  • Oct 27, 2026The push endpoint of a Vaadin application that uses server push reflects the request Origin into the Access-Control-Allow-Origin response header and allows credCVE-2026-110737 · Other software · vaadin · reported by security@vaadin.comLow 2.3

The push endpoint of a Vaadin application that uses server push reflects the request Origin into the Access-Control-Allow-Origin response header and allows credentials, because Flow configures Atmosphere with DROP_ACCESS_CONTROL_ALLOW_ORIGIN_HEADER set to false and its CorsInterceptor then echoes whatever Origin the request carries. A page on any origin can therefore make a cross origin request to that endpoint with the user's cookies and read the response, although reading anything useful also requires the push identifier of that session. Applications that do not use @Push are not affected, and neither is the WebSocket transport. The behaviour was introduced in January 2015 and is present in every Flow release and in Vaadin Framework from 7.1.0, which is when push was added. Users of affected versions should apply the following mitigation or upgrade. Releases that have fixed this issue include: Product version Vaadin 14.14.0 - 14.14.7 Vaadin 23.6.0 - 23.6.16 Vaadin 24.4.0 - 24.4.25 Vaadin 24.5.0 - 24.5.15 Vaadin 24.6.0 - 24.6.13 Vaadin 24.7.0 - 24.7.16 Vaadin 24.8.0 - 24.8.17 Vaadin 24.9.0 - 24.9.23 Vaadin 24.10.0 - 24.10.11 Vaadin 25.0.0 - 25.0.13 Vaadin 25.1.0 - 25.1.13 Vaadi

  • Oct 22, 2026The org.json parser in com.vaadin.external.google:android-json recurses once per nesting level with no depth limit: JSONTokener.nextValue() calls readArray() anCVE-2026-110974 · Other software · vaadin · reported by security@vaadin.comMedium 6.3

The org.json parser in com.vaadin.external.google:android-json recurses once per nesting level with no depth limit: JSONTokener.nextValue() calls readArray() and readObject(), which call nextValue() again. A deeply nested JSON document, around 20 KB of nested arrays with the default thread stack, makes the JSONArray and JSONObject constructors throw a raw java.lang.StackOverflowError instead of a JSONException. Any application that parses untrusted JSON with this library can be made to fail the thread doing the parsing. The artifact is a 2013 repackage of third-party org.json classes, published once and never maintained, and no fixed version will be released. Users of the affected version should apply the following mitigation. Product version com.vaadin.external.google:android-json 0.0.20131108.vaadin1 Mitigation No fixed version will be released. Replace the artifact with an org.json implementation that limits the nesting depth, such as org.json:json 20231013 or later. • Oct 21, 2026VaadinService.requestEnd() in Vaadin Framework 8 locks the session and then reads the v-uiId request parameter outside the block that releases the lock.CVE-2026-110803 · Other software · vaadin · reported by security@vaadin.comHigh 8.7

VaadinService.requestEnd() in Vaadin Framework 8 locks the session and then reads the v-uiId request parameter outside the block that releases the lock. A request carrying a non-numeric v-uiId makes Integer.parseInt throw while the session lock is held, so the lock is never released and the container thread returns to its pool still owning it. Every later request to that session then blocks forever in VaadinService.lockSession(), and repeating the request exhausts the thread pool and takes the application down. No authentication is required: a session cookie, which any client obtains with a single request, is enough. Vaadin 10 and later are not affected, because Flow releases the lock in a finally block and does not read that parameter there, and Vaadin Framework 7 is not affected either. Users of affected versions should apply the following mitigation or upgrade. Releases that have fixed this issue include: Product version Vaadin Framework 8.16.0 - 8.32.1 Mitigation Upgrade to 8.32.2 Vaadin Framework 7 and Vaadin 10 and later do not carry this behaviour and need no upgrade for this issue. Vaadin Charts renders charts with the Highcharts library and pins an exact version of it, 9.2.2 in Vaadin 22 to 24 and 12.2.0 in Vaadin 25, so an application cannot remove these vulnerabilities by upgrading Highcharts on its own. Highsoft disclosed several vulnerabilities in that library that are reachable through the chart configuration: writes to Object.prototype through dotted series.keys paths, and cross-site scripting through credits.href, through breadcrumbs.style, through HTML text parsing while printing, and through xlink:href attributes in exported charts. An application is affected where data an attacker controls reaches the chart configuration, for example through additionalOptions, through updateConfiguration(), or through text options that accept markup. The fixed Vaadin versions apply Highsoft's recommended workarounds to the bundled Highcharts when it loads, and keep the same Highcharts version. Users of affected versions should apply the following mitigation or upgrade. Releases that have fixed this issue include: Product version Vaadin 22.0.0 - 23.6.15 Vaadin 24.0.0 - 24.4.23 Vaadin 24.5.0 - 24.7.15 Vaadin 24.8.0 - 24.9.22 Vaadin 24.10.0 - 24.10.10 Vaadin 25.0.0

  • Mar 10, 2026Specially crafted ZIP archives can escape the intended extraction directory during Node.js download and extraction in Vaadin 14.2.0 through 14.14.0, 15.0.0 throCVE-2026-2741 · Other software · vaadin · reported by security@vaadin.comLow 2.3

Specially crafted ZIP archives can escape the intended extraction directory during Node.js download and extraction in Vaadin 14.2.0 through 14.14.0, 15.0.0 through 23.6.6, 24.0.0 through 24.9.8, and 25.0.0 through 25.0.2. Vaadin’s build process can automatically download and extract Node.js if it is not installed locally. If an attacker can intercept or control this download via DNS hijacking, a MITM attack, a compromised mirror, or a supply chain attack, they can serve a malicious archive containing path traversal sequences that write files outside the intended extraction directory. Users of affected versions should use a globally preinstalled Node.js version compatible with their Vaadin version, or upgrade as follows: 14.2.0-14.14.0 to 14.14.1, 15.0.0-23.6.6 to 23.6.7, 24.0.0-24.9.8 to 24.9.9, and 25.0.0-25.0.2 to 25.0.3 or newer. • Jan 5, 2026Action captions in Vaadin accept HTML by default but were not sanitized, potentially allowing Cross-site Scripting (XSS) if caption content is derived from userCVE-2025-15022 · Other software · vaadin · reported by security@vaadin.comMedium 4.8

Action captions in Vaadin accept HTML by default but were not sanitized, potentially allowing Cross-site Scripting (XSS) if caption content is derived from user input. In Vaadin Framework 7 and 8, the Action class is a general-purpose class that may be used by multiple components. The fixed versions sanitize captions by default and provide an API to explicitly enable HTML content mode for backwards compatibility. Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
