  • Jun 17, 2026In SignalRGB versions prior to 1.3.7.0, the \\.\SignalIo device object is created without an explicit SDDL security descriptor and without FILE_DEVICE_SECURE_OPCVE-2026-8049 · Other software · SignalRGB · reported by cret@cert.orgMedium 5.3

In SignalRGB versions prior to 1.3.7.0, the \\.\SignalIo device object is created without an explicit SDDL security descriptor and without FILE_DEVICE_SECURE_OPEN. This results in overly permissive default access control, allowing any authenticated local user to obtain a handle to the device and issue privileged IOCTLs.

  • May 21, 2026When bsdinstall or bsdconfig are prompted to scan for nearby Wi-Fi networks, they build up a list of network names and use bsddialog(1) to prompt the user to seCVE-2026-45255 · Other software · FreeBSD · reported by secteam@freebsd.orgHigh 7.5

When bsdinstall or bsdconfig are prompted to scan for nearby Wi-Fi networks, they build up a list of network names and use bsddialog(1) to prompt the user to select a network. This is implemented using a shell script, and the code which handled network names was not careful to prevent expansion by the shell. As a result, a suitably crafted network name can be used to execute commands via a subshell. The problem can be exploited to execute code as root on the system running bsdinstall or bsdconfig. The attacker would need to create an access point with a specially crafted name and be within range of a Wi-Fi scan. Note that bsdinstall and bsdconfig are vulnerable as soon as the user prompts them to scan for nearby networks; they do not need to actually select the malicious network.

  • Apr 24, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFC: digital: Bounds check NFC-A cascade depth in SDD response handler The NFC-A anti-collCVE-2026-31622 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFC: digital: Bounds check NFC-A cascade depth in SDD response handler The NFC-A anti-collision cascade in digital_in_recv_sdd_res() appends 3 or 4 bytes to target->nfcid1 on each round, but the number of cascade rounds is controlled entirely by the peer device. The peer sets the cascade tag in the SDD_RES (deciding 3 vs 4 bytes) and the cascade-incomplete bit in the SEL_RES (deciding whether another round follows). ISO 14443-3 limits NFC-A to three cascade levels and target->nfcid1 is sized accordingly (NFC_NFCID1_MAXSIZE = 10), but nothing in the driver actually enforces this. This means a malicious peer can keep the cascade running, writing past the heap-allocated nfc_target with each round. Fix this by rejecting the response when the accumulated UID would exceed the buffer. Commit e329e71013c9 ("NFC: nci: Bounds check struct nfc_target arrays") fixed similar missing checks against the same field on the NCI path.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: storage: sddr55: Reject out-of-bound new_pba Discovered by Atuin - Automated Vulnerability Discovery Engine. new_pba comes from the status packet returned after each write. A bogus device could report values beyond the block count derived from info->capacity, letting the driver walk off the end of pba_to_lba[] and corrupt heap memory. Reject PBAs that exceed the computed block count and fail the transfer so we avoid touching out-of-range mapping entries.

  • Nov 4, 2020An issue was discovered in SDDM before 0.19.0.CVE-2020-28049 · Other software · Sddm Project · reported by MITREMedium 6.3

An issue was discovered in SDDM before 0.19.0. It incorrectly starts the X server in a way that - for a short time period - allows local unprivileged users to create a connection to the X server without providing proper authentication. A local attacker can thus access X server display contents and, for example, intercept keystrokes or access the clipboard. This is caused by a race condition during Xauthority file creation.
