  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: Disable interrupts while holding delayed_cmd_lock target_do_delayed_work() tCVE-2026-99207 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: Disable interrupts while holding delayed_cmd_lock target_do_delayed_work() takes dev->delayed_cmd_lock with a plain spin_lock(). It runs from system_percpu_wq, so interrupts stay enabled while the lock is held. Every other acquisition of that lock uses spin_lock_irqsave(): target_handle_task_attr() and transport_complete_ordered_sync() in target_core_transport.c, and target_non_ordered_release() in target_core_device.c. That was safe while every caller of transport_complete_task_attr() ran in process context: target_complete_ok_work() from target_completion_wq, transport_complete_qf() from dev->qf_work_queue, and transport_generic_request_failure() from the submit and execute paths. Since commit 06933066d88a ("scsi: target: Add support for completing commands from backend context") that is no longer true. With complete_type=1 on a fabric that sets direct_compl_supp, target_complete() runs target_complete_ok_work() inline in the backend's completion context, which target_complete_cmd_with_sense() documents as "May be called from interrupt context". For iblock that is the bio end_io. target_complet

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Fix use-after-free of a destroyed user DSQ by a deferred reenqueue A deferred rCVE-2026-99144 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Fix use-after-free of a destroyed user DSQ by a deferred reenqueue A deferred reenqueue can read a freed user DSQ. The request stays on its CPU's deferred list until run_deferred() takes it, and the RCU callback that frees the DSQ assumes that the grace period has flushed it, so exit_dsq() checks the per-CPU node without the deferred list lock. A grace period waits for readers in flight, not for a pending run_deferred(). A run_deferred() which starts after the grace period began can detach the request right before the callback looks and then read the freed DSQ's id. Cancel the pending requests before the grace period instead. The irq work that frees the DSQ unlinks every CPU's request under the per-CPU deferred list lock, and schedule_dsq_reenq() ignores a new request under the same lock once the id is invalid. Only a run_deferred() that started before the grace period can hold a request, and it runs with IRQs disabled, so the grace period waits for it and nothing touches the DSQ after the callback.

  • Oct 27, 2026When a message containing an OpenPGP key attachment was displayed, Thunderbird automatically loaded the attachment's content to offer importing the key.CVE-2026-118174 · Computers, phones & browsers · Mozilla · reported by security@mozilla.org

When a message containing an OpenPGP key attachment was displayed, Thunderbird automatically loaded the attachment's content to offer importing the key. A sender could mark the attachment as an external attachment pointing to an arbitrary URL, which Thunderbird then loaded without any user interaction, bypassing remote content blocking. On Windows, a URL pointing to an attacker-controlled network share could leak the user's NTLM credentials. The NTLM credential leak only affects Thunderbird on Windows. On other operating systems, the issue allowed a remote request that bypassed remote content blocking. This vulnerability was fixed in Thunderbird 159 and Thunderbird 153.6.

  • Oct 23, 2026The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser.CVE-2026-55486 · Other software · intranda · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3

The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser. From version 25.08 to before version 26.05, the IIIF Auth 2.0 endpoints auth/login and auth/token in AuthorizationFlowResource accept an origin query parameter without validation and then (1) embed it into the Content-Security-Policy: frame-ancestors response header and (2) embed it into an HTML response body as a JavaScript single-quoted postMessage argument. Because the attacker controls both the login and token calls that initiate the flow, the unescaped value yields reflected XSS. This issue has been patched in version 26.05.

  • Oct 23, 2026The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser.CVE-2026-55465 · Other software · intranda · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser. From version 22.04 to before version 26.05, the unauthenticated REST endpoint GET /api/v1/index/{solrField}/spatial/search concatenates the user-supplied region query parameter directly into a Solr query string with no escaping, no local-param stripping, and no runtime schema enforcement (the OpenAPI @Schema(pattern=...) annotation is documentation-only at the JAX-RS layer). An attacker can inject Solr local-param syntax ({!parent ...}, {!join ...}) and boolean operators to make access-restricted georeferenced records match the query, bypassing the access-condition filter. This issue has been patched in version 26.05.

  • Oct 23, 2026The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser.CVE-2026-55463 · Other software · intranda · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser. From version 4.11.0 to before version 26.05, several Jakarta WebSocket endpoints in goobi-viewer-core (DownloadTaskEndpoint, CampaignEndpoint, AutocompleteEndpoint, UserEndpoint) accept connections without verifying that the associated HttpSession belongs to a logged-in user, and none validate the Origin header against an allowlist. An unauthenticated attacker can therefore connect to these endpoints; through CampaignEndpoint this allows polluting the in-process crowdsourcing page-lock map and broadcasting forged lock messages, disrupting reviewers' work. This issue has been patched in version 26.05.

