In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/rocket: clear rdev on device init failure rocket_probe() stores the return value from rocket_device_init() in the file-scoped rdev pointer before checking whether it is an error pointer. If rocket_device_init() fails, rdev is left as an ERR_PTR. The rdev pointer is also used as the marker for whether the shared rocket device has already been initialized. A later core probe can therefore see a non-NULL rdev, skip rocket_device_init(), and dereference the error pointer when reading rdev->num_cores. Save the error code and clear rdev before returning from the rocket_device_init() failure path.

  • Oct 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/rocket: search every core slot when a core is removed rocket_remove() decrements rdeCVE-2026-99184 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/rocket: search every core slot when a core is removed rocket_remove() decrements rdev->num_cores for each core it removes, while find_core_for_dev() searches slots 0 to num_cores - 1. Unbinding the cores in the order they were bound therefore loses the last one: by the time it is removed the search range has already shrunk past its slot, so find_core_for_dev() returns -1 and rocket_remove() gives up without doing anything. num_cores never reaches zero, rocket_device_fini() never runs, and the file-scoped rdev keeps pointing at a device that is going away. Binding the cores again starts from that stale count, because rocket_probe() takes rdev->num_cores as the slot to fill. On an RK3588, which describes three cores, the second round lands on slots 1, 2 and 3 while rdev->cores was allocated with room for three: rocket fdab0000.npu: Rockchip NPU core 1 version: 1179210309 rocket fdac0000.npu: Rockchip NPU core 2 version: 1179210309 rocket fdad0000.npu: Rockchip NPU core 3 version: 1179210309 The write to rdev->cores[3] is past the end of the array. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/rocket: search every core slot when looking up a scheduler sched_to_core() walks rdev->cores[] up to rdev->num_cores, and rocket_remove() decrements num_cores for every core it removes. Unbind a core that is not the last one and the cores behind it fall outside the search, so sched_to_core() returns NULL for a core that is still bound and still running jobs. • Oct 22, 2026Rsyslog is a rocket-fast system for log processing.CVE-2026-92709 · Other software · rsyslog · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1

Rsyslog is a rocket-fast system for log processing. From versions 1.15.0 to 8.2610.0, rsyslog's omfile dynaFile facility intentionally allows templates to generate flexible output paths. This supports valid deployments that route logs into different directories or use dynamically generated file names. A deployment becomes unsafe when a dynaFile template uses a value influenced by untrusted input as a path component without explicit secure-path handling. In that configuration, the rendered path can escape the operator's intended log directory. This is not limited to the RFC5424 HOSTNAME field. Any untrusted value that reaches a dynaFile path component can create the condition. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.

  • Sep 18, 2026Rsyslog is a rocket-fast system for log processing.CVE-2026-61548 · Other software · rsyslog · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1

Rsyslog is a rocket-fast system for log processing. From 7.5.4 until 8.2606.0, the optional mmpstrucdata plugin's parseSD_PARAM function in plugins/mmpstrucdata/mmpstrucdata.c stores RFC5424 parameter values in a fixed pVal[32 * 1024] stack buffer and calls parsePARAM_VALUE without supplying the destination size. A remote unauthenticated attacker whose crafted RFC5424 message reaches an action using mmpstrucdata can provide a structured-data parameter larger than that buffer when MaxMessageSize permits it, causing an attacker-controlled stack overwrite. Deployments that do not install and use the plugin, or whose effective message-size limit remains below the required threshold, are not affected by this issue. The demonstrated impact is a crash and interruption of log collection; code execution is not demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 8.2606.0.

  • Sep 18, 2026Rsyslog is a rocket-fast system for log processing.CVE-2026-55556 · Other software · rsyslog · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

Rsyslog is a rocket-fast system for log processing. From 8.2110.0 until 8.2604.0, the optional imhttp module's parse_auth_header function in contrib/imhttp/imhttp.c allocates a zero-byte heap buffer with calloc(0, len) when an HTTP Basic Authorization value exceeds its fixed work buffer, then passes that pointer to apr_base64_decode. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send an oversized encoded credential to an imhttp endpoint configured for Basic Authentication, causing decoded data to overwrite adjacent heap memory before credential validation. Deployments that do not install, load, and use imhttp with Basic Authentication are not affected. The demonstrated impact is a process crash that interrupts log collection, and code execution has not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 8.2604.0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/rocket: fix NULL dereference and integer overflow in rocket_job_push() rocket_job_push() allocates a temporary array to hold all input and output GEM object pointers: bos = kvmalloc_array(job->in_bo_count + job->out_bo_count, sizeof(void *), GFP_KERNEL); memcpy(bos, job->in_bos, job->in_bo_count * sizeof(void *)); memcpy(&bos[job->in_bo_count], job->out_bos, ...); Two bugs exist: 1. Missing NULL check: if kvmalloc_array() fails, bos is NULL and the subsequent memcpy() dereferences it, causing a kernel NULL pointer dereference. 2. Integer overflow: in_bo_count and out_bo_count are both u32, set directly from userspace-supplied in_bo_handle_count and out_bo_handle_count with no prior validation. Their sum is computed in u32 arithmetic and can wrap to a smaller value, causing the allocation count passed to kvmalloc_array() to be smaller than intended. Subsequent uses still operate on the original counts when copying and locking objects, which may lead to out-of-bounds accesses on the temporary array. Fix by using check_add_overflow() to detec

