORT flag, i.e. before they are established, we still accept NO_CPORT without TEMPLATE. 2. ONE_PACKET: it is not sent by master, so we do not expect it in backup. Before now it was ignored by IP_VS_CONN_F_BACKUP_MASK for protocol v1 while protocol v0 created connections that are not hashed and dropped immediately. Better to apply the IP_VS_CONN_F_BACKUP_MASK also to the flags from v0 messages for consistency with v1.

  • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Derive SCX_RQ_IN_WAKEUP from the core enqueue flags schedule_deferred_locked() CVE-2026-98463 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Derive SCX_RQ_IN_WAKEUP from the core enqueue flags schedule_deferred_locked() skips scheduling a deferred action while SCX_RQ_IN_WAKEUP is set and relies on the task_woken_scx() call that follows a wakeup enqueue to run it. enqueue_task_scx() sets the flag from the merged enqueue flags, which include the flags stashed for a remote activation. move_remote_task_to_local_dsq() thus sets SCX_RQ_IN_WAKEUP on the destination rq when the moved task was woken up, although no task_woken_scx() follows that activation. An IMMED insert into a busy destination requests a local reenqueue during that enqueue. The request gets linked but not scheduled and stays pending until an unrelated wakeup or preemption on that CPU runs the deferred actions. The IMMED task sits behind the running task in the meantime. If nothing runs them before the scheduler is disabled, the request outlives the scheduler and points into its freed per-cpu area, which the next scheduler dereferences from run_deferred(). Test the core enqueue flags for the wakeup bit. Only the core's wakeup path is followed by task_woken_scx().

A type confusion vulnerability in the _read_flags function (src/commands/cmd_dispatcher.c) in FalkorDB before 4.20.0 allows a remote authenticated attacker who can run GRAPH.QUERY to cause a denial of service and possibly disclose or corrupt memory. The function accepts a --bolt argument from any client and casts the following command argument, a Redis string object, to a Bolt client structure without checking its origin; the result-set code then dereferences pointers read from that object. The argument is parsed even when the Bolt endpoint is disabled, so default configurations are affected.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: validate access flags before swapping the MR's PD rxe_rereg_user_mr() reassigns mr->ibmr.pd first and only then validates the IB_MR_REREG_ACCESS argument: if (flags & IB_MR_REREG_PD) { rxe_put(old_pd); rxe_get(pd); mr->ibmr.pd = ibpd; } if (flags & IB_MR_REREG_ACCESS) { if (access & ~RXE_ACCESS_SUPPORTED_MR) return ERR_PTR(-EOPNOTSUPP); mr->access = access; } Both flags pass the entry check because RXE_MR_REREG_SUPPORTED is IB_MR_REREG_PD | IB_MR_REREG_ACCESS, so a caller can reach the access check with mr->ibmr.pd already reassigned. mr->ibmr.pd is owned by the core, which adjusts pd->usecnt only on the success path: ib_uverbs_rereg_mr() jumps to put_new_uobj on a driver error without undoing the reassignment, so mr->pd == new_pd while the usecnts still charge the MR to orig_pd. ib_dereg_mr_user() then decrements new_pd, whose count can reach zero while a memory window still references it; uverbs_free_pd() frees the PD on that count alone and rxe_mw_cleanup() writes to freed memory: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __rxe_put+0x31/0xa0 Write of size 4 at addr ffff8881301dd690

