Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel: ethosu: Don't read the U65 rounding mode as a storage mode Bits 15:14 of NPU_SET_{ICVE-2026-98143 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel: ethosu: Don't read the U65 rounding mode as a storage mode Bits 15:14 of NPU_SET_{IFM,OFM}_PRECISION select the activation storage mode on U85 only. On U65 the same field holds the rounding mode, and the command stream parser has read it as a storage mode since the driver was added. That went unnoticed while unknown values fell through the switch, but now that they are rejected, every U65 command stream that asks for natural rounding (2) fails CMDSTREAM_BO_CREATE with -EINVAL. Mesa emits it for average pooling, concatenation, split, unpack, strided slice, LUT and argmax, which is 72 failures of the Teflon test suite on an i.MX93. Truncating rounding (1) is misread as well: it picks the two-tile address path and computes a bogus feature map size from tile bases the command stream never set. Read the field as a storage mode only on the hardware where it is one.

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel: ethosu: Ensure cmd stream ends with a stop op While the QSIZE register setting shouCVE-2026-97913 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel: ethosu: Ensure cmd stream ends with a stop op While the QSIZE register setting should prevent an out of bounds access of the command stream, it is not clear whether the h/w generates an interrupt in this case as is required (to prevent a timeout). As a stop op is expected end of the command stream, let's just ensure it is present. A stop op in the middle of the command stream also makes no sense.

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel: ethosu: Ensure SRAM size is 0 on mapping failure On a mapping failure of the SRAM, CVE-2026-97912 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel: ethosu: Ensure SRAM size is 0 on mapping failure On a mapping failure of the SRAM, the SRAM size is left as non-zero. The probe will succeed as the error return is not checked since having SRAM is not a hard requirement. The non-zero size allows jobs to access SRAM which is left pointing to physical base address 0x0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel: ethosu: Ensure SRAM region size matches job It is possible for userspace to set the job SRAM size to 0, but then still have SRAM accesses in the command stream. When the job SRAM size is 0, setting the region base register is skipped and a stale base address from a prior job is used. Check the region size against the job's SRAM size instead of just the size of the SRAM. The job's SRAM size was already checked against the total SRAM size.

Sep 16, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ethosu: fix job completion fence cleanup ethosu_ioctl_submit_job() allocates done_feCVE-2026-89976 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ethosu: fix job completion fence cleanup ethosu_ioctl_submit_job() allocates done_fence before validating buffer handles. Errors after allocation call ethosu_job_err_cleanup(), which frees the job but leaks the uninitialized fence. A scheduler dependency error also lets ethosu_job_run() return before dma_fence_init(). Normal cleanup then passes a zeroed refcount to dma_fence_put(). Release done_fence in the common cleanup path and use dma_fence_was_initialized() to distinguish initialized fences from raw allocations. [robh: also fix goto]

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel: ethosu: Fix element size accounting for cmd stream validation There are 2 issues with the element size handling in the command stream validation which result in too small of a size calculated when the element size is 16/32/64 bits. For NHWC format, the element size is simply missing from the calculation. The bitfield for the element size is different between IFM/IFM2 and OFM. IFM and IFM2 encode the precision in parameter bits 2:3, while OFM uses bits 1:2.

Jun 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ethosu: fix OOB write in ethosu_gem_cmdstream_copy_and_validate() The command streamCVE-2026-53173 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ethosu: fix OOB write in ethosu_gem_cmdstream_copy_and_validate() The command stream parsing loop increments the index variable a second time when a 64-bit command word is encountered (bit 14 set), but does not re-check the loop bound before writing the second word: for (i = 0; i < size / 4; i++) { bocmds[i] = cmds[0]; if (cmd & 0x4000) { i++; bocmds[i] = cmds[1]; /* unchecked */ } } The buffer bocmds is backed by a DMA allocation of exactly size bytes from drm_gem_dma_create(ddev, size), giving valid indices [0, size/4-1]. When i == size/4 - 1 on entry to an iteration and bit 14 of cmds[0] is set, bocmds[size/4-1] is written in bounds, i is then incremented to size/4, and bocmds[size/4] writes four bytes past the end of the allocation. Userspace controls both the buffer contents and the size argument via the ioctl, making this a userspace-triggerable heap out-of-bounds write. Fix by checking the incremented index against the buffer bound before the second write and returning -EINVAL if the buffer is too small to contain the extended command.

