  • Oct 2, 2026The Angular SSR is a server-rise rendering tool for Angular applications.CVE-2026-104871 · Other software · angular · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3

The Angular SSR is a server-rise rendering tool for Angular applications. Prior to versions 20.3.36, 21.2.23, and 22.1.7, the CommonEngine retrieveSSGPage prerendered-page retrieval logic in @angular/ssr/node, and in @angular/ssr for versions 17 through 18, accepts a relative request URL containing a backslash parent-traversal segment on Windows. The non-special resolve:// URL base preserves the backslash, path.join interprets it as a Windows separator, and the pagePath.startsWith(normalize(publicPath)) check incorrectly accepts a sibling output directory whose name shares the configured public-directory prefix. An unauthenticated requester can therefore retrieve a sibling prerendered HTML page when that page contains the Angular SSG marker. The issue is limited to Windows deployments that pass relative request URLs to CommonEngine.render, have a prefix-sharing sibling output directory, and contain qualifying prerendered Angular HTML; it does not provide arbitrary file read. This issue is fixed in versions 20.3.36, 21.2.23, and 22.1.7.

The Angular SSR is a server-rise rendering tool for Angular applications. From 19.0.0-next.0 to before 19.2.25, 20.3.25, 21.2.9, and 22.0.0-next.7, a vulnerability exists in the X-Forwarded-Prefix header processing logic within Angular SSR. The internal validation mechanism fails to properly account for URL-encoded characters, specifically dots (%2e%2e). This allows an attacker to bypass security filters by injecting encoded path traversal sequences that are later decoded and utilized by the application logic. When an Angular SSR application is configured to trust proxy headers and is deployed behind a proxy that forwards the X-Forwarded-Prefix header without prior sanitization, an attacker can provide a payload such as /%2e%2e/evil. This vulnerability is fixed in19.2.25, 20.3.25, 21.2.9, and 22.0.0-next.7.

  • Mar 26, 2026The Angular SSR is a server-rise rendering tool for Angular applications.CVE-2026-33397 · Other software · angular · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

The Angular SSR is a server-rise rendering tool for Angular applications. Versions on the 22.x branch prior to 22.0.0-next.2, the 21.x branch prior to 21.2.3, and the 20.x branch prior to 20.3.21 have an Open Redirect vulnerability in `@angular/ssr` due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2026-27738. While the original fix successfully blocked multiple leading slashes (e.g., `///`), the internal validation logic fails to account for a single backslash (`\`) bypass. When an Angular SSR application is deployed behind a proxy that passes the `X-Forwarded-Prefix` header, an attacker provides a value starting with a single backslash, the internal validation failed to flag the single backslash as invalid, the application prepends a leading forward slash, resulting in a `Location` header containing the URL, and modern browsers interpret the `/\` sequence as `//`, treating it as a protocol-relative URL and redirecting the user to the attacker-controlled domain. Furthermore, the response lacks the `Vary: X-Forwarded-Prefix` header, allowing the malicious redirect to be stored in intermediate caches (Web Cache Poisoning). Versions 22.0.0-next.2, 21.2.3, and 20.3.21 contain a patch. Until the patch

  • Feb 25, 2026The Angular SSR is a server-rise rendering tool for Angular applications.CVE-2026-27739 · Other software · angular · reported by GitHubCritical 9.2

The Angular SSR is a server-rise rendering tool for Angular applications. Versions prior to 21.2.0-rc.1, 21.1.5, 20.3.17, and 19.2.21 have a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the Angular SSR request handling pipeline. The vulnerability exists because Angular’s internal URL reconstruction logic directly trusts and consumes user-controlled HTTP headers specifically the Host and `X-Forwarded-*` family to determine the application's base origin without any validation of the destination domain. Specifically, the framework didn't have checks for the host domain, path and character sanitization, and port validation. This vulnerability manifests in two primary ways: implicit relative URL resolution and explicit manual construction. When successfully exploited, this vulnerability allows for arbitrary internal request steering. This can lead to credential exfiltration, internal network probing, and a confidentiality breach. In order to be vulnerable, the victim application must use Angular SSR (Server-Side Rendering), the application must perform `HttpClient` requests using relative URLs OR manually construct URLs using the unvalidated `Host` / `X-Forwarded-*` headers using

  • Feb 25, 2026The Angular SSR is a server-rise rendering tool for Angular applications.CVE-2026-27738 · Other software · angular · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

The Angular SSR is a server-rise rendering tool for Angular applications. An Open Redirect vulnerability exists in the internal URL processing logic in versions on the 19.x branch prior to 19.2.21, the 20.x branch prior to 20.3.17, and the 21.x branch prior to 21.1.5 and 21.2.0-rc.1. The logic normalizes URL segments by stripping leading slashes; however, it only removes a single leading slash. When an Angular SSR application is deployed behind a proxy that passes the `X-Forwarded-Prefix` header, an attacker can provide a value starting with three slashes. This vulnerability allows attackers to conduct large-scale phishing and SEO hijacking. In order to be vulnerable, the application must use Angular SSR, the application must have routes that perform internal redirects, the infrastructure (Reverse Proxy/CDN) must pass the `X-Forwarded-Prefix` header to the SSR process without sanitization, and the cache must not vary on the `X-Forwarded-Prefix` header. Versions 21.2.0-rc.1, 21.1.5, 20.3.17, and 19.2.21 contain a patch. Until the patch is applied, developers should sanitize the `X-Forwarded-Prefix` header in their`server.ts` before the Angular engine processes the request.

  • Oct 16, 2025The Angular SSR is a server-rise rendering tool for Angular applications.CVE-2025-62427 · Other software · angular · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

The Angular SSR is a server-rise rendering tool for Angular applications. The vulnerability is a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) flaw within the URL resolution mechanism of Angular's Server-Side Rendering package (@angular/ssr) before 19.2.18, 20.3.6, and 21.0.0-next.8. The function createRequestUrl uses the native URL constructor. When an incoming request path (e.g., originalUrl or url) begins with a double forward slash (//) or backslash (\\), the URL constructor treats it as a schema-relative URL. This behavior overrides the security-intended base URL (protocol, host, and port) supplied as the second argument, instead resolving the URL against the scheme of the base URL but adopting the attacker-controlled hostname. This allows an attacker to specify an external domain in the URL path, tricking the Angular SSR environment into setting the page's virtual location (accessible via DOCUMENT or PlatformLocation tokens) to this attacker-controlled domain. Any subsequent relative HTTP requests made during the SSR process (e.g., using HttpClient.get('assets/data.json')) will be incorrectly resolved against the attacker's domain, forcing the server to communicate with an arbitrary ext
