  • Oct 13, 2026Click to Chat for WhatsApp: Arbitrary Shortcode ExecutionCVE-2026-92097 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.1

The Click to Chat for WhatsApp plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary Shortcode Execution in versions up to, and including, 4.44 This is due to the greetings_dialog() function building the {url} template placeholder from a sanitize_text_field()-filtered $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] on archive pages and then passing the substituted greeting content to do_shortcode() in the greetings-1 and greetings-2 templates, without stripping shortcode delimiters. Because wp_kses() runs against main_content BEFORE the {url} substitution, the attacker-controlled URL bytes reach do_shortcode() unfiltered. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary shortcodes registered by WordPress core, the active theme, or any other plugin (e.

  • Sep 25, 2026OpenClaw (npm package openclaw) versions >= 2026.5.2 and < 2026.8.1 contain an incorrect authorization vulnerability in WhatsApp group handling.CVE-2026-100556 · Other software · OpenClaw · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.3

OpenClaw (npm package openclaw) versions >= 2026.5.2 and < 2026.8.1 contain an incorrect authorization vulnerability in WhatsApp group handling. A group sender who is admitted for ordinary messages but denied by commands.allowFrom or owner command authorization can issue the /new <model> command to reset the shared group session and persist a provider and model override. This allows a command-denied group member to select a provider and model already permitted by the operator for subsequent turns in the shared group session, potentially changing provider routing, cost, data flow, or availability. It does not allow adding a new provider or host command execution. The issue is fixed in version 2026.8.1.

@openclaw/whatsapp (npm) before 2026.8.1 exposes the WhatsApp login tool through the generic channel-tool path without preserving the originating sender's owner status, so the owner-only tool boundary is not enforced. An admitted non-owner sender able to steer the tool can request a forced login and receive a new QR code for a configured account, disconnecting the Gateway's WhatsApp account and causing loss of availability; full account relinking additionally requires the attacker to scan the returned QR code with another phone. The issue affects the owner-only tool boundary rather than WhatsApp transport authentication. Fixed in 2026.8.1.

  • Sep 24, 2026OpenWA is a free, open source, self-hosted WhatsApp API gateway.CVE-2026-91161 · Other software · rmyndharis · reported by GitHubMedium 6.4

OpenWA is a free, open source, self-hosted WhatsApp API gateway. Prior to 0.23.5, the GET /api/sessions/{sessionId}/groups/{groupId}/invite-code endpoint and the GroupGetInviteCode MCP tool have no OPERATOR role requirement, allowing a valid VIEWER key scoped to a session to retrieve an active group invite code. The invite code is a transferable WhatsApp bearer capability, so an external account can join a group administered by the session without an OpenWA credential, gain read and post access to the group, and retain membership after the VIEWER key is revoked. Affected deployments are those that issue VIEWER keys to parties who should not be able to add accounts to administered groups; OPERATOR and ADMIN access is intended. This issue is fixed in version 0.23.5.

  • Sep 24, 2026OpenWA is a free, open source, self-hosted WhatsApp API gateway.CVE-2026-91160 · Other software · rmyndharis · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

OpenWA is a free, open source, self-hosted WhatsApp API gateway. Prior to 0.23.5, the /events WebSocket gateway delivers the session.qr event to a VIEWER API key that subscribes by event name or through either wildcard subscription form, even though GET /api/sessions/{sessionId}/qr requires the OPERATOR role. When an allowed session is waiting to be paired, the exposed QR lets the key holder link an external device to the WhatsApp account and then read and send messages outside OpenWA and its audit trail. Keys restricted through allowedSessions remain limited to those sessions, and deployments that issue only OPERATOR or ADMIN keys are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 0.23.5.

