  • Aug 6, 2026A flaw was found in udisks2.CVE-2026-7867 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.8

A flaw was found in udisks2. A local attacker with an active console session can exploit insufficient authorization checking on the 'as-user' option in the org.freedesktop.UDisks2.Filesystem.Mount() D-Bus method. This allows the attacker to spoof the 'as-user' parameter, mounting filesystems on behalf of arbitrary users, including privileged accounts. This can lead to local privilege escalation through mount point injection and manipulation of the mount namespace visible to privileged users.

  • Feb 25, 2026A flaw was found in the udisks storage management daemon that allows unprivileged users to back up LUKS encryption headers without authorization.CVE-2026-26104 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.5

A flaw was found in the udisks storage management daemon that allows unprivileged users to back up LUKS encryption headers without authorization. The issue occurs because a privileged D-Bus method responsible for exporting encryption metadata does not perform a policy check. As a result, sensitive cryptographic metadata can be read and written to attacker-controlled locations. This weakens the confidentiality guarantees of encrypted storage volumes.

  • Feb 25, 2026A flaw was found in the udisks storage management daemon that exposes a privileged D-Bus API for restoring LUKS encryption headers without proper authorization CVE-2026-26103 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.1

A flaw was found in the udisks storage management daemon that exposes a privileged D-Bus API for restoring LUKS encryption headers without proper authorization checks. The issue allows a local unprivileged user to instruct the root-owned udisks daemon to overwrite encryption metadata on block devices. This can permanently invalidate encryption keys and render encrypted volumes inaccessible. Successful exploitation results in a denial-of-service condition through irreversible data loss.

  • Aug 28, 2025A flaw was found in the Udisks daemon, where it allows unprivileged users to create loop devices using the D-BUS system.CVE-2025-8067 · Other software · storaged-project · reported by Red HatHigh 8.5

A flaw was found in the Udisks daemon, where it allows unprivileged users to create loop devices using the D-BUS system. This is achieved via the loop device handler, which handles requests sent through the D-BUS interface. As two of the parameters of this handle, it receives the file descriptor list and index specifying the file where the loop device should be backed. The function itself validates the index value to ensure it isn't bigger than the maximum value allowed. However, it fails to validate the lower bound, allowing the index parameter to be a negative value. Under these circumstances, an attacker can cause the UDisks daemon to crash or perform a local privilege escalation by gaining access to files owned by privileged users.

UDisks 2.8.0 has a format string vulnerability in udisks_log in udiskslogging.c, allowing attackers to obtain sensitive information (stack contents), cause a denial of service (memory corruption), or possibly have unspecified other impact via a malformed filesystem label, as demonstrated by %d or %n substrings.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
