Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix rmmio iounmap skipped on device removal amdgpu_pci_remove() calls drm_dev_CVE-2026-98179 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix rmmio iounmap skipped on device removal amdgpu_pci_remove() calls drm_dev_unplug() before fini_sw(), so drm_dev_enter() is already false there and the iounmap() guarded by it is skipped. This .remove path runs on both hot-unplug and plain rmmod, so the register BAR ioremap mapping leaks one instance per unload. Unmap rmmio unconditionally (guard only on non-NULL) and drop the now unused idx. (cherry picked from commit dd6f86a97260e5207d3329ad03aa89fdad61b1e6)

Sep 16, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: Fix init ordering in amdgpu_vram_mgr_init() drmm_cgroup_register_region() is cCVE-2026-89828 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: Fix init ordering in amdgpu_vram_mgr_init() drmm_cgroup_register_region() is called before INIT_LIST_HEAD() and gpu_buddy_init() in amdgpu_vram_mgr_init(). If it fails, the function returns early and bypasses those initializations. Since adev->mman.initialized is set to true before amdgpu_vram_mgr_init() is called, a failure triggers amdgpu_ttm_fini(), which calls amdgpu_vram_mgr_fini(), which then: - Calls list_for_each_entry_safe() on reservations_pending and reserved_pages, whose list_head::next pointers are zero-initialized (NULL). The loop does not recognize them as empty and dereferences NULL. - Calls gpu_buddy_fini(), which iterates free_trees[] unconditionally via for_each_free_tree(). Since mm->free_trees is NULL (never allocated), this dereferences NULL. Both result in a kernel panic on the module load error path. Fix by moving drmm_cgroup_register_region() to after the list and buddy allocator are fully initialized, so the teardown path is safe to run.

Aug 15, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/rockchip: inno-hdmi: Switch to drmm_kzalloc() Driver makes use of drmm_encoder_init() CVE-2026-74422 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/rockchip: inno-hdmi: Switch to drmm_kzalloc() Driver makes use of drmm_encoder_init() to initialize the encoder and automatically handle the cleanup by registering drm_encoder_cleanup() with drmm_add_action(). However, the internal structure containing the encoder part gets allocated with devm_kzalloc(), which happens while component_bind_all() is being called from Rockchip DRM driver. The component framework further ensures it is deallocated as part of releasing all the resources claimed during bind, which is triggered from component_unbind_all(). When the reference to the DRM device gets eventually dropped via drm_dev_put() in rockchip_drm_unbind(), drmm_encoder_alloc_release() attempts to access the now released encoder structure, leading to use-after-free. Ensure driver's internal structure is still reachable on encoder cleanup by switching from a device-managed allocation to a drm-managed one.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: idpf: fix memory leak of flow steer list on rmmod The flow steering list maintains entries that are added and removed as ethtool creates and deletes flow steering rules. Module removal with active entries causes memory leak as the list is not properly cleaned up. Prevent this by iterating through the remaining entries in the list and freeing the associated memory during module removal. Add a spinlock (flow_steer_list_lock) to protect the list access from multiple threads.

Jan 29, 2026A Server-Side Template Injection (SSTI) vulnerability in the /reporting/templates/preview/ endpoint of Amidaware Tactical RMM, affecting versions equal to or eaCVE-2025-69516 · Other software · Amidaware · reported by MITREHigh 8.8
A Server-Side Template Injection (SSTI) vulnerability in the /reporting/templates/preview/ endpoint of Amidaware Tactical RMM, affecting versions equal to or earlier than v1.3.1, allows low-privileged users with Report Viewer or Report Manager permissions to achieve remote command execution on the server. This occurs due to improper sanitization of the template_md parameter, enabling direct injection of Jinja2 templates. This occurs due to misuse of the generate_html() function, the user-controlled value is inserted into `env.from_string`, a function that processes Jinja2 templates arbitrarily, making an SSTI possible.

PBLE object memory are not statically pre-allocated at function initialization time unlike other HMC objects. PBLEs objects and the Segment Descriptors (SD) for it can be dynamically allocated during scale up and SD's remain allocated till function deinitialization. Fix this leak by adding IRDMA_HMC_IW_PBLE to the iw_hmc_obj_types[] table and skip pbles in irdma_create_hmc_obj but not in irdma_del_hmc_objects().

