  • Oct 30, 2026pgAdmin 4 did not invalidate a user's existing sessions when their password changed, either through the user's own change password dialog or through an administCVE-2026-116251 · Other software · pgadmin.org · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007Low 2.3

pgAdmin 4 did not invalidate a user's existing sessions when their password changed, either through the user's own change password dialog or through an administrator resetting it in User Management. A session established before the change, for example on another device or by someone who had obtained the old password or a session cookie, therefore stayed logged in after the change, which is the step a user or administrator takes precisely to cut such access off. It remained usable until it expired. The fix rotates the user's session identifier (fs_uniquifier) whenever the password is changed, so every other session of that user is logged out. The session that made the change is logged in again and keeps its database connections. Saved server passwords, including those for shared servers, are re-encrypted under the new key; any that cannot be decrypted are cleared and the user is told. If re-encryption fails, the sessions are still revoked and the saved passwords are cleared rather than the change failing. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.19.

  • Oct 30, 2026In server mode pgAdmin 4 resolves a server's password file, SSL certificate, key, CRL and SSH tunnel identity file relative to the user's storage directory, butCVE-2026-116249 · Other software · pgadmin.org · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007High 7.2

In server mode pgAdmin 4 resolves a server's password file, SSL certificate, key, CRL and SSH tunnel identity file relative to the user's storage directory, but get_complete_file_path() only stripped leading slashes before joining the two. A path such as "../<another user>/.pgpass", set through the server dialog, the REST API or a servers.json import, therefore named another user's file, and connecting used that user's saved passwords, client certificate or SSH key. The sslkeylogfile connection parameter was passed to libpq unchanged, so a path outside storage let libpq create or append a file as the account running pgAdmin. make_conninfo() also quoted connection parameter values but not their names, so a crafted parameter name could smuggle additional keyword=value pairs past these checks. The fix requires the resolved path, with symbolic links followed, to stay inside the user's storage directory or the named shared storage directory, confines sslkeylogfile the same way, and accepts only exact libpq keywords as connection parameter names. A refused path or keyword is reported instead of letting libpq fall back to a default. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.19.

  • Oct 30, 2026When a server in pgAdmin 4 had no password file, client certificate or client key configured, or the configured one could not be found, pgAdmin left the parametCVE-2026-116247 · Other software · pgadmin.org · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007High 7.1

When a server in pgAdmin 4 had no password file, client certificate or client key configured, or the configured one could not be found, pgAdmin left the parameter out of the connection and libpq fell back to the defaults of the operating-system account running pgAdmin: ~/.pgpass, ~/.postgresql/postgresql.crt and postgresql.key, or PGPASSFILE, PGSSLCERT and PGSSLKEY. In server mode any user could therefore connect to a server with the service account's saved passwords or client certificate, and supplying only a copy of its public certificate was enough for libpq to pair it with the service account's private key. A pg_service.conf entry, or a maintenance database name read as a connection string by pg_dumpall, could bring the same files back for the utilities. The fix gives each of these parameters a value in server mode, the user's own file or otherwise a path that can never be opened, in the connection string, in the environment of the utilities and in the --dbname connection string that ranks above a service entry. Desktop mode is unchanged. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.19.

  • Oct 30, 2026To pass a server's password to psql and to the utilities pgAdmin 4 runs as background processes, the server manager wrote it into pgAdmin's own process environmCVE-2026-116246 · Other software · pgadmin.org · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007High 7

To pass a server's password to psql and to the utilities pgAdmin 4 runs as background processes, the server manager wrote it into pgAdmin's own process environment: as PGPASSWORD for the PSQL tool, and under a per-process variable for a utility. Nothing removed it afterwards. pgAdmin's environment is shared by every user's requests and copied into every process it starts, so in server mode another user's later PSQL session or utility inherited the password, and libpq used PGPASSWORD for any connection made without a password of its own, letting one user connect with another user's saved password. The fix puts the password only into the environment built for the process that needs it and starts psql with a copy of pgAdmin's environment instead of the environment itself. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.19.