  • Oct 23, 2026The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser.CVE-2026-55459 · Other software · intranda · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4

The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser. From version 25.01 to before version 26.05, AuthenticationEndpoint.verifyOpenIdToken builds its verifier as JWT.require(algorithm).withIssuer(issuer).build() and does not enforce the aud claim during cryptographic validation. The aud check is performed manually afterwards via a single string-equality call, which only handles single-string aud values. In a multi-RP IdP setup, a token whose single-string aud matches the viewer's client ID but was issued for a different relying party passes the check and authenticates the attacker as the token's sub. This issue has been patched in version 26.05.

The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser. Prior to version 26.05, Configuration.getWebApiToken returns the empty string when webapi.authorization.token is not configured. AuthorizationFilter compares the supplied token against this default without first checking that the configured token is non-empty. A request to any @AuthorizationBinding-protected endpoint with an empty ?token= value is therefore accepted. This issue has been patched in version 26.05.

  • Oct 23, 2026The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser.CVE-2026-55444 · Other software · intranda · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser. Prior to version 26.05, the legacy RSS servlet (RssResolver, GET /rss/) accepts the q and filterQuery parameters and concatenates them into Solr queries without validation. The servlet predates the REST API layer and lacks the input validation present in GET /api/v1/records/rss. q forms the main query body (wrapped only in literal parentheses); filterQuery is passed directly as a Solr fq. An unauthenticated attacker can inject Solr boolean operators to break out of the wrapping and render the trailing access-condition filter-query suffix optional, so that access-restricted records are included in the generated RSS feed. The q and filterQuery parameters are the same underlying vulnerability in the same servlet; q (the main query body) has the broader scope. This issue has been patched in version 26.05.

  • Oct 23, 2026The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser.CVE-2026-55442 · Other software · intranda · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser. From version 23.03 to before version 26.05, SolrTools.cleanUpQuery() strips Solr local-parameter syntax ({!...}) from user-supplied query strings before they reach Solr. Its regex can be bypassed by wrapping the local parameter in a second pair of curly braces ({{!...}}): the outer braces are stripped, the inner {!...} survives intact, and a valid Solr local parameter is forwarded. The flaw is in the shared sanitizer, so it affects any endpoint that routes user input through cleanUpQuery. The double-brace bypass applies from v23.10 (the greedy \{(.+)\} regex); a related bare-!join rewrap path is present. This issue has been patched in version 26.05.

The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser. From version 24.03 to before version 26.05, ExternalFilesDownloader.getFilename() extracts the destination filename from a server-supplied Content-Disposition response header and passes it directly to Path.resolve() without stripping directory components. This allows for a malicious HTTP server that the viewer fetches from to supply an absolute path or ../ traversal sequences as the filename, writing attacker-controlled content to an arbitrary path writable by the Tomcat process. When targeting the deployed web-application directory, this yields remote code execution as the tomcat OS user. This issue has been patched in version 26.05.

  • Oct 23, 2026The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser.CVE-2026-46347 · Other software · intranda · reported by GitHubMedium 6.8

The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser. Prior to version 26.05, when a password reset link is visited, the application generates a replacement password in a predictable way and emails it to the account holder. The insufficient entropy allows the password to be brute-forced by an attacker who can approximate the server-side generation time. Exploiting this finding in isolation requires the victim to have triggered the reset themselves and the attacker to infer the server time from network or email metadata. This issue has been patched in version 26.05.

  • Oct 20, 2026DBI versions before 1.656 for Perl crash via type confusion in dbi_profile when a database handle is destroyed under a Profile Path with an {attr} element.CVE-2026-108518 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eLow 2.9

