  • Oct 23, 2026Initialization of a Resource with an Insecure Default vulnerability in Hallo Welt! GmbH BlueSpice (container image bluespice/wiki) allows privilege escalation.CVE-2026-25784 · Other software · Hallo Welt! GmbH · reported by security@bluespice.comCritical 9.3

Initialization of a Resource with an Insecure Default vulnerability in Hallo Welt! GmbH BlueSpice (container image bluespice/wiki) allows privilege escalation. The default value of $mwsgTokenAuthenticatorServiceCIDR in the container's LocalSettings.php was intended to restrict internal service authentication to the container network, but evaluated to an empty string when the environment variable WIKI_SERVICE_TOKEN_AUTH_ALLOWED was not set. An empty value disables the IP restriction in the token authenticator component (mwstake/mediawiki-component-token-authenticator). As a result, any user with read access to the wiki (anonymous users on publicly readable wikis) could obtain an application token from the REST API and use it to get a session with sysop privileges as the internal service user. This issue affects BlueSpice: from 5.2.3 before 5.2.7, and the 5.2.7 container images published before 2026-10-19 15:37 UTC.

  • Oct 23, 2026Missing Authorization vulnerability in Hallo Welt! GmbH BlueSpice (Extension:BlueSpiceUserManager) allows any authenticated user without special privileges to bCVE-2026-25716 · Other software · Hallo Welt! GmbH · reported by security@bluespice.comHigh 7.1

Missing Authorization vulnerability in Hallo Welt! GmbH BlueSpice (Extension:BlueSpiceUserManager) allows any authenticated user without special privileges to block or unblock arbitrary user accounts, including administrators. The REST endpoints /bs-usermanager/v1/block/create and /bs-usermanager/v1/block/delete call UserManager::blockUser() and UserManager::unblockUser(), which do not verify the permissions of the acting user. This allows locking out all administrators (denial of service) and lifting blocks imposed by administrators. This issue affects BlueSpice: from 5.0.0 before 5.1.11, from 5.2.0 before 5.2.7.

  • Oct 16, 2026A flaw was found in spice-server.CVE-2026-105958 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.5

A flaw was found in spice-server. Multiple migration data handlers use client-supplied offsets from SPICE_MSGC_MIGRATE_DATA messages without bounds validation, allowing a malicious authenticated SPICE client during VM live migration to read arbitrary heap memory or trigger heap corruption via out-of-bounds read and write operations on the message buffer.

  • Sep 14, 2026SpiceDB is an open source database system for creating and managing security-critical application permissions.CVE-2026-55866 · Other software · authzed · reported by GitHubLow 3.7

SpiceDB is an open source database system for creating and managing security-critical application permissions. From 1.34.0 until 1.54.0, SpiceDB can return PERMISSIONSHIP_HAS_PERMISSION instead of PERMISSIONSHIP_CONDITIONAL_PERMISSION or PERMISSIONSHIP_NO_PERMISSION because checkRequestToKey() and checkRequestToKeyWithCanonical() in internal/dispatch/keys/computed.go omit CheckHints when constructing dispatch Check cache keys. The incorrect result requires a permission combining relations with intersection or exclusion, a subject reachable through caveated and non-caveated branches, LookupResources with a context parameter running concurrently with CheckPermission or CheckBulkPermissions for the same resource and subject, and an enabled dispatch result cache. Under these conditions, a result computed for one hint set can poison the cache entry used by a semantically different authorization check, allowing permission without satisfying the caveat. This issue is fixed in version 1.54.0.

  • Aug 19, 2026electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client.CVE-2026-49255 · Other software · electerm · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. Prior to 3.11.11, electerm constructs operating system commands in src/app/lib/fs.js by interpolating untrusted file paths into the rmrf(), mv(), and cp() functions. A malicious SSH or SFTP server can provide a filename containing quote characters and shell metacharacters, and a victim can cause that filename to reach the affected operation during remote-to-local transfer, conflict renaming, copying, moving, or removal. The generated `rm -rf`, mv, `cp -r`, PowerShell Remove-Item, Move-Item, or Copy-Item command can then interpret the filename as shell syntax. This allows arbitrary command execution with the electerm desktop user's privileges on POSIX and Windows systems, enabling data exfiltration, file modification, malware installation, or denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 3.11.11.