  • Oct 30, 2026libpq looks a connection service up in the service file of the operating-system account running pgAdmin 4, and an entry there can hold a password or name a passCVE-2026-116245 · Other software · pgadmin.org · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007High 7.1

libpq looks a connection service up in the service file of the operating-system account running pgAdmin 4, and an entry there can hold a password or name a password file or client certificate. In server mode any user could set a server's Service, or a "service" connection parameter, to one of those entries and connect with its credentials. A PGPASSWORD or PGSERVICE variable set for that account was likewise used by libpq for every connection without a value of its own and passed on to the utilities, and pg_dumpall read a maintenance database name such as "service=..." as a connection string. The fix adds the SERVER_MODE_ALLOWED_SERVICES setting, empty by default: in server mode only a listed service can be used, the servicefile parameter is refused, and PGPASSWORD and PGSERVICE are removed from pgAdmin's environment at startup. The allowlist is checked again on the final connection string, and the pg_dumpall database name is wrapped as a connection string. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.19.

  • Oct 30, 2026CallBackery versions before 0.62.0 for Perl store user passwords as unsalted HMAC-SHA1 hashes.CVE-2026-13576 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441e

CallBackery versions before 0.62.0 for Perl store user passwords as unsalted HMAC-SHA1 hashes. Passwords are hashed with hmac_sha1_sum() from Mojo::Util with no key, a single fast SHA-1 HMAC. There is no salt, so equal passwords give equal hashes, and no work factor slows down guessing. An attacker who obtains the user table can recover passwords by fast offline guessing.

CallBackery versions before 0.62.0 for Perl send users their own password hash and the admin-only user note via getUserConfig. getUserConfig() returns the caller's whole cbuser row, including the stored password hash and the note field that the user interface shows only to administrators. getTableData() and getAllFieldValues() in the user management plugins also return the note to users without the admin right. A non-administrator can read the notes administrators keep about them, and an attacker who obtains a session token can get that user's password hash and crack it offline.

CallBackery versions before 0.62.0 for Perl encrypt configuration backups with the padded password as the AES key. getCrypt() pads the backup password with "x" characters and cuts it to 32 bytes to form the AES key, with no salt and no key derivation. The first block of a backup holds a 16 hex digit length field, so decrypting one block confirms a password guess at raw AES speed. An attacker who obtains a backup can recover its password by fast offline guessing, and with it every credential the backup holds.

The Password Protected plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the bundled Freemius SDK's purchase-completion handler in all versions up to, and including, 2.8.4 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. Once the site's Freemius opt-in is complete (the normal state after an administrator clicks "Allow & Continue"), the handler processes the 'purchased_plan' request parameter on any wp-admin request from an authenticated user without any capability, nonce, or purchase validation, and stores it in a persistent, site-wide administrative notice. Use of Password Hash With Insufficient Computational Effort in the jose library allows an attacker who obtains a password-encrypted private-key export to recover the private key through an offline password-cracking attack. When jose exports a password-encrypted private key with jose_jwk:to_der/2 (JOSE.JWK.to_der/2), the jose_jwk_der:to_binary/3 function in src/jwk/jose_jwk_der.erl serializes the key as a PKCS#8 EncryptedPrivateKeyInfo using the PBES2 scheme with hardcoded key-derivation parameters: PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 with an iteration count of 2048 and an 8-byte (64-bit) random salt. Neither value can be overridden by the caller. Both values are far below current guidance (OWASP recommends on the order of 600,000 iterations for PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256, and NIST recommends salts of at least 128 bits), so the key-stretching work factor is roughly 300 times lower than intended and the short salt reduces the cost of precomputation across keys. The symmetric encryption (AES-256-CBC with a 16-byte random IV) is not affected; the weakness is entirely in the derivation strength. An attacker who obtains one of these exported blobs (for example from a backup, configuration repository, object st

  • Oct 26, 2026boneIO Black does not limit authentication attempts on its web interface (POST /api/login) or SSH service, and does not enforce password complexity.CVE-2026-77057 · Other software · boneIO · reported by cvd@cert.plLow 2.3

boneIO Black does not limit authentication attempts on its web interface (POST /api/login) or SSH service, and does not enforce password complexity. An unauthenticated remote attacker can make unlimited brute-force login attempts, potentially compromising user accounts and gaining unauthorized access to the device. This issue was fixed in version 1.6.0: web login attempts are rate-limited per source address and per account, panel passwords must be at least 8 characters long, and SSH allows three authentication attempts per connection with a shortened login grace time.

