In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vc4: hdmi: Move packet RAM enable to PM runtime Audio can be triggered by the HPD handler and start up before video has been restored, calling vc4_hdmi_write_infoframe() for the audio infoframe. vc4_hdmi_write_infoframe() needs Packet RAM to be on to store the infoframe, however, if the video hasn't been enabled, vc4_hdmi_encoder_post_crtc_enable() hasn't been called and therefore, the Packet RAM can be disabled by the time vc4_hdmi_write_infoframe() executes, causing the following splat: [ 201.570266] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [ 201.570293] Packet RAM has to be on to store the packet. • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: skip eviction of a BO with no resource xe_evict_flags() switches on tbo->resource-CVE-2026-99209 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: skip eviction of a BO with no resource xe_evict_flags() switches on tbo->resource->mem_type to choose an eviction placement. An xe BO can reach eviction with no ttm.resource, e.g. an imported dma-buf BO whose resource was freed during teardown while its attachment is still live: the exporter then invalidates it via xe_dma_buf_move_notify() -> xe_bo_evict(), and the switch dereferences a NULL resource and faults. A BO with no resource has nothing placed or mapped, so there is nothing to evict. Return an empty placement (num_placement = 0), mirroring the handling already used for non-xe scatter-gather BOs just above; ttm_bo_validate() then takes the pipeline-gutting path and returns 0. Without the fix the xe_dma_buf@xe_test_dmabuf_move_notify_no_resource dynamic live selftest will fail with below stack. • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/oa: Zero OA buffer at allocation ttm_bo_type_kernel BOs are not guaranteed to be zeCVE-2026-99208 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/oa: Zero OA buffer at allocation ttm_bo_type_kernel BOs are not guaranteed to be zeroed on allocation and may contain data from previously freed pages. Since the OA buffer is mmap'able by userspace, this can expose stale kernel memory contents. Streams opened with DRM_XE_OA_PROPERTY_OA_DISABLED allocate the OA buffer without calling xe_oa_init_oa_buffer(). Zero the buffer at allocation to prevent information disclosure through mmap. The existing zeroing in xe_oa_init_oa_buffer() remains necessary for zero report-id/timestamp detection on enable/re-enable. (cherry picked from commit 126c4c5388f9311a390b9b254a835b0cf0f55331)

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix NULL sink dereference in USB4 bandwidth functions allocate_usb4_bandwCVE-2026-99151 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix NULL sink dereference in USB4 bandwidth functions allocate_usb4_bandwidth_for_stream() and allocate_usb4_bandwidth() both use ASSERT(stream->sink) before dereferencing stream->sink->link. ASSERT is compiled out in production builds, so a NULL stream->sink causes a NULL pointer dereference. link_set_dpms_off() already guards two earlier accesses to stream->sink with explicit NULL checks, confirming that stream->sink can legitimately be NULL. The subsequent call to deallocate_usb4_bandwidth() had no equivalent guard. Replace the ASSERT() calls with proper NULL checks that return false early, and add a matching stream->sink guard at the call site in link_set_dpms_off() consistent with the surrounding pattern. v2: Keep the existing ASSERT() calls for diagnostics (to report unexpected NULL sink), and add explicit NULL checks that return false before dereferencing stream->sink. Also add a matching stream->sink guard at the deallocation call site in link_set_dpms_off(). (Alex) (cherry picked from commit 98029a0ce61feb52c563f65349dd9b25f672e355)

