  • Oct 9, 2026A double free in the IP management daemon (ipmgmtd) of OmniOS and SmartOS allows a local user to crash the daemon.CVE-2026-104113 · Other software · OmniOS · reported by 0ca53633-f0b5-4853-ba72-e0a2e62000d0Medium 5.4

A double free in the IP management daemon (ipmgmtd) of OmniOS and SmartOS allows a local user to crash the daemon. When authorizing a door request that modifies interface configuration, ipmgmt_handler() in usr/src/cmd/cmd-inet/lib/ipmgmtd/ipmgmt_door.c frees the caller's credential with ucred_free() immediately after reading the user ID, and frees it a second time on the error path if the authorization check fails. An unprivileged local user who does not hold the solaris.network.interface.config authorization can send such a request, for example IPMGMT_CMD_RESETIF, to the ipmgmtd door, causing ipmgmtd to abort; repeated requests place the svc:/network/ip-interface-management service into maintenance, preventing IP interface configuration. The early free was introduced in 2014 to support lx-branded zones (OmniOS commit 4c170900) and is not present in upstream illumos-gate. It affects OmniOS r151020 and later, and SmartOS, prior to the fix.

  • Jun 25, 2026Zephyr's IPv6 network stack can be prevented from receiving or processing future incoming packets by sending a small number of maliciously fragmented IPv6 packeCVE-2026-13351 · Other software · zephyrproject-rtos · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 7.5

Zephyr's IPv6 network stack can be prevented from receiving or processing future incoming packets by sending a small number of maliciously fragmented IPv6 packets. When such a packet is handled by the fragment-header processing path, the associated RX network packet buffer (allocated from a memory slab) is not released back to the pool. Repeating the malicious packet exhausts all RX buffer slots, after which the device can no longer obtain RX buffers and stops receiving traffic, resulting in a denial of service.

  • Jun 9, 2026A remote, unauthenticated BLE peer can trigger a 2-byte out-of-bounds write in the Bluetooth host during L2CAP LE CoC SDU reassembly.CVE-2026-5068 · Other software · zephyrproject-rtos · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgHigh 7.6

A remote, unauthenticated BLE peer can trigger a 2-byte out-of-bounds write in the Bluetooth host during L2CAP LE CoC SDU reassembly. When the application enables segmentation (via chan_ops.alloc_buf) and the chosen RX pool has a user_data_size smaller than 2 bytes, the segmentation counter stored in the net_buf user_data area is written out of bounds in l2cap_chan_le_recv_seg (subsys/bluetooth/host/l2cap.c). The observed effects are an AddressSanitizer abort and, without ASan, heap corruption / fatal error.

  • Jun 9, 2026A remote, unauthenticated attacker can trigger memory corruption in Zephyr's HTTP server WebSocket upgrade path by sending a crafted Sec-WebSocket-Key header.CVE-2026-5067 · Other software · zephyrproject-rtos · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgCritical 9.8

A remote, unauthenticated attacker can trigger memory corruption in Zephyr's HTTP server WebSocket upgrade path by sending a crafted Sec-WebSocket-Key header. The HTTP/1 header parser copies the header into a fixed-size buffer using a bounded copy that does not guarantee NUL termination when the input length reaches the buffer size. During upgrade handling the buffer is copied to a local stack buffer and passed to strlen(); if no NUL exists in-bounds, strlen() reads beyond the stack buffer and subsequent concatenation with the WebSocket magic string can write out of bounds. This leads to out-of-bounds read and write on stack memory, resulting in crash (denial of service) and potentially code execution. The path is reachable when CONFIG_HTTP_SERVER_WEBSOCKET is enabled.

  • Jun 4, 2026A potential out-of-bounds write/read exists in the TLS socket connect path of the network sockets subsystem (subsys/net/lib/sockets/sockets_tls.c).CVE-2026-5066 · Other software · zephyrproject-rtos · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.3

A potential out-of-bounds write/read exists in the TLS socket connect path of the network sockets subsystem (subsys/net/lib/sockets/sockets_tls.c). When the TLS session cache is enabled, tls_session_store() and tls_session_restore() memcpy the caller-supplied address into a fixed-size buffer using the caller-controlled addrlen value without validating it against the destination size. struct net_sockaddr is an opaque type, so an application can pass an addrlen larger than sizeof(struct net_sockaddr) (for example 128 bytes into a 24-byte stack buffer), causing the memcpy to read and write past the end of the address memory used by the TLS session cache. This out-of-bounds write can lead to a crash and denial of service, and potentially to arbitrary code execution.

  • Jun 4, 2026An integer underflow in bt_mesh_sol_recv() in the Bluetooth Mesh solicitation handling (subsys/bluetooth/mesh/solicitation.c) leads to an out-of-bounds write.CVE-2026-5589 · Other software · zephyrproject-rtos · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.3

An integer underflow in bt_mesh_sol_recv() in the Bluetooth Mesh solicitation handling (subsys/bluetooth/mesh/solicitation.c) leads to an out-of-bounds write. When CONFIG_BT_MESH_OD_PRIV_PROXY_SRV is enabled, the function parses solicitation PDUs from raw BLE advertising payloads. The AD parsing loop reads an attacker-controlled length byte (reported_len) and computes reported_len - 3 without checking that reported_len >= 3. When reported_len is less than 3, the subtraction is performed in signed int arithmetic and yields a negative value that bypasses the length guard and is then implicitly converted to a very large size_t when passed to net_buf_simple_pull_mem(). In builds without assertions, this wraps the buffer length and advances the data pointer far out of bounds, so subsequent reads dereference invalid memory. A nearby BLE device can trigger this with a non-connectable advertisement carrying a UUID16 AD structure and a crafted length byte, with no pairing or prior association required, potentially leading to denial of service or arbitrary code execution.

