Oct 28, 2026InvoicePlane is a self-hosted open source application for managing invoices, clients, and payments.CVE-2026-55561 · Other software · InvoicePlane · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3
InvoicePlane is a self-hosted open source application for managing invoices, clients, and payments. Prior to 1.7.2-beta-1, guest users can approve or reject quotes belonging to any client, not just their assigned clients. The `approve()` and `reject()` methods in the Guest Quotes controller, `application/modules/guest/controllers/Quotes.php`, call `approve_quote_by_id($quote_id)` and `reject_quote_by_id($quote_id)` directly without the `where_in('ip_quotes.client_id', $this->user_clients)` scoping that sibling methods use. A guest user assigned to one client can change another client's quote status by supplying sequential integer `quote_id` values, and `email_quote_status()` also sends notification emails. Additionally, `generate_pdf()` calls `mark_viewed($quote_id)` before checking the client scope, allowing a guest user to mark another client's quote as viewed. These issues are fixed in version 1.7.2-beta-1 and the subsequent stable version 1.7.2.

Oct 28, 2026russh is a Rust SSH client and server library that includes an SSH agent protocol implementation.CVE-2026-116794 · Other software · Eugeny · reported by GitHubHigh 8.3
russh is a Rust SSH client and server library that includes an SSH agent protocol implementation. From 0.50.0-beta.12 until 0.65.0, the agent server's Connection::try_sign path in russh/src/keys/agent/server.rs recognizes SSH_AGENT_CONSTRAIN_CONFIRM but returns a hard-coded successful result instead of calling Agent::confirm. In applications that override Agent::confirm to require user approval or another policy check, a process that can reach the agent socket, including the remote side of a forwarded agent, can use a key added through ssh-add -c without that check and can authenticate or sign data as the user while the key remains loaded. The separate Agent::confirm_request hook still runs for every signing request, so checks implemented there remain effective, and implementations that retain the default always-successful Agent::confirm do not lose an approval check through this regression. This issue is fixed in version 0.65.0.

Oct 28, 2026The broker-side PushTelemetry API (KIP-714) validates only the compressed size of a client's metrics payload against telemetry.max.bytes (default 1 MB) before dCVE-2026-111073 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.org
The broker-side PushTelemetry API (KIP-714) validates only the compressed size of a client's metrics payload against telemetry.max.bytes (default 1 MB) before decompressing it. ClientTelemetryUtils.decompress() then decompresses the payload with no limit on the decompressed output size, growing a heap buffer until the compressed input is exhausted. A small, highly compressible payload (for example gzip-compressed zeros) can therefore expand to hundreds of megabytes of broker heap. Impact: An authenticated client can send a PushTelemetry request with a small compressed payload that decompresses to a very large size, consuming broker heap out of proportion to the request size. Repeated or concurrent requests can exhaust the broker heap and cause an OutOfMemoryError, degrading or crashing the broker; a client that targets multiple brokers can affect cluster availability. PushTelemetry is available to any authenticated client and is not gated by an ACL. Mitigation: Upgrade to Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.1, or 4.4.0. On affected versions there is no configuration that fully prevents the amplification, because telemetry.max.bytes bounds only the compressed size; lowering telemetry.ma

A Kafka broker that authenticates clients with SASL/OAUTHBEARER using the bundled JWKS-backed validator always verifies the JWT signature, but two further checks are only performed when explicitly configured: - The issuer (iss) claim is verified only when sasl.oauthbearer.expected.issuer is set. When it is unset, a validly-signed token carrying the expected audience is accepted regardless of which issuer minted it. - An audience (aud) claim is required only when sasl.oauthbearer.expected.audience is set. When it is unset, a validly-signed token that omits the aud claim is accepted. (A token that carries an aud claim is still rejected when no expected audience is configured.) Both options default to unset and have been documented as optional (Importance LOW) since KIP-768 (3.1.0). Impact: The exposure is realizable mainly in deployments whose JWKS endpoint serves signing keys for more than one issuer (a multi-tenant identity provider, an aggregated/shared JWKS, or shared signing keys): a token minted for a different issuer, or a token lacking an audience, may be accepted to authenticate — potentially as a higher-privileged principal. Oct 28, 2026USB Test is a lightweight Windows CLI utility for verifying sector integrity and detecting overreported capacity on USB flash drives.CVE-2026-116776 · Other software · n-romanovich · reported by GitHubHigh 7
USB Test is a lightweight Windows CLI utility for verifying sector integrity and detecting overreported capacity on USB flash drives. Prior to version 1.1.5, getSectorSize() in USB Test/src/driveinfo.cpp trusts DISK_GEOMETRY.BytesPerSector returned by IOCTL_DISK_GET_DRIVE_GEOMETRY without checking whether the call succeeded or enforcing size bounds. USB Test/src/drivetest.cpp uses the value for division and to size a heap buffer before memcpy(buffer.data(), §or, 8), so a physically connected malicious USB storage device can report a value below eight bytes and cause repeated out-of-bounds writes, or report zero and cause a divide-by-zero denial of service when a user starts a drive test. The heap corruption can crash the elevated application and may permit arbitrary code execution. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.5.

Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix data corruption with concurrent writes and O_TRUNC cifs_do_truncate() fluCVE-2026-99111 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix data corruption with concurrent writes and O_TRUNC cifs_do_truncate() flushes dirty pages with filemap_write_and_wait() and truncates the file on the server, but in the old code both operations ran without holding i_rwsem or invalidate_lock. A concurrent buffered write via netfs_perform_write() -- which only needs i_rwsem shared -- could dirty new pages after the flush but before the local truncation, and those pages would be silently discarded by cifs_setsize() -> truncate_pagecache(). Fix by acquiring inode_lock (exclusive i_rwsem) and filemap_invalidate_lock at the top of cifs_do_truncate(), so the entire flush-truncate-resize sequence is atomic with respect to: - buffered writes (blocked by exclusive i_rwsem, since netfs_start_io_write takes i_rwsem shared), - read page faults (blocked by exclusive invalidate_lock, since filemap_fault takes it shared), - writeback collection (blocked by netfs_wb_begin/netfs_wb_end around the server truncate and local resize, since netfs_writepages also acquires the wb lock).

Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix heap overflow in cifs_do_set_acl() cifs_set_acl() validates ACL size usinCVE-2026-99110 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix heap overflow in cifs_do_set_acl() cifs_set_acl() validates ACL size using posix_acl_xattr_size(): 4 + (count * 8) // 4-byte header + 8 bytes per ACE cifs_do_set_acl() then calls posix_acl_to_cifs() to write the CIFS wire format into the same buffer: 6 + (count * 10) // 6-byte header + 10 bytes per ACE An ACL that passes the xattr-based check in cifs_set_acl() can overflow the heap when posix_acl_to_cifs() writes the larger CIFS format. Validate the CIFS format size against the remaining buffer space and USHRT_MAX before converting--data_count is __u16, so sizes above USHRT_MAX truncate the on-wire packet length, causing the server to apply a partial ACL. Replace MaxDataCount = 1000 with min(CIFSMaxBufSize, USHRT_MAX).

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: reject SetEA requests that do not fit the request buffer CIFSSMBSetEA() copies the caller's extended attribute value into the SMB request buffer without checking that it fits. The requirement is stated in the source but was never implemented: /*BB add length check to see if it would fit in negotiated SMB buffer size BB */ /* if (ea_value_len > buffer_size - 512 (enough for header)) */ if (ea_value_len) memcpy(parm_data->list.name + name_len + 1, ea_value, ea_value_len); The only bound applied on the way in is in cifs_xattr_set(): #define MAX_EA_VALUE_SIZE CIFSMaxBufSize ... if (size > MAX_EA_VALUE_SIZE) CIFSMaxBufSize is the full payload capacity of the buffer, so a value of exactly that size leaves no room for the SMB header, the TRANS2 parameter block, the fealist header and the EA name that are written ahead of it in the same object. SendReceive() already enforces the correct limit on this very length: if (in_len > CIFSMaxBufSize + MAX_CIFS_HDR_SIZE) but it is called after the copy has taken place. Oct 27, 2026russh is a Rust SSH client and server library that includes an SSH agent protocol implementation.CVE-2026-116774 · Other software · Eugeny · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3
russh is a Rust SSH client and server library that includes an SSH agent protocol implementation. From 0.60.0 until 0.65.0, channel-open parsing accepts a peer-declared maximum_packet_size of zero and passes it into ChannelTx::poll_writable in russh/src/channels/io/tx.rs. The Channel::data, Channel::make_writer, and Channel::into_stream asynchronous write paths then calculate a writable size of zero and remain pending forever because window adjustments cannot satisfy a static zero packet maximum. An authenticated client can strand server writes, and a malicious server can strand client writes, allowing affected tasks, channels, and connections to accumulate without surfacing an error. russh is a Rust SSH client and server library that includes an SSH agent protocol implementation. Prior to 0.65.0, the client Session::process_packet path in russh/src/client/encrypted.rs accepts repeated packets encoded with russh's private msg::EXT_INFO = 7 before authentication, while the standards-compliant EXT_INFO message number 82 does not reach the affected handler. The handle_ext_info function appends every parsed extension name to received_extensions without clearing, deduplicating, or bounding the vector. A malicious SSH server that deliberately sends private message number 7 can therefore retain an unbounded number of attacker-controlled extension names for the session lifetime, causing progressive client memory exhaustion. Oct 27, 2026NextChat version 2.16.1 contains a client‑side cross‑site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Plugin Editor due to unsafe rendering of externally supplied OpenCVE-2026-118132 · Other software · NextChat · reported by cret@cert.org
NextChat version 2.16.1 contains a client‑side cross‑site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Plugin Editor due to unsafe rendering of externally supplied OpenAPI plugin schema content. When a plugin schema is loaded from a remote URL, the returned content is stored in plugin.content and later rendered using React’s dangerouslySetInnerHTML without proper sanitization. An attacker can host a malicious OpenAPI schema containing HTML or JavaScript markup and trick a user into loading it through the Plugin Editor, resulting in arbitrary JavaScript execution in the NextChat origin. Successful exploitation allows access to JavaScript‑readable cookies and other client‑side data associated with the NextChat application.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
