  • Sep 28, 2026Apache ActiveMQ Artemis before 2.34.0 contains an unsafe reflection vulnerability in FederationStreamConnectMessage.getFederationPolicy().CVE-2026-101292 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 8.2

Apache ActiveMQ Artemis before 2.34.0 contains an unsafe reflection vulnerability in FederationStreamConnectMessage.getFederationPolicy(). The method calls Class.forName(clazz).getConstructor().newInstance() where clazz is read directly from the CORE protocol wire buffer without type validation. An authenticated federation peer can send a FEDERATION_DOWNSTREAM_CONNECT packet with a crafted class name, causing the broker to load and instantiate arbitrary classes visible to the Artemis module classloader. Static initializers (<clinit>) and no-argument constructors (<init>()) execute as side effects before the type cast, enabling denial of service via system-property poisoning, out-of-memory conditions via classloading, or broker state manipulation.

A flaw was found in the Kerberos federation provider of Keycloak, an open-source identity and access management solution. When Kerberos password authentication is used without SPNEGO, the system fails to verify the identity of the Key Distribution Center (KDC) by requesting a server ticket. This allows an attacker on the same network to spoof the KDC and bypass the authentication process, potentially gaining unauthorized access to user accounts.

  • Sep 13, 2026Forgejo 13.0.0 through 16.0.4, when "[federation] ENABLED = true" is set, has a spoofing issue that affects identity integrity but does not allow account takeovCVE-2026-90679 · Other software · Forgejo · reported by MITREMedium 4.3

Forgejo 13.0.0 through 16.0.4, when "[federation] ENABLED = true" is set, has a spoofing issue that affects identity integrity but does not allow account takeover or content modification. It does not verify that the HTTP Signature on an incoming ActivityPub activity was produced by the key belonging to the actor named in the activity body. The signature verification in routers/api/v1/activitypub/reqsignature.go validates the request signature, but the inbox activity handlers subsequently read the acting identity from the attacker-controlled JSON body without binding it to the verified signing key. Additionally, the signed Digest header is not recomputed against the received request body. A remote attacker who hosts a single valid ActivityPub actor and keypair can therefore submit signature-valid activities attributed to any actor identity they name.

stigmem (pip package stigmem-node) version 0.9.0a1 contains a timestamp-handling mismatch in federation peer-token validation that can cause valid peer tokens to be incorrectly treated as expired. This affects the availability and reliability of authenticated federation flows on nodes using federation peer authentication paths. stigmem-node contains an insecure default configuration vulnerability that allows federation traffic to traverse networks without mTLS protection when non-loopback endpoints are enabled. stigmem-node 0.9.0a1 accepts federation peer key material during peer registration without a separate administrator out-of-band fingerprint approval step. On nodes that accept federation peer registration over a network where initial registration can be intercepted or misdirected, an attacker can register a malicious peer and gain access to or tamper with federation traffic. Fixed in 0.9.0a2, which introduces a pending approval flow requiring administrator fingerprint verification before peer tokens are accepted.

  • Aug 7, 2026Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling vulnerability in DivvyPayHQ absinthe_federation allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to abort the ErlaCVE-2026-67585 · Other software · DivvyPayHQ · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbHigh 8.7

Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling vulnerability in DivvyPayHQ absinthe_federation allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to abort the Erlang VM via crafted _entities representation keys. Every key of every object in the representations argument of the federation-mandated _entities field is converted with String.to_atom/1 by convert_key/2 in lib/absinthe/federation/schema/entities_field.ex. representations is typed as the open-ended _Any scalar, so its keys bypass schema coercion and the attacker names them freely. Atoms are never garbage collected and the BEAM atom table is hard-capped (about 1,048,576 entries by default), so one request carrying tens of thousands of unique keys creates that many permanent atoms and a handful of such requests exhausts the table and aborts the node. The impact is confined to availability: no data is read or altered, and recovery requires restarting the application. This issue affects absinthe_federation: from 0.1.0 before 0.9.3.

A flaw was found in the SAML broker component of Keycloak, which is used to manage identity federation and user authentication. The issue occurs because the IdP-initiated Single Sign-On endpoint fails to check if a provider is restricted to account linking only. This allows an attacker with control over a linked upstream identity to bypass login restrictions and gain full access to a local user account.

