Oct 27, 2026Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-107625 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4
The Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'user_url' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.14.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Successful exploitation requires a visitor to click the attacker's Website URL link on their public Ultimate Member profile, a condition that is trivially met since the redirect-confirmation onclick handler is enabled by default on all new installations.

Oct 24, 2026User Profile Builder – Beautiful User Registration Forms, User Profiles & User Role Editor: Limited Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-115807 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.1
The User Profile Builder – Beautiful User Registration Forms, User Profiles & User Role Editor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Limited Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.3. This is due to the Gutenberg Register block passing the attacker-controlled Assigned Role attribute directly into the `[wppb-register]` shortcode without server-side authorization. The role guard in the form builder only downgrades roles that carry the manage_options or remove_users capability, leaving the Editor role and other privileged non-Administrator roles completely unrestricted. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Author-level access and above to create new WordPress accounts bearing the Editor role (or any other role that lacks the two guarded capabilities).

The User Registration & Membership – Free & Paid Memberships, Subscriptions, Content Restriction, User Profile, Custom User Registration & Login Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Checkbox Field Value in all versions up to, and including, 5.2.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Oct 17, 2026The User Registration & Membership – Free & Paid Memberships, Subscriptions, Content Restriction, User Profile, Custom User Registration & Login Builder plugin CVE-2026-92978 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The User Registration & Membership – Free & Paid Memberships, Subscriptions, Content Restriction, User Profile, Custom User Registration & Login Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 5.2.8 This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the trigger_bulk_action function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to force administrators to approve pending user registrations or deny arbitrary user accounts, locking targeted users out of the site via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link. An attacker can bypass the earlier nonce check in trigger_query_actions() by supplying an empty new_role parameter, which causes that handler to return early and cede control to the unprotected trigger_bulk_action() handler; the exit() call at the end of that handler additionally prevents WordPress core's own bulk-users nonce validation from executing.

Oct 16, 2026WP User Avatar / ProfilePress: Arbitrary Shortcode ExecutionCVE-2026-104003 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.4
The WP User Avatar / ProfilePress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary Shortcode Execution in versions up to, and including, 4.17.5. This is due to the get_user_profile_structure() function assembling the front-end profile buffer — which includes raw comment excerpts inlined by author_comment_query() — and passing the entire buffer to do_shortcode() after only a narrow neutralization pass (ppress_neutralize_buffer_shortcodes) that blocks pp-custom-html and bracket fragments containing HTML delimiters but leaves any other well-formed shortcode intact. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary shortcodes (from any active plugin or theme) with attacker-chosen attributes by posting a comment whose body contains the shortcode markup; the shortcode is then executed server-side when any visitor loads the target's front-end profile Comments tab, letting the attacker reach capability-gated or data-returning shortcodes and inject raw HTML markup into a publicly viewable page.

Oct 16, 2026User Registration PRO – Custom Registration Form, Login Form, and User Profile: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-87111 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2
The User Registration PRO – Custom Registration Form, Login Form, and User Profile WordPress Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via HTTP Referer Header in all versions up to, and including, 6.2.9 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This vulnerability is present only in the premium build of the plugin and is not present in the free WordPress.org distribution. The nonce required to call the vulnerable AJAX endpoint is localized into the page source of every front-end page for anonymous visitors, making it fully obtainable by unauthenticated attackers.

The The User Registration & Membership – Free & Paid Memberships, Subscriptions, Content Restriction, User Profile, Custom User Registration & Login Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary shortcode execution in all versions up to, and including, 5.2.8. Oct 16, 2026User Profile Builder – Beautiful User Registration Forms, User Profiles & User Role Editor: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-109447 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1
The User Profile Builder – Beautiful User Registration Forms, User Profiles & User Role Editor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.3 via the `role` parameter handled by the `wppb_add_meta_to_user_on_activation()` function. The vulnerability exists because the activation handler passes the attacker-supplied role value directly to `WP_User::set_role()` with no allow-list validation, and the 4.0.3 reserved-name check exempts pre-existing form fields from the block, allowing a legacy field with meta-name `role` to persist and bridge attacker-controlled request input into the serialized signup record stored in `wp_signups`. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to gain a fully activated WordPress administrator account by submitting `role=administrator` through the public `[wppb-register]` shortcode form and subsequently clicking the confirmation activation link. Exploitation requires the site to have a legacy form field with meta-name `role` carried over from before the 4.0.3 upgrade, email confirmation enabled, and open user registration — all stable site-state conditions once established.

