If the packet shrinks, coff could overshoot the correct position, potentially causing the next ct_sip_parse_header_uri() call to silently skip bytes and miss subsequent Contact headers. Could this lead to a failure to NAT those subsequent headers and leak internal network details?

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conntrack_sip: fix OOB read in sip_skip_whitespace() sip_skip_whitespace() returns dptr unchanged when its own loop exhausts the buffer (dptr == limit), instead of NULL like its sibling sip_follow_continuation() returns on its own "no more data" path. ct_sip_get_header() only checks for NULL after calling it: dptr = sip_skip_whitespace(dptr, limit); if (dptr == NULL) break; if (*dptr != ':' || ++dptr >= limit) break; so a recognized header name followed only by spaces/tabs running to the exact end of the SIP payload, with no colon, makes the very next statement read one byte past the buffer. Make both "no more data" outcomes return NULL, matching the convention sip_follow_continuation() already uses and that both existing callers already check for.

SIPGO is a library for writing SIP services in the GO language. Prior to 1.4.3, WSConnection.Read in sip/transport_ws.go creates a wsutil.Reader without setting MaxFrameSize, allowing NextFrame to accept a client-controlled header.Length before ParseMaxMessageLength is applied. An unauthenticated WS or WSS peer can send a frame header declaring an extremely large payload, causing an oversized allocation or a makeslice length panic before the payload is read and crashing or exhausting memory in the server process. • Sep 18, 2026PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C.CVE-2026-84975 · Other software · pjsip · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4

PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. In 2.17 and earlier, the OpenSSL and GnuTLS backends in pjlib/src/pj/ssl_sock_ossl.c and pjlib/src/pj/ssl_sock_gtls.c copy DNS SubjectAltName values with string functions that recalculate their length and truncate an embedded NUL byte. With server verification enabled through --tls-verify-server for the PJSIP TLS/SIPS transport, a certificate containing a DNS SubjectAltName formed from the target hostname prefix followed by an embedded NUL and an attacker-controlled suffix can therefore be accepted for the prefix hostname. An attacker who possesses such a certificate from a trusted issuer and can intercept the connection can impersonate the target server, complete the SIP session, and receive REGISTER credentials. The mbedTLS backend is not affected because it preserves the explicit string length. No fixed version is available as of this review.

  • Sep 18, 2026PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C.CVE-2026-77396 · Other software · pjsip · reported by GitHubMedium 6.9

PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. In 2.17 and earlier, the PJSIP AVI parser in pjmedia/src/pjmedia/avi_player.c uses an input-file video chunk length as the number of bytes copied into a frame buffer whose capacity is derived from the declared media dimensions. A crafted AVI file can therefore cause an attacker-controlled out-of-bounds write past the heap allocation when an application plays the file or pulls its frames. The existing size assertion does not protect production release builds, where assertions are disabled. Typical local playback can crash the process, while applications that accept untrusted AVI sources expose a stronger memory-corruption condition. No fixed version is available as of this review.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: inetpeer: randomize RB-tree node comparison using SipHash The inetpeer rate limiting systeCVE-2026-90110 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.4

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: inetpeer: randomize RB-tree node comparison using SipHash The inetpeer rate limiting system stores peer entries in a Red-Black tree keyed deterministically on the remote IP address. Because tree lookups walk the RB-tree using standard lexicographical comparisons (inetpeer_addr_cmp), an off-path adversary can predict the exact topology of the tree and the sequence of nodes traversed during lookups (the gc_stack candidate list). By combining deterministic tree traversal with aggressive garbage collection (triggered when tree size exceeds inet_peer_threshold), an attacker can selectively force the eviction of targeted inet_peer nodes. When an evicted node is subsequently re-created upon receiving a new packet, its rate-limiting token bucket (rate_tokens, rate_last) is reset to full capacity. This creates a side-channel primitive allowing off-path attackers to bypass IP-keyed ICMP rate limits and infer open UDP ports (similar to SAD DNS style attacks). Mitigate this by randomizing the RB-tree node comparison logic using SipHash with a secret key (inetpeer_hash_key) initialized via net_get_random_once(). Nodes are o

  • Sep 4, 2026PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C.CVE-2026-57166 · Other software · pjsip · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3

PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. Prior to commit 4472a31, a stack buffer overflow exists in the PJLIB-UTIL telnet CLI front-end when rendering feedback for an entered command line. Several command-line handling paths write an attacker-influenced amount of data into fixed-size buffers without sufficient bounds checking, so a long command line can overflow them. This affects only applications that enable the telnet CLI front-end (e.g. pj_cli_telnet_create() / --cli-telnet-port). The telnet CLI is an interactive administration interface with no authentication, so any client able to reach it can already issue arbitrary CLI commands. A malformed or overly long command line can overflow a fixed-size stack buffer while rendering command-line feedback, which may lead to application termination. Because reaching this code already requires access to the unauthenticated CLI, the impact beyond that existing access is limited. Applications that do not enable the telnet CLI front-end are not affected. This issue has been patched via commit 4472a31.

PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. Prior to commit 628b716, a stack buffer overflow exists in the PJLIB-UTIL telnet CLI front-end when redrawing the command line during history recall (handle_up_down() in cli_telnet.c). This affects only applications that enable the telnet CLI front-end (same gating as the related CLI issue). The line-redraw sequence for a recalled history entry can accumulate more data than a fixed-size stack buffer holds, which may lead to application termination. Exploitation requires access to the unauthenticated telnet CLI, which already permits arbitrary CLI commands, so the additional impact is limited. Applications that do not enable the telnet CLI front-end are not affected. This issue has been patched via commit 628b716.

PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. Prior to commit 8d5956a, a heap buffer overflow exists in the PJLIB-UTIL HTTP client (http_client.c) when buffering an HTTP response body. This affects applications that use the PJLIB-UTIL HTTP client to receive a whole response body at once (a completion callback with no incremental on_data_read callback). When growing the response buffer, an incorrect size calculation based on the server-supplied Content-Length can leave the buffer too small, causing response data to be written past the end of the allocation. A malicious or man-in-the-middle HTTP server can trigger this with a crafted response; impact may range from unexpected application termination to memory corruption. Applications that consume the response incrementally (via on_data_read), or that only connect to trusted servers, are not affected. This issue has been patched via commit 8d5956a.

PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. Prior to commit c4a151a, a stack buffer overflow exists in the GnuTLS TLS backend when parsing the Subject Alternative Name extension of a peer certificate (tls_cert_get_info() in ssl_sock_gtls.c). Only GnuTLS builds are affected (--with-gnutls); OpenSSL and Apple SecureTransport/Network.framework builds are not affected. A network-positioned attacker presenting a crafted certificate — a malicious server to a connecting client, or a malicious client to a server that requests certificates — can trigger this during the TLS handshake, before any SIP-level authentication. Impact may range from unexpected application termination to control flow hijack/memory corruption. This issue has been patched via commit c4a151a.

PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. Prior to commit a1b707c, a stack buffer overflow exists in the SRTP/SDES media transport when processing a=crypto attributes during SDP offer/answer (sdes_encode_sdp() in transport_srtp_sdes.c). This affects applications with SRTP enabled (use_srtp optional or mandatory, using SDES keying). During media negotiation, the crypto attributes from the remote SDP are collected into a fixed-size array without bounding their number; a remote peer that includes an excessive number of a=crypto attributes in a single media description can write past the end of that array on the stack. This is reachable from an incoming SIP INVITE during offer/answer, before application-level authentication. Impact may range from unexpected application termination to control flow hijack/memory corruption. Applications that do not enable SRTP are not affected. This issue has been patched via commit a1b707c.

PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. Prior to commit acc03b5, a stack buffer overflow exists in PJSUA when processing Service-Route headers in a registration response (update_service_route() in pjsua_acc.c). This affects applications that register using the PJSUA/PJSUA2 account API (the default registration path). The Service-Route URIs from a 2xx response to REGISTER are stored into a fixed-size array without bounding the number of headers; a registrar that returns an excessive number of Service-Route headers can write past the end of the array on the stack. The values written are internal pointers rather than arbitrary data, so the most likely impact is unexpected application termination (denial of service), though memory corruption cannot be excluded. The malicious response may come from a compromised or malicious registrar, or — over unprotected transports — a spoofed response. This issue has been patched via commit acc03b5.

PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. Prior to commit d6a0e7f, a buffer overflow can occur in pjsip_generic_array_hdr_print() in pjsip/src/pjsip/sip_msg.c, the function that serializes generic array headers (such as Allow, Require, Supported, and Unsupported). Under certain output-buffer boundary conditions the function can write one byte past the end of the buffer. This is reachable mainly in applications that parse and re-serialize incoming SIP requests — for example a proxy, SBC, or B2BUA — where a remote peer can influence the serialized message. The out-of-bounds write is a single fixed byte; code execution and information disclosure are not demonstrated, and in typical pool-based allocations the byte falls within allocation slack. This issue has been patched via commit d6a0e7f.

PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. Prior to commit 673b978, a remote out-of-bounds read and write can occur in the SDP negotiator when the remote payload-type map maintenance feature is enabled. assign_pt_and_update_map() in pjmedia/src/pjmedia/sdp_neg.c uses payload-type numbers taken from a remote SDP offer or answer to index fixed-size internal tables without sufficient bounds validation, so a crafted remote SDP can cause memory access outside those tables. The practical impact is memory corruption and denial of service; code execution is not demonstrated. This path is only reached when PJMEDIA_SDP_NEG_MAINTAIN_REMOTE_PT_MAP is enabled. The default is disabled, so default builds are not affected; the feature is an interoperability option that integrating products may enable. This issue has been patched via commit 673b978.

A vulnerability in Cisco Desk Phone 9800 Series, Cisco IP Phone 7800 and 8800 Series, and Cisco Video Phone 8875 that are running Cisco Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. This vulnerability is due to improper memory management when an affected device processes HTTP packets. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a continuous stream of crafted HTTP packets to the device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the affected device to continuously consume memory, resulting in a DoS condition. A manual reboot of the device is required to recover from this condition. Note: For this vulnerability to be exploitable, the phone must be registered to Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Unified CM) and have Web Access enabled. Web Access is disabled by default.

libre is a generic library for real-time communications with asynchronous input and output support. Prior to 4.8.1, the websock_decode() function in src/websock/websock.c contains an integer overflow when validating a masked WebSocket frame that uses the 64-bit extended length encoding. The expression 4 + hdr->len can wrap when hdr->len is close to UINT64_MAX, causing the mbuf_get_left() bounds check to pass. The subsequent XOR unmasking loop then writes beyond the heap buffer. Applications using websock_accept() or websock_accept_proto() to implement a WebSocket server are affected, and exploitation can cause attacker-controlled heap corruption or denial of service after the HTTP WebSocket upgrade handshake. This issue is fixed in version 4.8.1.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conntrack_sip: widen NAT rewrite delta to s32 in sip_help_tcp() sip_help_tcp() stores the size change of each NAT-rewritten SIP message in s16 diff and accumulates it in s16 tdiff, but a single message can grow by more than S16_MAX while the packet stays under the 65535 enlarge_skb() limit: nf_nat_sip() rewrites every matching URI, and a long Contact list expands the message by tens of kilobytes. diff then wraps, and "datalen = datalen + diff - msglen" yields a huge unsigned datalen, so the next iteration's ct_sip_get_header() reads past the linearized skb tail. Widen diff, tdiff and the seq_adjust hook to s32. Both are bounded by the 65535 byte packet limit, and the seqadj core is already s32 (nf_ct_seqadj_set() takes s32), so no previously accepted input is rejected. • Aug 4, 2026OpenSIPS is a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) server implementation.CVE-2026-46334 · Other software · OpenSIPS · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7

OpenSIPS is a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) server implementation. Versions prior to 3.6.6 and 4.0.0-rc1 contain a denial of service vulnerability in the SDP bandwidth-line parsing logic. A SIP request with Content-Type: application/sdp and a malformed session-level SDP bandwidth line missing the required colon delimiter can corrupt parsed SDP bandwidth metadata. When a route or module subsequently clones the corrupted SDP state, as occurs with dialog and QoS processing, the OpenSIPS worker process crashes. An unauthenticated remote attacker can therefore trigger a crash in any configuration whose routing script parses attacker-controlled SDP and applies dialog/QoS processing. This issue has been fixed in versions 3.6.6 and 4.0.0-rc1.

OpenSIPS is a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) server implementation. Versions prior to 3.6.6 and 4.0.0-rc1 contain a denial of service vulnerability in the watcherinfo generation functionality. An attacker can create an oversized watcher entry by sending a SUBSCRIBE Event: presence request with a long From URI, and then trigger presence.winfo watcherinfo XML generation for the same presentity. OpenSIPS copies the stored watcher URI into a fixed-size stack buffer, overflowing it and crashing the process. A remote attacker can crash an OpenSIPS worker in deployments that expose handle_subscribe() and allow watcherinfo (presence.winfo) generation. The issue is configuration-dependent because the presence and presence_xml modules must be loaded and SUBSCRIBE routing must be reachable. This issue has been fixed in versions 3.6.6 and 4.0.0-rc1.