Amazon Athena is a serverless, interactive query service that lets you analyze data directly in Amazon S3 using standard SQL. Athena Query Federation is a feature that allows you to connect to data sources outside of Amazon S3 like DynamoDB, Azure Synapse, and custom connectors using standard SQL syntax. Improper neutralization of special elements used in an SQL command in the Synapse connector in Amazon aws-athena-query-federation v2022.20.1 through v2026.19.1 might allow an authenticated remote user to execute injected read-only SQL queries that return unintended data from the connected database via a crafted table name. • Nov 13, 2025Apollo Federation is an architecture for declaratively composing APIs into a unified graph.CVE-2025-64530 · Other software · apollographql · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

Apollo Federation is an architecture for declaratively composing APIs into a unified graph. A vulnerability in versions of Apollo Federation's composition logic prior to 2.9.5, 2.10.4, 2.11.5, and 2.12.1 allowed some queries to Apollo Router to improperly bypass access controls on types/fields. Apollo Federation incorrectly allowed user-defined access control directives on interface types/fields, which could be bypassed by instead querying the implementing object types/fields in Apollo Router via inline fragments, for example. A fix to versions 2.9.5, 2.10.4, 2.11.5, and 2.12.1 of composition logic in Federation now disallows interfaces types and fields to contain user-defined access control directives. Some workarounds are available. Users of Apollo Rover with an unpatched composition version or are using the Apollo Studio build pipeline with Federation version 2.8 or below should manually copy the access control requirements on interface types/fields to each implementing object type/field where appropriate. Do not remove those access control requirements from the interface types/fields, as unpatched Apollo Composition will not automatically generate them in the supergraph schema.

  • Nov 7, 2025Apollo Router Core is a configurable Rust graph router written to run a federated supergraph using Apollo Federation 2.CVE-2025-64347 · Other software · apollographql · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

Apollo Router Core is a configurable Rust graph router written to run a federated supergraph using Apollo Federation 2. Versions 1.61.12-rc.0 and below and 2.8.1-rc.0 allow unauthorized access to protected data through schema elements with access control directives (@authenticated, @requiresScopes, and @policy) that were renamed via @link imports. Router did not enforce renamed access control directives on schema elements (e.g. fields and types), allowing queries to bypass those element-level access controls. This issue is fixed in versions 1.61.12 and 2.8.1.

  • Nov 6, 2025Apollo Router Core is a configurable graph router written in Rust to run a federated supergraph using Apollo Federation 2.CVE-2025-64173 · Other software · apollographql · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

Apollo Router Core is a configurable graph router written in Rust to run a federated supergraph using Apollo Federation 2. In versions 1.61.11 below, as well as 2.0.0-alpha.0 through 2.8.1-rc.0, a vulnerability allowed for unauthenticated queries to access data that required additional access controls. Router incorrectly handled access control directives on interface types/fields and their implementing object types/fields, applying them to interface types/fields while ignoring directives on their implementing object types/fields when all implementations had the same requirements. Apollo Router customers defining @authenticated, @requiresScopes, or @policy directives inconsistently on polymorphic types (i.e., object types that implement interface types) are impacted. This issue is fixed in versions 1.61.12 and 2.8.1.

  • Apr 9, 2025The Apollo Router Core is a configurable, high-performance graph router written in Rust to run a federated supergraph that uses Apollo Federation 2.CVE-2025-32380 · Other software · apollographql · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

The Apollo Router Core is a configurable, high-performance graph router written in Rust to run a federated supergraph that uses Apollo Federation 2. A vulnerability in Apollo Router's usage of Apollo Compiler allowed queries with deeply nested and reused named fragments to be prohibitively expensive to validate. This could lead to excessive resource consumption and denial of service. Apollo Router's usage of Apollo Compiler has been updated so that validation logic processes each named fragment only once, preventing redundant traversal. This has been remediated in apollo-router versions 1.61.2 and 2.1.1.

The Apollo Router Core is a configurable, high-performance graph router written in Rust to run a federated supergraph that uses Apollo Federation 2. Prior to 1.61.2 and 2.1.1, a vulnerability in Apollo Router allowed queries with deeply nested and reused named fragments to be prohibitively expensive to query plan, specifically during named fragment expansion. Named fragments were being expanded once per fragment spread during query planning, leading to exponential resource usage when deeply nested and reused fragments were involved. This could lead to excessive resource consumption and denial of service. This has been remediated in apollo-router versions 1.61.2 and 2.1.1.