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: don't drop the runtime PM reference twice in amdgpu_gpr amdgpu_debugfs_gpr_reaCVE-2026-99150 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: don't drop the runtime PM reference twice in amdgpu_gpr amdgpu_debugfs_gpr_read() drops its runtime PM reference right after reading the wave registers. When copying them to userspace fails, it jumps to the err label, which drops the reference a second time. A read into a bad buffer on Navi31 either steals a reference somebody else holds (power/runtime_usage goes from 1 to 0) or underflows the count: amdgpu 0000:03:00.0: Runtime PM usage count underflow! The registers are already in the kernel buffer at that point, so finish the hardware access first and copy the buffer with a single copy_to_user() instead of the put_user() loop with its own error path. • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: keep the eviction fence until the last handle is closed amdgpu_gem_object_closCVE-2026-99148 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: keep the eviction fence until the last handle is closed amdgpu_gem_object_close() detaches the user queue eviction fence from the BO before it checks bo_va->ref_count, so closing any handle of a BO removes the fence, even when the file still has another handle to the BO and the bo_va with its GPU mappings stays. The BO can then be evicted without suspending the user queues of the file, which keep accessing it through mappings that are only marked for update. Seen on navi31 with a SDMA user queue: a BO opened twice in the same file (GEM_FLINK + GEM_OPEN) loses its eviction fence when the second handle is closed (traced attach/detach of the fence): attach bo=ffff8c78a6c84c00 GEM_CLOSE handle=7 detach bo=ffff8c78a6c84c00 while handle 6 and the mapping are still in use. Only detach the fence when the last reference to the bo_va goes away, matching amdgpu_gem_object_open(), which attaches it only when the bo_va is created. With this the fence stays until the file is closed. (cherry picked from commit 8387982f03d4026b7dc11b0b5e3118298eee4d6a)

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/exec: don't immediately add prelocked obj to array of locked objs When a contention isCVE-2026-99147 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/exec: don't immediately add prelocked obj to array of locked objs When a contention is detected the drm_exec object grabs a reference to the contended object, unlocks all other objects and pre-locks the contended one before anything else. The problem is that it is possible that this pre-locked object was about to be destroyed and drm_exec is now holding the last reference to it. So we never actually see this pre-locked object again to be explicitly locked and so also never reserve a slot for a dma_fence object on it. Should the driver now use drm_exec_for_each_locked_object() to add a new fence to all locked objects we eventually see a warning or even a BUG_ON() to prevent random memory corruption. Fix this by keeping the prelocked object out of the array of locked objs until it was explicitly mentioned by the driver again. If the prelocked object is never mentioned again by the driver just unlock and drop the reference at the end of the locking loop.

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: Don't transfer shrinker pages for pinned bos on purgeable state change Pinned bos CVE-2026-99145 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: Don't transfer shrinker pages for pinned bos on purgeable state change Pinned bos have their pages removed from the shrinker's shrinkable / purgeable counts on pin, and added back on unpin according to the bo's purgeable state at that time. However, xe_bo_set_purgeable_shrinker() unconditionally transfers pages between the shrinkable and purgeable counts. If the purgeable state of a pinned bo changes, for example by userspace madvising DONTNEED on a VMA of a bo that is also pinned as a scanout buffer, this underflows one count and, after unpin, leaves the other one permanently inflated. Only update the purgeable flag for pinned bos, and leave the page accounting to unpin. (cherry picked from commit afe6bc012034123fd838328668e609bf57e46bd3)

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: free the userptr ranges when a CS fails after parser_bos amdgpu_cs_parser_bos(CVE-2026-99106 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: free the userptr ranges when a CS fails after parser_bos amdgpu_cs_parser_bos() allocates an HMM range for every userptr entry of the BO list and looks up the user pages. Those ranges are only freed when amdgpu_cs_parser_bos() itself fails or when amdgpu_cs_submit() checks them under the notifier lock. If amdgpu_cs_patch_jobs(), amdgpu_cs_vm_handling(), amdgpu_cs_sync_rings() or the early part of amdgpu_cs_submit() fails, nothing frees them: neither amdgpu_cs_parser_fini() nor amdgpu_bo_list_free() touch e->range. Each such CS then leaks the range, its hmm_pfns array (8 bytes per page of the userptr BO) and the BO reference the range holds. An IB on a ring that patches the CS in place (e.g. VCN) with an unmapped va_start fails in amdgpu_cs_patch_ibs() and takes this path. Free the ranges on those error paths. Ranges amdgpu_cs_submit() already dropped are NULL, so freeing them again is a no-op. (cherry picked from commit c52a9542ed7cfd527feb938bd0accada2ac8d267)

