In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tty: abort break signalling on hangup The break ioctls can race with hangup and end up calling into a tty driver for a device that is already gone or powered down. Drivers must handle this race, but TCSBRK and TCSBRKP should still be aborted to avoid calling back into the driver after a user-controlled timeout (possibly even after the tty has been reopened). Note that drivers should disable any break state on shutdown so just return on hangup (calling break_ctl() again is racy and will most likely fail for drivers handling the race).

  • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64/fpsimd: signal: Forbid non-streaming SVE payload on SME-only systems When system_supCVE-2026-98745 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64/fpsimd: signal: Forbid non-streaming SVE payload on SME-only systems When system_supports_sme() is true but system_supports_sve() is false, restoring a specifically crafted SVE signal context can result in the task erroneously having non-streaming SVE state. Subsequent attempts to manipulate the task's FPSIMD/SVE/SME state can result in a variety of problems, including fatal EL1 UNDEFs. In such configurations, the kernel always creates an SVE signal context when delivering a signal, and this can only be in one of two states: (1) SVE_SIG_FLAG_SM is set, and an SVE payload is present containing streaming mode SVE state. The recorded VL is the task's live streaming VL. (2) SVE_SIG_FLAG_SM is clear, and an SVE payload is not present. The FPSIMD context contains the non-streaming mode FPSIMD state. The recorded VL is 0. Currently restore_sve_fpsimd_context() correctly rejects cases where SVE_SIG_FLAG_SM is set and an SVE payload is not present, but fails to reject cases where SVE_SIG_FLAG_SM is clear and an SVE payload is present. Consequently, restore_sve_fpsimd_context() can place the task

  • Oct 13, 2026The AVDTP signalling layer arms a 6-second command timeout (AVDTP_TIMEOUT) in avdtp_send_cmd() whenever the local device issues an AVDTP request.CVE-2026-19939 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.3

The AVDTP signalling layer arms a 6-second command timeout (AVDTP_TIMEOUT) in avdtp_send_cmd() whenever the local device issues an AVDTP request. Every response handler in subsys/bluetooth/host/classic/avdtp.c cancels session->timeout_work before clearing the pending request, but bt_avdtp_l2cap_disconnected() only cleared session->req and left the delayable work armed. The struct bt_avdtp session is the first member of struct bt_a2dp, whose instances live in a static per-connection array, and a2dp_get_connection() in subsys/bluetooth/host/classic/a2dp.c wipes a slot with memset() as soon as session->br_chan.chan.conn is NULL — which the L2CAP layer arranges immediately after the disconnect callback returns. A remote Bluetooth BR/EDR peer triggers the condition by opening the AVDTP signalling channel, letting the local application issue an AVDTP procedure (the standard A2DP flow issues bt_a2dp_discover() from the connected callback), then tearing the signalling channel down without responding and re-opening it within the remaining timeout window. The reconnect reaches a2dp_accept() → a2dp_get_connection(), which zeroes the whole struct bt_a2dp while the work item's struct _timeout

In Progress® Telerik® Report Server prior to version 12.2.26.1007, incorrect privilege assignment in the service-agent SignalR hub allows an authenticated user, including a low-privilege or guest account with a valid bearer token, to register as a trusted service agent. On the next server settings-synchronization event, the rogue agent receives storage settings and encryption private keys. This privilege escalation enables disclosure of protected secrets, including stored data-source credentials and connection strings, and allows agent impersonation and interference with task dispatch.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dma-buf/dma-fence: fix checking signaling bit for timeline and driver name v3 The patch "dma-buf: dma-fence: Fix potential NULL pointer dereference" changed the check to test for the ops pointer instead of the signaled bit to avoid a potential NULL dereference when the ops pointer has been cleared. The problem is now that the ops pointer is cleared only when neither the release nor the wait callback is implemented and this isn't true for a lot of dma_fence implementations yet. So those implementations lost the RCU protection after signaling of the returned string resulting in potential use after free. Add the signaling check additional to the ops pointer check so that we have both the protection against NULL dereference as well as the RCU protection after signaling for the returned string. v2: improve comments to note RCU protection and explain why we check both signaling state and ops pointer v3: some comment improvements suggested by Philip

  • Sep 25, 2026OpenClaw (npm package openclaw) before 2026.7.1 incorrectly binds Signal approval reactions.CVE-2026-100598 · Other software · OpenClaw · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.5

OpenClaw (npm package openclaw) before 2026.7.1 incorrectly binds Signal approval reactions. In affected versions, a reaction intended to resolve a structured approval request could instead attach to ordinary outbound text when unrelated outbound messages and a pending approval are present in the same conversation. As a result, an approver's reaction to unrelated text could be interpreted as approving or denying a pending host action; the practical impact depends on the pending request, conversation timing, and the actions available to the OpenClaw process. The issue does not change the authority of correctly identified approvers. This is fixed in version 2026.7.1.

  • Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Mark signal tracepoint siginfo arguments as scalar The signal_generate and signal_delCVE-2026-98062 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Mark signal tracepoint siginfo arguments as scalar The signal_generate and signal_deliver tracepoints declare their info argument as a struct kernel_siginfo pointer. btf_ctx_access() therefore treats it as a trusted pointer for tp_btf programs. Signal delivery also uses SEND_SIG_NOINFO and SEND_SIG_PRIV as special values for this argument. Those values are zero and one respectively, and are not pointers. A tp_btf program can currently dereference either value and fault the kernel. In particular, signal_generate can run from timer interrupt context, turning the fault into a kernel panic. Record both tracepoints in raw_tp_null_args[] and mark argument one as a non-pointer. This preserves scalar access to the cookie while rejecting direct and helper-mediated pointer use. Merely marking it nullable would not suffice because SEND_SIG_PRIV is nonzero.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm: Fix drm_crtc_commit leak if signaled when PAGE_FLIP_EVENT is used Commit 1c6ceeee6ebb ("drm/atomic: Fix memleak on ERESTARTSYS during non-blocking commits") fixed a very similar issue when the event was allocated by drm_atomic_helper_setup_commit() itself. However, if the event is allocated in prepare_signaling(), it will also be set to NULL in complete_signaling(), which prevents drm_crtc_commit from being put in __drm_atomic_helper_crtc_destroy_state(). Dropping the reference when the event is set to NULL at complete_signaling() fixes the leak. The leak can be reproduced by sending a signal to the thread using DRM_MODE_PAGE_FLIP_EVENT and using a sw_sync fence to cause the atomic ioctl to block at drm_atomic_helper_wait_for_fences(). It happened both with amdgpu and vkms.

Prior to 2.28.0, makeRemoteRequest() in src/serverroutes.ts accepted attacker-controlled host, port, useTLS, and selfsignedcert parameters from the testSignalKConnection, requestAccess, and checkAccessRequest endpoints without validating the destination. When security was not configured, addAdminMiddleware() was a no-op in dummysecurity.ts, leaving all three endpoints accessible without authentication. The server could be forced to contact loopback, private, link-local, cloud metadata, or arbitrary external destinations, and selfsignedcert could disable certificate verification for outbound HTTPS requests. The checkAccessRequest endpoint also interpolated requestId into its destination path, allowing traversal to other paths on the selected host. Distinct success, connection-refused, and timeout responses enabled internal port scanning; returned response bodies enabled cloud metadata and internal-service data exfiltration; requestAccess enabled server-side POST requests with attacker-controlled JSON; and access to cluster-internal services could support lateral movement. This issue is fixed in version 2.2