  • Aug 19, 2026electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client.CVE-2026-49253 · Other software · electerm · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. Prior to 3.11.11, electerm uses remote-supplied filenames directly with path.join() while receiving Zmodem and Trzsz transfers. In src/app/server/zmodem.js, prepareReceiveFile() joins the filename to the user-selected save path, and in src/app/server/trzsz.js, getUniqueFilePath(), the openSaveFile() callback, and the savedFilePaths mapping construct destinations without sanitization. A malicious SSH server or remote shell can provide a filename containing traversal components such as ../escaped.txt or ../../.bashrc. When the victim accepts the transfer and selects a download directory, electerm can write outside that directory and overwrite files accessible to the desktop user, potentially changing sensitive configuration or impairing availability. This issue is fixed in version 3.11.11.

electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. Prior to version 3.7.9, a code execution (RCE) vulnerability exists in electerm's SFTP open with system editor or "Edit with custom editor" feature. When a user opts to edit a file using open with system editor or open with a custom editor, the filename is passed directly into a command line without sanitization. A malicious actor controlling the SSH server or user OS can exploit this by crafting a filename containing shell metacharacters. If a victim subsequently attempts to edit this file, the injected commands are executed on their machine with the user's privileges. This could allow the attacker to run arbitrary code, install malware, or move laterally within the network. This issue has been patched in version 3.7.9.

electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. In versions 3.8.15 and prior, the getConstants() IPC handler in src/app/lib/ipc-sync.js serialises the entire process.env object and sends it to the renderer. The data is stored as window.pre.env and is accessible from any JavaScript running in the renderer (e.g., via the DevTools console or a compromised webview context). An attacker who achieves any JavaScript execution within the renderer can trivially exfiltrate these secrets to a remote server, leading to cloud account compromise, supply chain attacks, and lateral movement. electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. In versions 3.8.15 and prior, Electerm's terminal hyperlink handler passes any URL clicked in the terminal directly to shell.openExternal without any protocol validation. An attacker who controls terminal output (e.g., via a malicious SSH server, compromised remote host, or malicious plugin rendering terminal content) can thus achieve arbitrary code execution or local file access on the victim's machine, requiring only that the victim clicks a displayed link. electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. Prior to version 3.7.16, the runWidget function in src/app/widgets/load-widget.js constructs a file path by directly concatenating user‑supplied widget identifiers without any sanitisation. Because runWidget is exposed to the renderer process via an asynchronous IPC handler with no input validation, an attacker who achieves JavaScript execution inside the renderer (for example, through a malicious plugin or a cross‑site scripting flaw in the built‑in webview) can abuse a path traversal (../) to load and execute an arbitrary JavaScript file anywhere on the victim’s filesystem. This gives the attacker local code execution with the full privileges of the electerm process, leading to complete system compromise. This issue has been patched in version 3.7.16.

Prior to version 1.47.1, if a schema includes the following characteristics: permission defined in terms of a union (+) and that union references the same relation on both sides (but one side arrows to a different permission). Then SpiceDB may have missing LookupResources results when checking the permission. This only affects LookupResources; other APIs calculate permissionship correctly. The issue is fixed in version 1.47.1.

  • Nov 10, 2025SpiceDB is an open source database system for creating and managing security-critical application permissions.CVE-2025-64529 · Other software · authzed · reported by GitHubLow 2.7

SpiceDB is an open source database system for creating and managing security-critical application permissions. In versions prior to 1.45.2, users who use the exclusion operator somewhere in their authorization schema; have configured their SpiceDB server such that `--write-relationships-max-updates-per-call` is bigger than 6500; and issue calls to WriteRelationships with a large enough number of updates that cause the payload to be bigger than what their datastore allows; will receive a successful response from their `WriteRelationships` call, when in reality that call failed, and receive incorrect permission check results, if those relationships had to be read to resolve the relation involving the exclusion. Version 1.45.2 contains a patch for the issue. As a workaround, set `--write-relationships-max-updates-per-call` to `1000`.

