Fleet before 4.87.0 does not protect the two endpoints that serve in-house iOS application packages and manifests (enterprise tier only) with the intended random, time-limited URL token. Because Apple's InstallEnterpriseApplication MDM command requires these URLs to be reachable without a Fleet session, they cannot rely on session-based authentication, and the missing token allows an unauthenticated attacker with network access to the Fleet server to download in-house IPA binaries and their metadata (bundle identifier, version, and name) by guessing sequential title identifiers. The impact is limited to read-only disclosure; there is no privilege escalation or write access, and the free tier is unaffected (it returns fleet.ErrMissingLicense).

Sep 27, 2026Fleet before 4.89.0 contains an SQL injection vulnerability in the activity list endpoints (GET /api/v1/fleet/activities and GET /api/v1/fleet/hosts/{id}/activiCVE-2026-101046 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by VulnCheckLow 2.3
Fleet before 4.89.0 contains an SQL injection vulnerability in the activity list endpoints (GET /api/v1/fleet/activities and GET /api/v1/fleet/hosts/{id}/activities). The deprecated cursor-pagination helper appendListOptionsWithCursorToSQL interpolated the caller-supplied sort/order key into the SQL ORDER BY clause without an allowlist, so an authenticated user with read access to Activity could order results by arbitrary columns. The impact is read-only and bounded to columns on the activity_past table that are not otherwise returned in these responses (e.g. details), allowing their values to be inferred through the resulting sort order; there is no write access, privilege escalation, or reachability of node_key or other host-join columns through these endpoints. Fixed in 4.89.0, which removes the deprecated helper and passes the sort column through SanitizeColumn.

Sep 27, 2026Fleet-maintained app install and uninstall scripts for macOS are generated from Homebrew cask metadata.CVE-2026-101045 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.9
Fleet-maintained app install and uninstall scripts for macOS are generated from Homebrew cask metadata. In manifests generated before 2026-08-19, the script generator escaped this metadata at some interpolation sites but not all of them, so cask metadata containing shell metacharacters (for example $(...) command substitution) could be carried into scripts that execute as root on managed macOS hosts. An attacker who could land crafted metadata in an upstream Homebrew cask — without needing any Fleet credentials — could achieve arbitrary command execution as root on managed macOS hosts that install or uninstall the affected Fleet-maintained app; exploitation required the crafted metadata to pass both upstream Homebrew cask review and Fleet's review of the automated ingestion pull request. The fix (fleetdm/fleet#51324) landed in Fleet's ingestion pipeline on 2026-08-19 so that all manifests generated on or after that date escape cask metadata at every interpolation site; because manifests are generated centrally and distributed as pre-built content, remediation applied to all deployments with no customer action, and the code fix is included in Fleet v4.92.0.

Aug 26, 2026Fleet is an open-source device management platform built on osquery.CVE-2026-54245 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubHigh 7.6
Fleet is an open-source device management platform built on osquery. In versions prior to 4.86.2, the Okta conditional access integration in Fleet Premium is vulnerable to SQL injection through a host-supplied value that is used in a database query without proper parameterization, allowing an attacker who controls a single enrolled host to read or modify arbitrary data in the Fleet database. The value is reported by the host's own agent and stored verbatim, then used on an unauthenticated request path that supports the conditional access integration, so any party controlling one enrolled host, the lowest-privilege position in the product, can influence the query. By disclosing arbitrary database contents an attacker can extract stored session tokens and replay them to act as a global administrator, and on a managed fleet that administrator access enables running scripts on enrolled hosts, leading to remote code execution. The issue requires Fleet Premium with the Okta conditional access integration enabled and does not affect instances where it is not configured. This issue is fixed in version 4.86.2.

