  • Oct 30, 2026In pgAdmin 4 server mode only administrators are meant to share a server with all users; the server dialog shows the Shared switch only to them.CVE-2026-116248 · Other software · pgadmin.org · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007Medium 6

In pgAdmin 4 server mode only administrators are meant to share a server with all users; the server dialog shows the Shared switch only to them. The create and update endpoints of the server API, however, stored the "shared" flag and shared username they were sent, so any user able to register a server could share one with every other user. The servers.json import had a similar gap: a non-administrator's "Shared" entries were removed only after validation, so a file that also held an invalid entry could create a shared server. A shared server carries no credentials, so this gives no direct access. It lets a user plant a server, named to look trusted, in every other user's tree and pointing at a host the user controls; anyone who then connects to it presents their own database password to that host. The fix refuses a non-administrator's request that would share a server with HTTP 403, prunes a non-administrator's shared entries from a servers.json import before validating it, and warns at startup about servers shared earlier by non-administrators. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.19.

  • Oct 30, 2026To pass a server's password to psql and to the utilities pgAdmin 4 runs as background processes, the server manager wrote it into pgAdmin's own process environmCVE-2026-116246 · Other software · pgadmin.org · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007High 7

To pass a server's password to psql and to the utilities pgAdmin 4 runs as background processes, the server manager wrote it into pgAdmin's own process environment: as PGPASSWORD for the PSQL tool, and under a per-process variable for a utility. Nothing removed it afterwards. pgAdmin's environment is shared by every user's requests and copied into every process it starts, so in server mode another user's later PSQL session or utility inherited the password, and libpq used PGPASSWORD for any connection made without a password of its own, letting one user connect with another user's saved password. The fix puts the password only into the environment built for the process that needs it and starts psql with a copy of pgAdmin's environment instead of the environment itself. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.19.

When logging in to a Matrix account, Thunderbird used the homeserver address provided in the server's login response without validating it. A malicious or compromised homeserver could provide a file: URL, causing Thunderbird to send all further Matrix requests of that session to local files or, on Windows, to an attacker-controlled network share, which could leak the user's NTLM credentials. The NTLM credential leak only affects Thunderbird on Windows. Other operating systems are unaffected. This vulnerability was fixed in Thunderbird 159 and Thunderbird 153.6.

  • Oct 25, 2026HTTP::Server::PSGI versions before 1.0056 for Perl allow a single request to crash the server by declaring a large Content-Length.CVE-2026-115825 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441e

HTTP::Server::PSGI versions before 1.0056 for Perl allow a single request to crash the server by declaring a large Content-Length. The request body is read with sysread() calls sized by the remaining Content-Length. Perl grows the read buffer to the requested length before any data arrives, so the server tries to allocate as much memory as the client declares. A remote attacker can send one request with a large Content-Length and a few body bytes, and perl exits with an out-of-memory error before the application is called. HTTP::Server::PSGI runs as a single process, so the server stays down until restarted.

A registered user can store a crafted media path with a post, get it past the checks that normally restrict it, and have the publishing worker read an arbitrary file and send it as an attachment to a Discord server the user controls. The same unconfined reads can be reached through two further routes. One tells the caller whether a file exists and can exhaust the backend's memory, the other delivers the file the same way as the main route. Incorrect authorization in the COM administration API of Progressive Robot hMailServer 6.3.4 through 6.3.6 allows an account assigned the serveradmin role with a list of domains - a credential an administrator may create meaning to confine it to those domains - to act as the whole-server administrator over COM. Administrator roles are meant to confine such a credential to the domains its list names, and the REST API did not take it for the server administrator, but the COM API's server-administrator check read the administer_server permission as the whole server whatever list the grant carried. So the credential signed in through the Control Panel, or through a script run on the server, as the server administrator of every domain: it could read and change every domain's accounts and mail, rename any domain, map a domain alias onto any, write the server's settings and secrets, and create further server-administrator accounts. The COM API's domain-administrator check, asked with no domain, likewise let an account assigned the domainadmin role with a list of domains that leaves out the account's own domain administer that domain's ordinary accounts over COM. • Oct 21, 2026The MySQL client response parser in Apache bRPC dereferences a null pointer when the server peer sends a zero-payload-length response packet.CVE-2026-90484 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 6.5

The MySQL client response parser in Apache bRPC dereferences a null pointer when the server peer sends a zero-payload-length response packet. A response packet whose declared payload length is zero is accepted by the frame-length check (is_full_package), after which the parser reads the response type byte via an unbounded 5-byte fetch that returns nullptr, and type = p[4] dereferences it, crashing the client process. Root Cause: In brpc::policy::MysqlReply::ConsumePartialIOBuf, buf.fetch(header, 5) returns nullptr when the buffered data only holds the 4-byte header of a zero-length packet, then the code reads p[4] (and, in the fast-auth path, p2[4]) without checking for a null or zero-length packet. Affected Scenarios: A brpc MySQL client connecting to a malicious or compromised MySQL server (or a MITM) can be crashed by a zero-length server response packet, resulting in denial of service of the client. Fix: The fix rejects zero-length response packets (returning PARSE_ERROR_ABSOLUTELY_WRONG) both for the initial response type determination and after a fast-auth marker, before reading the type byte. • Oct 21, 2026NULL pointer dereference in the RTMP protocol implementation in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to crash the server (denCVE-2026-82953 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 5.3

