  • Oct 23, 2026pghoard is a PostgreSQL backup daemon and restore tooling that stores backup data in cloud object stores.CVE-2026-63120 · Other software · Aiven-Open · reported by GitHubHigh 8.4

pghoard is a PostgreSQL backup daemon and restore tooling that stores backup data in cloud object stores. Prior to version 2.7.2, an incomplete path traversal fix in pghoard allows an attacker with write access to the backup object storage (such as S3, GCS, or Azure) to execute arbitrary file writes and directory creation outside the designated PostgreSQL data directory (pgdata). When a database administrator executes a restore operation (via pghoard_restore get-basebackup), a maliciously crafted delta backup manifest with path traversal sequences (e.g., ../../../../etc/cron.d/backdoor) will write arbitrary payloads to the host system. This issue has been patched in version 2.7.2.

缺少 asSubclass(Log.class) 校验,非 Log 实现类也会在类型检查前被实例化。 修复在 Class.forName 之后先执行 asSubclass(Log.class),仅允许 Log 子类进入构造。修复pr见https://gitcode.com/opengauss/openGauss-connector-jdbc/pull/423。

A malicious, compromised, or man-in-the-middle PostgreSQL server can send a message header with the length field set to an extremely large value (up to Integer.MAX_VALUE), causing the decoder to accumulate subsequent TCP data into a composite buffer without bound, leading to unbounded memory allocation on the client and an out-of-memory crash. This occurs before authentication completes. The impacted component is io.vertx:vertx-pg-client.

  • Oct 12, 2026Integer wraparound in psqlODBC SQLBindParameter allows an application, or an attacker who controls how many parameters the application binds on one statement, tCVE-2026-109448 · Other software · PostgreSQL · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007Medium 5.9

Integer wraparound in psqlODBC SQLBindParameter allows an application, or an attacker who controls how many parameters the application binds on one statement, to corrupt heap memory. psqlODBC stores the binding count in a signed 16-bit field. Binding parameter number 32768 wraps that count to -32768. Binding parameter 32769 then writes about 2.5 MB of zeros starting 1.25 MB before the binding array, which crashes the application or leaves it running on a corrupted heap. Applications that build parameter lists from untrusted input, such as an IN (?, ?, ...) list, are exposed. Versions before psqlODBC 18.00.0005 are affected.

  • Oct 7, 2026pgjdbc, the PostgreSQL JDBC Driver, versions 42.7.4 through 42.7.13 pads a value that is shorter than its declared length with bytes left in its send buffer insCVE-2026-107315 · Other software · pgjdbc · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007Medium 5.3

pgjdbc, the PostgreSQL JDBC Driver, versions 42.7.4 through 42.7.13 pads a value that is shorter than its declared length with bytes left in its send buffer instead of zeros, and the server stores those bytes as part of the value. The bytes are messages the driver sent earlier on the same connection: SQL text and parameter values of recent statements, which on a pooled connection can come from other requests. Each padded value can carry up to 8192 bytes of this traffic, or 16320 bytes on a connection with GSS encryption. The padding happens when an application declares a length larger than the data it supplies, through PreparedStatement.setObject with a ByteStreamWriter, CopyIn.writeToCopy, PGCopyOutputStream.write, LargeObject.write, or Blob.setBytes. The driver accepts these calls without an error. An attacker who can make the application store such a value and read it back can collect earlier traffic. Applications whose declared lengths always match their data are not affected. Versions 42.7.3 and earlier pad with zeros.