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/rocket: initialize job domain before cleanup paths rocket_ioctl_submit_job() releaseCVE-2026-89591 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/rocket: initialize job domain before cleanup paths rocket_ioctl_submit_job() releases rjob through rocket_job_put() on allocation error paths. rocket_job_cleanup() unconditionally calls rocket_iommu_domain_put(job->domain), but job->domain is assigned only after task copying and BO lookups. A failure before that assignment can therefore clean up a job with a NULL domain pointer. Take the per-file domain reference before the first error path can release rjob. Also clear rjob->tasks after freeing it in rocket_copy_tasks(), so the common cleanup path cannot free the task array again after a task-copy error.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/rocket: Fix error path handling in rocket_job_run() In rocket_job_run(), after taking an extra fence reference for job->done_fence via dma_fence_get(), the error paths have three bugs: - The dma_fence reference held by job->done_fence is never released, causing a reference leak. - pm_runtime_get_sync() increments the usage counter even on failure, but the error path does not decrement it, leaking the runtime PM reference and preventing the NPU from suspending. - A valid but unsignaled fence is returned to the DRM scheduler, which triggers WARN("Fence ... released with pending signals!") when the scheduler drops its reference. Fix by replacing pm_runtime_get_sync() with pm_runtime_resume_and_get() which auto-balances the usage counter on failure, releasing both fence references on error, and returning ERR_PTR(ret) instead of the unsignaled fence. • Aug 24, 2026Rocket.Chat exposes the sendForgotPasswordEmail Meteor method without a DDP rate limit, so an unauthenticated caller may invoke it as often as it likes.CVE-2026-75575 · Other software · RocketChat · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9

Rocket.Chat exposes the sendForgotPasswordEmail Meteor method without a DDP rate limit, so an unauthenticated caller may invoke it as often as it likes. The method is reachable over DDP and over the HTTP route POST /api/v1/method.callAnon/sendForgotPasswordEmail, and it triggers a password reset message for any address that matches an account. With no DDPRateLimiter rule registered for it, a caller can drive an unbounded volume of reset mail at a chosen address from the deployment's own mail sender, and can probe addresses at scale: the method answers true for an address with no account and for a successful send, but false when the address belongs to an account that authenticates through an external provider and Accounts_AllowPasswordChangeForOAuthUsers is off, so repeated calls distinguish that class of account. Later versions register a rule permitting ten calls per minute per client address.

The REST route chat.getThreadsList was patched in v5.0 (HackerOne report #1446767) by adding rid: {type:'string'} AJV validation. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/rocket: fix UAF via dangling GEM handle in create_bo rocket_ioctl_create_bo() inserts a GEM handle into the file's IDR via drm_gem_handle_create() early on, then performs several operations that can fail (sgt allocation, drm_mm insert, iommu_map). If any fail after the handle is live, the error path calls drm_gem_shmem_object_free() which kfree's the object without removing the handle from the IDR. This leaves a dangling handle pointing to freed slab memory. Any subsequent ioctl using that handle (PREP_BO, FINI_BO, SUBMIT) calls drm_gem_object_lookup() and dereferences freed memory (UAF). Fix by moving drm_gem_handle_create() to after all fallible operations succeed, matching the pattern used by panfrost, lima, and etnaviv. Also fix drm_mm_insert_node_generic() whose return value was silently overwritten by iommu_map_sgtable() on the next line. Add the missing error check. [tomeu: Move handle creation to the very end]

This vulnerability is fixed in 8.5.1, 8.4.4, 8.3.6, 8.2.6, 8.1.6, 8.0.7, and 7.10.13.

Rocket.Chat is an open-source, secure, fully customizable communications platform. Prior to 8.5.1, 8.4.4, 8.3.6, 8.2.6, 8.1.6, 8.0.7, and 7.10.13, in apps/meteor/app/apple/server/loginHandler.ts, handleIdentityToken parses a JWT issued by Apple during the OAuth flow. The try block checks for an email parameter. If the JWT does not contain an email address, the application falls back to accepting an arbitrary email value supplied directly in the request. Attackers are able to forge Apple JWTs that do not contain an email address and leverage this vulnerability to carry out account takeover attacks. This vulnerability is fixed in 8.5.1, 8.4.4, 8.3.6, 8.2.6, 8.1.6, 8.0.7, and 7.10.13.