  • Oct 26, 2026boneIO black_debian_images gives the boneio service account excessive privileges, including full passwordless sudo access and membership in the docker group.CVE-2026-77055 · Other software · boneIO · reported by cvd@cert.plCritical 9.3

boneIO black_debian_images gives the boneio service account excessive privileges, including full passwordless sudo access and membership in the docker group. A local attacker who compromises the boneio user can use these privileges to escalate to root. This issue was fixed in version 1.6.0: the image removes the sudoers rule and the docker group membership when it is sealed, and devices already in the field have both removed by migrations shipped with boneio 1.6.0 and applied on first start after the upgrade. Privileged operations now go through helpers that accept only a fixed set of commands, with migrations verified against Ed25519 signatures.

  • Oct 26, 2026boneIO Black stores passwords, including the MQTT broker and web panel passwords, in cleartext.CVE-2026-77054 · Other software · boneIO · reported by cvd@cert.plMedium 6.9

boneIO Black stores passwords, including the MQTT broker and web panel passwords, in cleartext. The GET /api/config endpoint returns the full configuration with sub-services passwords exposed. Any authenticated user can call the endpoint and access the administrative passwords in cleartext form. Critically, due to CVE-2026-77053 (authentication disabled by default), an unauthenticated attacker on the same local network can retrieve all passwords. This issue was fixed in version 1.6.0: web panel passwords are stored as salted scrypt hashes in a file readable only by the service account, and the API and logs no longer return secret values. The MQTT broker password has to stay recoverable because the application presents it to the broker as a client; it is kept in a separate file readable only by the service account and is no longer exposed through the API.

  • Oct 24, 2026Postiz signs its session, invitation and password reset tokens with one shared secret and without any marker of what a token is for.CVE-2026-115933 · Other software · GitroomHQ · reported by 4cdc9741-f887-419a-a2fd-acbbd2729276Critical 9.9

Postiz signs its session, invitation and password reset tokens with one shared secret and without any marker of what a token is for. A route that refreshes the credentials of a browser-extension channel signed data taken from the request itself and stored the result where the requesting user can read it back. A user could therefore obtain a validly signed token containing any claims they choose, which the application accepts as a session, as an organization invitation with a chosen role, as a password reset or as an enterprise provisioning token. A second, narrower route that creates team invitations signs extra fields from the request body in the same way.

  • Oct 21, 2026Roundcube Webmail before 1.6.20 and 1.7.x before 1.7.5 is affected by a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the password plugin.CVE-2026-114718 · Websites & servers · Roundcube · reported by MITREMedium 4.7

Roundcube Webmail before 1.6.20 and 1.7.x before 1.7.5 is affected by a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the password plugin. Error text returned by a password driver was concatenated into the message presented to the user without HTML escaping, so a backend able to influence that text, such as the DirectAdmin API, could inject script into the Roundcube interface. Upstream fixed this in the commit “Fix XSS issue in handling of password driver error responses”, which escapes the driver message before display.

Roundcube Webmail before 1.6.20 and 1.7.x before 1.7.5 is affected by an incorrect authorization vulnerability in the Modoboa driver of the password plugin. The driver took the first entry of the account search result returned by the Modoboa API instead of matching the authenticated user, so a password change could be applied to a different account. • Oct 21, 2026The system fails to invalidate existing access tokens associated with sub-organization users during sensitive account management operations such as password resCVE-2025-0326 · Other software · WSO2 · reported by ed10eef1-636d-4fbe-9993-6890dfa878f8High 7.4

The system fails to invalidate existing access tokens associated with sub-organization users during sensitive account management operations such as password reset, role change, or sub-organization disablement. This oversight allows previously issued tokens to remain active even after the user's access context has been modified or revoked through administrative actions. The identified issue could lead to unauthorized access by a malicious actor, but only when all of the following conditions are met: previously issued access tokens remain active, and these tokens have been exposed to malicious actors.