  • Oct 7, 2026pgjdbc, the PostgreSQL JDBC Driver, versions 42.7.11 through 42.7.13 enforce no restriction when the requireAuth connection property excludes all six authenticaCVE-2026-107314 · Other software · pgjdbc · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007Medium 5.9

pgjdbc, the PostgreSQL JDBC Driver, versions 42.7.11 through 42.7.13 enforce no restriction when the requireAuth connection property excludes all six authentication methods the driver knows, for example requireAuth=!password,!md5,!gss,!sspi,!scram-sha-256,!none. The driver then accepts any method the server asks for, including cleartext password authentication. A value without a method in it, such as requireAuth=, (a single comma), is affected the same way. An attacker positioned between the application and its server can ask for cleartext password authentication and receive the database password. A positive list such as requireAuth=scram-sha-256, and a partial exclusion such as requireAuth=!password,!md5, are enforced correctly. The property has no default value, so a deployment that does not set it is not affected. 42.7.14 fixes the problem: such a connection is refused with SQLState 08004, and a value without a method in it is rejected as invalid.

  • Oct 7, 2026pgjdbc, the PostgreSQL JDBC Driver, versions 42.7.4 and 42.7.5 can send the previous contents of the GSS send buffer in place of the first part of a value on a CVE-2026-107313 · Other software · pgjdbc · reported by f86ef6dc-4d3a-42ad-8f28-e6d5547a5007Medium 4.2

pgjdbc, the PostgreSQL JDBC Driver, versions 42.7.4 and 42.7.5 can send the previous contents of the GSS send buffer in place of the first part of a value on a connection with GSS encryption (gssEncMode=prefer or require), and the server stores the value without an error. The buffer is 16320 bytes with MIT Kerberos. The stored value then holds bytes of the messages the driver sent just before it on the same connection, such as the statement's SQL text, its other parameters, and earlier rows of the same batch, instead of the bytes the application supplied. Values at least as long as the buffer are affected when the driver writes them from a byte array: bind parameters set with setString, setBytes, or a ByteStreamWriter, CopyIn.writeToCopy, and LargeObject.write. Most such writes fail with an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException instead. The default, gssEncMode=allow, does not start GSS encryption, and connections without GSS encryption are not affected. Versions 42.7.3 and earlier are not affected, and 42.7.6 fixes the problem.

The postgresql-operator charm runs a Prometheus postgres_exporter to collect database metrics using a dedicated "monitoring" PostgreSQL user. On database connection errors, the exporter writes the monitoring user's password in cleartext to its logs. • Sep 18, 2026pg_partman is a PostgreSQL extension that manages partitioned tables by time or ID.CVE-2026-61822 · Other software · pgpartman · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

pg_partman is a PostgreSQL extension that manages partitioned tables by time or ID. Prior to 5.5.0, run_maintenance() handles exceptions outside the loop that processes rows from part_config, so an exception for one partition set immediately terminates the loop and skips every later set. A role with partman_user access can insert or update a row that reliably fails and assign it a low maintenance_order value so it is processed before legitimate rows. Repeated maintenance ticks then abort before legitimate partition sets are maintained, causing database-wide loss of automated partition maintenance. This issue is fixed in version 5.5.0.

pg_partman is a PostgreSQL extension that manages partitioned tables by time or ID. Prior to 5.5.0, drop_partition_id() and drop_partition_time() use part_config.retention_schema as the target for ALTER TABLE SET SCHEMA and accept any nonempty schema name. A role with partman_user access can select a target schema where the role lacks the normal CREATE privilege, and the background worker performs the relocation with pg_partman_bgw.role privileges, which default to PostgreSQL superuser, bypassing the authorization check that a normal ALTER TABLE SET SCHEMA operation would enforce. This permits unauthorized relocation of retained child tables between schemas. This issue is fixed in version 5.5.0.

  • Sep 18, 2026pg_partman is a PostgreSQL extension that manages partitioned tables by time or ID.CVE-2026-61820 · Other software · pgpartman · reported by GitHubHigh 8.5

pg_partman is a PostgreSQL extension that manages partitioned tables by time or ID. Prior to 5.5.0, inherit_template_properties() manually surrounds primary-key column names from pg_attribute.attname with double quotes without escaping embedded double-quote characters. A partman_user who owns a template table can create a crafted column name that breaks out of the generated ALTER TABLE ADD PRIMARY KEY identifier when the background worker applies the key to a child partition. The generated SQL then executes with pg_partman_bgw.role privileges, which default to PostgreSQL superuser, permitting database-wide compromise and operating-system command execution as the PostgreSQL service account. The crafted catalog identifier persists until removed and can trigger again during later partition creation. This issue is fixed in version 5.5.0.