For a direct attached device, attached_phy contains the local phy id. For a device behind an expander, attached_phy contains the remote phy id, not the local phy id. I.e. while pm8001_ha will have pm8001_ha->chip->n_phy local phys, for a device behind an expander, attached_phy can be much larger than pm8001_ha->chip->n_phy (depending on the amount of phys of the expander). E.g. on my system pm8001_ha has 8 phys with phy ids 0-7. One of the ports has an expander connected. The expander has 31 phys with phy ids 0-30. The pm8001_ha->phy array only contains the phys of the HBA. It does not contain the phys of the expander. Thus, it is wrong to use attached_phy to index the pm8001_ha->phy array for a device behind an expander. Thus, we can only clear phy_attached for devices that are dire

May 1, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: Fix null-ptr-deref by sock_lock_init_class_and_name() and rmmod.CVE-2025-23143 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: Fix null-ptr-deref by sock_lock_init_class_and_name() and rmmod. When I ran the repro [0] and waited a few seconds, I observed two LOCKDEP splats: a warning immediately followed by a null-ptr-deref. [1] Reproduction Steps: 1) Mount CIFS 2) Add an iptables rule to drop incoming FIN packets for CIFS 3) Unmount CIFS 4) Unload the CIFS module 5) Remove the iptables rule At step 3), the CIFS module calls sock_release() for the underlying TCP socket, and it returns quickly. However, the socket remains in FIN_WAIT_1 because incoming FIN packets are dropped. At this point, the module's refcnt is 0 while the socket is still alive, so the following rmmod command succeeds. # ss -tan State Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address:Port Peer Address:Port FIN-WAIT-1 0 477 10.0.2.15:51062 10.0.0.137:445 # lsmod | grep cifs cifs 1159168 0 This highlights a discrepancy between the lifetime of the CIFS module and the underlying TCP socket. Even after CIFS calls sock_release() and it returns, the TCP socket does not die immediately in order to close the connection gracefully.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Revert "smb: client: fix TCP timers deadlock after rmmod" This reverts commit e9f2517a3e18a54a3943c098d2226b245d488801. Commit e9f2517a3e18 ("smb: client: fix TCP timers deadlock after rmmod") is intended to fix a null-ptr-deref in LOCKDEP, which is mentioned as CVE-2024-54680, but is actually did not fix anything; The issue can be reproduced on top of it. [0] Also, it reverted the change by commit ef7134c7fc48 ("smb: client: Fix use-after-free of network namespace.") and introduced a real issue by reviving the kernel TCP socket. When a reconnect happens for a CIFS connection, the socket state transitions to FIN_WAIT_1. Then, inet_csk_clear_xmit_timers_sync() in tcp_close() stops all timers for the socket. If an incoming FIN packet is lost, the socket will stay at FIN_WAIT_1 forever, and such sockets could be leaked up to net.ipv4.tcp_max_orphans. Usually, FIN can be retransmitted by the peer, but if the peer aborts the connection, the issue comes into reality. I warned about this privately by pointing out the exact report [1], but the bogus fix was finally merged. So, we should not stop the timers to fin

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: proc: fix UAF in proc_get_inode() Fix race between rmmod and /proc/XXX's inode instantiation. The bug is that pde->proc_ops don't belong to /proc, it belongs to a module, therefore dereferencing it after /proc entry has been registered is a bug unless use_pde/unuse_pde() pair has been used. use_pde/unuse_pde can be avoided (2 atomic ops!) because pde->proc_ops never changes so information necessary for inode instantiation can be saved _before_ proc_register() in PDE itself and used later, avoiding pde->proc_ops->... dereference. rmmod lookup sys_delete_module proc_lookup_de pde_get(de); proc_get_inode(dir->i_sb, de); mod->exit() proc_remove remove_proc_subtree proc_entry_rundown(de); free_module(mod); if (S_ISREG(inode->i_mode)) if (de->proc_ops->proc_read_iter) --> As module is already freed, will trigger UAF BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: fffffbfff80a702b PGD 817fc4067 P4D 817fc4067 PUD 817fc0067 PMD 102ef4067 PTE 0 Oops:
