  • Sep 28, 2026ConvertPlus: Deserialization of Untrusted DataCVE-2026-87741 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The ConvertPlus plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Deserialization of Untrusted Data in all versions up to, and including, 3.6.3 via the style parameter of the cp_display_preview_modal AJAX action. The vulnerability exists because the action's nonce guard is gated behind an isset() check and fails open when the cp_admin_page_nonce parameter is omitted entirely, no capability check is performed on the callback, and sanitize_text_field() — applied to the $style value before it is concatenated directly into a shortcode string evaluated by do_shortcode() — does not strip shortcode delimiters, allowing an attacker to inject a second, fully attacker-controlled [smile_modal] invocation that causes smile_modal_popup() to pass attacker-supplied base64-decoded bytes to maybe_unserialize() with no allowed_classes restriction. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to inject a PHP object. No known POP chain is present in the vulnerable software, which means this vulnerability has no impact unless another plugin or theme containing a POP chain is installed on the site. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed o

  • Jun 11, 2026UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration: Authentication BypassCVE-2026-10795 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1

The UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass in all versions up to, and including, 1.26.4 via the UpdraftPlus_Remote_Communications_V2::wp_loaded function. This is due to insufficient validation of the remote communications message format, where signature verification can be bypassed and unchecked decryption return values collapse to a predictable all-zero encryption key. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to forge arbitrary RPC commands and run them as the connected administrator, such as uploading and activating a malicious plugin, which ultimately leads to remote code execution.

  • Feb 12, 2025ConvertPlus: Unauthorized modification of data that can lead to a denial of serviceCVE-2024-13800 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1

The ConvertPlus plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data that can lead to a denial of service due to a missing capability check on the 'cp_dismiss_notice' AJAX endpoint in all versions up to, and including, 3.5.30. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to update option values to '1' on the WordPress site. This can be leveraged to update an option that would create an error on the site and deny service to legitimate users or be used to set some values to true such as registration.

The UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the showdata and initiate_restore parameters in all versions up to, and including, 1.24.12 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick an admin user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.

  • Jan 4, 2025UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration: PHP Object InjectionCVE-2024-10957 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to PHP Object Injection in all versions from 1.23.8 to 1.24.11 via deserialization of untrusted input in the 'recursive_unserialized_replace' function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject a PHP Object. No known POP chain is present in the vulnerable software, which means this vulnerability has no impact unless another plugin or theme containing a POP chain is installed on the site. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it may allow the attacker to perform actions like delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code depending on the POP chain present. An administrator must perform a search and replace action to trigger the exploit.

This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject a PHP Object. No POP chain is present in the vulnerable plugin. • Nov 7, 2023UpdraftPlus: WordPress Backup & Migration: Cross-Site Request ForgeryCVE-2023-5982 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.4

The UpdraftPlus: WordPress Backup & Migration Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 1.23.10. This is due to a lack of nonce validation and insufficient validation of the instance_id on the 'updraftmethod-googledrive-auth' action used to update Google Drive remote storage location. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to modify the Google Drive location that backups are sent to via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link. This can make it possible for attackers to receive backups for a site which may contain sensitive information.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
