  • Oct 28, 2026AnkiMCP is an Anki addon that implements an MCP server, enabling AI assistants to interact with the Anki flashcard application.CVE-2026-61546 · Other software · ankimcp · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

AnkiMCP is an Anki addon that implements an MCP server, enabling AI assistants to interact with the Anki flashcard application. Prior to version 0.21.0, `anki_mcp_server/mcp_server.py` globally disables FastMCP DNS-rebinding protection through `TransportSecuritySettings` with `enable_dns_rebinding_protection=False`, including for the default local Streamable HTTP listener. The defaults in `anki_mcp_server/config.py` enable `http_enabled` on `127.0.0.1:3141`, with an empty `http_path` selecting the root endpoint. No bearer token, API key, session secret, strict `Host` allowlist or strict `Origin` allowlist is enforced before `initialize`, `tools/list` and `tools/call` reach MCP dispatch. A victim who visits a malicious web page while Anki and the listener are running can have browser requests rebound to loopback, allowing the attacker to `initialize` MCP, enumerate tools, read the local collection, and perform enabled non-destructive note/deck creation or updates. The attacker needs neither LAN position nor a local process. Available operations depend on enabled tool filters; destructive tools are hidden unless `enabled_destructive_tools` is opted into, limiting deletion-level impac

  • Oct 28, 2026Ember is a real-time terminal dashboard for Caddy servers with FrankenPHP support.CVE-2026-54162 · Other software · alexandre-daubois · reported by GitHubMedium 4.7

Ember is a real-time terminal dashboard for Caddy servers with FrankenPHP support. Prior to 1.4.2, interactive TUI row formatters pass Caddy access-log fields, particularly the request URI, through the `fitCellLeft` render helper without neutralizing terminal escape or control sequences. An unauthenticated remote client can place ANSI, OSC, or CSI control bytes in an ordinary HTTP request target. Caddy JSON-escapes those bytes, `ParseLogLine` decodes them back into raw controls, and the formatters concatenate them into `View()` output reaching `os.Stdout`. When the operator views the default `Logs` tab, the terminal interprets these sequences, allowing monitoring-dashboard spoofing, clipboard hijacking through `OSC 52`, and window-title spoofing through `OSC 0/2`. This works even with a loopback-only log listener because the input arrives through normal Caddy access logs. `Certificates` and `Routes` share secondary unneutralized render sinks. The `--json`, `--once`, and daemon `--expose` modes are unaffected because they do not render an interactive terminal. Consequences depend on the terminal emulator and usually require further operator action to escalate; this is not general-pu

  • Oct 28, 2026USB Test is a lightweight Windows CLI utility for verifying sector integrity and detecting overreported capacity on USB flash drives.CVE-2026-116776 · Other software · n-romanovich · reported by GitHubHigh 7

USB Test is a lightweight Windows CLI utility for verifying sector integrity and detecting overreported capacity on USB flash drives. Prior to version 1.1.5, getSectorSize() in USB Test/src/driveinfo.cpp trusts DISK_GEOMETRY.BytesPerSector returned by IOCTL_DISK_GET_DRIVE_GEOMETRY without checking whether the call succeeded or enforcing size bounds. USB Test/src/drivetest.cpp uses the value for division and to size a heap buffer before memcpy(buffer.data(), &sector, 8), so a physically connected malicious USB storage device can report a value below eight bytes and cause repeated out-of-bounds writes, or report zero and cause a divide-by-zero denial of service when a user starts a drive test. The heap corruption can crash the elevated application and may permit arbitrary code execution. This issue is fixed in version 1.1.5.

  • Oct 28, 2026ESPHome Device Builder Dashboard is a dashboard for the ESPHome home management software.CVE-2026-59177 · Other software · esphome · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

ESPHome Device Builder Dashboard is a dashboard for the ESPHome home management software. Prior to 1.0.10, the `Home Assistant` add-on's trusted `ingress` site binds to `0.0.0.0` while intentionally skipping dashboard authentication because the supervisor is expected to authenticate requests upstream. Host networking, required for mDNS, also binds this no-auth site to the `Home Assistant` host's LAN interface. Any device on that local network can therefore connect directly to the `ingress` port, bypass the supervisor, and obtain the full dashboard without credentials or operator misconfiguration. Dashboard capability includes compile-time Python execution through `external_components:`, shell execution through compile and validation subprocesses, and arbitrary access to configuration and data files, compromising the mounted `Home Assistant` configuration and managed ESPHome devices. The standalone Docker dashboard and the password-gated public port 6052 are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.10.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netlink: avoid hashing the network namespace pointer The netlink rhashtable key includes a raw struct net pointer and a user-controlled port ID. Both /proc/net/netlink and socket diagnostics expose the table's bucket order. By binding and rebinding chosen NETLINK_USERSOCK port IDs, an unprivileged reader can distinguish equal buckets and recover the low bits of the Jenkins hash. Its 32-bit seed and the limited set of kernel-image slides can then be searched offline to recover the address of init_net. Use the namespace's unique, non-address net_cookie in the comparison key instead. It is assigned before the per-net initializers run and remains unchanged for the namespace's lifetime. The lookup key and object hash are still built by netlink_compare_arg_init(), keeping lookup, insertion, removal and rehashing consistent while preserving namespace separation. Neither public table walker needs to change. Reading the socket's namespace cookie in netlink_compare() is safe under RCU, including during namespace teardown. netlink_release() removes the socket from the hash table and defers its final put with call_rcu(). c