DBI versions before 1.656 for Perl crash via type confusion in dbi_profile when a database handle is destroyed under a Profile Path with an {attr} element. An {attr} element names a database handle attribute, which dbi_profile reads from the handle's inner hash. It expects the inner handle as a reference and dereferences it, but a handle that is being destroyed hands back the inner hash itself, so the dereference yields the hash's bucket array. A type check on that pointer usually fails and the call goes unprofiled. When the memory it addresses passes the check, the attribute lookup dereferences a NULL or invalid pointer and the process dies on SIGSEGV. The Path is set by the application, by the Profile handle attribute, or by the DBI_PROFILE environment variable, so `DBI_PROFILE={ImplementorClass}` can crash an unmodified program.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/entry: Fix irq_soft_mask corruption on replayed interrupt exit When __replay_soft_interrupts() replays a pending interrupt (e.g. PACA_IRQ_DEC -> timer_interrupt), it calls the handler directly with a synthetic pt_regs. The DEFINE_INTERRUPT_HANDLER_ASYNC wrapper around each handler calls arch_interrupt_async_exit_prepare() on the way out, which calls arch_interrupt_exit_prepare() -> local_irq_disable() -> arch_local_irq_disable(), which does: irq_soft_mask_set(IRQS_DISABLED) /* 0x1 */ This unconditionally overwrites irq_soft_mask with IRQS_DISABLED (0x1), stripping the IRQS_PMI_DISABLED (0x2) bit. The result is that irq_soft_mask is 0x1 instead of IRQS_ALL_DISABLED (0x3) when the handler returns to __replay_soft_interrupts(). For a normally-taken interrupt this is harmless: the next interrupt always enters through arch_interrupt_enter_prepare() which unconditionally sets irq_soft_mask to IRQS_ALL_DISABLED. But during replay, next_interrupt() is called directly between replayed handlers without going back through arch_interrupt_enter_prepare(), so the stripped bit is never restored. next_interrupt(

Nodemailer versions 5.0.0 through 10.0.1 use a process-global DNS cache that is keyed only by the DNS host, while each cache entry also stores the caller-specific TLS servername. When two direct TLS/SMTPS transports (secure: true) resolve the same non-IP host with different tls.servername values, the first transport's servername is returned on the cache hit and overwrites the second transport's explicitly configured value, so Nodemailer sends the wrong SNI value and validates the peer certificate against the wrong identity. In multi-tenant services or SNI-routed SMTP gateways, an attacker who can prime the cache can cause a victim transport to connect to the attacker's TLS virtual host and accept the attacker's certificate even with rejectUnauthorized: true, disclosing the victim's SMTP credentials. Catalyst::Seal versions before 0.03 for Perl allow one request to disable a path or route a later one past an authorization check via a dispatch memo keyed on the request path alone. Catalyst::Seal replaces the dispatcher's prepare_action with a version that memoises how a path resolved: which dispatch type matched, at which level, and what was left over as arguments. The key is the request path and nothing else. Action roles that match on the method, content type, scheme or query make that resolution depend on state the key does not carry, so the memo answers for a request it was not built from. A path that resolves to no action is memoised as well, and replaying that entry returns without consulting any dispatch type, so no action is set and the request fails. A GET of a path whose action is declared POST-only therefore disables that path for every later request, the correct POST included. An entry that did resolve replays the level the earlier descent reached. Where a POST-only action sits below a shallower action on the same path, a GET memoises the shallow route, and a later POST is dispatched there with an auto() guarding the deeper controller never running. The memo is cl

Query-execution paths that reach record data through LSM index files or the TimeSeries engine never invoke that permission check, so an authenticated user who is denied readRecord/deleteRecord on a type can still, with a single ordinary SQL statement, read the type's indexed key values and record IDs (e.g. SELECT key, rid FROM INDEX:Type[field]), read MAX/MIN values via the index shortcut, read and count TimeSeries samples, learn the type's record count, and delete index entries (DELETE FROM INDEX:Type[field]), which desynchronizes the index from the data and can defeat unique constraints. Index and type names needed for exploitation are discoverable because SELECT FROM schema:indexes is unfiltered. The issue affects both embedded and server deployments and all transports (HTTP, Bolt, Postgres, Gremlin) once a principal is bound. Fixed in 26.9.1.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-integrity: replace forgeable discard filler with a keyed sector marker The discard-block check in dm_integrity_rw_tag() treats a stored tag of all 0xf6 bytes (DISCARD_FILLER) as proof a block was discarded and skips HMAC verification. allow_discards is only accepted in dm-integrity's standalone mode. An attacker with raw write access to the backing device, but without the integrity key, can stamp any block with an all-0xf6 tag and have it served as authentic. Add a new "allow_discards_keyed" target argument that marks discarded blocks with a keyed checksum of (salt || sector) instead, computed by integrity_discard_checksum().