NULL pointer dereference in the RTMP protocol implementation in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to crash the server (denial of service) via a crafted createStream command. Root Cause: When an RTMP service rejects a createStream request by returning a null stream from RtmpService::NewStream(), the server sends an error response to the client. If writing this rejection response fails (for example, because the client closes the connection immediately after sending the createStream command), the error-handling path in RtmpChunkStream::OnCreateStream() dereferences the null stream pointer to access stream->_onfail_id, causing the process to crash. Affected Scenarios: Run an Apache bRPC RTMP server whose RtmpService::NewStream() may return null (i.e., the service rejects createStream requests). A remote client that sends a createStream command and then closes the connection before the rejection response is written can crash the server. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options) 1. • Oct 21, 2026A data race in the RDMA transport of Apache bRPC (versions < 1.18.0) allows a remote client to crash the server process (denial of service) when RDMA is enabledCVE-2026-82942 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.5

A data race in the RDMA transport of Apache bRPC (versions < 1.18.0) allows a remote client to crash the server process (denial of service) when RDMA is enabled at build time and runtime. Root Cause: When a bRPC server negotiates RDMA with a client, the handshake completes on the TCP fd, but the server kept parsing that fd afterwards as if it were still an RPC channel. The TCP-fd input stream and the RDMA QP input stream (driven by CQ events) shared the same Socket::_read_buf, preferred_index and parsing_context without synchronization. In addition, CQ event processing could start while the handshake parsing was still in progress, and the handshake ACK phase could consume bytes belonging to the next protocol. A remote, unauthenticated client that has completed the RDMA handshake can send data on the TCP fd at the same time RDMA messages are being processed, corrupting the shared input buffer and parser state and crashing the server process (CWE-362, availability impact). Affected Scenarios: Use a bRPC server with RDMA support enabled (built with BRPC_WITH_RDMA and serving rdma:// / SOCKET_MODE_RDMA sockets) and accept connections from untrusted clients. Deployments without RDMA a

  • Oct 21, 2026A Thrift client in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0, built with WITH_THRIFT which is off by default) can be crashed by the server peer it talks to.CVE-2026-82231 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.5

A Thrift client in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0, built with WITH_THRIFT which is off by default) can be crashed by the server peer it talks to. When the server returns a T_EXCEPTION reply whose exception struct is malformed, the client decodes it without catching what Apache Thrift throws (TProtocolException, TTransportException or std::length_error). The exception unwinds out of the bthread task function and the process calls std::terminate(), terminating the whole process along with every other in-flight RPC. This is the client response path, so the adversary is the server peer, which THREAT_MODEL.md treats as untrusted. It requires a WITH_THRIFT build (off by default). How to Fix: 1. Uncontrolled recursion in the mcpack2pb component in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to make the server crash via sending deeply nested mcpack data. Root Cause: The bRPC mcpack2pb parser (used to serve nshead_mcpack / ubrpc / public_pbrpc requests) recursively parses nested objects and arrays without any depth limit. For a protobuf message that references itself (e.g. a repeated message field), the generated parser recurses once per nesting level of the incoming mcpack object. A deeply nested request makes the recursion grow unbounded, overflow the stack and crash the process. Affected Scenarios: Use bRPC server with a recursive-schema protobuf message to serve nshead_mcpack / ubrpc / public_pbrpc requests from untrusted network. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options) 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. • Oct 21, 2026Enforceable assertion in the streaming feature of Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows a remote attacker to crash the server process by sendinCVE-2026-82210 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.5

