  • Oct 23, 2026Conda Organization Infrastructure is a centralized location for infrastructure codes.CVE-2026-53942 · Other software · conda · reported by GitHubCritical 9.9

Conda Organization Infrastructure is a centralized location for infrastructure codes. Prior to commit 9c0f238, a GitHub Actions Pwn Request vulnerability appears to remain present in conda/conda. The affected workflow is .github/workflows/update.yml. It is triggered by issue_comment events containing @conda-bot render or @conda-bot recreate. For the render path, the workflow obtains the pull request head repository and branch from the PR API, checks out that PR-controlled repository/ref using secrets.SYNC_TOKEN, and then runs conda/actions/template-files@7f6830b1428a9bd47f0b068892c77eae95207037. The external template-files action reads its default configuration and templates from the checked-out working directory. In the confirmed finding, that action uses an unsandboxed Jinja2 environment to render attacker-controlled template content. This creates a Pwn Request chain in which an untrusted PR/comment path can reach template rendering in a privileged token context. This issue has been patched via commit 9c0f238.

  • Oct 23, 2026conda-forge is a GitHub organization containing repositories of conda recipes.CVE-2026-55422 · Other software · conda-forge · reported by GitHubMedium 4.6

conda-forge is a GitHub organization containing repositories of conda recipes. In commits 85748ad2368a and prior, two React components render externally-sourced strings directly as HTML using dangerouslySetInnerHTML, with no sanitization (the project has no DOMPurify or equivalent dependency). JSON files are produced automatically by the conda-forge autotick bot (regro/cf-scripts) while it processes every conda-forge feedstock and its upstream source artifacts. The error/status strings embed raw output captured from those processes (build logs, patch output, tracebacks). The website renders them verbatim as HTML. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.

  • Oct 14, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: x86-android-tablets: hold device reference for secondary fwnode teardown In CVE-2026-98397 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86: x86-android-tablets: hold device reference for secondary fwnode teardown In gpio_secondary_fwnode_init(), acpi_bus_find_device_by_name() returns a device reference, but the local dev variable is declared with __free(put_device), dropping the reference at the end of each iteration. Meanwhile, devm_add_action_or_reset() saves the dev pointer for gpio_secondary_unset() without incrementing its reference count, which could lead to a use-after-free during driver teardown if the device is released in the interim. Acquire an explicit device reference with get_device() when registering the devres action, and drop it with put_device() inside gpio_secondary_unset().

  • Oct 7, 2026Apache YuniKorn 1.9.0 and earlier allows bypassing the check for the user annotation by setting a secondary label on the pod.CVE-2026-97146 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 4.8

Apache YuniKorn 1.9.0 and earlier allows bypassing the check for the user annotation by setting a secondary label on the pod. If the pod has the label 'app=yunikorn' the checks limiting the user annotation content are not run. The label is used to identify the YuniKorn application itself in the deployments. The bypass allows any user to specify an arbitrary user info annotation. The arbitrary user information could allow access to a queue that the user normally would not have access to. Quota usage for the queue might be impacted if the application runs in the incorrect queue. User based quota enforcement is also based on the user annotation. User quota tracking could be side stepped even if the application runs in the correct queue. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.10.0, which fixes this issue.

  • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cifs: Fix server use-after-free in cifs_chan_skip_or_disable() When a secondary channel isCVE-2026-98261 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.1

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cifs: Fix server use-after-free in cifs_chan_skip_or_disable() When a secondary channel is no longer supported by the server, cifs_chan_skip_or_disable() drops the channel reference with cifs_put_tcp_session() and then continues to use the server pointer by calling cifs_signal_cifsd_for_reconnect() on it and reading its primary_server pointer. cifs_put_tcp_session() can drop the last reference of the channel and tear it down, so both the channel and the primary server (whose reference is also dropped by cifs_put_tcp_session()) can be freed before they are signaled for reconnect. Signal the channel and the primary server and capture the primary server pointer before dropping the channel reference with cifs_put_tcp_session().