Use of Password Hash With Insufficient Computational Effort in the jose library allows an attacker who obtains a password-encrypted private-key export to recover the private key through an offline password-cracking attack. When jose exports a password-encrypted private key with jose_jwk:to_der/2 (JOSE.JWK.to_der/2), the jose_jwk_der:to_binary/3 function in src/jwk/jose_jwk_der.erl serializes the key as a PKCS#8 EncryptedPrivateKeyInfo using the PBES2 scheme with hardcoded key-derivation parameters: PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 with an iteration count of 2048 and an 8-byte (64-bit) random salt. Neither value can be overridden by the caller. Both values are far below current guidance (OWASP recommends on the order of 600,000 iterations for PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256, and NIST recommends salts of at least 128 bits), so the key-stretching work factor is roughly 300 times lower than intended and the short salt reduces the cost of precomputation across keys. The symmetric encryption (AES-256-CBC with a 16-byte random IV) is not affected; the weakness is entirely in the derivation strength. An attacker who obtains one of these exported blobs (for example from a backup, configuration repository, object st

An SQL Injection vulnerability exists in the dashboard widget data API endpoint (/api/data/{type}). Chart filter parameters supplied by the client are not properly validated before they are used in the database queries that build dashboard chart data. An authenticated user with API access can exploit this to inject SQL into these reporting queries. Using blind SQL injection techniques, the attacker can read arbitrary data from the Mautic database, including contact and other marketing data and user account data with password hashes. The injected SQL can also be used to slow down database queries, which can have a limited impact on availability. Data modification is not possible through this vulnerability. Exploitation requires the Mautic API to be enabled.

Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key vulnerability in ash-project ash allows a user of one tenant to read, overwrite and take over another tenant's records via an upserting create action. Under attribute multitenancy, Ash.Actions.Create (lib/ash/actions/create/create.ex) and Ash.Actions.Create.Bulk (lib/ash/actions/create/bulk.ex) upserted on the primary key, or on an all_tenants? identity, without scoping the conflicting record to the request's tenant. A caller of a create action with upsert? true that accepts the primary key, supplying a record id from another tenant, updated that record's upsert fields and received all of its attributes in the result. With the default upsert fields the tenant attribute was written too, moving the record into the caller's tenant. Read and update policies do not run for upserts, and tenant-scoped create policies pass because the tenant is the caller's own. This issue affects ash: from 1.22.0 before 3.37.2.

Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in ash-project ash_postgres allows a user to read another tenant's record through a skipped upsert. When Ash.bulk_create/4 or a single create runs as an upsert with return_skipped_upsert?: true and the upsert is skipped (for example because its upsert_condition does not hold), AshPostgres.DataLayer reads the existing row back by the upsert identity in do_bulk_create/3 and upsert/4. That lookup did not apply the resource's attribute multitenancy, so on a resource using strategy :attribute it could match and return the row of another tenant with the same identity values, exposing its fields to the caller. Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in ash-project ash_postgres allows a user to load destination records linked to a source record only through another tenant's join rows. When a many_to_many relationship, or a through relationship, is loaded with a lateral join (for example with a per-record limit or sort), AshPostgres.DataLayer builds the query for the join resource, and for each resource along a through path, in lateral_join_query/3 and through_step_queries/4 without running that resource's read action, which is where attribute multitenancy is applied. When those resources use strategy :attribute multitenancy, rows belonging to other tenants were joined, so the load returned destination records that the caller's tenant is not related to. Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in ash-project ash allows a client to read destination records unrelated to the source record through a through relationship. When a has_many relationship declared with through: was loaded for a single record with a limit of 1, or an unsorted has_one through relationship was loaded with a limit of 1, lateral_join?/4 in lib/ash/actions/read/relationships.ex chose the path that reads the destination without any filter linking it to the source. The load returned the first destination record by sort, or any other record with an offset. The read still runs the destination's policies but carries the relationship as accessing_from, so a client paging such a field (for example teachers(limit: 1, offset: n) through AshGraphql) can enumerate destination records that policies allow only when reached through that relationship. HTTP::Server::PSGI versions before 1.0056 for Perl allow a single request to crash the server by declaring a large Content-Length. The request body is read with sysread() calls sized by the remaining Content-Length. Perl grows the read buffer to the requested length before any data arrives, so the server tries to allocate as much memory as the client declares. A remote attacker can send one request with a large Content-Length and a few body bytes, and perl exits with an out-of-memory error before the application is called. HTTP::Server::PSGI runs as a single process, so the server stays down until restarted.