Enforceable assertion in the streaming feature of Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows a remote attacker to crash the server process by sending a malformed stream feedback frame. Root Cause: When handling FRAME_TYPE_FEEDBACK frames, bRPC calls Stream::SetRemoteConsumed() which contains CHECK(_cur_buf_size > 0) and unconditionally asserts CHECK(buf.IsEmpty()) on the frame payload. A feedback frame that carries an unexpected payload, or a feedback frame received on a stream where flow control is disabled (cur_buf_size == 0), reaches these assertions. On failure, CHECK failures abort the process, allowing an unauthenticated single client (once a stream is established) to terminate the server and cause a denial of service. Affected Scenarios: Use bRPC server with the streaming control feature (Stream API) served from untrusted network. How to Fix: 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Uncontrolled resource allocation in the mcpack2pb component in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to make the server allocate a large amount of memory via sending a crafted mcpack request with a huge array item count. Root Cause: The bRPC mcpack2pb parser trusts the item count stored in the mcpack array header without validating it against the actual payload size. The code generated by the mcpack2pb protoc plugin uses this count to preallocate memory for repeated protobuf fields via Reserve(). A malformed request declaring item_count = 0x7fffffff can force the server to preallocate about 16GB of virtual memory, which may abort the process (SIGABRT) on memory-constrained hosts. Affected Scenarios: Use a bRPC server that wires a NsheadService to UbrpcMcpack2Adaptor (the Baidu ubrpc deployment pattern) and parses requests with code generated by the mcpack2pb protoc plugin. The request body is parsed before authentication. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options) 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apache bRPC versions before 1.18.0 validate the server certificate chain when client TLS peer verification is enabled, but do not bind the certificate to an expected DNS name or IP address. A network attacker who can redirect or intercept a connection and who possesses a certificate issued by a CA trusted by the client for another name may impersonate the requested TLS endpoint. Affected Scenarios: Applications use a bRPC client Channel to connect to an untrusted network with certificate verification enabled and trust a CA that can issue certificates for identities other than the intended endpoint. How to Fix: Upgrade to Apache bRPC 1.18.0 and enable VERIFY_PEER with a positive verify_depth. HTTPS Channels automatically verify the certificate against the host in the Channel URL. Callers may set VerifyOptions::expected_peer_name explicitly when the certificate identity differs from the URL host. Alternatively, apply the patch from https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3408 . Unchecked input for a loop condition in Progressive Robot hMailServer 6.0.0 through 6.3.6 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to stop the server carrying mail. The server bounds the mail it generates in response to a message - a rule forward, reply or copy, an account forward, a Sieve redirect, vacation or notify, a bounce, an out-of-office reply - by a counter it carries in the message's X-hMailServer-LoopCount header, and makes no more once the counter reaches the configured rule loop limit (5 by default); that is what ends a forwarding or auto-reply cycle in a bounded number of hops. X-hMailServer-LoopCount is an ordinary header that is not stripped from mail arriving from outside, and the server read it with a signed conversion and no validation, so a count below zero passed every test against the limit: a sender who sets X-hMailServer-LoopCount to a negative value, or on the Linux builds to a value above the 32-bit signed range that the conversion wraps to a negative one, lifts the bound, and a message that enters a generated-mail cycle then loops up to about two thousand million times, each hop a queued message and a delivery, filling the queue and disk and stopping mail

  • Oct 16, 2026countly-server is the server-side part of Countly, a product analytics solution.CVE-2026-44977 · Other software · Countly · reported by GitHubCritical 9

countly-server is the server-side part of Countly, a product analytics solution. Prior to 24.05.50 and 25.03.44, plugins/star-rating/api/api.js allows a non-global application administrator to use uploadFeedbackFile to store attacker-controlled active content while trusting the supplied MIME type. plugins/star-rating/frontend/app.js publicly serves the stored content from feedback/preview/ with the attacker-influenced Content-Type, so a global administrator who opens the preview executes the payload in the Countly origin and exposes authenticated session capabilities, including auth_token and csrf_token values. This issue is fixed in versions 24.05.50 and 25.03.44.

countly-server is the server-side part of Countly, a product analytics solution. Prior to 24.05.50 and 25.03.44, star-rating/images/ and dashboards/images/screenshots/ are among public image and screenshot routes using the local fs storage backend that call getStream and pipe filesystem streams to HTTP responses without an error listener. An unauthenticated request containing a URL-encoded dot can make createReadStream open a directory, emit an asynchronous EISDIR error, and terminate the Node.js process as an unhandled exception, allowing repeated requests to keep the analytics API unavailable. The affected routes also include /appimages/*, /memberimages/*, and */screenshots/*. This issue is fixed in versions 24.05.50 and 25.03.44.

countly-server is the server-side part of Countly, a product analytics solution. Prior to 24.05.50 and 25.03.44, the authenticated data-migration deletion route in plugins/data_migration/api/api.js passes the user-controlled exportid to clean_up_data without path validation. plugins/data_migration/api/data_migration_helper.js concatenates that identifier into a path resolved outside the intended import directory and calls remove recursively, allowing an application administrator or user with migration permission to delete writable files or directory trees and cause data loss or service disruption. • Oct 13, 2026Use of freed memory in the aggregation feature of MongoDB Server can cause the server to read data from a memory area after it has been released.CVE-2026-96297 · Other software · MongoDB · reported by cna@mongodb.comMedium 6

Use of freed memory in the aggregation feature of MongoDB Server can cause the server to read data from a memory area after it has been released. When an internal aggregation stage is combined with a batch size of 0, the server may read from memory that is no longer in use. Because that memory can be reused for other data before it is read, query results returned to the client may contain unrelated data from the server process. Depending on the state of memory at the time, the server process may also terminate unexpectedly. The behavior can occur when an authenticated user with read privileges runs an aggregate command that combines these two settings.