Aug 26, 2026Fleet is an open-source device management platform built on osquery.CVE-2026-46371 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
Fleet is an open-source device management platform built on osquery. In versions up to and including 4.84.1, the Apple MDM commands listing endpoint (GET /api/v1/fleet/mdm/apple/commands) allowed an authenticated user with the lowest-privilege Observer role to extract sensitive values from joined database tables, including host enrollment secrets and Apple Push Notification Service tokens, through a sort-order oracle. The endpoint accepted a user-supplied order_key parameter that was not validated against a column allowlist, and because the underlying query joins the hosts and nano_enrollments tables, an attacker could set the sort column to a sensitive field and combine it with the cursor-based after parameter to binary-search the value one character at a time, with the presence or absence of results revealing each character even though the value never appeared in the response. With extracted node_key or orbit_node_key values an attacker could impersonate enrolled hosts to Fleet's osquery and Orbit endpoints, submit fabricated host data, and retrieve pending scripts and commands. This issue is fixed in version 4.84.2.

Aug 26, 2026Fleet is an open-source device management platform built on osquery.CVE-2026-46370 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
Fleet is an open-source device management platform built on osquery. In versions up to and including 4.84.1, the labels host-listing endpoint (GET /api/v1/fleet/labels/{id}/hosts) allowed an authenticated user with the lowest-privilege Observer role to extract host enrollment secrets through a sort-order oracle. The endpoint accepted a user-supplied order_key parameter that was not validated against a column allowlist, so an attacker with Global or Team Observer access could set the sort column to a sensitive field such as h.node_key and combine it with the cursor-based after parameter to binary-search the value one character at a time; the targeted value never appeared in the response, but the presence or absence of results revealed each character. Because node_key and orbit_node_key are the long-lived shared secrets that osquery and Orbit agents use to authenticate to the Fleet server, an attacker who reconstructed them could impersonate enrolled hosts, submit fabricated query results and inventory, retrieve pending scripts and MDM commands, and poison compliance and policy results across the deployment. This issue is fixed in version 4.84.2.

Aug 26, 2026Fleet is an open-source device management platform built on osquery.CVE-2026-48786 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
Fleet is an open-source device management platform built on osquery. In versions prior to 4.87.0, the target search endpoint (POST /api/latest/fleet/targets) returned unmasked team enroll secrets and full team configuration, including credential-bearing agent options, to low-privilege observer-class users. Other team-facing endpoints mask these fields for observers, but the target search endpoint did not apply the same sanitization, so an authenticated user with the Observer, Observer+, or Technician role, whether global or team-scoped, could retrieve the secrets and agent options by performing a target search against an observer-runnable query. With a leaked team enroll secret an attacker could enroll unauthorized hosts into the affected team, and if the team's agent options contained credentials such as AWS secret access keys or proxy passwords, those values were disclosed as well. This issue is fixed in version 4.87.0.

Aug 26, 2026Fleet is an open-source device management platform built on osquery.CVE-2026-41262 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3
Fleet is an open-source device management platform built on osquery. In versions prior to 4.85.0, the global policy read endpoint (GET /api/latest/fleet/policies/{policy_id}) fails to verify team ownership of the requested policy, allowing an authenticated user with observer-level access on any single team to read the full details of policies belonging to any other team and bypass Fleet's team isolation model. The handler authorizes the request against an empty policy object whose TeamID is nil, which an authorization rule permits for any user holding a role on any team, and then fetches the policy by ID with no team filter and returns it without any post-fetch scope check. Because policy IDs are sequential integers, an attacker can enumerate them to read other teams' policy SQL queries, host pass and fail counts, and associated software-installer and script metadata, exposing security-monitoring strategies and compliance posture across team boundaries. This issue is fixed in version 4.85.0.

May 14, 2026Fleet is open source device management software.CVE-2026-46356 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9
Fleet is open source device management software. Prior to version 4.80.1, a vulnerability in Fleet's IP extraction logic allows unauthenticated attackers to bypass API rate limiting by spoofing client IP headers. This may allow brute-force login attempts or other abuse against Fleet instances exposed to the public internet. Fleet extracted client IP addresses from request headers (`True-Client-IP`, `X-Real-IP`, `X-Forwarded-For`) without validating that those headers originate from a trusted proxy. The extracted IP is used as the key for rate limiting and IP ban decisions. As a result, an attacker could rotate the value of these headers on each request, causing Fleet to treat each attempt as coming from a different client. This effectively bypasses per-IP rate limits on sensitive endpoints such as the login API, enabling unrestricted brute-force or credential stuffing attacks. This issue primarily affects Fleet instances that are directly exposed to the internet without a reverse proxy that overwrites forwarded-IP headers. Instances behind a properly configured proxy or WAF are less affected. Version 4.80.1 contains a patch. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, administrators s

