  • Apr 24, 2026Poetry is a dependency manager for Python.CVE-2026-41140 · Other software · python-poetry · reported by GitHubLow 0.6

Poetry is a dependency manager for Python. Prior to 2.3.4, the extractall() function in src/poetry/utils/helpers.py:410-426 extracts sdist tarballs without path traversal protection on Python versions where tarfile.data_filter is unavailable. Considering only Python versions which are still supported by Poetry, these are 3.10.0 - 3.10.12 and 3.11.0 - 3.11.4. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.3.4.

  • Apr 2, 2026Poetry is a dependency manager for Python.CVE-2026-34591 · Other software · python-poetry · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

Poetry is a dependency manager for Python. From version 1.4.0 to before version 2.3.3, a crafted wheel can contain ../ paths that Poetry writes to disk without containment checks, allowing arbitrary file write with the privileges of the Poetry process. It is reachable from untrusted package artifacts during normal install flows. (Normally, installing a malicious wheel is not sufficient for execution of malicious code. Malicious code will only be executed after installation if the malicious package is imported or invoked by the user.). This issue has been patched in version 2.3.3.

  • Sep 18, 2025A vulnerability has been found in youth-is-as-pale-as-poetry e-learning 1.0.CVE-2025-10671 · Other software · youth-is-as-pale-as-poetry · reported by VulDBLow 2.9

A vulnerability has been found in youth-is-as-pale-as-poetry e-learning 1.0. Impacted is the function encryptSecret of the file e-learning-master\exam-api\src\main\java\com\yf\exam\ability\shiro\jwt\JwtUtils.java of the component JWT Token Handler. The manipulation leads to insufficiently random values. The attack can be initiated remotely. The complexity of an attack is rather high. The exploitability is considered difficult. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used.

  • Sep 7, 2022Poetry is a dependency manager for Python.CVE-2022-36070 · Other software · python-poetry · reported by GitHubHigh 7.3

Poetry is a dependency manager for Python. To handle dependencies that come from a Git repository, Poetry executes various commands, e.g. `git config`. These commands are being executed using the executable’s name and not its absolute path. This can lead to the execution of untrusted code due to the way Windows resolves executable names to paths. Unlike Linux-based operating systems, Windows searches for the executable in the current directory first and looks in the paths that are defined in the `PATH` environment variable afterward. This vulnerability can lead to Arbitrary Code Execution, which would lead to the takeover of the system. If a developer is exploited, the attacker could steal credentials or persist their access. If the exploit happens on a server, the attackers could use their access to attack other internal systems. Since this vulnerability requires a fair amount of user interaction, it is not as dangerous as a remotely exploitable one. However, it still puts developers at risk when dealing with untrusted files in a way they think is safe. The victim could also not protect themself by vetting any Git or Poetry config files that might be present in the directory, beca

  • Sep 7, 2022Poetry is a dependency manager for Python.CVE-2022-36069 · Other software · python-poetry · reported by GitHubHigh 7.3

Poetry is a dependency manager for Python. When handling dependencies that come from a Git repository instead of a registry, Poetry uses various commands, such as `git clone`. These commands are constructed using user input (e.g. the repository URL). When building the commands, Poetry correctly avoids Command Injection vulnerabilities by passing an array of arguments instead of a command string. However, there is the possibility that a user input starts with a dash (`-`) and is therefore treated as an optional argument instead of a positional one. This can lead to Code Execution because some of the commands have options that can be leveraged to run arbitrary executables. If a developer is exploited, the attacker could steal credentials or persist their access. If the exploit happens on a server, the attackers could use their access to attack other internal systems. Since this vulnerability requires a fair amount of user interaction, it is not as dangerous as a remotely exploitable one. However, it still puts developers at risk when dealing with untrusted files in a way they think is safe, because the exploit still works when the victim tries to make sure nothing can happen, e.g. by

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