  • Sep 21, 2026Conda is a system-level binary package and environment manager that runs on major operating systems and platforms.CVE-2026-53940 · Other software · conda · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

Conda is a system-level binary package and environment manager that runs on major operating systems and platforms. Prior to 26.5.2, parse_entry_point_def in conda/common/path/python.py accepted an unvalidated entry-point command from a noarch:python package's info/link.json metadata. CreatePythonEntryPointAction in conda/core/path_actions.py interpolated that command into target_short_path, and PrefixPathAction.target_full_path joined it to the installation prefix without verifying that the result remained under the intended bin or Scripts directory. create_python_entry_point in conda/gateways/disk/create.py then wrote an executable wrapper to the resulting path. A malicious package could use path separators, traversal segments, or an absolute command path to write outside the prefix or overwrite another in-prefix entry point during default install and environment transactions. Out-of-prefix writes require the target parent directory to exist, while an overwritten entry point can execute attacker-controlled Python when later invoked with the installing user's privileges. This issue is fixed in version 26.5.2.

  • Sep 16, 2026For a secondary zone with transfers restricted by TSIG, `named` may start to serve the data provided in a zone transfer before the final message with the TSIG sCVE-2026-19033 · Other software · ISC · reported by security-officer@isc.orgMedium 6.5

For a secondary zone with transfers restricted by TSIG, `named` may start to serve the data provided in a zone transfer before the final message with the TSIG signature arrives. This could allow an attacker that does not actually possess a valid TSIG signature to send unauthorized zone contents to a secondary server. Although no TSIG signature ever arrives, `named` does not rollback to the pre-transfer state. To exploit the vulnerability, the transfer must be a multi-message TCP IXFR, as described by RFC 8945. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix UAF and buffer leak in cifs_check_trans2() for malformed secondary T2 When a valid primary TRANSACT2 response has been received (mid->resp_buf set, mid->multiRsp true) and a subsequent secondary response causes cifs_check_trans2() to return false -- either because the SMB header is invalid (malformed != 0) or because check2ndT2() rejects the PDU -- handle_mid() overwrites mid->resp_buf with the new buffer (leaking the primary buffer) and, because mid->multiRsp is set, skips the server->smallbuf/bigbuf NULL-out. When the user thread frees mid->resp_buf, server->smallbuf or server->bigbuf is left dangling; the demux thread reuses it for the next packet, resulting in a use-after-free. Combine both early-exit conditions and, when mid->multiRsp is already set, abort the pending transaction inline: set multiEnd, call dequeue_mid() with malformed=true, and return true so handle_mid() exits without touching mid->resp_buf or the server buffer pointers.

  • Sep 9, 2026Rattler is a library that provides common functionality used within the conda ecosystem.CVE-2026-53956 · Other software · conda · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4

Rattler is a library that provides common functionality used within the conda ecosystem. `rattler_cache` prior to version 0.9.0 and `py-rattler` prior to version 0.24.0 were vulnerable to package-cache path traversal when handling package metadata from conda channels. During cache materialization, the `ratter_cache` code used the package record `build` string as part of a cache key that was joined into a filesystem path. A malicious or untrusted channel could publish repodata with path separators or traversal components in that field, causing package contents to be written outside the configured package cache directory. The issue requires use of a malicious or otherwise untrusted conda channel. Curated channels that validate package metadata are not expected to allow malformed build strings of this form. Users should upgrade to `rattler_cache` version 0.9.0 or `py-rattler` version 0.24.0 and avoid untrusted conda channels.

MISP's UiBeta theme collection view (app/View/Themed/UiBeta/Collections/view.ctp) performed a secondary query of member events by UUID without applying the caller's access control list (ACL). The CollectionsController::view() action correctly resolved collection element UUIDs through Event::fetchSimpleEvents($user, ...), which enforces per-user event ACL. However, the view template independently re-queried the same UUIDs using only an Event.uuid IN (...) condition, omitting the createEventConditions() authorization filter. Because collection element UUIDs are stored without server-side authorization against the referenced event (CollectionElementsController::add() accepts whatever UUID the collection owner posts), an authenticated user with view access to a collection could retrieve full details of events they are not permitted to read. The exposed data included event identifiers, info, dates, timestamps, creator organization, all event tags, and galaxy clusters (the latter attached via a cluster-scoped rather than event-scoped ACL check). This constitutes an authorization bypass at the presentation layer, allowing horizontal privilege escalation across event boundaries within the