  • Sep 18, 2026pg_partman is a PostgreSQL extension that manages partitioned tables by time or ID.CVE-2026-61819 · Other software · pgpartman · reported by GitHubHigh 8.5

pg_partman is a PostgreSQL extension that manages partitioned tables by time or ID. Prior to 5.5.0, when pg_jobmon is installed and part_config.jobmon is true, exception handlers in multiple pg_partman functions place p_parent_table verbatim inside a SQL string literal used to call pg_jobmon.add_job(). A partman_user can create a parent-table name containing a single quote that terminates the literal and injects SQL when an affected exception path runs. If pg_partman_bgw reaches that path, the injected SQL executes with pg_partman_bgw.role privileges, which default to PostgreSQL superuser, permitting database-wide compromise and operating-system command execution as the PostgreSQL service account. The persistent part_config row can trigger the escalation again on later maintenance ticks. This issue is fixed in version 5.5.0.

pg_partman is a PostgreSQL extension that manages partitioned tables by time or ID. Prior to 5.5.0, undo_partition() reads part_config.time_encoder as unrestricted text and interpolates it without identifier quoting into a dynamically executed SELECT statement. A role with partman_user access can store SQL rather than a function name, and the SQL executes with the privileges of the caller that invokes undo_partition(). The function is not part of the default background-worker path, which limits the automatic superuser escalation described by the related create-partition vulnerability, but a privileged caller can still have its available confidentiality, integrity, and availability permissions abused. This issue is fixed in version 5.5.0.

  • Sep 18, 2026pg_partman is a PostgreSQL extension that manages partitioned tables by time or ID.CVE-2026-61817 · Other software · pgpartman · reported by GitHubHigh 8.5

pg_partman is a PostgreSQL extension that manages partitioned tables by time or ID. Prior to 5.5.0, run_maintenance(), show_partitions(), show_partition_info(), undo_partition(), and partition_data_time() interpolate the writable part_config.time_dncoder text value without identifier quoting into dynamic SQL. A role with the documented partman_user privileges can store SQL rather than a decoder function name. When an affected operation later uses the poisoned value, including pg_partman_bgw maintenance for a text- or UUID-keyed set, the SQL executes with the operation's privileges, which can be the default PostgreSQL superuser background-worker role. The persistent row can restore elevated access on later ticks, and successful exploitation can permit database-wide compromise and operating-system command execution as the PostgreSQL service account. This issue is fixed in version 5.5.0.

pg_partman is a PostgreSQL extension that manages partitioned tables by time or ID. Prior to 5.5.0, create_partition_time() reads the writable part_config.time_encoder text value and interpolates it without identifier quoting into a dynamically executed SELECT statement. A role with the documented partman_user INSERT and UPDATE privileges can store SQL rather than a function name. When pg_partman_bgw later creates a child partition for a text- or UUID-keyed set, the worker executes the stored SQL with pg_partman_bgw.role privileges, which default to PostgreSQL superuser. The persistent configuration row can repeatedly restore elevated access on later maintenance ticks, and successful exploitation can permit database-wide compromise and operating-system command execution as the PostgreSQL service account. This issue is fixed in version 5.5.0.

  • Sep 16, 2026Marten is a .NET Transactional Document DB and Event Store on PostgreSQL.CVE-2026-75513 · Other software · JasperFx · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1

