Metalama is a Roslyn-based open-source patterns and architecture toolkit for C#. From 2023.0.101-rc until 2025.1.18, 2026.0.25 and 2026.1.19, the Windows Visual Studio integration deserializes local named-pipe messages without restricting which CLR types can be instantiated. The pipe connects `devenv`, the out-of-process Roslyn code-analysis process and the `CodeLens` process, and has the predictable name `Metalama_{role}_{processId}_{hash(PackageVersion)}`. Releases from the first public 2023.0 line through 2026.0.x use Newtonsoft.Json with `TypeNameHandling. All`; the later `SerializationBinder` only remaps assembly names, and `BindToType` resolves arbitrary wire-supplied types without an allow-list. Releases 2026.1.0 through 2026.1.18 use typeless MessagePack with `TypelessObjectResolver` and likewise instantiate arbitrary types. A same-user local process able to write to the pipe can send crafted messages that lead to arbitrary code execution with confidentiality, integrity and availability impacts inside the affected Visual Studio process. Default Windows pipe ACLs limit writers to the same logged-in user, so this does not escalate privileges or cross a security boundary; comma

  • Oct 30, 2026Metalama is a Roslyn-based open-source patterns and architecture toolkit for C#.CVE-2026-62847 · Other software · metalama · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

Metalama is a Roslyn-based open-source patterns and architecture toolkit for C#. Prior to 2025.1.18, 2026.0.25 and 2026.1.19, Metalama.Framework and Metalama.Tool load and execute compile-time assemblies, auxiliary executable tools and embedded helper assemblies from predictable temporary directories. On `Linux` and `macOS`, the default `Path.GetTempPath()` location is world-writable, and existing artifacts are trusted based on sentinel or `.completed` marker files rather than integrity verification. A local unprivileged user on a shared machine or CI/build agent can pre-create the deterministic directory structure and plant a malicious DLL with the matching sentinel. When a higher-privileged developer or build account subsequently builds, Metalama skips regeneration and executes the planted artifact in the compiler, IDE or MSBuild process as the building user. This permits cross-user privilege escalation, reading source and secrets, supply-chain tampering with build output, or disrupting builds. Default Windows per-user temporary directories are protected by ACLs and are not affected. Deployer-selected insecure cache locations are outside the vulnerability's scope. This issue is f

  • Oct 29, 2026Glob matches files using patterns the shell uses.CVE-2026-118773 · Other software · isaacs · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3

Glob matches files using patterns the shell uses. From 9.0.0 until 14.0.2, abort branches in src/walker.ts, including GlobUtil.walkCB(), GlobUtil.walkCB2(), GlobUtil.walkCBSync(), and GlobUtil.walkCB2Sync(), invoke the callbacks without returning. After AbortSignal or AbortSignal.timeout() rejects or emits an error, execution can continue into processor.processPatterns(), readdirCB(), and recursive traversal. The issue affects glob() and globStream() when applications expose attacker-influenced patterns or directory trees and rely on cancellation as a traversal budget. Repeated timed-out requests can stack background filesystem operations and CPU work, degrading worker throughput or service availability; no confidentiality or integrity impact was observed. This issue is fixed in 14.0.2.

  • Oct 28, 2026Cozy Blocks – Website Builder for WordPress Block Editor | Gutenberg Blocks, Patterns & Templates: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-109978 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

The Cozy Blocks – Website Builder for WordPress Block Editor | Gutenberg Blocks, Patterns & Templates plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'productRating.iconColor' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.27 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The vulnerable code path is only reached when the productRating option is enabled and the associated WooCommerce product has a non-zero rating.

  • Sep 16, 2026MikroORM is a TypeScript ORM for Node.js based on Data Mapper, Unit of Work and Identity Map patterns.CVE-2026-84993 · Other software · mikro-orm · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

MikroORM is a TypeScript ORM for Node.js based on Data Mapper, Unit of Work and Identity Map patterns. Prior to 6.6.16 and 7.1.7, the shared SQL layer validates the field key of an orderBy clause but does not validate its direction value before AbstractSqlPlatform.getOrderByExpression concatenates it into an ORDER BY clause. Applications that bind attacker-controlled request data to the direction in em.find(), em.findOne(), em.findAndCount(), QueryBuilder.orderBy(), or QueryBuilderHelper.getQueryOrderFromObject() can permit a raw SQL fragment that performs blind or boolean extraction of data available to the database account. The BaseMySqlPlatform and MsSqlPlatform fallthrough paths have the same behavior, affecting SQLite, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MSSQL, libSQL, and Oracle drivers, while MongoDB is not affected. • Sep 11, 2026The two built-in name-finder patterns exposed by opennlp.tools.namefind.RegexNameFinderFactory - DEFAULT_REGEX_NAME_FINDER.EMAIL and DEFAULT_REGEX_NAME_FINDER.UCVE-2026-82617 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 10