SpiceDB is an open source database for storing and querying fine-grained authorization data. Prior to version 1.44.2, on schemas involving arrows with caveats on the arrow’ed relation, when the path to resolve a CheckPermission request involves the evaluation of multiple caveated branches, requests may return a negative response when a positive response is expected. Version 1.44.2 fixes the issue. As a workaround, do not use caveats in the schema over an arrow’ed relation.

  • Oct 14, 2024SpiceDB is an open source database for scalably storing and querying fine-grained authorization data.CVE-2024-48909 · Other software · authzed · reported by GitHubLow 2

SpiceDB is an open source database for scalably storing and querying fine-grained authorization data. Starting in version 1.35.0 and prior to version 1.37.1, clients that have enabled `LookupResources2` and have caveats in the evaluation path for their requests can return a permissionship of `CONDITIONAL` with context marked as missing, even then the context was supplied. LookupResources2 is the new default in SpiceDB 1.37.0 and has been opt-in since SpiceDB 1.35.0. The bug is patched as part of SpiceDB 1.37.1. As a workaround, disable LookupResources2 via the `--enable-experimental-lookup-resources` flag by setting it to `false`.

  • Sep 18, 2024spicedb is an Open Source, Google Zanzibar-inspired permissions database to enable fine-grained authorization for customer applications.CVE-2024-46989 · Other software · authzed · reported by GitHubLow 3.7

spicedb is an Open Source, Google Zanzibar-inspired permissions database to enable fine-grained authorization for customer applications. Multiple caveats over the same indirect subject type on the same relation can result in no permission being returned when permission is expected. If the resource has multiple groups, and each group is caveated, it is possible for the returned permission to be "no permission" when permission is expected. Permission is returned as NO_PERMISSION when PERMISSION is expected on the CheckPermission API. This issue has been addressed in release version 1.35.3. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade should not use caveats or avoid the use of caveats on an indirect subject type with multiple entries.

  • Jun 20, 2024Spicedb is an Open Source, Google Zanzibar-inspired permissions database to enable fine-grained authorization for customer applications.CVE-2024-38361 · Other software · authzed · reported by GitHubLow 3.7

Spicedb is an Open Source, Google Zanzibar-inspired permissions database to enable fine-grained authorization for customer applications. Use of an exclusion under an arrow that has multiple resources may resolve to `NO_PERMISSION` when permission is expected. If the resource exists under *multiple* folders and the user has access to view more than a single folder, SpiceDB may report the user does not have access due to a failure in the exclusion dispatcher to request that *all* the folders in which the user is a member be returned. Permission is returned as `NO_PERMISSION` when `PERMISSION` is expected on the `CheckPermission` API. This issue has been addressed in version 1.33.1. All users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this issue.

  • Apr 10, 2024SpiceDB is a graph database purpose-built for storing and evaluating access control data.CVE-2024-32001 · Other software · authzed · reported by GitHubLow 2.2

SpiceDB is a graph database purpose-built for storing and evaluating access control data. Use of a relation of the form: `relation folder: folder | folder#parent` with an arrow such as `folder->view` can cause LookupSubjects to only return the subjects found under subjects for either `folder` or `folder#parent`. This bug only manifests if the same subject type is used multiple types in a relation, relationships exist for both subject types and an arrow is used over the relation. Any user making a negative authorization decision based on the results of a LookupSubjects request with version before v1.30.1 is affected. Version 1.30.1 contains a patch for the issue. As a workaround, avoid using LookupSubjects for negative authorization decisions and/or avoid using the broken schema.