Rocket.Chat is an open-source, secure, fully customizable communications platform. Prior to 8.5.0, the ImageElement component in packages/gazzodown renders user-controlled src values directly into <a href> and <img src> attributes without protocol sanitization. Unlike the analogous LinkSpan component — which uses sanitizeUrl to block javascript:, data:, and vbscript: protocols — ImageElement passes the raw URL through unchanged. An authenticated user can post a markdown image with a javascript: URL that, if clicked on an older browser, would execute arbitrary JavaScript in the viewer's session. Rocket.Chat is an open-source, secure, fully customizable communications platform. Prior to 8.5.0, 8.4.1, 8.3.3, 8.2.3, 8.1.4, 8.0.5, 7.13.7, and 7.10.11, Rocket.Chat's SAML service provider implementation silently skips both SAML Response and Assertion signature validation when the configured IdP certificate field is empty. The verifySignatures routine performs an early return when serviceProviderOptions.cert is falsy, which is the default state of the setting. Because provider registration only gates on the SAML "enabled" toggle and not on the presence of a certificate, an administrator who enables SAML without pasting an IdP certificate obtains a fully wired, publicly reachable SAML login endpoint that accepts unsigned or attacker-supplied assertions. This is a default-configuration authentication-bypass class: the fail-open branch is reached with no misconfiguration beyond leaving a field at its shipped default. This vulnerability is fixed in 8.5.0, 8.4.1, 8.3.3, 8.2.3, 8.1.4, 8.0.5, 7.13.7, and 7.10.11.

Prior to 8.5.0, 8.4.1, 8.3.3, 8.2.3, 8.1.4, 8.0.5, 7.13.7, and 7.10.11, an unauthenticated network attacker obtains a valid Rocket.Chat OAuth access token for an arbitrary user by sending a single HTTP POST with MongoDB query operators to /oauth/token. The Rocket.Chat OAuth2 server does not validate that grant parameters are strings before forwarding them to findOne({...}) against the oauth_apps and oauth_access_tokens collections, so an attacker substitutes {"$ne": null} for client_id, client_secret, and refresh_token and receives a freshly minted {access_token, refresh_token} pair bound to whichever user's refresh token Mongo returned first. The resulting access token is a first-class bearer credential against the full /api/v1/* surface as that user. By iterating with $nin / $regex operators the attacker walks the entire oauth_access_tokens collection, collecting one fresh access token per user per request. If any matched token belongs to an admin, the stolen bearer gives full admin API access (including Apps-Engine app installation, i.e. server-side code execution). No account, credentials, userId

Prior to 8.5.0, 8.4.1, 8.3.3, 8.2.3, 8.1.4, 8.0.5, 7.13.7, and 7.10.11, Rocket.Chat's CAS login handler forwards the client-supplied options.cas.credentialToken value straight into a MongoDB findOne({_id: ...}) query without any runtime type check. TypeScript's string parameter annotation is erased at runtime, so an unauthenticated attacker can substitute a MongoDB query operator ({"$gt": ""}, {"$ne": null}, etc.) for what the server expects to be an opaque ticket string. The injected operator matches the first unexpired document in the credential_tokens collection, bypassing the CAS ticket check entirely. When any legitimate CAS or SAML SSO login is in flight, the attacker's next DDP login call matches the same credential-token row via the NoSQL operator and is issued a full Meteor auth token (userId + token) bound to the victim. The token is immediately usable against the complete REST and DDP surface as that user. If the victim is an administrator, this escalates to full instance compromise via Apps-Engine app install. Prior to 8.5.0, 8.4.1, 8.3.3, 8.2.3, 8.1.4, 8.0.5, 7.13.7, and 7.10.11, Rocket.Chat's sendFileMessage DDP method passes the entire attacker-supplied file object into Uploads.updateFileComplete, which merges it directly into a MongoDB $set update via Object.assign. Prior to 8.5.0, 8.4.1, 8.3.3, 8.2.3, 8.1.4, 8.0.5, 7.13.7, and 7.10.11, Rocket.Chat's SAML integration does not verify the signature on inbound LogoutRequest messages. An unauthenticated remote attacker who knows a target user's SAML NameID - which major identity providers (Okta, Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID, JumpCloud) expose as the user's email address - can craft a valid-looking unsigned LogoutRequest and submit it to the SP logout endpoint. The server processes it as legitimate, immediately destroying the victim's session. Because the attack requires no authentication and no interaction from the victim, it can be repeated in a loop against individual users or scripted across many accounts, effectively rendering the Rocket.Chat instance unusable for SAML-authenticated users. Rocket.Chat is an open-source, secure, fully customizable communications platform. Prior to versions 7.10.8, 7.11.5, 7.12.5, 7.13.4, 8.0.2, 8.1.1, and 8.2.0, a NoSQL injection vulnerability exists in Rocket.Chat's account service used in the ddp-streamer micro service that allows unauthenticated attackers to manipulate MongoDB queries during authentication. The vulnerability is located in the username-based login flow where user-supplied input is directly embedded into a MongoDB query selector without validation. An attacker can inject MongoDB operator expressions (e.g., { $regex: '.*' }) in place of a username string, causing the database query to match unintended user records. This issue has been patched in versions 7.10.8, 7.11.5, 7.12.5, 7.13.4, 8.0.2, 8.1.1, and 8.2.0.