WACRM is a self-hostable CRM template for WhatsApp. In version 0.7.0 and earlier, the profiles_update row-level security policy in supabase/migrations/017_account_sharing.sql permits authenticated users to modify their own account_role and account_id, allowing a viewer to self-promote or move into another tenant and then access or modify tenant resources. Separately, match_ai_knowledge_fts and match_ai_knowledge_semantic in supabase/migrations/030_ai_knowledge.sql run as SECURITY DEFINER, accept a caller-controlled p_account_id, and omit an is_account_member check, allowing an authenticated non-member to read another tenant's knowledge-base chunks. • Sep 18, 2026WACRM is a self-hostable CRM template for WhatsApp.CVE-2026-77239 · Other software · ArnasDon · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1

WACRM is a self-hostable CRM template for WhatsApp. In version 0.7.0 and earlier, WACRM flow and automation write routes authenticate account viewers but do not enforce the agent role before using a service-role database client that bypasses row-level security. In src/app/api/flows/[id]/route.ts, src/app/api/flows/[id]/activate/route.ts, and src/app/api/flows/route.ts, a viewer can create, edit, activate, or delete flows because membership-only checks are followed by service-role writes. In src/app/api/automations/route.ts and src/app/api/automations/engine/route.ts, a viewer can create active automations and trigger outbound WhatsApp actions without the role required by the underlying write policies. This can permit unauthorized workflow changes, destructive flow deletion, and outbound actions from a role intended to be read-only. This vulnerability is fixed with commit 03e851bea56dcf6bb21ff1b80ba531372bf3269f.

Xinference (affected commit 4a94832, v3.x) contains an unauthenticated arbitrary-path file read vulnerability in the POST /v1/models/llm/auto-register endpoint, which accepts a caller-supplied model_path parameter without authentication or path confinement. The endpoint reads and parses config.json, tokenizer_config.json, and chat_template.jinja files at the supplied path and reflects the parsed content back to the caller, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to probe the server filesystem and extract content of files with those names in any directory.

  • Aug 24, 2026Xinference loads models with Hugging Face remote code execution unconditionally enabled, and before version 2.12.0 exposes no setting to disable it.CVE-2026-76841 · Other software · xorbitsai · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7

Xinference loads models with Hugging Face remote code execution unconditionally enabled, and before version 2.12.0 exposes no setting to disable it. Six loader call sites pass trust_remote_code=True as a literal or as an unconditional default: RerankModel._get_tokenizer in xinference/model/rerank/core.py, SentenceTransformerRerankModel.load in xinference/model/rerank/sentence_transformers/core.py, SentenceTransformerEmbeddingModel.load in xinference/model/embedding/sentence_transformers/core.py, FlagEmbeddingModel.load in xinference/model/embedding/flag/core.py, and two sites in xinference/model/llm/transformers/core.py where PytorchModel._sanitize_model_config and PytorchModel._get_components default the value to True. Because a caller with model launch access can register a model whose type is unknown and supply an arbitrary model path, the server reaches _auto_detect_type and then AutoTokenizer.from_pretrained, which imports and executes Python declared by the model directory's own tokenizer_config.json auto_map, running attacker-supplied code with the privileges of the worker process. Version 2.12.0 gates every site behind allow_trust_remote_code and the XINFERENCE_TRUST_REMOTE

In 2.5.0 and earlier, Xinference passes attacker-influenced Llama3 tool-call output to eval() in xinference/model/llm/tool_parsers/llama3_tool_parser.py and xinference/model/llm/utils.py. Requests to /v1/chat/completions with a tools field flow through xinference/api/restful_api.py, xinference/model/llm/transformers/core.py, handle_chat_result_non_streaming(), and _post_process_completion() before extract_tool_calls() or _eval_llama3_chat_arguments() evaluates the model-generated Python expression.   • Aug 4, 2026@langchain/langgraph-checkpoint-mongodb provides a LangGraph.js CheckpointSaver implementation that uses MongoDB for storage.CVE-2026-48121 · Other software · langchain-ai · reported by GitHubMedium 6.7

@langchain/langgraph-checkpoint-mongodb provides a LangGraph.js CheckpointSaver implementation that uses MongoDB for storage. Versions 1.3.0 and below are vulnerable to NoSQL injection: checkpoint identifiers (thread_id, checkpoint_ns, checkpoint_id) from config.configurable are passed into MongoDB find() queries in MongoDBSaver.getTuple() without type enforcement. If an attacker supplies an object payload (such as MongoDB operators $gt or $ne) instead of a string, it can be interpreted as a query operator, bypassing thread scoping and leaking checkpoints, including pending writes, across tenants. Applications are at risk if they forward untrusted input into config.configurable without coercing it to strings or validating it against a schema, particularly in multi-tenant or user-isolated setups. Apps that only use server-issued, string-typed identifiers with schema validation rejecting non-string fields are not affected. This issue has been fixed in version 1.3.1.