libks provides foundational support for signalwire C products. Prior to version 2.0.11, `clean_uri()` in libks's HTTP request parser fails to reject URIs whose path has more segments than its internal canonicalization buffer can hold. The canonicalization step silently passes such URIs through with embedded ".." sequences intact, enabling path traversal in any consumer that later joins the URI with a filesystem path. Version 2.0.11 patches the issue.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring: defer eventfd signaling when queued from a wakeup handler io_req_local_work_add() signals the CQ ring eventfd inline when it is the one to push the first entry onto ->work_list. For DEFER_TASKRUN rings that add is frequently done from a waitqueue wakeup handler, where an arbitrary waitqueue lock is held. eventfd_signal_mask() only refuses to recurse when current->in_eventfd is set, but that bit is set by eventfd_signal_mask() itself. If the wake chain starts somewhere else, signal goes out inline and can feed back into epoll. Add IOU_F_TWQ_IN_WAKE, set it on the task_work add done from the three waitqueue callbacks, and use it to force io_eventfd_signal() down the existing call_rcu_hurry() deferral instead of signaling inline.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: openrisc: signal: do not restore privileged SR bits on sigreturn restore_sigcontext() copies the whole supervision register (SR) from the signal frame and only clears SPR_SR_SM before the value is reloaded into the hardware SR (through ESR and l.rfe) on the return to user space. All other SR bits are left under user control. An unprivileged task can thus return from a signal handler through a crafted sigframe that clears SPR_SR_DME. With the data MMU disabled the CPU performs no translation or protection on data accesses, so the task gains read and write access to arbitrary physical memory, a local privilege escalation. SPR_SR_IME, SPR_SR_SUMRA, SPR_SR_LEE, SPR_SR_EPH and the cache-enable bits are exposed the same way. The ptrace GPR regset already refuses any change to SR for exactly this reason. Restore only the arithmetic flag bits (F, CY, OV) from the signal frame and take every privileged control bit from the SR the kernel saved on signal entry. Verified with qemu-system-or1k -M or1k-sim: before this change an unprivileged PoC clears SPR_SR_DME in rt_sigreturn and writes a marker to physical address 0

Label Studio does not scope the annotation detail endpoint to the requesting user's organization. AnnotationAPI in label_studio/tasks/api.py declares queryset = Annotation.objects.all() and provides no get_queryset override, so the default lookup retrieves any annotation by primary key. The view's permission_required entries name annotations.view, annotations.change and annotations.delete, and label_studio/core/permissions.py registers every permission with rules.is_authenticated, so the check is satisfied by any logged-in account and no object-level organization test runs. The sibling task endpoint does constrain its queryset with project__organization set to the requester's active organization, which is the boundary this path omits. Annotation identifiers are sequential integers, so an authenticated user of one organization can enumerate identifiers to read, modify and delete annotations belonging to other organizations on the same instance. The same unscoped queryset appears on AnnotationConvertAPI in the same file.

Lets use the safe string getters for most tracepoints to avoid this class of a problem, while for the signal tracepoint we move it to before ops are cleared to avoid losing the driver and timeline name information. Apart from moving it we also need to add a new tracepoint class to bypass the safe name getters since the signaled bit is already set. For dma_fence_init we also need to use the new tracepoint class since the rcu read lock is not held there, and we can do the same for the enable signaling since there we are certain the fence cannot be signaled while we are holding the lock and have even validated the fence->ops.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: landlock: Fix LANDLOCK_SCOPE_SIGNAL bypass on the SIGIO path LANDLOCK_SCOPE_SIGNAL must prevent a sandboxed process from signaling processes outside its Landlock domain. It can be bypassed through the asynchronous SIGIO delivery path. A sandboxed process that owns any file or socket can arm it with fcntl(fd, F_SETOWN, -pgid), fcntl(fd, F_SETSIG, SIGKILL) and O_ASYNC, so that an I/O event makes the kernel deliver the chosen signal to the whole process group. As the head of its process group's task list (the default position right after fork()) that group can also hold the non-sandboxed process that launched it, e.g. a supervisor or a security monitor. The sandbox can thus kill or signal the processes LANDLOCK_SCOPE_SIGNAL is meant to protect from it. The scope is enforced in hook_file_send_sigiotask() against the Landlock domain recorded at F_SETOWN time, not the live domain of the sender. control_current_fowner() decides whether to record that domain and skips recording it when the fowner target is in the caller's thread group, which is safe only for a single-task target (PIDTYPE_PID, PIDTYPE_TGID). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/9p: fix infinite loop in p9_client_rpc on fatal signal When p9_client_rpc() is called with type P9_TFLUSH and the transport has no peer (e.g. fd transport backed by pipes with no 9p server), a fatal signal causes an infinite loop: again: err = io_wait_event_killable(req->wq, ...) /* SIGKILL wakes the task, returns -ERESTARTSYS */ if (err == -ERESTARTSYS && c->status == Connected && type == P9_TFLUSH) { sigpending = 1; clear_thread_flag(TIF_SIGPENDING); goto again; } clear_thread_flag() clears TIF_SIGPENDING before jumping back to io_wait_event_killable(). signal_pending_state() checks TIF_SIGPENDING, finds it zero, and the task goes to sleep again. The task can only wake on the next signal delivery that calls signal_wake_up() and sets TIF_SIGPENDING again. When that happens the loop repeats, clears TIF_SIGPENDING, and sleeps again indefinitely. This is triggered in practice by coredump_wait(): when a thread in a multi-threaded process causes a coredump (e.g. via SIGSYS from Syscall User Dispatch), coredump_wait() sends SIGKILL to all other threads and waits for them to call mm_release(). A use-after-free condition exists in pglogical's worker signaling code, where a worker structure can be dereferenced after the underlying slot has been freed or recycled during normal worker lifecycle events. The condition is reachable during normal replication operation, including by a low-privileged user able to influence worker start, stop, and restart timing through permitted pglogical operations. In the typical case the condition crashes replication workers, causing an availability impact. In the worst case a use-after-free in a PostgreSQL backend can be leveraged as a remote code execution primitive at the privilege of that backend.