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: lock the socket in sock_gettstamp() sk->sk_flags must only be changed while holding the socket lock, because sock_set_flag() and sock_reset_flag() use non atomic operations (__set_bit() and __clear_bit()). sock_gettstamp() is one of the last places where a bit of sk->sk_flags is changed from a syscall without owning the socket lock, through sock_enable_timestamp(sk, SOCK_TIMESTAMP). sk_set_memalloc() and sk_clear_memalloc() also change sk->sk_flags without the socket lock, but their callers (nbd, iscsi_tcp, nvme-tcp, sunrpc, wireguard) need a careful audit, this will be addressed in a separate patch. Jungwoo Lee and Wongi Lee reported an UDP socket use-after-free caused by this bug: a SIOCGSTAMPNS_NEW ioctl racing with bind() can cancel the SOCK_RCU_FREE bit that udp_lib_get_port() just set, because both threads perform a read-modify-write on the same word. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/rds: clear cp_flags bits individually in rds_conn_path_reset() rds_conn_path_reset() wipes the whole flag word with a plain cp->cp_flags = 0 store. Every other accessor of that word uses atomic bitops, and some of them can run concurrently with the reset: RDS_LL_SEND_FULL is set from rds_send_xmit() and cleared from the transport completion paths, neither of which holds anything that excludes the shutdown worker. A plain store racing an atomic read-modify-write on the same word is a data race, and whichever side loses has its update silently discarded. Clear the two bits the reset is actually responsible for instead. RDS_IN_XMIT and RDS_RECV_REFILL need no store at all here: they belong to the caller, rds_conn_shutdown(), which waits for both to be clear before calling the transport shutdown and this reset. This also gives every bit in cp_flags a single well-defined writer discipline, which the following patches rely on when they turn RDS_IN_XMIT and RDS_RECV_REFILL into bit locks held across the teardown: a blanket store mid-teardown would destroy lock ownership that an atomic clear preserves. • Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Require MEM_PERCPU for percpu kptr stores map_kptr_match_type() treats perm_flags as CVE-2026-98039 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Require MEM_PERCPU for percpu kptr stores map_kptr_match_type() treats perm_flags as the set of register type flags that a kptr field permits. Adding MEM_PERCPU to that set for BPF_KPTR_PERCPU does not require the source register to carry it, however. The subset test consequently accepts both a plain bpf_obj_new() allocation and a referenced kernel pointer into a __percpu_kptr map field. Loads from the field are always marked MEM_PERCPU. Consumers then treat the stored value as the cookie returned by bpf_percpu_obj_new(): per-CPU pointer helpers relocate it, and map teardown selects the per-CPU free path. A plain allocation can therefore provide an arbitrary kernel read/write, while a kernel pointer can be relocated into an invalid address or sent through a missing destructor. Require the source MEM_PERCPU flag to match the destination field kind. This preserves valid bpf_percpu_obj_new() stores and rejects both the program-BTF and kernel-BTF variants.

  • Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio_ring: fix stale descriptor flags after a failed packed add In a packed ring the AVACVE-2026-97997 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio_ring: fix stale descriptor flags after a failed packed add In a packed ring the AVAIL and USED bits sit in the descriptor itself, so writing them makes that descriptor available. Those bit combinations flip meaning on every round of the ring, tracked by a wrap counter, so invalidating or validating a descriptor means inverting both bits. Commit 1ce9e6055fa0 ("virtio_ring: introduce packed ring support") has virtqueue_add_packed() make every descriptor of a chain available as it maps the chain, and write the head last. The device consumes the ring in order and stops at a head that is not available yet, so it never reaches the rest. When vring_map_one_sg() fails partway, unmap_release unmaps the segments and restores avail_used_flags, but the descriptors it wrote to in the ring stay marked with AVAIL and USED bits. The head is now the only entry that keeps the device from consuming these stale entries. For example, the ring would look like this now. Z - pre-previous command A - previous command B - aborted command C - current command [A1 DONE] [A2 DONE] <C1 EMPTY> [B2] [B3] [Z1 DONE] When the

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: convert nfsd_net boolean flags to unsigned long flags word nfsd_net contains several boolean fields that are accessed from concurrent contexts without serialization. In particular, nfsd4_end_grace() guards its drain path with a plain bool: if (nn->grace_ended) return; nn->grace_ended = true; The read and the write are independent, and nothing in struct nfsd_net serializes them. rustls-webpki through 0.103.12 (and 0.104.0-alpha releases before 0.104.0-alpha.7) contains a reachable panic in bit_string_flags() in src/der.rs. The input guard fails to reject a named-bit BIT STRING whose content is exactly [0x00] (zero padding bits and no data bytes), so raw_bits.len() - 1 underflows on the empty slice and the subsequent index operation panics (subtract-with-overflow in debug, index-out-of-bounds in release). The condition is reachable through the public API BorrowedCertRevocationList::from_der() when a CRL contains an issuingDistributionPoint extension with such an onlySomeReasons value. Exploitation requires an application that explicitly opts in to CRL revocation checking by passing RevocationOptions to verify_for_usage() and that parses CRL bytes obtained from a source the attacker can influence; the default rustls configuration, which does not use RevocationOptions, is unaffected. A crafted CRL causes a denial of service via the panic. Fixed in 0.103.13 and 0.104.0-alpha.7.