Jun 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ethosu: fix IFM region index out-of-bounds in command stream parser NPU_SET_IFM_REGICVE-2026-53172 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ethosu: fix IFM region index out-of-bounds in command stream parser NPU_SET_IFM_REGION extracts the region index with param & 0x7f, giving a maximum value of 127. However region_size[] and output_region[] in struct ethosu_validated_cmdstream_info are both sized to NPU_BASEP_REGION_MAX (8), giving valid indices [0..7]. Every other region assignment in the same switch uses param & 0x7: NPU_SET_OFM_REGION: st.ofm.region = param & 0x7; NPU_SET_IFM2_REGION: st.ifm2.region = param & 0x7; NPU_SET_WEIGHT_REGION: st.weight[0].region = param & 0x7; NPU_SET_SCALE_REGION: st.scale[0].region = param & 0x7; The 0x7f mask on IFM is inconsistent and appears to be a typo. feat_matrix_length() and calc_sizes() use the region index directly as an array subscript into the kzalloc'd info struct: info->region_size[fm->region] = max(...); A userspace caller supplying NPU_SET_IFM_REGION with param > 7 causes a write up to 127*8 = 1016 bytes past the start of region_size[], corrupting adjacent kernel heap data. Fix by applying the same & 0x7 mask used by all other region assignments.

Jun 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ethosu: fix arithmetic issues in dma_length() dma_length() derives DMA region usage CVE-2026-53171 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ethosu: fix arithmetic issues in dma_length() dma_length() derives DMA region usage from command stream values and updates region_size[]: len = ((len + stride[0]) * size0 + stride[1]) * size1 region_size[region] = max(..., len + dma->offset) Several arithmetic issues can corrupt the derived region size: - signed stride values may underflow when added to len - intermediate multiplications may overflow - len + dma->offset may overflow during region_size updates - dma_length() error returns were not validated by the caller region_size[] is later used by ethosu_job.c to validate command stream accesses against GEM buffer sizes. Arithmetic wraparound can therefore under-report region usage and bypass the bounds validation. Fix by validating signed additions, using overflow helpers for multiplications and offset updates, and propagating dma_length() failures to the caller.

Jun 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ethosu: reject DMA commands with uninitialized length cmd_state_init() initializes tCVE-2026-53170 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ethosu: reject DMA commands with uninitialized length cmd_state_init() initializes the command state with memset(0xff), leaving dma->len at U64_MAX to signal missing setup. The only setter is NPU_SET_DMA0_LEN; if userspace omits this command and issues NPU_OP_DMA_START, dma->len remains U64_MAX. In dma_length(), a positive stride added to U64_MAX wraps to a small value. With size0 == 1, check_mul_overflow() does not trigger and dma_length() returns 0 instead of U64_MAX. The caller's U64_MAX check then passes, region_size[] stays 0, and the bounds check in ethosu_job.c is bypassed, allowing hardware to execute DMA with stale physical addresses. Fix by checking for U64_MAX at the start of dma_length() before any arithmetic, consistent with the sentinel value used throughout the driver to detect uninitialized fields.

Jun 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ethosu: reject NPU_OP_RESIZE commands from userspace NPU_OP_RESIZE is a U85-only comCVE-2026-53169 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ethosu: reject NPU_OP_RESIZE commands from userspace NPU_OP_RESIZE is a U85-only command that the driver does not yet implement. The existing WARN_ON(1) placeholder fires unconditionally whenever userspace submits this command via DRM_IOCTL_ETHOSU_GEM_CREATE, causing unbounded kernel log spam. If panic_on_warn is set the kernel panics, giving any unprivileged user with access to the DRM device a trivial denial-of-service primitive. Replace the WARN_ON(1) with an explicit -EINVAL return so the ioctl rejects the command before it reaches hardware.

Jan 12, 2026RIOT OS versions up to and including 2026.01-devel-317 contain a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the ethos utility due to missing bounds checking wCVE-2026-22214 · Other software · RIOT · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.8
RIOT OS versions up to and including 2026.01-devel-317 contain a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the ethos utility due to missing bounds checking when processing incoming serial frame data. The vulnerability occurs in the _handle_char() function, where incoming frame bytes are appended to a fixed-size stack buffer without verifying that the current write index remains within bounds. An attacker capable of sending crafted serial or TCP-framed input can cause the current write index to exceed the buffer size, resulting in a write past the end of the stack buffer. This condition leads to memory corruption and application crash.

Feb 8, 2023Helm is a tool that streamlines installing and managing Kubernetes applications.`getHostByName` is a Helm template function introduced in Helm v3.CVE-2023-25165 · Other software · helm · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3
Helm is a tool that streamlines installing and managing Kubernetes applications.`getHostByName` is a Helm template function introduced in Helm v3. The function is able to accept a hostname and return an IP address for that hostname. To get the IP address the function performs a DNS lookup. The DNS lookup happens when used with `helm install|upgrade|template` or when the Helm SDK is used to render a chart. Information passed into the chart can be disclosed to the DNS servers used to lookup the IP address. For example, a malicious chart could inject `getHostByName` into a chart in order to disclose values to a malicious DNS server. The issue has been fixed in Helm 3.11.1. Prior to using a chart with Helm verify the `getHostByName` function is not being used in a template to disclose any information you do not want passed to DNS servers.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