OpenSIPS is a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) server implementation. In versions prior to 3.6.6 and 4.0.0-rc1, the find_line_delimiter() function in the multipart body parser performs an out-of-bounds read via strncmp() when searching for MIME boundary delimiters. After finding a -- pattern near the end of the body, the function compares delimiter.len bytes (typically 20-70) starting from a position at or past the logical end of the body buffer, reading past the body boundary. The bug triggers when a SIP message has Content-Type: multipart/mixed with a boundary parameter and its body contains -- within two to three bytes of the body's end without being followed by the actual boundary delimiter. This issue has been fixed in versions 3.6.6 and 4.0.0-rc1.

OpenSIPS is a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) server implementation. In versions prior to 3.6.6 and 4.0.0-rc1, the construct_uri() function concatenates multiple URI components (protocol, username, domain, port, params) into a fixed 1024-byte global BSS buffer without any bounds checking. When a routing script calls construct_uri() with an attacker-controlled username, a combined component length exceeding 1024 bytes overflows the buffer, corrupting adjacent global data with attacker-controlled content. The overflow reaches disable_503_translation, a global flag controlling SIP 503 response handling, allowing an attacker to deterministically set the flag via the URI username and alter the server's routing behavior for subsequent messages. Because the same buffer is shared with contact_builder(), the overflow also corrupts that function's data, and without a memory sanitizer the adjacent globals are silently overwritten on every request containing a long username. This issue has been fixed in versions 3.6.6 and 4.0.0-rc1.

  • Aug 4, 2026OpenSIPS is a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) server implementation.CVE-2026-45103 · Other software · OpenSIPS · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

OpenSIPS is a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) server implementation. In versions prior to 3.6.6 and 4.0.0-rc1, the TCP message framing layer parses the Content-Length header using unsigned int arithmetic with no overflow check. When an attacker sends a Content-Length value that overflows unsigned int (e.g., 4294967296), the framing layer computes a wrapped-around value (e.g., 0) and splits the TCP stream at the wrong boundary, causing the body of the first SIP message to be processed as a separate message and enabling SIP message smuggling. Because Content-Length is parsed in the transport layer before authentication, an unauthenticated, network-based attacker can smuggle arbitrary SIP messages over any TCP-based transport (proto_tcp, proto_tls, proto_ws, proto_wss) on any instance with TCP enabled, with no routing-script preconditions. This allows smuggled messages to bypass front-end SBC/proxy security policies, inherit the connection's authentication context, and evade rate limiting. This issue has been fixed in versions 3.6.6 and 4.0.0-rc1.

OpenSIPS is a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) server implementation. Versions 3.4.0-beta through 3.6.5 and 4.0.0-beta contain a buffer overflow in the {s.b64encode} string transformation. The size check for {s.b64encode} only verifies that the input fits within the 64 KB transformation buffer, but base64 encoding expands the data by roughly a third, so an input between about 49,153 and 65,535 bytes produces more output than the buffer can hold and overflows it by up to 21,844 bytes. Because these transformation buffers sit next to each other in memory and are reused for chained transformations, the overflow writes attacker-controlled data into the adjacent buffer and corrupts values used by later transformations processing the same SIP message. A remote attacker can trigger this by sending a SIP message with a large header value (roughly 50,000 bytes or more) when the routing script applies  {s.b64encode}  to attacker-controlled input, making exploitability dependent on the deployment's routing configuration. This issue has been fixed in versions 3.6.6 and 4.0.0-rc1.

OpenSIPS is a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) server implementation. Versions 3.4.0 through 3.6.5 contain a denial of service vulnerability in the presence module. When the presence module's handle_publish() function processes a SIP PUBLISH request with an Event: presence header and a message body while the configuration option enable_sphere_check=1 is set, it invokes the get_content_type() macro without first calling parse_content_type_hdr(), causing it to dereference uninitialized or NULL Content-Type parsing state and crash. If a Content-Type header is present but unparsed, msg->content_type->parsed is NULL and is dereferenced as a content_t pointer; if the request lacks a Content-Type header entirely, msg->content_type itself is NULL, and both cases lead to a crash. A remote attacker can therefore cause a denial of service against an affected instance with a single PUBLISH request over UDP or TCP, using either a valid Content-Type: application/pidf+xml request or one with the header removed, and the vulnerable code path itself does not enforce authentication (though a deployment's routing configuration may require it before this route is reached).