The OpenFeature Operator allows users to expose feature flags to applications. In version 0.9.2 and earlier, a tenant who can create a controller-owned workload can use the openfeature.dev/featureflagsource annotation with NAMESPACE/NAME syntax to reference a FeatureFlagSource or InProcessConfiguration in another namespace. On multi-tenant clusters that use namespaces as trust boundaries, the cluster-scoped operator reads that resource and materializes spec.envVars literal values, spec.httpSyncBearerToken, sync URIs, and supporting ConfigMaps into the tenant's workload. Single-tenant clusters are not impacted, secretKeyRef and configMapKeyRef values remain namespace-local, and creating a FeatureFlagSource is not required.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: LoongArch: KVM: Preserve memslot arch flags on KVM_MR_FLAGS_ONLY kvm_arch_prepare_memory_region() computes new->arch.flags, i.e. whether a memslot is KVM_MEM_HUGEPAGE_CAPABLE or KVM_MEM_HUGEPAGE_INCAPABLE, only for KVM_MR_CREATE and KVM_MR_MOVE, and returns early for every other change. But the generic code allocates a zeroed memslot for every change and never copies old->arch, so after a KVM_MR_FLAGS_ONLY update, e.g. toggling KVM_MEM_LOG_DIRTY_PAGES for live migration, the active memslot has arch.flags == 0. With both flags clear, fault_supports_huge_mapping() falls through to the alignment check on the HVA range alone, which no longer verifies that the GPA and HVA have the same offset within a PMD. A memslot that was marked KVM_MEM_HUGEPAGE_INCAPABLE because of a GPA/HVA offset mismatch can then be mapped with PMD entries on read faults, and since kvm_map_page() aligns the gfn and the pfn independently, the guest ends up accessing the wrong host pages, exactly the "d -> f, e -> g" case described in the comment above the check. Carry the arch flags over from the old memslot for KVM_MR_FLAGS_ONLY, as the GPA,

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: multitouch: fix out-of-bounds bit access on mt_io_flags mt_io_flags is a single unsigned long, but mt_process_slot(), mt_release_pending_palms() and mt_release_contacts() use it as a per-slot bitmap indexed by the slot number. That slot number is only bounded by td->maxcontacts, which is taken from the device's ContactCountMaximum feature report and can be up to 255, not by BITS_PER_LONG. As a result, a multitouch device that advertises a large contact count makes set_bit()/clear_bit() operate past the mt_io_flags word and corrupt the adjacent members of struct mt_device. The sticky-fingers release timer is the easiest way to reach this. mt_release_contacts() runs for (i = 0; i < mt->num_slots; i++) clear_bit(i, &td->mt_io_flags); with num_slots == maxcontacts. For maxcontacts around 250 the loop clears the bits that overlap td->applications.next, zeroing that list head, and the list_for_each_entry() that immediately follows then dereferences NULL. The kernel panics from timer (softirq) context. On a KASAN build this shows up as a general protection fault in mt_release_contacts() with a null-ptr-deref

Therefore this function continues to incorrectly use pmd_write(), pmd_soft_dirty() and pmd_uffd_wp() to determine whether the installed migration entry should be marked writable, softdirty or uffd-wp respectively. Whilst all are incorrect, the most problematic of these is pmd_write(), as this can lead to corrupted rmap state. On x86-64 _PAGE_SWP_SOFT_DIRTY is aliased to _PAGE_RW. So calling pmd_write() on a softleaf will return the softdirty state encoded in the entry, assuming CONFIG_MEM_SOFT_DIRTY was enabled. This was observed when running the hmm.hmm_device_private.anon_write_child selftest: 1. The test faults in a range then migrates it such that a device-private THP range is established. 2. The parent then migrates it to a device-private writable PMD entry whose folio is entirely AnonExclusive with ent