Oct 16, 2026User Profile Builder – Beautiful User Registration Forms, User Profiles & User Role Editor: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-107748 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4
The User Profile Builder – Beautiful User Registration Forms, User Profiles & User Role Editor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'display_name' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.3 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The payload persists in wp_comments.comment_author independently of the user account, so removing or changing the attacker's display name after the comment is posted does not neutralize the stored script.

Oct 13, 2026BP Profile Search: Local File InclusionCVE-2026-104995 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1
The BP Profile Search plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in versions up to, and including, 5.9 via the 'ajax_template' value parsed from the client-controlled 'bps_directory' cookie during BuddyPress AJAX directory requests. The bps_directory_ajax() filter (hooked onto bp_legacy_object_template_path and bp_nouveau_object_template_path) reads the cookie, applies only a referer-derived 'page' comparison in bps_get_directory_data() (where bps_current_page() uses HTTP_REFERER during AJAX and is therefore also attacker-controlled), and then suffixes the attacker-controlled template value with '.php' and passes it to bp_locate_template() with no basename restriction, no whitelist, and no path-traversal check. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to include arbitrary PHP files on the server, which can lead to remote code execution when PHP files can be uploaded or when images such as the default wordpress:php8.

The Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 2.13.1 This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to view privacy-restricted member profile field values — including fields explicitly configured as owner-only, members-only, or role-restricted — by querying the publicly accessible wp_ajax_nopriv_um_get_members endpoint. The nonce required by the endpoint ('um-frontend-nonce') is emitted to all unauthenticated visitors via wp_localize_script, meaning it provides no meaningful access control and any anonymous visitor can satisfy the endpoint's authentication requirements.

The zero-length multipart file branch in wppb_save_avatar_value() writes the raw request value directly to user meta, bypassing the wppb_save_attachment_id()/wppb_verify_attachment_id() validation path; the stored payload is later adopted as a WordPress attachment URL and rendered unescaped by wppb_default_fields_make_upload_button() when an administrator views the affected account.

The One User Avatar | User Profile Picture plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting in all versions up to, and including, 2.5.4 via the wpua_action_process_option_update function. This is due to insufficient file type validation in wp_handle_upload() called without a MIME allow-list, with post-write validation relying on the attacker-controlled client-supplied Content-Type header rather than a server-derived type, and no cleanup of files that fail the check. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible. in order to exploit this vulnerability an admin has to give subscribers permission to upload avatars. Aug 25, 2026Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-18547 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4
The Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Textarea Profile Field with HTML Support (DOM Gadget via id Attribute) in all versions up to, and including, 2.12.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This is possible because the wp_kses 'templates' allowlist permits the id attribute on div elements but does not neutralize unescaped quotes within its value; when pickadate.js concatenates the stored id value into an HTML string via jQuery .html() on profile page load, the smuggled onfocus and autofocus attribute syntax breaks out of attribute context and executes as JavaScript.

Aug 16, 2026The The Paid Membership Plugin, Ecommerce, User Registration Form, Login Form, User Profile & Restrict Content – ProfilePress plugin for WordPress is vulnerableCVE-2026-18385 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.4
The The Paid Membership Plugin, Ecommerce, User Registration Form, Login Form, User Profile & Restrict Content – ProfilePress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary shortcode execution in all versions up to, and including, 4.16.19. This is due to the software allowing users to execute an action that does not properly validate a value before running do_shortcode. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to execute arbitrary shortcodes. The partial mitigation introduced via strip_shortcodes() on [profile-first-name] and [profile-last-name] can be bypassed through the [profile-display-name format="first_last_names"] render path, the [profile-bio] render path (which re-fetches the raw description meta), and the double-bracket escape sequence [[tag]], all of which allow attacker-controlled shortcode text to reach the outer do_shortcode() call.

Aug 15, 2026User Profile Builder: Authentication BypassCVE-2026-15826 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.8
The User Profile Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Authentication Bypass via Type Confusion in versions up to, and including, 3.16.4. This is due to the wppb_log_in_user() function calling absint() on the return value of wp_insert_user() before performing an is_wp_error() check — when a registration is submitted with a 61–70 character username, WordPress core rejects it with a WP_Error object, but absint() coerces that object to the integer 1 before the error check can short-circuit execution, causing the plugin to bind and return a transient-backed autologin nonce tied to user ID 1. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to log in as the site's Administrator account (user ID 1), resulting in full administrative takeover of the site.