The Classic (BR/EDR) L2CAP signaling handlers l2cap_br_conf_req() and l2cap_br_conf_rsp() in subsys/bluetooth/host/classic/l2cap_br.c validated the minimum command size against buf->len (the bytes remaining in the whole received PDU) instead of len (the per-command data length from the L2CAP signaling header). Because multiple signaling commands can be packed into one PDU, buf->len may exceed a command's len. An attacker can send a CONF_REQ command with a header length smaller than the configuration-request structure (e.g. 0), followed by another command so that buf->len still satisfies the check. The check then passes incorrectly and opt_len = len - sizeof(*req) underflows the uint16_t to a near-0xFFFF value. The configuration-option loop, which lacks an opt_len-versus-buf->len guard, then walks far past the end of the pooled ACL receive buffer using net_buf pull primitives that perform no runtime bounds check, producing an out-of-bounds read of host memory and, when the out-of-bounds option bytes encode an MTU or flush-timeout option, an out-of-bounds write. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: signal: clear JOBCTL_PENDING_MASK for caller in zap_other_threads() When a multi-threaded process receives a stop signal (e.g., SIGSTOP), do_signal_stop() sets JOBCTL_STOP_PENDING and JOBCTL_STOP_CONSUME on all threads and sets signal->group_stop_count to the number of threads. If one of the threads concurrently calls execve(), de_thread() invokes zap_other_threads() to kill all other threads. zap_other_threads() aborts the pending group stop by resetting signal->group_stop_count to 0 and clears the JOBCTL_PENDING_MASK for all other threads. However, it fails to clear the job control flags for the calling thread. When execve() completes, the calling thread returns to user mode and checks for pending signals. Seeing the stale JOBCTL_STOP_PENDING flag, it calls do_signal_stop(), which invokes task_participate_group_stop(). Since JOBCTL_STOP_CONSUME is still set, it attempts to decrement the already-zero signal->group_stop_count, triggering a warning: sig->group_stop_count == 0 WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 6475 at kernel/signal.c:373 task_participate_group_stop+0x215/0x2d0 Call Trace: <TASK> do_signal_stop+0x3be/0x5c0 k

When used to deliver a signal to a specific thread, thr_kill2(2) called p_cansignal() to determine whether the operation was permitted but did not check the result before delivering the signal. The signal was sent even when the permission check failed. The system call returned the resulting error to the caller, but by then the signal had already been delivered. The missing check allows an unprivileged local user who knows or can guess a target's process and thread IDs to send any signal to a process they would not normally be permitted to signal, including processes owned by other users or by root. The same check enforces jail boundaries, so a jailed process can signal processes on the host or in other jails. Thread IDs are allocated globally and sequentially, and so can be discovered by brute force with no visibility into the target. An attacker can stop or terminate arbitrary processes, including critical system daemons, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).

A Bluetooth BR/EDR peer within radio range can send a fixed-channel CID 0x0001 packet that is larger than MTUsig and contains many L2CAP_ECHO_REQ commands before pairing. In a real-radio stock-kernel run, one 681-byte signaling packet containing 168 zero-length ECHO_REQ commands made the target transmit 168 ECHO_RSP frames over about 220 ms. Impact: a Bluetooth BR/EDR peer within radio range, before pairing, can force 168 ECHO_RSP frames from one 681-byte fixed-channel signaling packet containing packed ECHO_REQ commands.
