  • Oct 14, 2026Gitea's Swift package parser limits each manifest to 128 KiB but does not limit the number of manifests or their aggregate size before reading them into memory.CVE-2026-63021 · Other software · Gitea · reported by 88ee5874-cf24-4952-aea0-31affedb7ff2Medium 6.5

Gitea's Swift package parser limits each manifest to 128 KiB but does not limit the number of manifests or their aggregate size before reading them into memory. An authenticated user with package-publish permission can upload a highly compressed archive containing many manifests, causing allocations far larger than the uploaded archive. This can exhaust memory, terminate the process, or cause request failures.

  • Sep 23, 2026In OpenStack Swift before 2.38.2, the tempurl middleware does not reject the X-Copy-From header on PUT requests.CVE-2026-97149 · Other software · OpenStack · reported by MITREMedium 5.3

In OpenStack Swift before 2.38.2, the tempurl middleware does not reject the X-Copy-From header on PUT requests. A TempURL signature only covers the method, expiry, and path, and thus the list of disallowed headers is the only defense against a signed PUT request changing what the request does. An attacker holding a PUT TempURL for a single object can add an X-Copy-From header naming any object in the same account; the copy middleware copies that object to the destination, and the attacker then reads the victim's data back with a GET TempURL for the destination object. Copies across account boundaries are rejected. Only deployments using the shipped default proxy pipeline (tempurl and copy middleware) with account-level TempURL keys are affected.

  • Sep 23, 2026Wire provides gRPC and protocol buffers for Android, Kotlin, Swift, and Java.CVE-2026-61695 · Other software · square · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

Wire provides gRPC and protocol buffers for Android, Kotlin, Swift, and Java. Prior to 6.4.1 and 7.0.0-alpha04, Wire's Swift runtime ProtoReader.skipGroup(expectedEndTag:unknownFieldsWriter:) accepts a negative length for a LENGTH_DELIMITED field inside an unknown START_GROUP field. ProtoReader.readData() forwards the negative count to ReadBuffer.readData(count:), whose upper-bound-only check permits the value to reach Foundation Data(bytes:count:) and trigger an unrecoverable process trap instead of a catchable ProtoDecoder.Error. Any Swift process decoding untrusted protobuf bytes can be crashed without authentication, user interaction, or knowledge of the target schema. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.1 and 7.0.0-alpha04.

  • Sep 16, 2026Wire provides gRPC and protocol buffers for Android, Kotlin, Swift, and Java.CVE-2026-63126 · Other software · square · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

Wire provides gRPC and protocol buffers for Android, Kotlin, Swift, and Java. Prior to 6.4.5 and 7.0.0-alpha04, Wire protobuf readers do not consistently validate attacker-controlled lengths against the current logical message boundary before advancing cursors, pointers, limits, slices, or allocations. In Kotlin, ProtoAdapter.decode(ByteArray) and ProtoAdapter.decode(ByteString) use ByteArrayProtoReader32.internalNextLengthDelimited(), where a positive oversized length can wrap pos + length to a negative limit and escape the existing negative-length check. Related ProtoReader, ReadBuffer.readVarint(), ReadBuffer.verifyAdditional(count:), packed-repeated, nested-message, and ProtoDecoder.decodeSizeDelimited(_:from:) paths can cross logical boundaries, perform pointer arithmetic, reserve capacity, or convert an unrepresentable size before proving the requested bytes exist. An attacker who supplies malformed protobuf bytes can cause unchecked exceptions, traps, out-of-bounds behavior, or excessive allocation, resulting in denial of service without known confidentiality, integrity, or code-execution impact. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.5 and 7.0.0-alpha04.

  • Aug 5, 2026In OpenStack Swift through 2.38.0, the S3API middleware does not sanitize Swift-native control headers (X-Copy-From, X-Copy-From-Account) from S3 API requests wCVE-2026-71192 · Other software · OpenStack · reported by MITREMedium 6

In OpenStack Swift through 2.38.0, the S3API middleware does not sanitize Swift-native control headers (X-Copy-From, X-Copy-From-Account) from S3 API requests when s3_acl=true. An attacker can inject these headers into a signed PUT request targeting their own bucket, causing Swift to perform a server-side copy from another tenant's private object. The source object authorization is bypassed because the S3API middleware has already authorized the request against the destination. The attacker can read any object whose project_id, container name, and object name are known, regardless of the source object's ACLs or ownership. This requires the non-default s3_acl=true configuration.

  • Aug 5, 2026In OpenStack Swift through 2.38.0, S3API middleware does not enforce that semantic x-amz-* headers are covered by the SigV4 signature on presigned URL requests.CVE-2026-71191 · Other software · OpenStack · reported by MITREMedium 6

In OpenStack Swift through 2.38.0, S3API middleware does not enforce that semantic x-amz-* headers are covered by the SigV4 signature on presigned URL requests. An attacker who obtains a presigned PUT URL can inject an unsigned X-Amz-Copy-Source header, causing Swift to perform a server-side copy from an arbitrary source object using the signer's authorization context. The attacker can read any object the signer has access to, provided the target project_id, container name, and object name are known. This affects all deployments using the default s3_acl=false configuration.