The two built-in name-finder patterns exposed by opennlp.tools.namefind.RegexNameFinderFactory - DEFAULT_REGEX_NAME_FINDER.EMAIL and DEFAULT_REGEX_NAME_FINDER.URL - contain ambiguous nested quantifiers. An application that obtains these finders through RegexNameFinderFactory.getDefaultRegexNameFinders(...) and then applies them to untrusted text through RegexNameFinder.find(String[]) or RegexNameFinder.find(String) can be driven into super-linear backtracking or into unbounded matcher recursion by a small crafted input. For the EMAIL pattern, a long run of local-part characters that is never followed by an @ forces the matcher to re-scan to end-of-input from every starting offset. Cost grows quadratically with input length: an input of approximately 32 KB consumes several seconds of CPU in a single find() call and returns no match, and each doubling of the input multiplies the cost roughly four-fold. For the URL pattern, the query-string sub-expression nests a capturing repetition inside an outer repetition. The JDK matcher recurses once per query token, so an input of approximately 4 KB containing many &-separated tokens exhausts the thread stack and causes java.lang.Sta

The Cozy Blocks – Page Builder for Gutenberg Editor & FSE with 700+ Patterns, 58 Blocks & Templates plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.17. When processing a request with a URL path starting with /status or /sysinfo, WOSHttpStatusModule.dll is to be loaded to handle such URL patterns. The WOSBin_LoadHttpModule function in the dll would be called to set up a "module" object for that module. However, WOSHttpStatusModule.dll is not present in the installation. As a result, a function pointer to WOSBin_LoadHttpModule (which would have been in the export table in WOSHttpStatusModule.dll) is set to NULL, resulting in calling a function at address 0.

  • May 26, 2026MikroORM is a TypeScript ORM for Node.js based on Data Mapper, Unit of Work and Identity Map patterns.CVE-2026-44680 · Other software · mikro-orm · reported by GitHubHigh 7.6

MikroORM is a TypeScript ORM for Node.js based on Data Mapper, Unit of Work and Identity Map patterns. Prior to @mikro-orm/knex 6.6.14 and @mikro-orm/sql 7.0.14, MikroORM's identifier-quoting helper (Platform.quoteIdentifier and the postgres/mssql overrides) and its JSON-path emitters (Platform.getSearchJsonPropertyKey, quoteJsonKey) did not properly escape characters that delimit the SQL identifier or string-literal context they emit into. When application code passes attacker-influenced strings to public ORM APIs that expect an identifier or a JSON-property filter, an attacker can break out of the quoted context and inject arbitrary SQL. This vulnerability is fixed in @mikro-orm/knex 6.6.14 and @mikro-orm/sql 7.0.14.

The Essential Blocks – Page Builder Gutenberg Blocks, Patterns & Templates plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the className, classHook, and blockId attributes in the Add to Cart block (essential-blocks/add-to-cart) in all versions up to, and including, 6.0.4. This is due to insufficient output escaping in the render_callback() function where these attributes are placed into class and data-id HTML attributes using raw sprintf() and implode() without esc_attr() escaping. While the outer wrapper div uses get_block_wrapper_attributes() which properly escapes, the inner divs do not. Skill Scanner is a security scanner for AI Agent Skills that detects prompt injection, data exfiltration, and malicious code patterns. A vulnerability in the API Server of Skill Scanner could allow a unauthenticated, remote attacker to interact with the server API and either trigger a denial of service (DoS) condition or upload arbitrary files. This vulnerability is due to an erroneous binding to multiple interfaces. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending API requests to a device exposing the affected API Server. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to consume an excessive amount of resources (memory starvation) or to upload files to arbitrary folders on the affected device. This vulnerability affects Skill-scanner 1.0.1 and earlier releases when the API Server is enabled. The API Server is not enabled by default. Skill-scanner software releases 1.0.2 and later contain the fix for this vulnerability.

A denial of service vulnerability exists in self-hosted Next.js applications that have `remotePatterns` configured for the Image Optimizer. The image optimization endpoint (`/_next/image`) loads external images entirely into memory without enforcing a maximum size limit, allowing an attacker to cause out-of-memory conditions by requesting optimization of arbitrarily large images. This vulnerability requires that `remotePatterns` is configured to allow image optimization from external domains and that the attacker can serve or control a large image on an allowed domain. Strongly consider upgrading to 15.5.10 or 16.1.5 to reduce risk and prevent availability issues in Next applications.