  • Oct 26, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vc4: drain the hangcheck timer and works on V3D unbind Nothing stops the hangcheck timCVE-2026-99095 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vc4: drain the hangcheck timer and works on V3D unbind Nothing stops the hangcheck timer that submitted jobs arm, or the job_done_work that the render-done interrupt queues, at teardown: vc4_irq_disable() cancels only overflow_mem_work, and vc4_gem_destroy() runs from the drm-managed release, after vc4_v3d_unbind() has already uninstalled the V3D interrupt and cleared vc4->v3d. A timer still armed by then reads V3D registers through the NULL vc4->v3d pointer, and the late callbacks run on the vc4_dev embedding them after it has been freed. Drain them in vc4_v3d_unbind(): shut the timer down and cancel reset_work before the interrupt is taken down, because its vc4_irq_reset() re-enables it, then flush job_done_work so that completions queued at teardown still release their jobs. This issue was found by an in-house static analysis tool.

  • Oct 26, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: serialize vblank counter reads against GPU reset The vblank counter callback rCVE-2026-99090 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: serialize vblank counter reads against GPU reset The vblank counter callback reads display registers and scanout position without holding reset_domain->sem. During GPU recovery, display commit work can call the callback while reset owns the semaphore for writing. The hardware access then triggers the lockdep_assert_held() in amdgpu_device_skip_hw_access() and sets TAINT_WARN when lockdep is enabled. Try to acquire the reset semaphore for reading before accessing the hardware, and hold it across the counter and scanout-position reads. If reset is already in progress, return DRM's cached software vblank count instead. This avoids blocking behind reset and avoids accessing display hardware while it is being reset. The cached count is less accurate than the hardware count, but is used only when reset prevents a safe hardware read. This addresses the reset-time warning from this vblank path; it does not suppress or fix unrelated lockdep warnings. (cherry picked from commit 51a4359f7431a4be5e42803c8bdaf7e0e5be2934)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/fb-helper: defer setup when fbdev_probe() fails, not just on -EAGAIN __drm_fb_helper_initial_config_and_unlock() calls drm_client_modeset_probe() first, which already fills in each mode_set->mode/num_connectors for every connected output, and only afterwards calls drm_fb_helper_single_fb_probe() to create fb_helper->fb and wire it into those mode_sets via drm_setup_crtcs_fb(). If drm_fb_helper_single_fb_probe() fails with anything other than -EAGAIN (e.g. dev->driver->fbdev_probe() itself fails), the function bails out before drm_setup_crtcs_fb() runs and before setting fb_helper->deferred_setup. The client is left with mode_sets that have a mode and connectors but mode_set->fb == NULL, and nothing marks this fb_helper as needing a retry. __drm_fb_helper_restore_fbdev_mode_unlocked() only skips committing when fb_helper->deferred_setup is set, so a later .restore() call (drm_lastclose() on process exit, in this report) commits the stale mode_set through drm_client_modeset_commit() -> drm_client_modeset_commit_atomic() -> __drm_atomic_helper_set_config(), which hits WARN_ON(!set->fb). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915/gem: Prevent overstepping exec array boundary It is possible for eb_relocate_parse_slow() to call kvfree() on entries outside the original exec array during following scenario inside eb_relocate_parse_slow(): 1) eb_copy_relocations() allocates as many as eb->buffer_count copies for exec entries; 2) eb_parse() appends up to two VMAs, right after incrementing eb->buffer_count; 3) cleanup under "out" label uses this incremented buffer_count to release relocation pointers from exec array via kvfree(), not from VMA array. To amend this problem, ensure that relocation cleanup uses the original exec object count, excluding the VMAs appended by the command parser. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/imagination: Size page table preallocation by device address Commit 0a8224058a58 ("drm/imagination: Fix page count for page table for map() interface") passed the device address to pvr_mmu_op_context_create(), but the preallocation is still sized from device_addr + sgt_offset with an exclusive end. The offset into the object's pages has no place in a device-virtual range, and the exclusive end allocates one table too many when the range ends on a table boundary. Count the tables from device_addr and the inclusive end of the range. The new calculation does not take page table indices into account. This fixes another issue with the previous implementation, where the difference between start and end indices could underflow when a mapping crossed a page table boundary. This would lead to the driver preallocating a huge number of MMU pages, exhausting system memory and triggering an out of memory panic. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/panthor: validate userspace queue count against initialized firmware slot count In panthor_drv.c:panthor_ioctl_group_create(), the queue count is validated against the hardcoded maximum: if (!args->queues.count || args->queues.count > MAX_CS_PER_CSG) return -EINVAL; However, if the firmware reports fewer slots than MAX_CS_PER_CSG, panthor_fw_init_ifaces() will only initialize that smaller number of stream interfaces. If unprivileged userspace requests more queues than the firmware reported (but no more than MAX_CS_PER_CSG), cs_slot_prog_locked() fetches an uninitialized stream interface and may crash when dereferencing cs_iface->input->ringbuf_base.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/i2c: cancel the client work on remove xe_i2c_notifier() stores the DesignWare adapter in i2c->adapter and schedules i2c->work when the adapter is registered under the xe I2C platform device, and xe_i2c_client_work() then instantiates the AMC client device on that adapter. xe_i2c_remove() tears down the AMC, unregisters the client devices, the bus notifier and the adapter platform device, but it never drains i2c->work. A work item that is still queued or running when the adapter is unregistered dereferences i2c->adapter in i2c_new_client_device() after platform_device_unregister() has released the adapter. The work item is also embedded in the devm-allocated struct xe_i2c, so a work item still queued after the drm device devm unwind frees that allocation runs its callback on freed memory. The bus notifier is the only thing that schedules this work, and it is unregistered after the client devices. An instance that is still queued when the teardown runs can therefore write i2c->client[XE_I2C_CLIENT_AMC] while the loop is unregistering and clearing the same array, and an AMC client it instantiates late is on