  • Aug 6, 2026When secondary user stores are configured, the implicit-association resolver incorrectly initializes from a secondary user store and bypasses the primary user sCVE-2025-11850 · Other software · WSO2 · reported by ed10eef1-636d-4fbe-9993-6890dfa878f8Medium 4.3

When secondary user stores are configured, the implicit-association resolver incorrectly initializes from a secondary user store and bypasses the primary user store during search and uniqueness checks. This allows a subject to be associated with an unintended local account if the same lookup claim (e.g., username or email) exists in both the primary and a secondary store. If duplicate claim values exist across user stores, this issue can lead to identity confusion due to incorrect implicit associations when using an external Identity Provider (IDP). Legitimate user accounts in the primary user store may fail to associate correctly with their corresponding external IDP accounts, potentially restricting access if the secondary account has fewer privileges. Deployments are not affected if no secondary user stores are configured, implicit association is disabled, or claim values are globally unique.

The account locking mechanism fails to trigger when secondary user stores are inaccessible. The software does not maintain a consistent state for account locking if it cannot reach all configured user stores, allowing an attacker to repeatedly attempt authentication with invalid credentials without triggering the lockout mechanism for users within active stores. When the account locking mechanism is bypassed due to the inaccessibility of secondary user stores, users in accessible user stores are left vulnerable to brute force attacks. A malicious actor can exploit this by attempting numerous invalid password combinations against a user account without the expected account lockout consequence.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: MIPS: smp: report dying CPU to RCU in stop_this_cpu() smp_send_stop() parks all secondary CPUs in stop_this_cpu(). The function marks the CPU offline for the scheduler via set_cpu_online(false) but never informs RCU, so RCU keeps expecting a quiescent state from CPUs that are now spinning forever with interrupts disabled. As long as nothing waits for an RCU grace period after smp_send_stop() this is harmless, which is why it went unnoticed. Since commit 91840be8f710 ("irq_work: Fix use-after-free in irq_work_single() on PREEMPT_RT") however, irq_work_sync() calls synchronize_rcu() on architectures without an irq_work self-IPI, i.e. where arch_irq_work_has_interrupt() returns false. That is the asm-generic default used by MIPS. Any irq_work_sync() issued in the reboot/shutdown path after smp_send_stop() then blocks on a grace period that can never complete, hanging the reboot: WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 15 at kernel/irq_work.c:144 irq_work_queue_on ... rcu: INFO: rcu_sched detected stalls on CPUs/tasks: rcu: Offline CPU 1 blocking current GP. rcu: Offline CPU 2 blocking current GP. rcu: Offline CPU 3 block

  • Jul 21, 2026Rattler is a library that provides common functionality used within the conda ecosystem.CVE-2026-47425 · Other software · conda · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

Rattler is a library that provides common functionality used within the conda ecosystem. Prior to version 0.43.2, `EntryPoint::FromStr` in `rattler_conda_types` performs only `.trim()` on the `command` field before the linker joins it onto the install prefix and writes an executable Python script. A malicious `noarch:python` package can ship an `info/link.json` with an entry-point name containing `..`, `/`, `\`, or an absolute path; the resulting file is written outside the prefix (or clobbers an existing in-prefix entry-point such as `bin/pip`) with mode `0o775` on Unix and a copied launcher `.exe` on Windows. This affects the default install path of `pixi install`, `mamba install` via py-rattler, `rattler-build`, and any other consumer of the `rattler` install crate; no flag or post-link-script opt-in is involved. Version 0.43.2 contains a fix for the issue.