May 14, 2026Fleet is open source device management software.CVE-2026-26191 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubMedium 6
Fleet is open source device management software. Prior to version 4.81.0, a vulnerability in Fleet's software installer pipeline could allow a crafted software package to execute arbitrary commands as root (macOS/Linux) or SYSTEM (Windows) on managed endpoints when an uninstall is triggered. When a software package (.pkg, .deb, .rpm, .exe, or .msi) is uploaded to Fleet, metadata is extracted from the package binary and used to generate uninstall scripts. In affected versions, this metadata is not properly sanitized before being included in the generated scripts. A specially crafted package containing malicious values in its metadata fields could result in unintended command execution when the uninstall script runs on managed endpoints. Version 4.81.0 contains a patch. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, administrators should avoid uploading software packages obtained from untrusted or unverified sources. Additionally, administrators can manually inspect and edit auto-generated uninstall scripts before deployment.

May 14, 2026Fleet is open source device management software.CVE-2026-26062 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7
Fleet is open source device management software. Prior to version 4.81.0, Fleet contained a denial-of-service (DoS) issue in the gRPC Launcher `PublishLogs` endpoint. In affected versions, certain unexpected input values were not handled gracefully, which could cause the Fleet server process to terminate while processing an authenticated request from an enrolled Launcher host. An authenticated attacker with access to any enrolled Launcher node key could cause an immediate and complete denial of service by sending a single gRPC request to the `PublishLogs` endpoint. This vulnerability impacts availability only. There is no exposure of sensitive data, no authentication bypass, no privilege escalation, and no integrity impact. Version 4.81.0 contains a patch. If upgrading immediately is not possible, the following mitigations can reduce exposure. Restrict network access to the Fleet gRPC endpoint where feasible (for example, limiting inbound access to known host IP ranges); deploy Fleet behind infrastructure that terminates or filters gRPC traffic if Launcher log ingestion is not required; and/or monitor for repeated Fleet process crashes or unexpected restarts indicating potential e

May 14, 2026Fleet is open source device management software.CVE-2026-24899 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2
Fleet is open source device management software. Prior to version 4.82.0, a vulnerability in Fleet's Windows MDM enrollment flow allows authentication tokens from any Azure AD tenant to be accepted. Because Fleet validates JWT signatures using Microsoft's multi-tenant JWKS endpoint but does not enforce the `aud` (audience) or `iss` (issuer) claims, any Microsoft-signed Azure AD access token containing the expected scopes can be used to authenticate to Fleet's MDM endpoints. If Windows MDM is enabled, an attacker with access to any Azure AD tenant can obtain a valid Microsoft-signed token and use it to enroll unauthorized devices and interact with Fleet's MDM management APIs. During device management, Fleet may expose sensitive enrollment secrets embedded in MDM command payloads, enabling further unauthorized access. Version 4.82.0 contains a patch. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, affected Fleet users should temporarily disable Windows MDM.

May 14, 2026Fleet is open source device management software.CVE-2026-24000 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9
Fleet is open source device management software. Prior to version 4.80.1, Fleet trusted client-supplied IP address headers when determining the source IP for incoming requests. This allowed authenticated and unauthenticated clients to spoof their apparent IP address and bypass per-IP rate limiting controls. Fleet determines a client’s public IP address using HTTP headers such as X-Forwarded-For, X-Real-IP, and/or True-Client-IP. These headers were trusted without validation. An attacker could supply arbitrary values in these headers, causing Fleet to treat each request as originating from a different IP address. This could allow an attacker to bypass per-IP rate limits and increase the effectiveness of brute-force or password-spraying attempts against authentication endpoints. This issue does not allow authentication bypass, privilege escalation, data exposure, or remote code execution on its own. Version 4.80.1 contains a patch. As a workaround, run Fleet behind a trusted reverse proxy or load balancer that overwrites client IP headers.

