  • Oct 27, 2026CTFer.io's CTFd Terraform Provider manages CTFd resources as code.CVE-2026-116683 · Other software · ctfer-io · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

CTFer.io's CTFd Terraform Provider manages CTFd resources as code. From 0.1.5 until 2.8.2, ctfd_team.password is stored as a non-sensitive value in Terraform state. A local or remote user with access to that state can read the team password without an additional decryption step. This issue is fixed in 2.8.2.

  • Oct 27, 2026Atlantis is a self-hosted golang application that listens for Terraform pull request events via webhooks.CVE-2026-116676 · Other software · runatlantis · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

Atlantis is a self-hosted golang application that listens for Terraform pull request events via webhooks. From version 0.4.0 until 0.47.1, Atlantis passes the pull-request-controlled workspace value from atlantis.yaml into Terraform command arguments that are joined with strings.Join(args, " ") and executed through sh -c. An authenticated contributor whose pull request is eligible for an Atlantis plan can include shell metacharacters in the workspace name, causing arbitrary commands to execute as the Atlantis service account without custom workflows, apply permission, or a malicious Terraform provider. External contributors can reach the flaw through fork pull requests only when --allow-fork-prs is enabled, while eligible same-repository branches do not require that option. The commands inherit the Atlantis process environment and can access cloud-provider, Terraform, and version-control credentials as well as files, state, and network resources available to the service. This issue is fixed in version 0.47.1.

  • Oct 26, 2026Burrito is a Terraform Automation Collaboration Software (TACoS) Kubernetes operator.CVE-2026-102649 · Other software · padok-team · reported by GitHubCritical 9.9

Burrito is a Terraform Automation Collaboration Software (TACoS) Kubernetes operator. Prior to 0.13.0, `POST /api/webhook` accepts unsigned GitHub and GitLab events when a `TerraformRepository`'s credentials omit `webhookSecret` or set it to an empty value, including credentials configured for git authentication and polling. `Credential.WebhookSecret` is optional, and `go-playground/webhooks` skips signature or token verification when the secret is empty. Anyone who can reach `burrito-server`'s endpoint and knows a tracked repository's URL can forge events to create or delete `TerraformPullRequest` custom resources with attacker-chosen `Branch`, `Base`, and `ID` fields. For GitHub `pull_request` events, the controller fetches changed files using the real pull request number but does not cross-check the payload's branch against that pull request. Pairing a real, existing pull request number with an unrelated existing branch in the same repository can therefore cause an unauthorized `terraform plan` for affected layers using the operator's stored git and cloud credentials. Code analysis also indicates that the resulting plan can be posted to the real pull request's comment thread, ex

  • Oct 14, 2026mise manages dev tools like node, python, cmake, and terraform.CVE-2026-103929 · Other software · jdx · reported by GitHubHigh 7.8

mise manages dev tools like node, python, cmake, and terraform. Prior to 2026.7.14, in the default non-safe mode, mise loads .mise.toml [settings] from an untrusted local project before trust approval and strip_local_only_settings removes only fields marked global_only. The unix_default_file_shell_args, unix_default_inline_shell_args, windows_default_file_shell_args, and windows_default_inline_shell_args settings were not marked global_only, allowing a repository to replace the default interpreter arguments used by trusted tasks that have no explicit shell, postinstall directives, template exec operations, or hooks that fall back to the default shell. When mise appends the trusted command after the attacker-controlled interpreter arguments, the attacker-selected command can execute first with the developer account's privileges even though the local configuration was never trusted. The separate path-sanitization hardening note in the advisory is outside this vulnerability. This issue is fixed in version 2026.7.14.

  • Sep 15, 2026Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform.CVE-2026-63443 · Other software · coder · reported by GitHubHigh 8.3

Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform. Prior to 2.29.19, 2.32.9, 2.33.10, and 2.34.4, agentConn.apiClient() follows redirects while its custom transport accepts the host from the redirected request URL when the port is the workspace agent HTTP API port 4. An authenticated user who controls a modified workspace agent and knows another online agent's UUID can derive the victim's tailnet address and redirect control-plane requests to that agent. HTTP 301, 302, and 303 redirects can redirect read requests, while HTTP 307 and 308 preserve replayable write and process-start requests. The redirected workspace agent file APIs can read or write files as the victim workspace user, and affected versions exposing the workspace agent process API can execute commands after a redirected file write, crossing workspace and tenant boundaries. This issue is fixed in versions 2.29.19, 2.32.9, 2.33.10, and 2.34.4.