  • May 30, 2026The SocketCAN implementation validates the length of a user-provided buffer containing a socketcan_frame object using only a NET_ASSERT statement in zcan_sendtoCVE-2026-5071 · Other software · zephyrproject-rtos · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.1

The SocketCAN implementation validates the length of a user-provided buffer containing a socketcan_frame object using only a NET_ASSERT statement in zcan_sendto_ctx() before dereferencing it in socketcan_to_can_frame(). In production builds where assertions are disabled, a userspace application that controls the length passed to a sendto syscall can supply an incomplete or truncated frame, causing socketcan_to_can_frame() to dereference fields beyond the end of the buffer. This results in an out-of-bounds read that can cause denial-of-service crashes or, because the parsed frame contents are transmitted on the network, leak adjacent memory.

  • May 22, 2026A bitwise shift vulnerability in Zephyr's PTP subsystem allows a remote attacker to cause undefined behavior and potential system crashes.CVE-2026-5072 · Other software · zephyrproject-rtos · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.5

A bitwise shift vulnerability in Zephyr's PTP subsystem allows a remote attacker to cause undefined behavior and potential system crashes. An attacker sends a crafted PTP_MSG_MANAGEMENT message to set an unvalidated negative log_announce_interval value in the port's data set. When a subsequent PTP_MSG_ANNOUNCE message is processed, port_timer_set_timeout_random computes a timeout as NSEC_PER_SEC >> -log_seconds; if the attacker-supplied value is sufficiently negative (e.g., -127), the shift amount exceeds the 64-bit integer width, triggering undefined behavior in C. This can cause a system crash via a compiler-generated illegal instruction trap on some architectures, or produce an erroneous zero timeout leading to resource starvation loops or other logical errors.

  • May 12, 2026Issuing an ICMP ping via the `net ping` shell command to a device's own IPv4 address causes the network stack to recursively re-enter the input path on the sameCVE-2026-1681 · Other software · zephyrproject-rtos · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.1

Issuing an ICMP ping via the `net ping` shell command to a device's own IPv4 address causes the network stack to recursively re-enter the input path on the same system work-queue stack. Because the destination is recognized as a local address, both the echo request and the resulting echo reply are processed inline before the current frame returns. The nested input-path frames exceed the work-queue stack and trigger a stack overflow.

Zephyr sockets created with `IPPROTO_TLS_1_3` can still negotiate a TLS 1.2 connection when both TLS versions are enabled in Kconfig, because the socket-level protocol selection is not propagated to mbedTLS (e.g. via `mbedtls_ssl_conf_min_tls_version`). The ClientHello advertises both versions and the peer can establish TLS 1.2, so applications that assumed `IPPROTO_TLS_1_3` enforces TLS 1.3 may silently use TLS 1.2 and remain exposed to TLS 1.2-specific weaknesses. As a workaround, the `TLS_CIPHERSUITE_LIST` socket option can be restricted to TLS 1.3-only cipher suites.

  • Jan 27, 2026The vulnerability stems from an incorrect error-checking logic in the CreateCounter() function (in threadx/utility/rtos_compatibility_layers/OSEK/tx_osek.c) wheCVE-2026-0648 · Other software · Eclipse Foundation · reported by emo@eclipse.orgHigh 7.8

The vulnerability stems from an incorrect error-checking logic in the CreateCounter() function (in threadx/utility/rtos_compatibility_layers/OSEK/tx_osek.c) when handling the return value of osek_get_counter(). Specifically, the current code checks if cntr_id equals 0u to determine failure, but @osek_get_counter() actually returns E_OS_SYS_STACK (defined as 12U) when it fails. This mismatch causes the error branch to never execute even when the counter pool is exhausted. As a result, when the counter pool is depleted, the code proceeds to cast the error code (12U) to a pointer (OSEK_COUNTER *), creating a wild pointer. Subsequent writes to members of this pointer lead to writes to illegal memory addresses (e.g., 0x0000000C), which can trigger immediate HardFaults or silent memory corruption. This vulnerability poses significant risks, including potential denial-of-service attacks (via repeated calls to exhaust the counter pool) and unauthorized memory access.

Use After Free vulnerability was discovered in fs/vfs/fs_rename code of the Apache NuttX RTOS, that due recursive implementation and single buffer use by two different pointer variables allowed arbitrary user provided size buffer reallocation and write to the previously freed heap chunk, that in specific cases could cause unintended virtual filesystem rename/move operation results. This issue affects Apache NuttX RTOS: from 7.20 before 12.11.0. Users of virtual filesystem based services with write access especially when exposed over the network (i.e. FTP) are affected and recommended to upgrade to version 12.11.0 that fixes the issue.

Release of Invalid Pointer or Reference vulnerability was discovered in fs/inode/fs_inoderemove code of the Apache NuttX RTOS that allowed root filesystem inode removal leading to a debug assert trigger (that is disabled by default), NULL pointer dereference (handled differently depending on the target architecture), or in general, a Denial of Service. This issue affects Apache NuttX RTOS: from 10.0.0 before 12.10.0. Users of filesystem based services with write access that were exposed over the network (i.e. FTP) are affected and recommended to upgrade to version 12.10.0 that fixes the issue.

A vulnerability was identified in the handling of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) fixed channels (such as SMP or ATT). Specifically, an attacker could exploit a flaw that causes the BLE target (i.e., the device under attack) to attempt to disconnect a fixed channel, which is not allowed per the Bluetooth specification. This leads to undefined behavior, including potential assertion failures, crashes, or memory corruption, depending on the BLE stack implementation.