Marten is a .NET Transactional Document DB and Event Store on PostgreSQL. From version 7.0.0 until 9.13.0, several Marten LINQ and tenant-management paths interpolate runtime, potentially attacker-controlled strings into single-quoted SQL literals without escaping or parameterization. The primary confirmed vector is a dictionary indexer key used by Where filters in src/Marten/Linq/Members/Dictionaries/DictionaryItemMember.cs. Additional affected sinks include SelectParser.cs, DatabaseScopedTenantPartitions.cs, and DeleteAllForTenant.cs reached through IEventStore.DeleteProjectionProgressAsync, while DictionaryContainsKeyFilter.cs (Newtonsoft serializer only; System.Text.Json is not affected) handles ContainsKey calls. Events/Daemon/Internals/EventLoader.cs contains a related per-tenant partition-pruning literal that the advisory identifies as a defense-in-depth sink. A crafted single quote can escape the generated literal, enabling filter or multi-tenant authorization bypass and blind data exfiltration, and deployments that permit semicolon-batched Npgsql statements may also allow data modification. This issue is fixed in version 9.13.0.

Outerbase Studio is a lightweight browser-based database GUI supporting PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQLite. In version 0.10.2 and earlier, TextComponent in src/components/chart/index.tsx renders unsanitized Text Widget content through dangerouslySetInnerHTML, allowing injected markup with script-capable event handlers to execute when the widget is displayed. Outerbase Cloud and its backend services were discontinued in 2025, and the current architecture uses local browser dashboard storage, so the impact is limited to local self-XSS. Authentication token theft, account takeover, and backend database access are not applicable to the current architecture. No fixed release is available as of this review.

  • Aug 20, 2026CloudNativePG is a platform designed to manage PostgreSQL databases within Kubernetes environments.CVE-2026-55769 · Other software · cloudnative-pg · reported by GitHubCritical 9.4

CloudNativePG is a platform designed to manage PostgreSQL databases within Kubernetes environments. Prior to 1.28.4 and 1.29.2, CloudNativePG opened superuser connections without pinning search_path in fillDefaultParameters in pkg/management/postgres/pool/profiles.go. A role holding DATABASE OWNER could create overloaded built-in operators in the public schema and change the database or role search_path, causing instance-manager introspection queries such as SELECT COUNT(*) > 0 FROM pg_catalog.pg_extension WHERE extname = $1 to execute attacker-controlled functions as the postgres superuser. The same trust issue affected direct sql.Open("pgx", ...) callsites and the public.user_search SECURITY DEFINER function, enabling PostgreSQL superuser access, operating system command execution through COPY ... CloudNativePG is a platform designed to manage PostgreSQL databases within Kubernetes environments. Prior to 1.28.4 and 1.29.2, CloudNativePG embedded cleartext role passwords in `ALTER ROLE` and `CREATE ROLE` statements generated by SetUserPassword in pkg/management/postgres/utils/roles.go and appendPasswordOption in internal/management/controller/roles/postgres.go. When pg_stat_statements was preloaded with track_utility enabled and an untrusted tenant held pg_monitor or pg_read_all_stats, the tenant could recover platform-managed superuser or application-owner passwords, reconnect through enabled superuser TCP access, and execute operating system commands in the database pod with `COPY ... phpMyFAQ before 4.1.7, when configured to use PostgreSQL via the native pgsql PHP extension, declares an incorrect LIKE ESCAPE character ('=') in the Search/Database/Pgsql.php backend while escapeLikeWildcards() escapes user input with the '|' prefix. As a result, wildcard escaping is a no-op and user-supplied % and _ characters remain active LIKE wildcards. An unauthenticated attacker can submit such characters in the public FAQ search form to force maximally broad pattern matches and expensive sequential scans, resulting in a denial of service. The PDO PostgreSQL backend is not affected, and quotes remain escaped so this does not enable quote-breaking SQL injection or data exfiltration.

Untrusted data inclusion in PostgreSQL psql COPY may allow a server administrator to elicit execution of data lines as psql commands, via error injection. If the "COPY FROM STDIN" or "\copy FROM STDIN" command fails before the server indicates that it awaits input rows, psql processes the in-line data rows as psql commands. "COPY FROM" with a filename is unaffected. The server administrator has no inherent control over the data rows, so a complete attack requires the attacker to separately acquire control of both the server and the data rows. Alternatively, an attacker controlling data rows alone might complete an attack through a coincidental error that they don't control.