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: Fix shrinker accounting double-subtraction on nested external pins xe_bo_pin_external() and xe_bo_unpin_external() support nested pins, since the underlying ttm_bo_pin()/ttm_bo_unpin() maintain a pin_count refcount rather than a boolean. However, the shrinker accounting calls xe_ttm_tt_account_subtract() and xe_ttm_tt_account_add() are invoked unconditionally on every pin_external()/unpin_external() call, instead of only on the transition into and out of the pinned state. An external BO (dma-buf) can be pinned more than once while already pinned, for example when it has multiple attachments/importers, each independently calling xe_bo_pin_external(). Each such nested pin subtracts the BO's pages from the shrinker's accounting again, even though the BO's pages were already removed from consideration by the first pin. Symmetrically, each nested unpin adds them back again before the BO is actually unpinned. This desynchronizes the shrinker's page and object counts from reality, and since they are declared as signed long but interpreted as unsigned long in xe_shrinker_count(), the underflow can turn into an e

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: Fix stale pinned_link entry when fb-pin performs the final unpin xe_bo_pin_external() and xe_bo_unpin_external() maintain the bo's pinned_link list membership in xe->pinned.late.external, based on whether the current call is the outermost pin or the final unpin. However, the same external bo's pin_count can also be raised and lowered directly by __xe_pin_fb_vma()/__xe_unpin_fb_vma(), which pin the bo as a display scanout buffer without going through xe_bo_pin_external()/xe_bo_unpin_external() at all, and have no notion of, or ownership over, pinned_link. If a bo is pinned both externally (e.g. dma-buf export) and as an fb, and the external unpin happens first, xe_bo_unpin_external() correctly observes pin_count > 1 and leaves the bo on pinned_link. When the fb unpin later performs the true last unpin (pin_count 1 -> 0), it never touches pinned_link, leaving the bo linked on xe->pinned.late.external indefinitely. Once the bo is subsequently freed, this stale list entry points into freed memory, corrupting the list and risking a use-after-free the next time the list is walked or spliced. The backup object

