  • Oct 15, 2026Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams.CVE-2026-57183 · Other software · Erudika · reported by GitHubMedium 6.1

Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams. Prior to 1.69.1, checkApiAuth() in src/main/java/com/erudika/scoold/utils/ScooldUtils.java accepts a JWT signed with app_secret_key or para_secret_key for /api/config and /api/stats without requiring a registered API-key jti, and maps the request to the hardcoded administrative API_USER. The special endpoint checks run even when scoold.api_enabled is false. An attacker who obtains either signing secret can forge a token that reads sensitive configuration and server logs and reaches privileged configuration functionality, while an ordinary login-session token is not sufficient. This issue is fixed in version 1.69.1.

  • Oct 15, 2026Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams.CVE-2026-55842 · Other software · Erudika · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4

Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams. Prior to 1.69.1, the apiCorsConfiguration() method in src/main/java/com/erudika/scoold/ScooldServer.java combines addAllowedOriginPattern("*") with setAllowCredentials(true), causing Spring to reflect any requesting origin while allowing cookies or session tokens. A malicious website visited by a logged-in Scoold user can therefore issue authenticated API requests, read user data, questions, and configuration, and trigger state-changing operations on the user's behalf. This issue is fixed in version 1.69.1.

  • Oct 15, 2026Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams.CVE-2026-55840 · Other software · Erudika · reported by GitHubMedium 5.4

Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams. Prior to 1.69.1, the getBackToUrl() method in src/main/java/com/erudika/scoold/utils/HttpUtils.java validates the backto and returnto parameters with Strings.CI.startsWith against the configured server URL. An attacker can supply an absolute URL whose hostname begins with the legitimate hostname, causing URI.resolve() to retain the attacker URL and the prefix check to accept it. A victim who follows the crafted sign-in link can be redirected to an attacker-controlled domain after authentication, enabling phishing and possible credential or token theft. This issue is fixed in version 1.69.1.

  • Sep 17, 2026Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams.CVE-2026-54677 · Other software · Erudika · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams. Prior to 1.69.0, authenticated users who are not members of a private space can create content in questions belonging to that space because src/main/java/com/erudika/scoold/controllers/QuestionController.java in QuestionController.reply() and src/main/java/com/erudika/scoold/controllers/CommentController.java in CommentController.createAjax() do not apply the canAccessSpace authorization check used by the question read path. With scoold.is_default_space_public set to false and private spaces in use, a user with a valid session and a known or enumerable question identifier can send requests to POST /question/{id} and POST /comment, causing replies and comments to be stored in a thread the user cannot read. This permits unauthorized modification of private discussions and can trigger notifications that reveal the existence or metadata of private activity. This issue is fixed in version 1.69.0.

  • Sep 17, 2026Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams.CVE-2026-54676 · Other software · Erudika · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams. Prior to 1.69.0, users with personal API tokens can retrieve replies from questions in private spaces they cannot access because src/main/java/com/erudika/scoold/api/ApiController.java in ApiController.getPostReplies() does not apply canAccessSpace before returning data from GET /api/posts/{id}/answers. The issue is reachable when scoold.api_user_access_enabled and scoold.api_enabled are true and a token holder knows or enumerates a private question identifier. Under those conditions, the question endpoint can deny access while the answers endpoint returns the private reply bodies, exposing confidential team or project discussions. This issue is fixed in version 1.69.0.

  • May 8, 2026Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams.CVE-2026-42176 · Other software · Erudika · reported by GitHubMedium 6.7

Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams. Prior to version 1.67.0, Scoold allows the admins configuration value to be modified through /api/config/set/admins with a forged Bearer token that is accepted as an admin API token. Once that setting is changed, the target email address is written to the application configuration file. The change does not become active immediately in the current process, because the ADMINS set is loaded once at startup. After a Scoold restart, though, the selected user is recognized as an administrator and gains access to the admin panel. This issue gives an attacker a reliable persistence path: write their own email into scoold.admins, wait for a restart or trigger one operationally, and the account comes back as admin. This issue has been patched in version 1.67.0.

  • Apr 7, 2026Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams.CVE-2026-39354 · Other software · Erudika · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams. Prior to 1.66.2, an authenticated authorization flaw in Scoold allows any logged-in, low-privilege user to overwrite another user's existing question by supplying that question's public ID as the postId parameter to POST /questions/ask. Because question IDs are exposed in normal question URLs, a low-privilege attacker can take a victim question ID from a public page and cause attacker-controlled content to be stored under that existing question object. This causes direct integrity loss of user-generated content and corrupts the integrity of the existing discussion thread. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.66.2.

  • Apr 2, 2026Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams.CVE-2026-34832 · Other software · Erudika · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams. Prior to version 1.66.1, Scoold contains an authenticated authorization flaw in feedback deletion that allows any logged-in, low-privilege user to delete another user's feedback post by submitting its ID to POST /feedback/{id}/delete. The handler enforces authentication but does not enforce object ownership (or moderator/admin authorization) before deletion. In verification, a second non-privileged account successfully deleted a victim account's feedback item, and the item immediately disappeared from the feedback listing/detail views. This issue has been patched in version 1.66.1.

  • Oct 29, 2024Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams.CVE-2024-50334 · Other software · Erudika · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

Scoold is a Q&A and a knowledge sharing platform for teams. A semicolon path injection vulnerability was found on the /api;/config endpoint. By appending a semicolon in the URL, attackers can bypass authentication and gain unauthorised access to sensitive configuration data. Furthermore, PUT requests on the /api;/config endpoint while setting the Content-Type: application/hocon header allow unauthenticated attackers to file reading via HOCON file inclusion. This allows attackers to retrieve sensitive information such as configuration files from the server, which can be leveraged for further exploitation. The vulnerability has been fixed in Scoold 1.64.0. A workaround would be to disable the Scoold API with scoold.api_enabled = false.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