In OpenStack Swift through 2.38.0, the proxy server Accept header parser contains a regular expression vulnerable to catastrophic backtracking (ReDoS). The "qdtext" pattern (?:[^"]|\\.)* allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to send a crafted Accept header that causes exponential CPU consumption in the proxy worker. An authenticated user with write access can inject these headers to redirect container update requests to an attacker-controlled server, enabling server-side request forgery. The SSRF requests expose internal cluster metadata including storage policy indexes, partition mappings, device names, and when at rest encryption is enabled, cipher text and initialization vectors for the container-level encryption key. The attacker can also cause "ghost listings" in arbitrary containers via the shard-range redirect mechanism.

  • Apr 2, 2026CocoaMQTT is a MQTT 5.0 client library for iOS and macOS written in Swift.CVE-2026-30867 · Other software · emqx · reported by GitHubMedium 5.7

CocoaMQTT is a MQTT 5.0 client library for iOS and macOS written in Swift. Prior to version 2.2.2, a vulnerability exists in the packet parsing logic of CocoaMQTT that allows an attacker (or a compromised/malicious MQTT broker) to remotely crash the host iOS/macOS/tvOS application. If an attacker publishes the 4-byte malformed payload to a shared topic with the RETAIN flag set to true, the MQTT broker will persist the payload. Any time a vulnerable client connects and subscribes to that topic, the broker will automatically push the malformed packet. The app will instantly crash in the background before the user can even interact with it. This effectively "bricks" the mobile application (a persistent DoS) until the retained message is manually wiped from the broker database. This issue has been patched in version 2.2.2.

  • Jan 19, 2026Swift W3C TraceContext is a Swift implementation of the W3C Trace Context standard, and Swift OTel is an OpenTelemetry Protocol (OTLP) backend for Swift Log, SwCVE-2026-23886 · Other software · swift-otel · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

Swift W3C TraceContext is a Swift implementation of the W3C Trace Context standard, and Swift OTel is an OpenTelemetry Protocol (OTLP) backend for Swift Log, Swift Metrics, and Swift Distributed Tracing. Prior to Swift W3C TraceContext version 1.0.0-beta.5 and Swift OTel version 1.0.4, a denial-of-service vulnerability due to improper input validation allows a remote attacker to crash the service via a malformed HTTP header. This allows crashing the process with data coming from the network when used with, for example, an HTTP server. Most common way of using Swift W3C Trace Context is through Swift OTel. Version 1.0.0-beta.5 of Swift W3C TraceContext and version 1.0.4 of Swift OTel contain a patch for this issue. As a workaround, disable either Swift OTel or the code that extracts the trace information from an incoming header (such as a `TracingMiddleware`).

  • Aug 1, 2025The modelscope/ms-swift library thru 2.6.1 is vulnerable to arbitrary code execution through deserialization of untrusted data within the `load_model_meta()` fuCVE-2025-50472 · Other software · reported by MITRECritical 9.8

The modelscope/ms-swift library thru 2.6.1 is vulnerable to arbitrary code execution through deserialization of untrusted data within the `load_model_meta()` function of the `ModelFileSystemCache()` class. Attackers can execute arbitrary code and commands by crafting a malicious serialized `.mdl` payload, exploiting the use of `pickle.load()` on data from potentially untrusted sources. This vulnerability allows for remote code execution (RCE) by deceiving victims into loading a seemingly harmless checkpoint during a normal training process, thereby enabling attackers to execute arbitrary code on the targeted machine. Note that the payload file is a hidden file, making it difficult for the victim to detect tampering. More importantly, during the model training process, after the `.mdl` file is loaded and executes arbitrary code, the normal training process remains unaffected'meaning the user remains unaware of the arbitrary code execution.

  • Aug 1, 2025A remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability exists in the ms-swift project version 3.3.0 due to unsafe deserialization in tests/run.py using yaml.load() from thCVE-2025-50460 · Other software · reported by MITRECritical 9.8

A remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability exists in the ms-swift project version 3.3.0 due to unsafe deserialization in tests/run.py using yaml.load() from the PyYAML library (versions = 5.3.1). If an attacker can control the content of the YAML configuration file passed to the --run_config parameter, arbitrary code can be executed during deserialization. This can lead to full system compromise. The vulnerability is triggered when a malicious YAML file is loaded, allowing the execution of arbitrary Python commands such as os.system(). It is recommended to upgrade PyYAML to version 5.4 or higher, and to use yaml.safe_load() to mitigate the issue.

  • Jan 14, 2025Swift ASN.1 can be caused to crash when parsing certain BER/DER constructions.CVE-2025-0343 · Other software · Swift Project · reported by cve@forums.swift.orgHigh 7.5

Swift ASN.1 can be caused to crash when parsing certain BER/DER constructions. This crash is caused by a confusion in the ASN.1 library itself which assumes that certain objects can only be provided in either constructed or primitive forms, and will trigger a preconditionFailure if that constraint isn't met. Importantly, these constraints are actually required to be true in DER, but that correctness wasn't enforced on the early node parser side so it was incorrect to rely on it later on in decoding, which is what the library did. These crashes can be triggered when parsing any DER/BER format object. There is no memory-safety issue here: the crash is a graceful one from the Swift runtime. The impact of this is that it can be used as a denial-of-service vector when parsing BER/DER data from unknown sources, e.g. when parsing TLS certificates.
