  • Oct 30, 2026Insertion of sensitive information into a log file in Amazon Kinesis Producer Library for Java before 1.0.8, when the library's logger is configured at DEBUG loCVE-2026-119117 · Other software · AWS · reported by ff89ba41-3aa1-4d27-914a-91399e9639e5High 8.2

Insertion of sensitive information into a log file in Amazon Kinesis Producer Library for Java before 1.0.8, when the library's logger is configured at DEBUG log level, might allow local users to obtain the AWS credentials that the library resolved for the application. Separately, affected versions of the library pass these credentials to the native child process as command-line arguments, where a local user can read them from the process argument list. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 1.0.8 or later, rotate any long-term IAM user keys, revoke active role sessions where needed, and restrict or redact log data written by an affected version. 0.x users should migrate to software.amazon.kinesis:amazon-kinesis-producer 1.0.8 or later.

  • Oct 28, 2026Gearboy is a Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Super Game Boy emulator and debugger with an embedded MCP server.CVE-2026-61542 · Other software · drhelius · reported by GitHubHigh 8.6

Gearboy is a Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Super Game Boy emulator and debugger with an embedded MCP server. Gearsystem, the affected component, has an optional `--mcp-http` mode that accepts unauthenticated MCP requests from any reachable network peer despite localhost-only documentation and logging. In the described `platforms/shared/desktop/mcp/mcp_transport.h` transport, the socket binds `INADDR_ANY`, normally on port 7777, and POST requests to `/mcp` reach dispatch without `Authorization`, `Host`, or `Origin` checks. Responses and OPTIONS advertise `Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *`. A peer can initialize an MCP session and invoke exposed emulator/debugging operations; even a garbage bearer token does not block dispatch, while a loopback-bind negative control prevents network access. The reported impact is bounded to the emulator process, debugging state, and local files accepted as media, rather than demonstrated host code execution. Gearboy 3.8.7 contains a patch.

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2/dlm: Protect the recovery list during debugfs reads Recovery participant records musCVE-2026-99204 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2/dlm: Protect the recovery list during debugfs reads Recovery participant records must remain alive while debug_state_print() walks reco.node_data and formats their fields. The formatter holds dlm->spinlock, but the recovery participant list is protected by dlm_reco_state_lock. In particular, dlm_destroy_recovery_area() detaches the list under dlm_reco_state_lock and frees the detached records after releasing it. A concurrent debugfs open can therefore read freed memory. Protect the participant traversal and field reads in debug_state_print() with dlm_reco_state_lock, matching the existing list writers. This also serializes the traversal against list_add_tail() during recovery-area initialization. Make the existing lock available to the debug code through dlmcommon.h; the lock remains internal to the OCFS2 DLM module. Release dlm->spinlock after formatting the other domain state and before acquiring dlm_reco_state_lock, so the debug reader does not nest the two locks. Leave recovery list insertion, detachment and freeing unchanged. KASAN report as below: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in debug_state

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: don't drop the runtime PM reference twice in amdgpu_gpr amdgpu_debugfs_gpr_reaCVE-2026-99150 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: don't drop the runtime PM reference twice in amdgpu_gpr amdgpu_debugfs_gpr_read() drops its runtime PM reference right after reading the wave registers. When copying them to userspace fails, it jumps to the err label, which drops the reference a second time. A read into a bad buffer on Navi31 either steals a reference somebody else holds (power/runtime_usage goes from 1 to 0) or underflows the count: amdgpu 0000:03:00.0: Runtime PM usage count underflow! The registers are already in the kernel buffer at that point, so finish the hardware access first and copy the buffer with a single copy_to_user() instead of the put_user() loop with its own error path. • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: minstrel_ht: validate fixed rate index The fixed_rate_idx debugfs file is CVE-2026-98703 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: minstrel_ht: validate fixed rate index The fixed_rate_idx debugfs file is a plain u32 attribute, so any value can be written to it. minstrel_ht_update_stats() then copies the value into mi->max_tp_rate[] and mi->max_prob_rate, and minstrel_ht_set_rate() uses MI_RATE_GROUP()/MI_RATE_IDX() to index minstrel_mcs_groups[] (42 entries) and mi->groups[].rates[] (10 entries) with it. Writing e.g. 65535 selects group 4095 and rate index 15, far outside both arrays. The out-of-bounds entries are dereferenced and updated as struct minstrel_rate_stats (retry counts, etc.), so the invalid index corrupts adjacent kernel memory. With CONFIG_UBSAN_BOUNDS the access is reported as an array-index-out-of-bounds in minstrel_ht_set_rate(). Only a valid group/rate pair, or U32_MAX to disable fixed rate processing, can be used safely, so reject any other value when the debugfs file is written. The file is only reachable through a root-only debugfs mount, so this is not a privilege boundary. The out-of-bounds access is still a bug that must not be reachable through a writable debugfs attribute.

A party whose data reaches a log message could hide the rest of that record. Only applications on Windows that use OutputDebugStringAppender are affected. This issue affects Apache log4net: from 1.2.9 before 3.5.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.5.0, which fixes the issue.

Kasa EC70 v4 and EC71 v4 do not logically disable the production debug interface at the firmware or chip level and do not lock the bootloader.  Although the debug traces are physically severed during manufacturing, an attacker with physical access can restore the connection, interrupt the boot process, and manipulate boot parameters to enter a non-standard initialization path that exposes an unauthenticated root shell during startup. Successful exploitation may allow an attacker with physical access to obtain root-level command access during device startup, resulting in loss of confidentiality, integrity, and availability for the affected device. Exploitation requires device disassembly, restoration of the severed debug connection, and manipulation of the boot process.

  • Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (corsair-cpro) Create debugfs entries after hwmon registration ccp_debugfs_init() rCVE-2026-97968 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (corsair-cpro) Create debugfs entries after hwmon registration ccp_debugfs_init() registers debugfs files whose private data is the devm allocated ccp. It runs before hwmon_device_register_with_info(), so when that registration fails, ccp_probe() returns with the files still in place. The HID core then frees ccp, and ccp_remove() is not called for a failed probe, so nothing removes them later either. Reading one of the files dereferences the freed pointer. Create the debugfs entries only after the hwmon device has been registered, so no failing path can leave them behind. The two version queries stay where they are. They send USB commands without holding ccp->mutex, which is only safe as long as nothing else can call send_usb_cmd(); once the hwmon device is registered its callbacks can do so concurrently. Only the debugfs creation moves, and it is told which queries succeeded.