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vc4: Disable the V3D interrupt across runtime suspend vc4_irq_disable() masks the V3D interrupt sources and then calls synchronize_irq() before the V3D is powered down. However, by itself, this is not enough to quiesce the interrupt handler. synchronize_irq() waits for handlers that have already set IRQD_IRQ_INPROGRESS, and for irqchips reporting IRQCHIP_STATE_ACTIVE. A GIC interrupt chip is able to mark an interrupt active as soon as a CPU acknowledges it, so there these checks cover the whole dispatch path. On RPi 0-3, however, the interrupt controller is ARMCTRL, which has no active state. A CPU that has read the hwirq out of the pending register but has not yet reached handle_level_irq() stays invisible to synchronize_irq(). During a power transition, vc4_irq() may therefore run after the power domain is off, where every V3D register read will return 0xdeadbeef. 0xdeadbeef has FLDONE, FRDONE and OUTOMEM set. This problem doesn't trigger NULL pointer dereference issues only because the functions vc4_irq_finish_bin_job() and vc4_irq_finish_render_job() return early when there is no job pointer, but OUTOME

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: harden adjust_idledly() against divide-by-zero and overflow adjust_idledly() has several corner-case issues flagged during review: 1. If xe_gt_clock_init() failed to recognise the crystal clock, gt->info.timestamp_base is 0, which makes idledly_units_ps also 0. The subsequent DIV_ROUND_CLOSEST(..., idledly_units_ps) is then a divide-by-zero and panics the kernel. 2. The tick-to-ns conversions are done in u32: idledly * idledly_units_ps, (maxcnt - 1) * 1000 Both overflow u32 before DIV_ROUND_CLOSEST() sees them. 3. If IDLE_WAIT_TIME reads back as 0, maxcnt evaluates to 0 and the maxcnt - 1 clamp wraps to 0xFFFFFFFF in u32. 4. The register only stores whole ticks, so the clamped ns value has to be converted to ticks and back. DIV_ROUND_CLOSEST() can round that conversion up past maxcnt: maxcnt = 640 ns, one tick = 666664 ps clamp: maxcnt - 1 = 639 ns ns -> ticks: 639000 / 666664 = 0.958 -> rounds to 1 tick tick -> ns: 1 * 666664 / 1000 = 667 ns 667 ns is programmed into RING_IDLEDLY, but 667 >= max

In that case the recovery loop keeps testing the same location while holding the CPER ring mutex. This can hang the worker that is writing the next CPER record. Detect a no-progress rptr update and reset the CPER ring to an empty state instead. This drops the corrupt contents and lets the writer leave the recovery path without spinning.

  • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/mediatek: Fix ovl adaptor platform device leak mtk_drm_probe() creates an OVL adaptor CVE-2026-98782 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/mediatek: Fix ovl adaptor platform device leak mtk_drm_probe() creates an OVL adaptor platform device with platform_device_register_data() when the display pipeline requires the OVL adaptor. If a later initialization step fails, the probe error path releases the DRM resources without unregistering the already registered OVL adaptor device. The normal remove path likewise leaves the device registered after the DRM driver is unbound. Keep track of whether the OVL adaptor was successfully registered and unregister it on probe failure. Also recover the platform device from the stored DDP component device and unregister it during normal removal. The issue was identified by a static analysis tool I developed and confirmed by manual review.

  • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/mediatek: Fix pdev reference leak in mtk_drm_bind() When the device is not the mmsys mCVE-2026-98781 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/mediatek: Fix pdev reference leak in mtk_drm_bind() When the device is not the mmsys master, mtk_drm_bind() returns early after taking a reference on the disp-mutex device via of_find_device_by_node(), without ever dropping it: mtk_drm_unbind() only puts mutex_dev for the master. Drop the reference before returning from the non-master path.

  • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix IP instance memory leak on kobject add failure amdgpu_discovery_sysfs_ips(CVE-2026-98780 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix IP instance memory leak on kobject add failure amdgpu_discovery_sysfs_ips() allocates ip_hw_instance with kzalloc_flex() and initializes its embedded kobject before calling kobject_add(). If kobject_add() fails, the return value is ignored and execution continues without dropping the initial kobject reference. The failed kobject is not retained in the kset list, so the normal sysfs teardown path cannot find it. As a result, ip_hw_instance_release() is never called and the ip_hw_instance allocation is leaked. Call kobject_put() when kobject_add() fails so the initial reference is dropped and ip_hw_instance_release() can free the allocation. Keep the existing best-effort sysfs behavior by continuing with the remaining IP entries after the failed registration. The issue was identified by a static analysis tool I developed and confirmed by manual review. (cherry picked from commit 5c75fbcca8af1096d8d9415b91d8ea6212c22ee1)

  • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix ACP MFD device leak on init failure acp_hw_init() registers ACP child deviCVE-2026-98779 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix ACP MFD device leak on init failure acp_hw_init() registers ACP child devices with mfd_add_devices() before attaching them to the ACP power domain and initializing the hardware. If attaching a child to the power domain fails, or if the ACP reset or clock enable operation times out, the failure path frees only the source cell, resource, and platform-data allocations. The child platform devices already registered by mfd_add_devices() remain registered and are never released. Remove the children from the power domain and unregister the MFD devices on failures that occur after mfd_add_devices() succeeds. Keep mfd_add_devices() failures on the existing cleanup path since the MFD core already rolls back partially registered children itself. The issue was identified by a static analysis tool I developed and confirmed by manual review. (cherry picked from commit 63da68d6a2279ec945581c990c5a59a5ae8b5560)

  • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/nouveau/clk: fix list cursor use after loop in nvkm_clk_ustate_update If list_for_eachCVE-2026-98623 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/nouveau/clk: fix list cursor use after loop in nvkm_clk_ustate_update If list_for_each_entry() exits without hitting a break then "pstate" is not a valid pstate pointer. Introduce a "found" variable instead. The check is reachable from userspace: nvkm_clk_ustate_update() takes the pstate id straight from the 'pstate' debugfs file, so requesting an id that is not in clk->states - or any id at all when the perf tables are broken and the list is empty - makes the pstate->pstate != req test dereference the list head cast to a struct nvkm_pstate, which is an out-of-bounds read. • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/virtio: fix object leak when drm_gem_handle_create() fails virtio_gpu_gem_create() ownCVE-2026-98609 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/virtio: fix object leak when drm_gem_handle_create() fails virtio_gpu_gem_create() owns the reference taken by virtio_gpu_object_create(). On the drm_gem_handle_create() error path it calls drm_gem_object_release() instead of dropping that reference. drm_gem_object_release() is the inverse of drm_gem_object_init() and does not touch the reference count or call obj->funcs->free(), so it is only correct as the last step of a destructor, as in virtio_gpu_cleanup_object(). Using it here leaves the bo at refcount 1 with no remaining reference, so virtio_gpu_free_object() never runs and the shmem pages, sg table and virtio_gpu_object are leaked. Since virtio_gpu_object_create() has already set bo->created, VIRTIO_GPU_CMD_RESOURCE_UNREF is not queued either, leaking the host-side resource and the resource id. drm_gem_handle_create_tail() drops the handle reference on all of its internal error paths, so the caller only has to drop its own. Use drm_gem_object_put(), matching the success path below.