  • Nov 7, 2025(conda) Constructor is a tool that enables users to create installers for conda package collections.CVE-2025-64343 · Other software · conda · reported by GitHubHigh 7.8

(conda) Constructor is a tool that enables users to create installers for conda package collections. In versions 3.12.2 and below, the installation directory inherits permissions from its parent directory. Outside of restricted directories, the permissions are very permissive and often allow write access by authenticated users. Any logged in user can make modifications during the installation for both single-user and all-user installations. This constitutes a local attack vector if the installation is in a directory local users have access to. For single-user installations in a shared directory, these permissions persist after the installation. This issue is fixed in version 3.13.0.

conda-smithy is a tool for combining a conda recipe with configurations to build using freely hosted CI services into a single repository. Prior to version 3.47.1, the travis_headers function in the conda-smithy repository creates files with permissions exceeding 0o600, allowing read and write access beyond the intended user/owner. This violates the principle of least privilege, which mandates restricting file permissions to the minimum necessary. An attacker could exploit this to access configuration files in shared hosting environments. This issue has been patched in version 3.47.1.

conda-smithy is a tool for combining a conda recipe with configurations to build using freely hosted CI services into a single repository. Prior to version 3.47.1, the travis_encrypt_binstar_token implementation in the conda-smithy package has been identified as vulnerable to an Oracle Padding Attack. This vulnerability results from the use of an outdated and insecure padding scheme during RSA encryption. (conda) Constructor is a tool which allows constructing an installer for a collection of conda packages. Prior to version 3.11.3, shell installer scripts process the installation prefix (user_prefix) using an eval statement, which executes unsanitized user input as shell code. Although the script runs with user privileges (not root), an attacker could exploit this by injecting arbitrary commands through a malicious path during installation. Exploitation requires explicit user action. This issue has been patched in version 3.11.3.

Conda-build contains commands and tools to build conda packages. Prior to version 25.4.0, the conda-build processing logic is vulnerable to path traversal (Tarslip) attacks due to improper sanitization of tar entry paths. Attackers can craft tar archives containing entries with directory traversal sequences to write files outside the intended extraction directory. • Jun 16, 2025Conda-build contains commands and tools to build conda packages.CVE-2025-32798 · Other software · conda · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

Conda-build contains commands and tools to build conda packages. Prior to version 25.4.0, the conda-build recipe processing logic has been found to be vulnerable to arbitrary code execution due to unsafe evaluation of recipe selectors. Currently, conda-build uses the eval function to process embedded selectors in meta.yaml files. This approach evaluates user-defined expressions without proper sanitization, which allows arbitrary code to be executed during the build process. As a result, the integrity of the build environment is compromised, and unauthorized commands or file operations may be performed. The vulnerability stems from the inherent risk of using eval() on untrusted input in a context intended to control dynamic build configurations. By directly interpreting selector expressions, conda-build creates a potential execution pathway for malicious code, violating security assumptions. This issue has been patched in version 25.4.0.

  • Jun 16, 2025Conda-build contains commands and tools to build conda packages.CVE-2025-32797 · Other software · conda · reported by GitHubMedium 6

Conda-build contains commands and tools to build conda packages. Prior to version 25.3.1, the write_build_scripts function in conda-build creates the temporary build script conda_build.sh with overly permissive file permissions (0o766), allowing write access to all users. Attackers with filesystem access can exploit a race condition to overwrite the script before execution, enabling arbitrary code execution under the victim's privileges. This risk is significant in shared environments, potentially leading to full system compromise. Even with non-static directory names, attackers can monitor parent directories for file creation events. The brief window between script creation (with insecure permissions) and execution allows rapid overwrites. Directory names can also be inferred via timestamps or logs, and automation enables exploitation even with semi-randomized paths by acting within milliseconds of detection. This issue has been patched in version 25.3.1. A workaround involves restricting conda_build.sh permissions from 0o766 to 0o700 (owner-only read/write/execute). Additionally, use atomic file creation (write to a temporary randomized filename and rename atomically) to minimize

conda-forge-ci-setup is a package installed by conda-forge each time a build is run on CI. The conda-forge-ci-setup-feedstock setup script is vulnerable due to the unsafe use of the eval function when parsing version information from a custom-formatted meta.yaml file. An attacker controlling meta.yaml can inject malicious code into the version assignment, which is executed during file processing, leading to arbitrary code execution. Exploitation requires an attacker to modify the recipe file by manipulating the RECIPE_DIR variable and introducing a malicious meta.yaml file. While this is more feasible in CI/CD pipelines, it is uncommon in typical environments, reducing overall risk. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.15.0.