May 14, 2026Fleet is open source device management software.CVE-2026-23998 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2
Fleet is open source device management software. Prior to version 4.81.0, a vulnerability in Fleet’s Windows MDM management endpoint could allow requests to be processed without proper client certificate validation. In certain circumstances, this could allow an attacker to impersonate an enrolled Windows device and retrieve sensitive configuration data. Fleet’s Windows MDM management endpoint relies on mutual TLS (mTLS) client certificates to authenticate enrolled devices. In affected versions, requests that did not present a client certificate could be incorrectly treated as trusted. As a result, an attacker with prior knowledge of a valid enrolled device identifier could potentially impersonate that device and receive configuration payloads intended for it. These payloads may contain sensitive information such as Wi-Fi or VPN configuration data, certificates, or other secrets delivered through MDM profiles. This issue does not allow enrollment of new devices, administrative access to Fleet, or compromise of the Fleet control plane. Impact is limited to the targeted Windows device. Version 4.81.0 contains a patch. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, affected Fleet users shoul

Fleet is open source device management software. In versions prior to 4.80.1, a vulnerability in Fleet’s configuration API could expose Google Calendar service account credentials to authenticated users with low-privilege roles. This may allow unauthorized access to Google Calendar resources associated with the service account. Fleet returns configuration data through an API endpoint that is accessible to authenticated users, including those with the lowest-privilege “Observer” role. In affected versions, Google Calendar service account credentials were not properly obfuscated before being returned. As a result, a low-privilege user could retrieve the service account’s private key material. Depending on how the Google Calendar integration is configured, this could allow unauthorized access to calendar data or other Google Workspace resources associated with the service account. This issue does not allow escalation of privileges within Fleet or access to device management functionality. Version 4.80.1 patches the issue. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, administrators should remove the Google Calendar integration from Fleet and rotate the affected Google service account crede

Feb 25, 2026Fleet is open source device management software.CVE-2026-25963 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubLow 1.2
Fleet is open source device management software. In versions prior to 4.80.1, a broken authorization check in Fleet’s certificate template deletion API could allow a team administrator to delete certificate templates belonging to other teams within the same Fleet instance. Fleet supports certificate templates that are scoped to individual teams. In affected versions, the batch deletion endpoint validated authorization using a user-supplied team identifier but did not verify that the certificate template IDs being deleted actually belonged to that team. As a result, a team administrator could delete certificate templates associated with other teams, potentially disrupting certificate-based workflows such as device enrollment, Wi-Fi authentication, VPN access, or other certificate-dependent configurations for the affected teams. This issue does not allow privilege escalation, access to sensitive data, or compromise of Fleet’s control plane. Impact is limited to integrity and availability of certificate templates across teams. Version 4.80.1 patches the issue. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, administrators should restrict access to certificate template management to trusted u

Feb 25, 2026Fleet is open source device management software.CVE-2026-24004 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubLow 1.7
Fleet is open source device management software. In versions prior to 4.80.1, a vulnerability in Fleet’s Android MDM Pub/Sub handling could allow unauthenticated requests to trigger device unenrollment events. This may result in unauthorized removal of individual Android devices from Fleet management. If Android MDM is enabled, an attacker could send a crafted request to the Android Pub/Sub endpoint to unenroll a targeted Android device from Fleet without authentication. This issue does not grant access to Fleet, allow execution of commands, or provide visibility into device data. Impact is limited to disruption of Android device management for the affected device. Version 4.80.1 fixes the issue. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, affected Fleet users should temporarily disable Android MDM.

