  • Oct 15, 2026A flaw was found in the internal WebAssembly (WASM) shim used by the Kuadrant operator.CVE-2026-108334 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.4

A flaw was found in the internal WebAssembly (WASM) shim used by the Kuadrant operator. When generating the CEL predicate that determines whether Gateway-level authentication and rate limiting should run, the shim does not correctly escape values from HTTPRoute match fields. A user who can create or modify an HTTPRoute attached to a shared Gateway can provide a crafted path, header, or query match value that causes the predicate to skip those checks. The request is still forwarded to the route’s backend.

ZeroBrew version 0.3.1 and prior contains a missing integrity verification vulnerability in the Ruby compatibility shim that allows network attackers to execute arbitrary code by substituting malicious content at formula resource or URL-based patch URLs without checksum validation. Attackers can intercept or replace downloads for secondary resource and patch paths in shim.rb, injecting attacker-controlled build steps or source tree modifications that execute during source builds via 'zb install --build-from-source' without any integrity warning.

  • Aug 10, 2026react18-use is a React 19 use hook shim.CVE-2026-48161 · Other software · dai-shi · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3

react18-use is a React 19 use hook shim. Between 2026-05-19 01:07:01 and 2026-05-19 15:20:43, the default branch contained malicious commits 7b79148d1495a2505f9277da295a98cf176f4496 through 7b79148d1495a2505f9277da295a98cf176f4496 that executed remote attacker-controlled code on developer machines during `npm install`. The commits were removed by force-push, but local clones, forks, and direct-SHA URLs may still contain them, and `npm install` against an affected checkout will still execute the code today. The package was not published to npm. `src/install.js` was added and wired into the `postinstall` script. It fetched a JavaScript payload from an attacker-controlled HTTPS endpoint (configurable via an environment variable), disabled TLS verification, and evaluated the response as code with `require` available. Execution was deliberately skipped on CI and cloud/serverless environments, targeting developer workstations. The second-stage payload was attacker-hosted and cannot be reconstructed. Assume full compromise of anything reachable from a Node process with the user's permissions. Those who ran `npm install` against an affected checkout on a developer machine on or after 2026-

fabric-chaincode-java is a Java based implementation of Hyperledger Fabric chaincode shim APIs. From version 2.3.1 to before version 2.5.10, when chaincode is deployed in chaincode-as-a-service mode with TLS enabled, the chaincode server INFO level logging includes the TLS private key password in plaintext. An attacker with access to the chaincode server logs could recover the TLS private key password. If the attacker can also obtain the TLS private key, they could impersonate the chaincode server. This issue has been patched in version 2.5.10.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix a UAF issue in bpf_trampoline_link_cgroup_shim The root cause of this bug is that when 'bpf_link_put' reduces the refcount of 'shim_link->link.link' to zero, the resource is considered released but may still be referenced via 'tr->progs_hlist' in 'cgroup_shim_find'. The actual cleanup of 'tr->progs_hlist' in 'bpf_shim_tramp_link_release' is deferred. During this window, another process can cause a use-after-free via 'bpf_trampoline_link_cgroup_shim'. Based on Martin KaFai Lau's suggestions, I have created a simple patch. To fix this: Add an atomic non-zero check in 'bpf_trampoline_link_cgroup_shim'. Only increment the refcount if it is not already zero. Testing: I verified the fix by adding a delay in 'bpf_shim_tramp_link_release' to make the bug easier to trigger: static void bpf_shim_tramp_link_release(struct bpf_link *link) { /* ... */ if (!shim_link->trampoline) return; + msleep(100); WARN_ON_ONCE(bpf_trampoline_unlink_prog(&shim_link->link, shim_link->trampoline, NULL)); bpf_trampoline_put(shim_link->trampoline); } Before the patch, running a PoC easily reproduced the crash

  • Jun 11, 2021x86: Speculative vulnerabilities with bare (non-shim) 32-bit PV guests 32-bit x86 PV guest kernels run in ring 1.CVE-2021-28689 · Other software · Xen · reported by security@xen.orgMedium 5.5

x86: Speculative vulnerabilities with bare (non-shim) 32-bit PV guests 32-bit x86 PV guest kernels run in ring 1. At the time when Xen was developed, this area of the i386 architecture was rarely used, which is why Xen was able to use it to implement paravirtualisation, Xen's novel approach to virtualization. In AMD64, Xen had to use a different implementation approach, so Xen does not use ring 1 to support 64-bit guests. With the focus now being on 64-bit systems, and the availability of explicit hardware support for virtualization, fixing speculation issues in ring 1 is not a priority for processor companies. Indirect Branch Restricted Speculation (IBRS) is an architectural x86 extension put together to combat speculative execution sidechannel attacks, including Spectre v2. It was retrofitted in microcode to existing CPUs. For more details on Spectre v2, see: http://xenbits.xen.org/xsa/advisory-254.html However, IBRS does not architecturally protect ring 0 from predictions learnt in ring 1. Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