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md: wait for behind writes before destroying bitmap __md_stop() destroyed the bitmap before calling mddev_detach(). That made mddev_detach() skip bitmap_ops->wait_behind_writes(), because the bitmap was already disconnected from mddev. This was still safe for the legacy bitmap because bitmap_destroy() waits for behind writes itself. llbitmap keeps that wait in its ->wait_behind_writes() operation instead, while ->destroy() tears down the llbitmap storage. With the old ordering, RAID1 behind-write completions could still run after llbitmap storage had been freed. Call mddev_detach() before md_bitmap_destroy() so the common detach path can wait for behind writes while the bitmap is still alive. Only destroy the bitmap after those users are gone.

Authen::SASL::Perl::DIGEST_MD5 versions before 2.2100 for Perl accept replayed authentication responses via unverified nonce in server_step. server_start generates a fresh nonce and sends it in the challenge, and nothing later compares that value against the nonce the client returns. server_step derives the expected digest from the client's own parameters, so a response verifies whenever its digest matches the nonce it carries. The count table it also checks is keyed on the client-supplied nonce and starts empty in each new server object, so a captured first response, carrying `nc=00000001`, passes that too. RFC 2831 defines the nonce in the response as the value the server sent in the preceding challenge. An attacker who observes one successful `qop=auth` exchange can replay the captured response against a later session for the same service, host, realm and user, and authenticate as that user without knowing the password.

Improper Authentication vulnerability in team-alembic AshAuthentication allows purpose-limited JWTs to be replayed as full bearer API credentials when a resource uses stateless bearer-token verification. The bearer-token authentication helper AshAuthentication.Plug.Helpers.retrieve_from_bearer/3 verifies an Authorization: Bearer JWT's signature and rejects tokens containing an act claim, but performs no check that the token's purpose claim equals user at the bearer boundary. When the resource is configured with require_token_presence_for_authentication?: false (the DSL default), the follow-on validate_token/3 helper returns {:ok, nil} without consulting the token resource, so no downstream check on purpose takes place either. As a result, any valid, non-expired JWT the library itself issued for a narrow, single-purpose flow (most notably the purpose: sign_in token that WebAuthn always emits during sign-in, and that the Password strategy emits when sign-in tokens are enabled) is accepted directly as a general-purpose bearer credential and resolves to a full current_user assignment. This bypasses the library's intended token-exchange contract, in which the sign_in token is meant to

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: thunderbolt: Prevent XDomain delayed work use-after-free on disconnect tb_xdp_handle_request() runs on system_wq and queues xd->state_work via queue_delayed_work() in three request handlers: PROPERTIES_CHANGED_REQUEST, UUID_REQUEST (via start_handshake), and LINK_STATE_CHANGE_REQUEST. Similarly, update_xdomain() queues xd->properties_changed_work when local properties change. Concurrently, tb_xdomain_remove() calls stop_handshake() which does cancel_delayed_work_sync() on both delayed works. Later, tb_xdomain_unregister() calls device_unregister() which eventually frees the xdomain. Since commit 559c1e1e0134 ("thunderbolt: Run tb_xdp_handle_request() in system workqueue") moved the request handler off tb->wq, the handler and the remove path are no longer serialized. If queue_delayed_work() executes after cancel_delayed_work_sync() but before the xdomain is freed, the delayed work fires on a freed object. Add xd->removing that tb_xdomain_remove() sets under xd->lock before calling stop_handshake(). Each external queue site holds the same lock and checks removing before calling queue_delayed_work(). However this removed the RCU delay on freeing the inode itself and the cached symlink body (i_link), both of which can be accessed by RCU pathwalk (pick_link, may_lookup etc.). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix invalid pointer dereference in __btrfs_run_delayed_refs() In the beginning of the loop, we try to obtain a locked delayed ref head, if 'locked_ref' is currently NULL, by calling btrfs_select_ref_head(), which can return an error pointer. If the error pointer is -EAGAIN we do a continue and go back to the beginning of the loop, which will not try again to call btrfs_select_ref_head() since 'locked_ref' is no longer NULL but it's ERR_PTR(-EAGAIN), and then we do: spin_lock(&locked_ref->lock); against a ERR_PTR(-EAGAIN) value, generating an invalid pointer dereference. Fix this by ensuring that 'locked_ref' is set to NULL when btrfs_select_ref_head() returns ERR_PTR(-EAGAIN) and incrementing 'count' as well, to prevent infinite looping. We do this by doing a goto to the bottom of the loop that already sets 'locked_ref' to NULL and does a cond_resched(), with an increment to 'count' right before the goto. These measures were in place before the refactoring in commit 0110a4c43451 ("btrfs: refactor __btrfs_run_delayed_refs loop") but were unintentionally lost afterwards.
