Hugging Face Datasets through 5.1.0 contains an insecure deserialization vulnerability that allows attackers to execute arbitrary Python code by crafting a malicious pickle file loaded through the deprecated pandas packaged builder. Attackers can supply a pickle-backed dataset that is processed by Pandas._generate_tables via pandas.read_pickle() without validation, so when a victim calls datasets.load_dataset("pandas", data_files=...), the embedded __reduce__ payload executes code with the victim process's privileges.

kedro-datasets from 9.3.0 through 9.6.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in MatplotlibDataset.save() that allows attackers to write files outside the dataset directory by supplying absolute plot names. Because validate_sub_path() strips leading slashes while pathlib's join discards the base path, attackers can create or overwrite files anywhere the process can write.

  • Sep 16, 2026Kedro-Datasets provides data connectors for Kedro.CVE-2026-62997 · Other software · kedro-org · reported by GitHubHigh 7.7

Kedro-Datasets provides data connectors for Kedro. From version 5.0.0 until 9.5.0, kedro_datasets_experimental.pytorch.PyTorchDataset in kedro-datasets loads .pt model files with torch.load without enforcing weights_only=True, and user-supplied load_args are silently dropped. On PyTorch versions earlier than 2.6, a malicious pickle-backed model from an attacker-influenced shared registry, downloaded checkpoint, or partitioned external source can execute arbitrary code when a Kedro pipeline loads it. The issue affects only the opt-in kedro_datasets_experimental component and does not affect users who load only trusted files. This issue is fixed in version 9.5.0.

  • Sep 3, 2026node-csv is a full-featured CSV parser with a simple API that is tested against large datasets.CVE-2026-85063 · Other software · adaltas · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

node-csv is a full-featured CSV parser with a simple API that is tested against large datasets. Prior to 7.0.2, csv-parse with the columns and group_columns_by_name options enabled treats a duplicate __proto__ header as an existing property in packages/csv-parse/lib/api/index.js, assigns an attacker-controlled array through obj['__proto__'], and replaces the parsed record object's prototype. A malicious CSV header can therefore inject inherited array values into the returned record, hide those inherited values from JSON serialization, and affect property enumeration and type or shape checks in applications that process the record. This issue is fixed in version 7.0.2.

  • Aug 21, 2026FiftyOne is an open-source platform for refining high-quality datasets and visual AI models.CVE-2026-53656 · Other software · voxel51 · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3

FiftyOne is an open-source platform for refining high-quality datasets and visual AI models. Prior to 1.17.0, the FiftyOne App/API server in fiftyone/server/app.py and the /media route in fiftyone/server/routes/media.py unconditionally return Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *. Because the embedded server is local and unauthenticated, a malicious website visited by the user can read cross-origin responses. The /media endpoint accepts a filesystem path, allowing a drive-by page to read files accessible to the server process and exfiltrate them without additional clicks. The allowed_origins configuration and FIFTYONE_ALLOWED_ORIGINS environment variable now make cross-origin access explicit, while the default policy is same-origin. This issue is fixed in version 1.17.0.

Aeon load_human_activity_segmentation_datasets Code Injection Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of aeon. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the load_human_activity_segmentation_datasets method. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied string before using it to execute Python code. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-29160.

  • Jul 24, 2026Datasets through 5.0.0, fixed in commit f989ef9, contains a path traversal vulnerability in folder-based dataset builders where the file_name metadata field is CVE-2026-66007 · Other software · huggingface · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9

Datasets through 5.0.0, fixed in commit f989ef9, contains a path traversal vulnerability in folder-based dataset builders where the file_name metadata field is not properly validated before being joined to the dataset directory. Attackers can supply crafted file_name values with directory traversal sequences to read arbitrary local files, which are then embedded into output when save_to_disk or push_to_hub is called.

  • Apr 7, 2026Kedro-Datasets is a Kendo plugin providing data connectors.CVE-2026-35492 · Other software · kedro-org · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

Kedro-Datasets is a Kendo plugin providing data connectors. Prior to 9.3.0, PartitionedDataset in kedro-datasets was vulnerable to path traversal. Partition IDs were concatenated directly with the dataset base path without validation. An attacker or malicious input containing .. components in a partition ID could cause files to be written outside the configured dataset directory, potentially overwriting arbitrary files on the filesystem. Users of PartitionedDataset with any storage backend (local filesystem, S3, GCS, etc.) are affected. This vulnerability is fixed in 9.3.0.

In Eclipse Dataspace Components versions 0.1.3 to 0.9.0, the Connector component filters which datasets (= data offers) another party can see in a requested catalog, to ensure that only authorized parties are able to view restricted offers. However, there is the possibility to request a single dataset, which should be subject to the same filtering process, but currently is missing the correct filtering. This enables parties to potentially see datasets they should not have access to, thereby exposing sensitive information. Exploiting this vulnerability requires knowing the ID of a restricted dataset, but some IDs may be guessed by trying out many IDs in an automated way.