Atlantis is a self-hosted golang application that listens for Terraform pull request events via webhooks. From 0.19.8 until 0.45.0, Atlantis does not consistently validate user-controlled workspace values supplied through accepted repository-level atlantis.yaml configuration or authenticated /api/plan input before joining them into local workspace paths. Traversal segments can escape the intended per-pull workspace directory and cause clone preparation or other working-directory code paths to call os.RemoveAll, os.MkdirAll, or related filesystem operations on out-of-bounds directories before Terraform rejects the invalid workspace name. This can create, delete, or reuse writable paths with the privileges of the Atlantis process, causing integrity loss or denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 0.45.0.

Snowflake Terraform Provider versions prior to 2.18.0 contain several security vulnerabilities, including SQL injection via an unsanitized data source input could result in arbitrary SQL execution under the provider's privileged Snowflake session, potentially enabling sensitive data exfiltration and minting of long-lived access credentials. Exploitation requires the ability for an attacker to influence a workspace variable in a pipeline where this data source was enabled. Improper neutralization of identifier content in user resource inputs could allow DDL injection into user management statements, potentially causing accounts to be created with attacker-controlled credentials and without the security controls configured by the operator. The fix is available in Snowflake Terraform Provider version 2.18.0. Users must manually upgrade.

  • Jul 7, 2026Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform.CVE-2026-55438 · Other software · coder · reported by GitHubMedium 5.8

Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform. Prior to versions 2.29.17, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2, Coder's subdomain-based workspace app proxy allowed the same-owner CORS check to be bypassed. When a workspace-name subdomain segment parsed as a UUID, the workspace was resolved by ID without confirming the URL's username matched the real owner, while the CORS middleware trusted the unverified username in the hostname. Practical exploitation requires subdomain app routing (wildcard hostname) enabled and a victim who visits the attacker's crafted app URL while authenticated. The fix in versions 2.29.17, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2 validates the subdomain username against the resolved workspace's actual owner and bases the same-owner CORS decision on the authoritative owner identity. No known workarounds are available.

  • Jul 7, 2026Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform.CVE-2026-55437 · Other software · coder · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4

Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform. Prior to versions 2.29.17, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2, the `AgentLogLine` dashboard component instantiated `ansi-to-html` without `escapeXML: true` and inserted the result via `dangerouslySetInnerHTML` so HTML embedded in workspace agent log lines was rendered as live markup. Server-side sanitization did not neutralize HTML metacharacters. Exploitation requires a victim to view attacker-controlled agent logs in the dashboard. The fix in versions 2.29.17, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2 enables `escapeXML: true` so HTML metacharacters are escaped before DOM insertion. No known workarounds are available.

  • Jul 7, 2026Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform.CVE-2026-55436 · Other software · coder · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4

Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform. Starting in version 2.30.0 and prior to versions 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2, the AI Bridge Proxy (`aibridgeproxyd`) created a goproxy server whose default transport set `InsecureSkipVerify: true` and only assigned a secure transport when an upstream proxy was configured. In the default configuration (no upstream proxy), outbound HTTPS to the Coder access URL accepted any TLS certificate. Practical exploitation requires an on-path (man-in-the-middle) position between the AI Bridge Proxy and the Coder server. Deployments where they are co-located over loopback are effectively unaffected. The fix in versions 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2 applies the secure transport (TLS 1.2 or higher using system root CAs) unconditionally. As a workaround, ensure the Coder access URL uses a trusted certificate and secure the network path between the AI Bridge Proxy and the Coder server (for example, loopback or mTLS).

Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform. Prior to versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2, the devcontainer recreate endpoint relied on route middleware that checked only `ActionRead` on the workspace and, unlike the sibling delete endpoint, performed no `ActionUpdate` check before triggering the destructive rebuild. Exploitation requires an existing low-privilege role with access to the target workspace. Exploitation requires the ability to register sub-agent apps in a workspace the attacker controls. The fix in versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2clamps the sub-agent app sharing level to the template's `MaxPortSharingLevel`. Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform. Prior to versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2, `coder open app` opens external workspace-app URLs without validating the scheme or host. When an external app URL contains the `$SESSION_TOKEN` placeholder the CLI replaces it with the user's real session token before handing the URL to the OS open handler. Practical exploitation requires the victim to run `coder open app` against a workspace whose external app definition the attacker controls. Only a malicious template author can control external app URLs. The fix in versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2 applies a URL-scheme allowlist in the CLI and limits `$SESSION_TOKEN` substitution to trusted destinations like the web frontend. As a workaround, avoid running `coder open app` for untrusted workspaces.

Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform. Prior to versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2, the workspace app proxy resolves the target app from `httpapi.RequestHost()` which prefers the `X-Forwarded-Host` header over the real `Host` header. No middleware strips `X-Forwarded-Host` before routing and the header is not browser-forbidden so client-side JavaScript can set it on `fetch()` calls. Practical exploitation requires subdomain app routing (wildcard hostname) enabled, a victim who visits the attacker's shared app and a deployment whose upstream proxy does not strip `X-Forwarded-Host`. The fix in versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2 trusts `X-Forwarded-Host` only from configured trusted proxies and otherwise resolves the routing host from the verified request host. As a workaround, place an upstream reverse proxy that strips or overwrites `X-Forwarded-Host` on untrusted requests.

Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform. Prior to versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2, `UpsertWorkspaceApp` overwrites an existing app's `agent_id` on a primary-key conflict and `insertAgentApp` accepts the app ID from the provisioner's `CompleteJob` payload without verifying it belongs to the workspace being built. `CompleteJob` runs under `dbauthz.AsProvisionerd` so the authorization layer does not block the cross-workspace upsert. Exploitation requires elevated access as a template author or external provisioner operator. The fix in versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2 verifies that any existing `workspace_apps` row matching the supplied ID belongs to the workspace being built and rejects cross-workspace agent reassignment. The fix in versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2 validates each `AllowedIPs` prefix against the authenticating agent's UUID just like `Addresses`. As a workaround, monitor coordinator logs for agents advertising unexpected `AllowedIPs` prefixes.

Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform. Prior to versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2, `coder config-ssh` wrote server-supplied SSH settings (`HostnameSuffix`, `SSHConfigOptions`) into the user's `~/.ssh/config` without sanitizing embedded newlines or restricting directives so a malicious or compromised Coder server could inject arbitrary SSH configuration. Practical exploitation requires control of the server-supplied values through a malicious or compromised deployment, a man-in-the-middle position or admin access to the `HostnameSuffix` and `SSHConfigOptions` settings. The fix in versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2 validates `HostnameSuffix` and `SSHConfigOptions` against a strict character set that rejects newlines and other control characters. As a workaround, inspect `coder config-ssh --dry-run` output before applying changes.

Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform. Starting in version 2.24.0 and prior to versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2, `NewDataBuilder` in `provisionersdk/proto/dataupload.go` allocated a byte slice using the client-supplied `FileSize` from a `DataUpload` message without an upper-bound check. Although the DRPC wire limit is 4 MiB, the `FileSize` value itself was unconstrained. The fix in versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2 validates `FileSize` against an upper bound (`MaxFileSize = 100 MiB`) before allocation. As a workaround, restrict access to the provisioner daemon serve endpoint to trusted provisioner daemon service accounts.

Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform. Starting in version 2.17.0 and prior to versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2, `POST /api/v2/files` converts zip uploads to tar in memory via `CreateTarFromZip`, which enforced a per-entry size limit but no aggregate limit on total decompressed output, writing to an unbounded in-memory buffer. Exploitation requires authenticated file-upload access and the impact is limited to availability (denial of service). The fix in versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2 adds a metadata preflight check that sums projected entry sizes and a streaming writer that enforces the aggregate limit during decompression. As a workaround, restrict file-upload permissions to trusted users or place a reverse proxy with request-body size limits in front of `coderd`.

Prior to versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2, the `PUT /api/v2/users/{user}/password` endpoint authorized only `ActionUpdatePersonal` and did not prevent a `user-admin` from resetting an `owner` account's password. It also did not require the current password when an admin reset another user's password. Exploitation requires the privileged `user-admin` role so practical risk is limited to deployments that grant `user-admin` to less trusted operators. The fix in versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2 prevents non-owner users from resetting the password of an account that holds the `owner` role. Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform. Prior to versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2, Coder's OIDC callback checked `email_verified` with a direct Go `bool` type assertion. When an IdP returned the claim as a non-boolean (for example the string `"false"`) or omitted it, the assertion failed open and the email was treated as verified. Combined with an unconditional email-based account fallback, this enabled account takeover. The fix in versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2 coerces `email_verified` across bool, string and numeric types (fail-closed) and blocks the email fallback when the matched user already has a different linked IdP subject. As a workaround, ensure the IdP returns `email_verified` as a native JSON boolean. The email-fallback linking issue has no configuration workaround; upgrading is required.

Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform. Prior to versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2, two flaws in Coder's OIDC login chained into account takeover. Email-based user matching fell back to linking by email without checking for an existing link to a different IdP subject and the `email_verified` claim was only enforced when present as a boolean `false` so an absent or non-boolean claim was treated as verified. The fix in versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2 restricts the email fallback to first-time and legacy linking and defaults `email_verified` to false when the claim is absent or of an unexpected type. As a workaround, configure the OIDC provider to disallow self-registration or to require email verification before issuing tokens.

Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform. In versions prior tp 2.24.5, 2.29.13, 2.30.8, 2.31.12, 2.32.2, and 2.33.3, `azureidentity.Validate()` verifies that the PKCS#7 signer certificate chains to a trusted Azure CA but never verifies the PKCS#7 signature itself. An attacker can embed a legitimate Azure certificate alongside arbitrary content e.g. `{"vmId":"<target>"}` and the forged `vmId` will be accepted returning the victim workspace agent's session token. No authentication is required. The attacker only needs to know a target VM's `vmId` which is a `UUIDv4`. That's a practical limitation which would typically require prior access to be exploited. Versions 2.24.5, 2.29.13, 2.30.8, 2.31.12, 2.32.2, and 2.33.3 patch the issue. As a workaround, reconfigure any Azure templates to use token authentication rather than `azure-instance-identity`.

Versions prior tp 2.24.5, 2.29.13, 2.30.8, 2.31.12, 2.32.2, and 2.33.3 are vulnerable to unauthenticated semi-blind Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) via the Azure instance identity endpoint (`POST /api/v2/workspaceagents/azure-instance-identity`). An external attacker can force the Coder server to issue HTTP GET requests to arbitrary internal or external hosts by submitting a crafted PKCS#7 signature. The server does not return the target's response body, but error messages in the API response reveal whether the target is reachable and what type of failure occurred. Versions 2.24.5, 2.29.13, 2.30.8, 2.31.12, 2.32.2, and 2.33.3 patch the issue. Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform. Prior to versions 2.29.7 and 2.30.2, the `dotfiles` registry module passed unsanitized user input to shell commands, allowing arbitrary code execution inside a provisioned workspace. Any user who supplied a crafted `dotfiles_uri` value (for example, one containing shell command substitution such as `$(...)`) could achieve command execution in their own workspace. The Create Workspace page's `mode=auto` deep links amplified this into a one-click attack: an attacker could craft a URL that prefilled `param.dotfiles_uri` and silently provisioned a workspace with the attacker-controlled value, with no explicit user confirmation. In versions 2.29.7 and 2.30.2, input validation was added to the dotfiles module to reject URIs and usernames containing special characters, and the unsafe `eval`/`sh -c` usage was removed. This eliminated the command injection at its source.

Practical impact is limited to already-issued API keys of suspended users until those keys are deleted. Versions 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2 patch the issue. mise manages dev tools like node, python, cmake, and terraform. Prior to 2026.6.4, mise's trust feature gates config files (mise.toml, .tool-versions) through trust_check, but task-include files are loaded on a path that never reaches it. When a directory has a task-include dir (mise-tasks/, .mise/tasks/, …) but no config file, mise falls back to the default includes and renders each task's tera fields — and that tera environment has exec() registered. A {{ exec(command='…') }} in any rendered field runs arbitrary commands the moment the tasks are merely listed. There's no config file to gate on, so no trust prompt ever appears. Read-only commands trigger it: mise tasks, mise task ls, mise run, mise tasks --usage (the query shell completion runs on Tab). The victim only has to cd into a cloned repo and list or tab-complete a task. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.6.4.

mise manages dev tools like node, python, cmake, and terraform. Prior to 2026.6.1, the mise HTTP backend builds its install symlink destination from the raw resolved version string for non-latest versions. Normal tool install paths use the sanitized version pathname, but the HTTP backend's symlink path uses the raw value. On Unix-like systems, if that version is an absolute path, PathBuf::join discards the intended mise installs root. A repository-controlled .tool-versions file can therefore make mise install create a symlink outside the mise install tree. With bin_path, the same issue can place an executable symlink under an attacker-selected absolute prefix, such as a developer-tool prefix that is later added to PATH. This vulnerability is fixed in 2026.6.1.

The Terraform Provider for Linode versions prior to v3.9.0 logged sensitive information including some passwords, StackScript content, and object storage data in debug logs without redaction. Provider debug logging is not enabled by default. This issue is exposed when debug/provider logs are explicitly enabled (for example in local troubleshooting, CI/CD jobs, or centralized log collection). If enabled, sensitive values may be written to logs and then retained, shared, or exported beyond the original execution environment. An authenticated user with access to provider debug logs (through log aggregation systems, CI/CD pipelines, or debug output) would thus be able to extract these sensitive credentials. Versions 3.9.0 and later sanitize debug logs by logging only non-sensitive metadata such as labels, regions, and resource IDs while redacting credentials, tokens, keys, scripts, and other sensitive content. Some other mitigations and workarounds are available.