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: 9p: fix access mode flags being ORed instead of replaced Since commit 1f3e4142c0eb ("9p: convert to the new mount API"), v9fs_apply_options() applies parsed mount flags with |= onto flags already set by v9fs_session_init(). For 9P2000.L, session_init sets V9FS_ACCESS_CLIENT as the default, so when the user mounts with "access=user", both bits end up set. Access mode checks compare against exact values, so having both bits set matches neither mode. This causes v9fs_fid_lookup() to fall through to the default switch case, using INVALID_UID (nobody/65534) instead of current_fsuid() for all fid lookups. Root is then unable to chown or perform other privileged operations. Fix by clearing the access mask before applying the user's choice.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix memory access flags in helper prototypes After commit 37cce22dbd51 ("bpf: verifier: Refactor helper access type tracking"), the verifier started relying on the access type flags in helper function prototypes to perform memory access optimizations. Currently, several helper functions utilizing ARG_PTR_TO_MEM lack the corresponding MEM_RDONLY or MEM_WRITE flags. This omission causes the verifier to incorrectly assume that the buffer contents are unchanged across the helper call. Consequently, the verifier may optimize away subsequent reads based on this wrong assumption, leading to correctness issues. For bpf_get_stack_proto_raw_tp, the original MEM_RDONLY was incorrect since the helper writes to the buffer. Change it to ARG_PTR_TO_UNINIT_MEM which correctly indicates write access to potentially uninitialized memory. Similar issues were recently addressed for specific helpers in commit ac44dcc788b9 ("bpf: Fix verifier assumptions of bpf_d_path's output buffer") and commit 2eb7648558a7 ("bpf: Specify access type of bpf_sysctl_get_name args"). Fix these prototypes by adding the correct memory access flag

libyang before 5.2.6 contains a heap use-after-free write vulnerability in lyd_parser_set_data_flags that incorrectly updates metadata list pointers when freeing non-head default metadata entries. Attackers can trigger this vulnerability by submitting crafted YANG XML documents with specific metadata attributes to applications parsing untrusted XML data, causing process crashes or potential code execution.

  • May 13, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64: contpte: fix set_access_flags() no-op check for SMMU/ATS faults contpte_ptep_set_acCVE-2026-43486 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64: contpte: fix set_access_flags() no-op check for SMMU/ATS faults contpte_ptep_set_access_flags() compared the gathered ptep_get() value against the requested entry to detect no-ops. ptep_get() ORs AF/dirty from all sub-PTEs in the CONT block, so a dirty sibling can make the target appear already-dirty. When the gathered value matches entry, the function returns 0 even though the target sub-PTE still has PTE_RDONLY set in hardware. For a CPU with FEAT_HAFDBS this gathered view is fine, since hardware may set AF/dirty on any sub-PTE and CPU TLB behavior is effectively gathered across the CONT range. But page-table walkers that evaluate each descriptor individually (e.g. a CPU without DBM support, or an SMMU without HTTU, or with HA/HD disabled in CD.TCR) can keep faulting on the unchanged target sub-PTE, causing an infinite fault loop. Gathering can therefore cause false no-ops when only a sibling has been updated: - write faults: target still has PTE_RDONLY (needs PTE_RDONLY cleared) - read faults: target still lacks PTE_AF Fix by checking each sub-PTE against the requested AF/dirty/write state (the sa

  • May 13, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: core: Avoid bitfield RMW for claim/retune flags Move claimed and retune control flagsCVE-2026-43484 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mmc: core: Avoid bitfield RMW for claim/retune flags Move claimed and retune control flags out of the bitfield word to avoid unrelated RMW side effects in asynchronous contexts. The host->claimed bit shared a word with retune flags. Writes to claimed in __mmc_claim_host() or retune_now in mmc_mq_queue_rq() can overwrite other bits when concurrent updates happen in other contexts, triggering spurious WARN_ON(!host->claimed). Convert claimed, can_retune, retune_now and retune_paused to bool to remove shared-word coupling.

  • May 1, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: comedi: runflags cannot determine whether to reclaim chanlist syzbot reported a memory leaCVE-2026-31750 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: comedi: runflags cannot determine whether to reclaim chanlist syzbot reported a memory leak [1], because commit 4e1da516debb ("comedi: Add reference counting for Comedi command handling") did not consider the exceptional exit case in do_cmd_ioctl() where runflags is not set. This caused chanlist not to be properly freed by do_become_nonbusy(), as it only frees chanlist when runflags is correctly set. Added a check in do_become_nonbusy() for the case where runflags is not set, to properly free the chanlist memory. Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