WhatsApp MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for WhatsApp, enabling Claude to read and send WhatsApp messages. Prior to version 0.2.1, the `whatsapp-bridge` HTTP API listens on `127.0.0.1:8080` without authentication and without Host header validation, and the `/api/send` endpoint accepts an absolute `media_path` parameter without confining it to a safe directory. Combined, these issues allow any local process running as the same user as the bridge to send WhatsApp messages from the paired account without authorization; the same caller to read arbitrary files readable by the user (e.g. SSH private keys, browser session data, source code, dotfiles) and exfiltrate them as WhatsApp document attachments; and/or a remote attacker to trigger the same operations via DNS rebinding from a webpage the user visits, since no Host header validation is performed. In MCP environments, "local caller" extends beyond processes the user explicitly launched — sibling MCP servers, IDE extensions, and tool-triggered flows running in the user's session can act as the effective caller. • Jun 16, 2026LangGraph SQLite Checkpoint is an implementation of LangGraph CheckpointSaver that uses SQLite DB (both sync and async, via aiosqlite).CVE-2026-48775 · Other software · langchain-ai · reported by GitHubMedium 6.8

LangGraph SQLite Checkpoint is an implementation of LangGraph CheckpointSaver that uses SQLite DB (both sync and async, via aiosqlite). In versions 4.1.0 and prior, the JsonPlusSerializer can reconstruct Python objects from JSON checkpoint payloads. Under conditions where someone could modify checkpoint bytes at rest in the backing store, the deserialization path could reconstruct objects beyond what the application expects, which could in turn result in code execution at checkpoint load time. This is a defense-in-depth issue. The affected behavior is reachable only when checkpoint bytes at rest in the backing store can be modified by an unauthorized party. In most deployments that prerequisite already implies a serious incident; the additional concern is turning "checkpoint-store write access" into code execution in the application runtime. This issue has been fixed in version 4.1.1.

ProjectsAndPrograms school-management-system uses predictable credentials by generating student's and teacher's passwords solely from the user’s date of birth (e.g., 12072000 for 12 July 2000). The application does not require or prompt users to change the password upon first login. This behavior allows attackers to easily guess or derive valid credentials, leading to unauthorized account access. The maintainers were notified early about this vulnerability but did not provide details regarding affected versions. The version corresponding to commit 6b6fae5 was tested and confirmed vulnerable; other versions were not tested and may also be affected.

  • Jun 3, 2026ProjectsAndPrograms school-management-system is vulnerable to Stored Cross‑Site Scripting (XSS) in multiple attributes of students and teachers objects.CVE-2026-47324 · Other software · ProjectsAndPrograms · reported by cvd@cert.plMedium 5.1

ProjectsAndPrograms school-management-system is vulnerable to Stored Cross‑Site Scripting (XSS) in multiple attributes of students and teachers objects. An authorized attacker (e.g., a teacher or administrator) can inject malicious JavaScript that is subsequently executed in other users’ browsers. Critically, when chained with CVE‑2025‑11661, which allows unauthenticated access to backend endpoints, this vulnerability can be exploited by a remote attacker without privileges to inject and execute arbitrary JavaScript. The maintainers were notified early about this vulnerability but did not provide details regarding affected versions. The version corresponding to commit 6b6fae5 was tested and confirmed vulnerable; other versions were not tested and may also be affected.

Spatie Laravel Media Library before version 11.23.0 contains a file upload restriction bypass in FileAdder::defaultSanitizer(). The sanitizer checks only the final filename suffix, allowing double-extension filenames such as shell.php.jpg to bypass the blocklist, with pathinfo() preserving inner .php stems in saved filenames. The blocklist also omits executable extensions including .php6, .shtml, and .htaccess. The double-extension bypass requires a legacy Apache AddHandler configuration to achieve PHP execution; the incomplete blocklist bypass does not.

LangGraph SQLite Checkpoint is an implementation of LangGraph CheckpointSaver that uses SQLite DB (both sync and async, via aiosqlite). Versions 3.0.0 and below are vulnerable to SQL injection through the checkpoint implementation. Checkpoint allows attackers to manipulate SQL queries through metadata filter keys, affecting applications that accept untrusted metadata filter keys (not just filter values) in checkpoint search operations. The _metadata_predicate() function constructs SQL queries by interpolating filter keys directly into f-strings without validation. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.1.