Feb 25, 2026Fleet is open source device management software.CVE-2026-23999 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubLow 0.6
Fleet is open source device management software. In versions prior to 4.80.1, Fleet generated device lock and wipe PINs using a predictable algorithm based solely on the current Unix timestamp. Because no secret key or additional entropy was used, the resulting PIN could potentially be derived if the approximate time the device was locked is known. Fleet’s device lock and wipe commands generate a 6-digit PIN that is displayed to administrators for unlocking a device. In affected versions, this PIN was deterministically derived from the current timestamp. An attacker with physical possession of a locked device and knowledge of the approximate time the lock command was issued could theoretically predict the correct PIN within a limited search window. However, successful exploitation is constrained by multiple factors: Physical access to the device is required, the approximate lock time must be known, the operating system enforces rate limiting on PIN entry attempts, attempts would need to be spread over, and device wipe operations would typically complete before sufficient attempts could be made. As a result, this issue does not allow remote exploitation, fleet-wide compromise, or by

Feb 25, 2026Fleet is open source device management software.CVE-2026-26186 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubMedium 5.1
Fleet is open source device management software. A SQL injection vulnerability in versions prior to 4.80.1 allowed authenticated users to inject arbitrary SQL expressions via the `order_key` query parameter. Due to unsafe use of `goqu.I()` when constructing the `ORDER BY` clause, specially crafted input could escape identifier quoting and be interpreted as executable SQL. An authenticated attacker with access to the affected endpoint could inject SQL expressions into the underlying MySQL query. Although the injection occurs in an `ORDER BY` context, it is sufficient to enable blind SQL injection techniques that can disclose database information through conditional expressions that affect result ordering. Crafted expressions may also cause excessive computation or query failures, potentially leading to degraded performance or denial of service. No direct evidence of reliable data modification or stacked query execution was demonstrated. Version 4.80.1 fixes the issue. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, users should restrict access to the affected endpoint to trusted roles only and ensure that any user-supplied sort or column parameters are strictly allow-listed at the applicat

Jan 21, 2026Fleet is open source device management software.CVE-2026-23518 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
Fleet is open source device management software. In versions prior to 4.78.3, 4.77.1, 4.76.2, 4.75.2, and 4.53.3, a vulnerability in Fleet's Windows MDM enrollment flow could allow an attacker to submit forged authentication tokens that are not properly validated. Because JWT signatures were not verified, Fleet could accept attacker-controlled identity claims, enabling enrollment of unauthorized devices under arbitrary Azure AD user identities. Versions 4.78.3, 4.77.1, 4.76.2, 4.75.2, and 4.53.3 fix the issue. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, affected Fleet users should temporarily disable Windows MDM.

Jan 21, 2026Fleet is open source device management software.CVE-2026-23517 · Other software · fleetdm · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3
Fleet is open source device management software. A broken access control issue in versions prior to 4.78.3, 4.77.1, 4.76.2, 4.75.2, and 4.53.3 allowed authenticated users to access debug and profiling endpoints regardless of role. As a result, low-privilege users could view internal server diagnostics and trigger resource-intensive profiling operations. Fleet’s debug/pprof endpoints are accessible to any authenticated user regardless of role, including the lowest-privilege “Observer” role. This allows low-privilege users to access sensitive server internals, including runtime profiling data and in-memory application state, and to trigger CPU-intensive profiling operations that could lead to denial of service. Versions 4.78.3, 4.77.1, 4.76.2, 4.75.2, and 4.53.3 fix the issue. If an immediate upgrade is not possible, users should put the debug/pprof endpoints behind an IP allowlist as a workaround.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: ptdma: check for null desc before calling pt_cmd_callback Resolves a panic that can occur on AMD systems, typically during host shutdown, after the PTDMA driver had been exercised. The issue was the pt_issue_pending() function is mistakenly assuming that there will be at least one descriptor in the Submitted queue when the function is called. However, it is possible that both the Submitted and Issued queues could be empty, which could result in pt_cmd_callback() being mistakenly called with a NULL pointer. Ref: Bugzilla Bug 216856.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ptdma: pt_core_execute_cmd() should use spinlock The interrupt handler (pt_core_irq_handler()) of the ptdma driver can be called from interrupt context. The code flow in this function can lead down to pt_core_execute_cmd() which will attempt to grab a mutex, which is not appropriate in interrupt context and ultimately leads to a kernel panic. The fix here changes this mutex to a spinlock, which has been verified to resolve the issue.
